Linked with robin Gosens at LB 9 goals, 11 assists for Atlanta would be amazed if we got him not sure where the money would come from.

Iron.Al

1.) 10 Sep 2020 21:10:21
All the Ed’s have said Money is tight and that players have go out wheelchair lanzini etc GDS loam the money and act as guarantees. When we have bought early in past teams seem to only want players on loan taking advantage that we need them of the wage bill.

2.) 10 Sep 2020 21:26:10
I'd be proper made up if we were to sign Robin Gosens.

3.) 10 Sep 2020 21:43:24
I'm really pissed about WILSHIRE as he's apparently over his playing weight and looks slow and cumbersome in training I really bigged him up but he clearly is just picking up serious money and not giving nothing back but there in makes the point on SULLIVAN signing named has been that are severely croaked or well past their best before date there should be something clubs can do to stop players doing this like what WILSHIRE has down once bitten triple shy as CARROL and DYER have also done their part in conning WHUFC and not giving nothing or next to nothing back. COYI.

4.) 10 Sep 2020 23:05:00
Think when is not fit to play he gets 20k a instead of 70/ 80k.

5.) 11 Sep 2020 08:24:21
I think if West Ham suddenly have the money to buy Tarkowski AND then buy a £25-30 million left back, it’s probably because we have agreed to sell Declan Rice.

Otherwise I simply don’t see where the money is coming from.

6.) 11 Sep 2020 09:37:26
The owners take out loans which they guarantee so don’t be surprised if they do invest the drop is far more expensive scatter gun approach out and some excess players.

7.) 11 Sep 2020 21:08:39
That can't be true Ed surely that WILSHIRE only gets £20k a week if he's injured thanks Ed. COYI.

03 Sep 2020 21:27:29
Takehiro Tomiyasu - any truth in this link Ed's?

Iron.Al

{Ed002's Note - As previously stated there has been interest in Tomiyasu but it looks very unlikely.}

Apparently Jeremy ngakia has rejected a new deal.

Iron.Al

1.) 22 May 2020 13:14:37
I’ve seen this being reported as well.

Unfortunate as he’s a quality talent, but we don’t need any players that don’t want to play for us. If that’s his attitude, then thank him for his service and wish him the best of luck.

2.) 22 May 2020 13:34:48
It's a strange one maybe it's a ploy by his agent to try get a better deal or he's been tapped up.

I do remember talk of him being offered scholarship level wages.

Either way youd think his best option would be to stay here and fight for the RB spot it seems like both johnson and Frederick's are injury prone.

3.) 22 May 2020 13:59:21
Hes been at West Ham since he was 14 we don't want to keep him if he has decided to leave. But i do think he is a disgrace to leave WH now he has played in our 1st tean. The good news is we don't need people of his calibre and loyalty.

4.) 22 May 2020 21:07:55
I'm sick and tired of greedy little rubbishs that are led on by even greedier agents West Ham offered £5k a week that's a quarter of a million a year for a teenager or about the same as 8 corona virus Nurses get I know who I can do wothout

Jeremy just needs to remember Rees Oxford and quin a neither of which can get a first team start.

5.) 23 May 2020 08:09:50
Let’s be honest, Ngakia appears to be more than a decent talent, yet I understand why everyone appears he is greedy. If we have offered him £5k per week, surely a bonus system could be built in? A decent bonus system. Games played, goals, clean sheets, appearances accrued etc. This way everyone wins. The alternative is to call his bluff and say goodbye and sell him to someone up north. Then he’ll realise what he’s given up.

6.) 23 May 2020 08:12:48
With you all the way merceri👍👍.

7.) 24 May 2020 00:09:39
Just because the club wants to tie him down now doesn’t mean he has to. I don’t see that makes him greedy, or wanting away. If I was him and had a couple of first team games I would probably want to wait till season end and see what the clubs plans are for me. What if he signs and then we buy an international defender and he drops down to third choice and his chances of getting game time become non existent. Why rush for him?

8.) 31 May 2020 02:01:17
We are all guessing regarding wages we don't know the bottom to the top of a wage structure including bonuses, match appearances, but if it's about money at his age then we've got problems, I ain't going to guess at 18 years of age I'd be buzzing just being around the first team and playing also it's probably a greedy agent telling him we've got west ham in a corner and we will get what we want but SULLY although I don't like the way he sometimes makes our transfer targets public, but he ain't earn over £500 million from being a clown though sometimes acts like one anyway if it's about money he's played more 1st team games than OXFORD did but could end up sitting on the bench keeping it warm just like him we shall see if he's got west ham in his heart I do understand we all try and get as much money as possible but this is what's gone wrong in football agents and players demanding far to much money because they are on a big percentage but come on get your nut down for a couple of years then the money will take care of itself if he shines which I believe he has definitely got the ability but hey ho we shall see. COYI.

Sander Berge has signed for Sheffield.

Eds any news on full backs?

Any truth that we are trying to hijack crystal palaces deal for Jarrod bowen?

We seemed to have sprung to life if reports are to be believed however i fear to little to late. Wasted to much time on gedson.

Iron.Al

{Ed002's Note - I agree it is late - no preferred targets will be picked up but there is interest in Bowen. Not a great approach as you can imagine.}

1.) 31 Jan 2020 10:28:04
Cheers Ed.

11 Jan 2020 23:20:58
Gedson now likely to spurs. Think it was too good a deal not to be hijacked especially by levy very believable.

Iron.Al

1.) 12 Jan 2020 10:30:02
Was pretty obvious, I belieave he has the same agent as Mourinho and we can't compete with spurs in transfer market, think we need to be smarter and more realistic with targets to be honest.

2.) 12 Jan 2020 16:37:37
It was looking promising maybe we were just used to drum up interest. Read somewhere multiple differnt agents are working on the deal one of them being mendes who as you point out is Mourinhos agent also. We need him more than spurs maybe as negotiations go on he will decide he's more likely to get game time with us.

3.) 12 Jan 2020 22:57:36
We should be able to compete with SPURS as we have three very wealthy owners. COYI.

4.) 12 Jan 2020 23:53:38
He is going to Spurs, no chance now.

5.) 13 Jan 2020 12:45:16
Never was a chance . The lad was being touted everywhere by his agent oh and then it turns out he has multiple agents all pulling in different directions. Sounds like a mess.

Moyes has said the Haller offer was unexpected and not planned. In my opinion we should have been looking at striker irregardless of him leaving so that shouldn't be an excuse not to bring in a striker in time.

Hallers 45m price tag was probably inflated by Sulli to look like he's spent big.

Iron.Al

1.) 09 Jan 2021 17:11:49
They have been looking at strikers but with haller and snodgrass moving in freeing up more wages we could bring 2/ 3 players in . Jan windows tend to be expensive and difficult to bring players in so it be like for like replacement the striker and additional funds until the summer given our current league position with the potential to pick up points against teams in the lower half of the league not taking anything for granted, but it would be nice to go to Liverpool on 30 plus points and give them a good game.

2.) 09 Jan 2021 17:57:52
Moyes is saying we are not prepared to bring anyone in. I don't see how they can sell Haller without replacements lined up its poor if true maybe Moyes is trying to lower expectations?

I think we might see a debut for Odubeko on Monday night. Yarmo, Bowen, Benrahma could all be in frame to start up top.

Id take Dembele, Sima, boulaye Dia, any of these. Dia looks similar to Antonio but more of a natural striker. Sima very young but I think he would cause teams problems and has good potential. Dembele has been linked to so of the biggest clubs in the world so would be a real coup but unlikely.

We are in a good position as far as points but we need a striker! We can't rely on Antonio to play 90 minutes every week. We have a good opportunity to push those European places but we could easily slide down the table if we struggle to score.

3.) 09 Jan 2021 20:28:16
Couldn’t agree more al.

01 Jan 2021 19:41:55
Would much rather have seen balbuena in starting line up he's been solid and the level he plays at is higher than Dawson in my opinion.

Dawson got MOTM but it was a bit charitable for me he got skinned when Danny ings scored (offside) and he gave the ball away in a very dangerous positions which Southampton should have capitalised on. If that went in we would have been saying disaster debut. For me this is Moyes trying to say it was a good signing on his behalf. Balbuena should have been restored! Let's see how he does tonight.

Iron.Al

1.) 01 Jan 2021 20:05:06
Don’t think that is right I just think Balbuena needed a rest. Dawson has done fine across the two games doing what he does.

2.) 01 Jan 2021 21:00:56
Ogbonna is the man though!

29 Dec 2020 17:24:00
Dawson cresswell and Frederick's in a flat back four. I thought Southampton press high and Frederick's is poor playing out from the back but he has got pace.

Another strange selection from Moyes the attack is a lot better but the defense is weak! Dawson over diop?

Iron.Al

1.) 29 Dec 2020 17:56:26
He says his changes are not because of how we played or formation but because there are so many games in such a short period, is he having a laugh.

2.) 29 Dec 2020 17:58:28
Gonna get destroyed tonight.

3.) 29 Dec 2020 18:58:43
Holding on so far.

4.) 29 Dec 2020 18:58:47
Is Diop on his way out?

5.) 29 Dec 2020 18:58:50
Yeah doesn't matter what he says everyone knows his formation/ team selection against brighton was poor.

His subs are usually negative wouldn't be suprised to see him take one of creative players off now for someone more defensive in hope we can get a point. Hopefully not I'm hoping Southampton can't keep this intensity up and that will give the likes of lanzini and yarmo abit more time on the ball Fornals seriously deep when we are out of possession playing deeper than masuaku does when he's at wing back.

6.) 29 Dec 2020 19:09:23
Turned it off at HT, sick of watching useless weak 22 that loves to fake challenges and constantly hides, Moyes needs to wake up, no Bowen, disgrace👎👎👎.

7.) 29 Dec 2020 19:51:30
I want to see benrahma and Antonio start a game together.

8.) 29 Dec 2020 20:11:41
Good to get the draw, refused to watch the second half, will not watch again when I know number 22 is selected!
Good to see Ant given a run out but don’t know how he did? Yarmo weak and disappointing in the first half, never saw Benrahma but hope he did enough to warrant another chance in our next game? Leaving out Coufal was unbelievable to me, wake up Moyes😵😵😵.

9.) 29 Dec 2020 20:14:12
You missed a good second half chelms good positives substitutions from Moyes and we were the better team second half and unlucky not to take all 3 points benrahma was denied the winner by a good reaction save. Haller isn't as bad as people make out he linked the play fairly well. You should know by now what to expect he's not going to run in behind like antonio.

Although wouldn't have minded seeing bowen up top I think he would run the channels well and it's not like we would really miss him in a creative sense when we have lanzini, yarmo, benrahma and Fornals.

10.) 29 Dec 2020 20:19:06
Me too, if Moyes can quell his infatuation with number 22😠😠.

11.) 29 Dec 2020 20:46:07
Moyes definitely doesn't have an infatuation with him we only have 2 strikers and one has been injured. He just doesn't fit the style of play and is not quick enough to run in behind for it to be effective it does highlight Moyes's tactical inflexibility aswell.

12.) 29 Dec 2020 23:21:33
I agree iron, unfortunately we are not blessed with options and our play does not suit Haller, a true fan watches the whole game chelms, we will always have bad games and bad decisions will be made.
I was personally glad that Bowen didn’t start, hasn’t really offered much in last half dozen games and needs a kick up the ass!

Dawson was solid in all fairness and I got one was pleasantly surprised, think he’s earned his place on next starting line up.
Southampton are a good side and their manager has got them working hard, main thing is we are avoiding losses unlike previous years, need to kick on over next few very winnable games and get the confidence back.

Any thoughts on who we would like to sign in window?
I would like to see Sima and Kral arrive if we can get anything done.

13.) 30 Dec 2020 07:17:37
Bobby, To say I am not a true fan is quite insulting although hopefully it wasn’t meant to be? We all react to situations in different ways and true fans are very passionate, we wouldn’t be wasting time on airing our views on sites such as these if not? I was first taken to ⚒in about 1954 aged 10, then attended home and midweek games when starting work in 1959! So they don’t come much more passionate or true a follower than me Bobby? ⚒⚒⚒.

14.) 30 Dec 2020 08:25:09
Definitely not meant to be insulting but we are West Ham and this is the norm for us, how many people turned off at Tottenham when we are 3-0 down, this is what West Ham do and yes you get your horrible games to watch but you also get some exciting games from nowhere.
Moyes has to look at his selection over this period as we are not blessed with a huge squad and do not have several alternate players for each position to choose from.
Haller does have goals in him but if we are not going to play to his style then we should move him on.

15.) 30 Dec 2020 10:17:52
Bobby, thank you👍I knew you didn’t👍👍But I still won’t watch a TV game if H is starting🤣😂⚒⚒⚒
Stevie, your comment made me smile with H’s exit, never saw him subbed for obvious reasons, shouldn’t have switched it off🤣😂👍👍⚒⚒.

27 Dec 2020 14:08:13
5 defenders 3 defensive mids against Brighton very negative line up even more so than against Chelsea?!

If the wing backs are pinned back we will have very little width in an attack sense.

Very strange line up I thought brighton had injured full backs?

At least we have benrahma lanzini yarmo on the bench but if Moyes throws on snodgrass in front of them he's un doing a lot of the hard work in my opinion.

Iron.Al

21 Dec 2020 19:46:21
Stoic Noble performancing incoming.

Iron.Al

1.) 21 Dec 2020 20:23:12
Midfield is all over the place. Its like west ham of old.

2.) 21 Dec 2020 20:52:16
They should sub noble, well off the pace get benrahma on as we need a player out there
If they sub noble at half time they will get him back to the home before they notice he’s gone.

3.) 21 Dec 2020 22:02:30
0 shots on target v a very average Chelsea side. No one covered them selves in glory tonight but I fail to see what Noble, (where was he supposed to be playing? AMC? ) brings to the side apart from sideways passes and slowing the side down to his pace.

Very poor selection, tactics and application tonight. Price we pay for having a wafer thin squad and yet Moyes says he's happy with it? Give me a break.

4.) 22 Dec 2020 02:10:21
3 nil was extremely flattering. There first goal fair play good cross good header.

Second from a scuffed shot turned into an assist. The third well I thought bundling the goal keeper onto the floor in his own goal was a foul maybe not?

Couldn't find anything wrong with Bowen's goal either.

Hallers always going to get criticism I knew as soon as I seen the way we set up it would be a tough night for him furest foward midfield was noble. Fornals noble no pace to get anywhere near him bowen needs to be higher up.

Definitely correct about the squad injuries in certain areas and we are light let's hope no more. would have been good game for lanzini to come back into after controlling the attackin play against palace.

Positive for me is how we controlled areas of the pitch where we wanted to play but the creativity and cutting edge was seriously lacking.

I think the total amount of loans from an English club is 2 but can add 2 more from foreign clubs but I could be wrong.

I don't really get the lingard transfer we have lots of attacking midfielders already the loan fee is high and he's not match sharp he's barely played.

Striker should have been sorted based on Eds post below it doesn't sound to promising.

Hee chans record for Salzburg is decent but doesn't look like he's stepped up at other clubs. Very fast and works hard could be a useful addition.

No business ever with spurs plus they couldn't afford him.

No point in going to Arse either and they again would not pay the minimum price of 80m.

Rice should stay and become a west ham legend we have the makings of a really good team with the correct investment and youngsters like odubeko, baptiste, diallo, johnson coming through in the next couple seasons we could be a European regular. Noble to lift the FA cup retire and become director of football.

Agree chelms! I hope we are not silly enough to pay it he's going to be available on a free transfers in 6 months.

Boulaye dia for me seems like the only one that's reasonably priced. Strong, quick, hardworking and in great goal scoring form. Makes sense but I wonder if we are trying other targets before going back in for him by that point i reckon another team will be in for him at around 10-15m it could represent a steal he looks made for the prem.

16m seems abit much based on age and OOC. Also reports of him wanting 120k a week! With his injury record it all seems abit to pricey but as Ed has mentioned below with him we would at least know what level he can perform at in the Premier league.

I wouldn't want him agree with chelms he's done nothing since Villa.

Unfortunately I think you are correct aawell Billy. As fans we all want to see ambition and there is a great opportunity for Europe but injuries in those areas where we are light could easily derail that. Also Europe would mean we would have to invest even more into the squad.

Odubeko would have been ahead of yarmo and afolayan I think this lad might be abit special but I agree its a lot of pressure for a young lad but also a great opportunity.

Regarding benrahma it was his pass to bowen that opened things up for the first goal. Then he played another good pass for Antonio that could have easily ended up a goal. I thought there were a lot of good things he done tonight some really nice bits of play. Only a matter of time before the assists and goals start coming for him.

I don't think sulli would be too pleased. didn't arnautovic take a new contract with some loyalty bonus then leave anyway?

Yeah providing his fitness and sharpness are up to scratch and he hasn't been wasting away in the Chinese league i'd take him back rather nothing.
