Sky reporting Ferguson on a straight loan, so if he does really well we will price ourselves out of a move in the summer, on the other hand commiting 40m to a player that has struggled with injury and scored something like 1 goal in 18 months is too much risk.
Probably left it too late to solve our lack of pace in midfield and 3cb situation although if it gets towards the end of the season and we have little to play for Casey should he given a chance.

Apparently now we are offering Orford in the Duran deal.
Think that's really poor, west ham through and through and England youth International captain.
He would only have to make a handful of successful appearances in the prem for his value to sky rocket.
This could seriously come back to bite us, rather than the club pay a bit extra sulli rather gamble with a youth player.

Not saying Orford will reach that level but he's very highly regarded in the best batch of youngsters since Joe Cole came through.

Doesn't bode well for the Paqueta situation. Considering soucek has signed a new contract aswell.
Apprently the club are holding out for 95m for Paqueta if you add in the Rice, Scamacca and Vlasic money looking at around 230m brought in plus what ever was available before the sales. Crazy money hopefully that gives steidten a chance to bring in some young talent.

Paqueta was more central but the point stands we could have dropped Paqueta deeper and dropped JWP altogether and played with a striker.
Honestly Souceks red card could be a blessing in disguise but I'd rather it have been JWP, he doesn't even try and turn when the cbs give him it just plays it back 9 times out of 10 and he may as well not be there out of possession

No surprise paqueta motm when we bring in a quality midfielder to play alongside him. Just need to get Magassa in and JWP out now, even Irving done more in 20 minutes than JWP has done in the past 3 games.

Is a solid front 3 with paq magassa fernandes behind them.
Get that ST Franculino in and another midfielder so we don't end up with guido and jwp in there again and we can have a good season.

Summerville big impact and of course bowen in his best position makes a massive difference.
Shouldn't have taken this long for potter to figure this out, if he reverts back and continues to play jwp, poor results will return.

There is a difference between the Paqueta of yesterday and that of the last two years. Yes keep yesterday’s one. Fouled, gets up straight away, chases and forms a goal. Topped the stats. You’d forgive a few giveaways easily. Last weeks Paqueta would have sat on the ground staring at the ref after getting knocked over.

JWP is awful.
If we get a couple decent midfielders and Potter's keeps with this formation he needs sacked. Best player out of position and donkeys in midfield.

If we get good midfielders he might ditch the 532. Would prefer a different manager still but have no faith in sullivan to bring someone decent in, will be a cooper or a dyche.
@tin, he's not a terrible option off the bench, good in both boxes. Personally i'd sign 3 new midfielders all ahead of him.

I’ve always liked Soucek as a person and months back I posed the question of why previous managers have not considered converting him into a striker. Maybe they tried and failed? Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter when he’s brought on. He can’t pass a ball and has no off the ball skills. Useless as a midfielder.

We are on our way home from tonight’s match. and couldn’t understand why Rodriguez started. We assumed it was to put him in the shop window to show his fitness. The 2 goals were both headed goals from crosses, yet neither of our strikers were on the pitch?
Wolves won as they went route one, and it worked. When we had 2 strikers on hardly a cross went in the box.
Bowen went bonkers at the end.
Few of us thought Spurs or Newcastle would go in for Bowen and Pacqueta. They need to leave us to save their careers.

They put paqueta stats up on MOTD against forrest, and he was 1st in about 8 different metrics, ball recoveries, duels won, final third passes, chances created.
Watch the goals again at the beginning of everyone he won the ball.
He has a missed place pass now and again as does everyone the difference is with him he always trys to play forward.
Also the amount of times I've seen him have 2-3 players around him and some how he finds a way out is crazy, and they can do that because you don't really have to be worried about soucek or jwp on the ball.
Once we get magassa fernandes ans summerville in the team, paqueta will get even better.

JWP has and always will be a set piece merchant, the stats back that up. Take away penalties and set pieces he's one of the least effective players in most metrics. I hope Southampton are desperate enough and pay us something stupid to get him back.

Been trying to watch videos of his tactics at different clubs and it would seem he is fairly flexible tactically. I do think at least he will play bowen in his best position, summerville and maybe even Guilherme would benefit from a fast counter attacking style. Paqueta and fernandes more than capable at playing quick forward passes into those. Should be interesting to see what he goes with as it's not given he'll be a carbon copy of what he done at forest.
Seems more charismatic and much less of a soft touch compared to Potter.
