Sky reporting Ferguson on a straight loan, so if he does really well we will price ourselves out of a move in the summer, on the other hand commiting 40m to a player that has struggled with injury and scored something like 1 goal in 18 months is too much risk.
Probably left it too late to solve our lack of pace in midfield and 3cb situation although if it gets towards the end of the season and we have little to play for Casey should he given a chance.

Apparently now we are offering Orford in the Duran deal.
Think that's really poor, west ham through and through and England youth International captain.
He would only have to make a handful of successful appearances in the prem for his value to sky rocket.
This could seriously come back to bite us, rather than the club pay a bit extra sulli rather gamble with a youth player.

Surprised Cresswell is looking likely to go but happy to see we are being linked with some top young LBs. Just need Emerson to play like he's playing in a cup final every week.

Al You need to watch the end of Potters pre match press conference as he was waxing lyrical about JWP. I paid special attention to him in the Liverpool game and he constantly received the ball facing the opposition goal and in a few movements managed to do a 180 and face our goal and pass backwards or sideways

Good result and much better team performance today, was nice to see us go and kill the game off rather than sit back and invite pressure like we would have done last season.
Didn't think I'd say this but the decision to take kudus off at half time last week might actually have been a good one I thought he was more a team player this week in the sense that his decision making was better when to pass or go on a run, if we see more of the ball he doesn't have do everything himself like he did at times under the previous manager.

Unbeaten in their last 4 and only lost to city and Liverpool so far. Not the same level on paper as us but they are a good team.
Wouldn't say they cut us to pieces either, they had spells as every team will but we were comfortable, Limiting them to 2 shots on target one of which Areola usually saves.
Our back 4 looks solid imo todibo top class. We've looked leaky when one of the midfielders drops in between the cbs and the full backs get high. Think the flat 4 with the 3 in front suits our players better.
We know what spurs are going to do they are going to commit loads forward and leave themselves open on the counter. We have nothing to fear.

A good start today. Were unlucky to be pegged back to 1.1 then it was pretty average to poor for most of the rest of the first half but got our second at just the right time . Second half I thought we were really decent. Centre backs look to have good partnership and JCT looks a class act. Okay it was only Ipswich but they are not a dreadful side. We may find it much more difficult in two weeks time, but as Al said no need to fear as we will get chances without doubt.
There is no way Ipswich tore us to pieces but we did create some of our own problems in defence with a few risky balls and some strange runs across our own penalty area.

Wasn't a bad team selection but the set up really played into Chelseas hands with alvarez practically a cb. A flat back 4 with guido and alavrez in front would have been a lot more solid.
Pen might have changed the game but another poor refereeing performance.

Not blaming the ref, the problem was the set up. Chelsea have a ridiculous amount of talent to choose from also and will do that to a lot of teams this season. The manner of the goals was really poor though.
We've had a really tough start and who gives a rubbish about moyes before today the same fixtures last season seen us concede 8 more goals.
Hopefully things click soon and we go on a good run of games.

I have to say I knew nothing about this Manager prior to him getting the job and now I’ve seen his first 5 games in charge my opinion is that he’s actually a downgrade on Moyes. First alarm bells rang last week with his team selection. Today the errors in decision making were endless. The players already look demotivated and don’t know what the manager is tactically trying to achieve. Bowen looks unhappy, Pacqueta uniterested, Kudus frustrated. We are 3:0 down and he takes Summerville off and replaces him with Antonio! At least Ings scored last week if you must take one of our bright sparks off. Oh and then with 20 minutes to go he brings Cresswell on! The Manager does not know what he’s doing and this is transcending through the players!

One of the worse organised teams I have ever seen. AWB and Emerson seemed to be playing as right and left wingers it was so easy for Chelsea just to play through or round us. All this has to be the fault of the managers instructions.

Rejecting a player on a free then then signing him for 25m a season later sums us up.
Honestly that would be the best case scenario on Paqueta if us and the player get compensated. But it'll be nowhere near what us and Paqueta have lost out on.
If he is cleared I still don't think we should accept less than 60m for him, I'm hoping he's cleared soon and he has an absolute blinder rest the season and rediscovers the form that city were willing to pay 80m for.

As usual we are pleading poverty again, but maybe the poor spending has finally caught up to us.
Surely Sullivan can't be that inept he'd put us in a position we have that little to spend when we need arguably one of our biggest rebuilds?
Fortunately there are some good players out or contract,
Know a lot of people myself included want us to sign a lot of younger players, but we definitely need some players with prem experience if we end up with about 10-12 players leaving so maybe one of those players from city if we can get for a decent wage shouldn't be sniffed at.
As for Gomes and Tottenham offering a lot more, I think where we have an advantage is how much game time he'll get walks into our team at present.

9 times out of 10 that foul on paqueta is given these days, players wait for the contact go down and win a free kick see it multiple times a game but obviously not given away at anfield when they need a winner.
Paqueta back to his best today bodes well with reports the trial went well.
Pretty much every game under Potter has been close, performances have been a bit of a mix but at least the games have still been close some lost by fine margins and poor ref decisions. Like today and against Bournemouth, I mean fullkrug took a flying knee to the head in the box against wolves, clear pen.
I think if potter had a fully fit fullkrug would have made a big difference.

Alvarez, soler, paqueta all better midfielders than jwp, they actually try and play the ball forward and don't take 4 5 touches before deciding to go back, as seen today.
Ref had a stinker, player slips over and they score from the resulting free kick. Right infront of him, VAR can spend 5 minutes looking at fouls in build up play but can't take 10 second to look at a free kick that lead directly to a goal. Joke.

Don't think he will be dropping training cone sidewards and backward passing jwp, he assisted today so will keep him in the team and then in 4-5 games time he'll pick up another assist from a set piece.
