A friend has just rang me from Stamford Bridge and says Moyes did not get to the dug out for the first 10 minutes of the second half.interesting!
1.) 05 May 2024 15:55:56
He may aswell not have bothered at all to be fair
2.) 05 May 2024 15:58:24
Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Fulham 5-0 West Ham
Aston Villa 4-1 West Ham
West Ham 0-6 Arsenal
Crystal Palace 5-2 West Ham
Chelsea 5-0 West Ham
Disgraceful, embarrassing, pathetic by a manager who wants us to defend. 30 goals conceded in 6 games its relegation form next season unless things change drastically!
3.) 05 May 2024 16:01:29
Writing his resignation letter I hope
4.) 05 May 2024 16:16:03
As much as I don't want Lopetegui at least he's a defensive manager that can defend unlike Moyes.
5.) 05 May 2024 16:16:51
Its pretty clear to all of us that wevare a busted flush under David Moyes. A very fortunate first half of the season has been brought hone to us with a BANG in this second half of the season (lets remember some fans out there saw this coming) . His tactics don’t belong at the top level anymore.
But, he deserved a better send off from the players than they have given him of late.
We’ve all been on a wonderful journey with Moyes over the last few years.
However, there is so much wrong with this brittle, shallow West Ham squad it is frightening! what's more alarming is that the owners allowed it to get this bad and did nothing!
6.) 05 May 2024 16:41:37
If Sullivan appoints Lopetegui I'm finished with this until Sullivan is gone. Sick of the club I've loved and followed for nearly 60 years being run by a man that cares little for the future of the club and just wants to appoint the bargain available
7.) 05 May 2024 16:50:37
Watched the game and it was embarrassing, can’t say much more, scoreline says it all! The shame is we can be good when we attack, the defence is non existent, it was a practice match for Chelsea!
Defeat is acceptable but not at the score levels we have been defeated by too many times, 4/5/6, that’s Schoolboy Football defeat levels!
But hopefully it will get overhauled in the close season? ???⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
8.) 05 May 2024 17:35:35
MOYES has pleaded with the players to take blame for today. Moyes was asked how to explain why we've had so many heavy defeats this season: he said "Declan Rice. When you’ve got the best midfield player in the country protecting, probably limiting 50 per cent of their attacks it makes you much a better defensive team."! Then why didn't he replace him!
9.) 05 May 2024 20:34:28
I was told lopetegui. Was a smokescreen how wrong it was . Anyway Moyes comments about rice were a proper kick in the nuts for edson Alvarez. Genuinely one of the few players that can hold his head up high this season. Terrible man management. Plus The two bob dwarf shyster needs both barrels aimed at him next week .
10.) 05 May 2024 22:00:35
TONY COTTEE has called for Sullivan and Co to clear out!
09 Aug 2023 10:03:01
Sky says deal for our biggest nightmare is agreed for Maguire and Paqueta. looks like he wants to go to City. West Ham say offer £85 million and he is yours. Long season ahead
1.) 09 Aug 2023 11:11:27
Everton May be about to offer ONANA as part of a MAGUIRE Deal so watch this space. Ward Prowse on his way APPARENTLY which will take 3 weeks to complete. PAQUETA quite rightly wants the move to CITY but seemingly we want £85m which would get us FOFANA, GALLAGHER and Joel Pohjanpalo.
2.) 09 Aug 2023 20:02:09
If City want Paqueta, then £30M + Julian Alvarez should do it.
3.) 09 Aug 2023 21:26:15
He's buy out clause cannot be triggered until next summer at £85 million so we will have him for another season but we are a selling club and it will never end until SULLY is gone.
4.) 09 Aug 2023 22:58:26
Hope Everton hijack the deal. Only time when I'd be happy with someone stealing a transfer.
If city offered 80 for paqueta and we actually reinvested into Gallagher and fofana, wouldn't say that's bad business.
5.) 10 Aug 2023 07:55:14
Paqueta mentioned; the rumour is he'll now not travel to the dizzy heights of Bournemouth on Saturday.
23 Jan 2023 07:49:13
I saw the report came from a publication in France called Mercator Plein . As I say it stated that the deal was done.certainly hope it is true as he would be a good signing.
1.) 23 Jan 2023 10:42:54
I think I’ll wait for the picture of him in our shirt…
2.) 23 Jan 2023 11:41:42
I went to the Lorient fans forum to see if I could get any info and this was the latest post (at time of reading):
"c'est un compte parodique sur un site non-journalistique. par contre certains journalistes ne méritent pas cette appelation"
Which roughly translated means:
"It is a parody account on a non-journalistic site. On the other hand, some journalists do not deserve this name."
So I'm in the 'I don't believe a for a moment we've signed Moffi' camp, at least until the news is broken from an unimpeachable source.
3.) 23 Jan 2023 13:43:11
Moyes has thanked the board for their backijng with the purchase of Danny Ings but he suggests their may not be any further business this window and the latest articles in tabloids shows that we, and spurs and everton are interested in Mauriccio Sarri as our next manager? Not sure about him?
4.) 23 Jan 2023 14:45:49
I, for one, would be delighted to turn our sorry state of affairs into a Sarri one.
5.) 23 Jan 2023 16:38:40
Lampard sacked by Everton
6.) 23 Jan 2023 17:16:46
OMG just read that INGS is injured and out for at least 2 games is this for real so all we've got is BAMBI on ice diving all over the place so we are in trouble now with being reliant on ANTONIO scoring goals for SM is little favourite needs to bang in a few goals when he hasn't looked like scoring lately do not believe for one minute that MOFFI has signed or close to signing as no medical is planned so you cannot sign a player without a medical mind you we are WEST HAM
7.) 23 Jan 2023 19:11:46
Maybe we need to find our own Paul Warhurst from the squad.
For those who remember him.
8.) 23 Jan 2023 22:18:57
I read that Moffi is not keen on a move to West Ham and would prefer Nice.
9.) 24 Jan 2023 07:53:25
MARSEILLE are now in the running for MOFFI. They are offering cash plus BAMBA DIENG (whoi we were once interested in). It seems Moyes wants a Striker and centre back before the window closes. Striker target could be anybody's guess but he best be robust because ours are dropping like flies. As for CB, Micheal Keane's name was mentioned
10.) 24 Jan 2023 12:44:19
Please don't let me walk near upstairs open windows. This is like an old Brian Rix farce. When will I wake up and realise it's all been a dream?
11.) 25 Jan 2023 15:44:20
We are apparently going to call VLASIC back from his loan spell at torino how true is this please Ed.
{Ed002's Note - Sorry I don’t know.}
12.) 27 Jan 2023 10:43:45
As far as I can make out, there's no recall facility available in the terms of Vlasic's loan deal, so I guess that rules that particular rumour out.
13.) 26 Jan 2023 23:45:38
No problem thanks Ed.
14.) 14 Feb 2023 12:48:44
Mercator should stick to making maps
15.) 15 Feb 2023 09:01:31
Mmpr Antonio is / was meant to be our Paul Warship
16.) 20 Feb 2023 08:06:01
Re French references - the phrase "plus ca change" cones to mind ; which I believe means roughly "the more things change the more they remail the same".
22 Jan 2023 13:49:36
Report this lunch time coming out of France says that West Ham have today signed Moffi for £21M . Apparently it is a done deal.
1.) 22 Jan 2023 15:03:49
I’ll believe it once I’ve seen him in the shirt.
2.) 22 Jan 2023 15:16:22
The guy is an absolute beast. Let's hope it's correct.
3.) 23 Jan 2023 00:46:50
Did you read that on NEWSNOW hammer man as they are just an aggregator as Ed has said many times before and they collect related items of storys and displays them as correct transfer news, and I've only seen 1 player sign who they've linked west ham to, so if so don't take it as a done deal like they are reporting, hope your right fella as anybody is better than ANTONIO who imo is shockingly bad and the quicker we get shot of him the better.⚒⚒⚒.
4.) 23 Jan 2023 22:21:48
Sadly, Antonio is going nowhere. With Scamacca and now Ings injured, he's once more the Moyes answer to scoring goals. Don't hold your breath.
5.) 30 Jan 2023 05:43:15
So once again we are left with 1 fit striker who cannot score for toffee and is SM saviour again what a sorry state we are in we have no chance of winning any of our next 3 premier league games and will more than likely get stuffed by derby watch this space.⚒⚒⚒
15 Jan 2023 17:37:07
Apparently according to the sky sports tikka strap West Ham have made a confirmed bid of £25 million for Moffi.
1.) 15 Jan 2023 19:05:02
So they can't sack the incompetent manager but we can submit bids fir players? What a joke
2.) 16 Jan 2023 05:36:27
Grand Moff tarkin could do better than the Shetland somnambulist as played by Peter Cushing rip
3.) 16 Jan 2023 11:33:58
Not sure why he would come to us.
Dithering Dave has completely messed us up not taking advantage in previous windows when we were actually in a decent position.
Remember seeing us linked to Julian Alvarez a while back and thought he looked quality wasn't sure if we were actually interested but Moyes just confirmed he turned the chance to sign him down.
Hlozek hasn't been doing to badly either a player many on this site wanted us to move for and Kretinsky could have easily made it happen.
4.) 16 Jan 2023 14:01:42
MOYES judgement said that ALVAREZ wasn't going to be a success in the premier league so our interest was not followed up, how wrong was MOYES This is a damning assessment of a MANAGER who has lost touch with player recruitment. I very much doubt if Paqueta, Cornet or SCAMACCA were his choices so I suspect Sullivan is still controlling things. Also (whether true or not) it seems that board want to wait until After Saturdays game against Everton to take any action because there will be a tribute to DAVID Gold (God Bless Him). Not quite sure why sacking MOYES has to wait until after Everton game or, iof we win will they change their minds? I suspect so. Whichever, if MOYES does go, it means that his replacement has to hit the ground running with games against Newcastle, Chelse and Tottenham?/

I am sure it will be a big mistake to sell Andy Irvine.he is a good player and 100% committed to WH. He did well today and now that it is more of a squad game he will be needed. Reasonable low wage so we should keep him.
1.) 31 Aug 2025 22:34:32
Agreed solid player not flashy but good squad player
2.) 31 Aug 2025 23:07:37
LOW WAGE! He’s on league one wages £ 4 800 a week, he’s the ONLY player, Sullivan will cry over, when he leaves
17 Aug 2025 23:21:26
We lost the game at 1-45pm. As soon as that midfield was announced we were doomed. Potter must go now, imagine what Chelsea will do to us on Friday!
1.) 17 Aug 2025 23:43:50
I don’t understand Potter, never did, could not understand, the clamour for him, and I said it from his moment of appointment last year, if WH stick with him, he will take us down irregardless of what players come in, he doesn’t suit WH in any way shape or form, his tactics are horrible, and the players , I understand, just find it difficult to play his style, whatever that is,? he’s fallen out with 4 players now, but if you read the news, alls good just dandy at WH, say the ITKs, Potter will put it right, ok let’s see it!
2.) 18 Aug 2025 10:44:45
The first half performance on Saturday wasn’t bad at all, I watched the whole match not the edited highlights on MotD and we controlled the game, nullified the crowd and were unlucky not to go in at half time with a 1 or 2 goal lead. I genuinely thought this would continue into the 2nd half and we’d comfortably win the game. Their first goal game out of nowhere and suddenly we’re a totally different team losing shape and panicking. Then Pacqueta (and how many times has he done this) gives the ball away cheaply in our own defensive 3rd which leads to a corner and ultimately their 2nd and we’re done! There were no leaders on the pitch that could roll their sleeves up and bark orders at people to get stuck in and fight. The manager just sat there stroking his chin! We are lacking leaders on and off the pitch. We need a strong and vocal CB, god what I wouldn’t do to have Dawson back, a tough tackling and athletic midfielder, Elliott and Bissouma would do me and a creative attacker. We have some great kids but without leadership on the pitch how are they going to learn?
3.) 18 Aug 2025 12:59:44
It’s my opinion that Sunderland allowed us the ball in the first half to see what we had. No coincidence that they were a different side in the second half. By then they had the measure of us and came at us. We had nothing to offer in reply and they knew it. Following on from the awful starting line up, our tactics were appalling or non-existent. The substitutions added zilch to a chaotic formula. Something major has to change and quickly. Watching the highlights of the Chelsea Palace game, we are nowhere near that standard, and we’re up against Chelsea next. I heard that the post-match dressing room atmosphere was not the happy bunch of little soldiers we’ve all been led to believe exists. Just my opinion.
4.) 18 Aug 2025 18:36:36
Joyful, I think everyone was taken in (me included) as Potter talks a very good game and is very eloquent. That is why all the fuss was made. Since then he has proved himself a fraud, I was wary as his win rate was so poor at Brighton but gave him the benefit of the doubt. Last season I had had enough of him, but that team selection against Sunderland really took the biscuit, why 5 at the back against them, maybe against top teams but not against others. I am going as usual on Friday with my boys but fear a cricket score and the ground being virtually empty by halftime.
20 Apr 2025 18:36:23
Watched yesterdays game v Southampton. I was very impressed with their No 18 Mateus Fernandes. He had everything we lacked. Endeavour, pace, work rate and the ability to play a killer ball. He is a Portuguese under 21 player. This is the sort of player we need to go in search of, at only 20 I think he has a great future in front of him, although he has 4 years left on his contract I don't think it would be to difficult to prize him away.
1.) 20 Apr 2025 19:25:04
Great shout but we won't look at players like that I guarantee.
2.) 21 Apr 2025 19:07:24
Has anyone seen this kid play. He is an outstanding 20 year old and as Hammer Man said, exactly what we need. Give Saints £10m and Guilherme for him, Ramsdale and walker peters on a free. Sorts 3 positions of Need
3.) 22 Apr 2025 06:58:24
Fernandes is a decent shout, but Ramsdale couldn’t catch a cold. And I’d suggest keeping Guilherme, but shipping out JWP instead. Makes more sense IMO.
4.) 22 Apr 2025 08:31:52
Not seen the youngster you mention play so can’t comment. KWP seems a pretty decent player and can play in numerous positions. With AWB and KWP that means we reach our quota of double barrel names so thankfully JWP will need to go ?
Ramesdale! Not for me, whilst both our keepers have downsides and haven’t been brilliant I don’t see that position as the most important to replace. If the defence in general wasnt under such constant pressure maybe their performances wouldn’t be scrutinised. With Ramsdale you are just replacing like for like.
I think it would be a big mistake to get rid of Guilherme as he is young and has pace that is something natural that can’t be coached. Maybe with some good coaching he could turn into a good player. He hasn’t had enough opportunities to gain any real confidence. Again in this massive rebuild he isn’t a player we should be looking to offload there is plenty of others that need to go before him. Unless we get an absolutely great offer for him.
5.) 22 Apr 2025 12:28:05
Well if rumours are true and we get an offer that we can't refuse for Bowen, we would have Summerville and Guilherme as our wingers next season. None to shoddy because above all else, successful teams have bags of pace and energy up front.
13 Apr 2025 23:13:52
I thought we showed a lot of character at Liverpool today. Yes I know there are several players that need to be moved on at the end of the season. Having said that I am convinced there is a really good player in Luis Guilherme the lad has for me shown sparks of raw talent that can be fine tuned. He showed me today what he is all about. I can hear people reading this saying that is rubbish. But give the lad 3 or 4 full games and give him the opportunity to shine. He is young away from home and needs time.If we sell him I honestly think that would be a massive mistake. This boy could be massive for West Ham over the years to come.
1.) 14 Apr 2025 07:33:19
I agree wholeheartedly.
09 Feb 2025 20:18:58
Can anyone please explain why the latest Iron Cast interview with manager Graham Potter been removed from the West Ham page.
07 Mar 2023 15:47:36
Moyes has never liked Benrahma because he’s a flair player. Not his usual defensive runner who he sees as not giving his all. But he is not that sort of player he is lung busting forward who needs to give his all in the final third. Moyes this season has totally lost the plot as we all know……
11 May 2022 19:02:37
I totally agree that we must do all we can to keep Rice. He is the new heart beat of the club now that Noble is in the process of retiring from playing. We have for to long produced top players to let the so called bigger clubs have all the benefit when they come into there prime. Now we are showing that we can challenge for a European spot at hopefully year on year it is essential to keep your best players to progress.
02 Jun 2021 04:36:41
I also hope he stays. He and his staff have done a great job in the last year. If he listens to his head then he will stay, if he listens to his heart then that may be a different matter. He had 11years at Everton, has he still got a base on Merseyside, would his wife prefer to move back up north. It’s not just the football, but external factors must come into consideration. On our side there are some good managers looking for jobs.
24 Feb 2019 10:38:32
Ambition is a great thing, but we must not fall into the trap that Burnley did this season and qualify for the second rate European competition. Look what a disaster for them and the many clubs that preceded them over the years. That competition is a poison chalice and we must steer clear of it. A Premier league season wrecker in my opinion.
07 Dec 2018 18:11:52
So what can the problem be by not getting Rice on a long term contract. Its about time we were told the truth, or is it just our board being stubborn. It can't be that the club can't afford it as we are paying squad players drastically over the odds.
04 Jun 2024 18:28:49
We have a great youth set up at West Ham. Recent youth cup winners and under 23s having a few great seasons. To take advantage of these great up and coming players you have to play them at the highest level. By now several of the youth should have experience of 1st team football, they are ready and in my opinion of being the new Ferdinand, Cole and Rice. BUT we have had a manager ( Moyes ) that refused to give them a chance and play them, if he had over the last 2 years we would have the Top clubs around the world taking interest in them. They could be future stars, but if you don’t play them you will never get any investment back.
15 May 2024 15:47:15
I totally agree with TinLegs. West Ham can always surprise you….when they should win they don’t, when they should not win they can….I hated the commentators doing Spurs v City. Totally ignoring West Ham and already giving City the championship, total disrespect for us. We can always surprise someone, probably won’t happen but I would really love us to at least get a point….having said that I would hate to see Arsenal win it.
29 Apr 2024 15:20:29
Sorry, as much as I would like you to be right regarding Sloppy Loppy taking the Milan job I can't find this story anywhere. I last heard that the Milan supporters had handed a signed petition demanding he does not become there next manager, and that Milan have cooled on his appointment.
03 Sep 2023 21:51:21
As a West Ham supporter you should care.yes great to see us get a good start to the season.but think of the money the club has lost over the bad judgement and mis use of forwards.must be close to £50 million over the last few years, that should make you care.
07 Jul 2023 12:24:11
We would be mad to let Downes leave the club. He is going to be a very good player if given the matches and time. He shows a lot of passion for the club and deserves his chance.
