Apparently now we are offering Orford in the Duran deal.
Think that's really poor, west ham through and through and England youth International captain.
He would only have to make a handful of successful appearances in the prem for his value to sky rocket.
This could seriously come back to bite us, rather than the club pay a bit extra sulli rather gamble with a youth player.
1.) 25 Jul 2024 14:16:58
Typical Sullivan tactic am afraid. ANything to save a few quid
2.) 25 Jul 2024 14:50:35
Sullivan is a cancer . That needs removing. He hasn't got the money to own a club of the size of west ham United. Contrast him and mike Ashley who despite being way richer admitted he couldn't afford to own Newcastle united. It's all ego and no responsibility with the dwarf .
3.) 25 Jul 2024 15:21:28
Looks that way, think he's forgetting Rice sold for 105m and was our best player for years before he left.
Not saying Orford will reach that level but he's very highly regarded in the best batch of youngsters since Joe Cole came through.
Personally I hope he tells west ham he wants to stay and fight for a new contact.
4.) 25 Jul 2024 15:41:09
Aston Villa want Lewis Orford included in the Jhon Duran transfer but West Ham DO NOT want to lose Orford as they rate him very highly.
No agreement has yet been reached between Aston Villa and West Ham but talks continue.
5.) 25 Jul 2024 16:04:40
Where did you read that Oshee? I had a sneaky feeling it might have been what they've asked of us not what we have offered. Despite the likes of Exwhuemployee and Romano all saying its what we have offered them.
Orford needs to be taken off the table and compromise needs to be made by both sides. Meet in the middle is best for both.
6.) 25 Jul 2024 18:17:29
Conflicting stories doing the rounds. Steidten and LOP do not want our youngster included in the deal
7.) 25 Jul 2024 21:10:33
surely sullivan wouldn't be offering players without speaking to Tim and lop first!? Really bad if true.
10 Aug 2023 15:32:55
C&h reporting we could sign JWP and Mctominay within the next 72 hours.
French publication reported we have opened talked for Wahi.
1.) 10 Aug 2023 16:33:58
One or the other apparently. More money for moyes to waste
2.) 10 Aug 2023 18:56:08
Depends how you read into the quote on the site however ex has now suggested the same.
Doesn't bode well for the Paqueta situation. Considering soucek has signed a new contract aswell.
Apprently the club are holding out for 95m for Paqueta if you add in the Rice, Scamacca and Vlasic money looking at around 230m brought in plus what ever was available before the sales. Crazy money hopefully that gives steidten a chance to bring in some young talent.
3.) 13 Aug 2023 02:31:28
Please not MCTOMINAY especially for the money being rumoured to be FOFANA is on a different planet than him but he's not a premiership proven player could somebody please tell me why why why the FU-K did STEIDTEN come to WEST HAM when we have got a complete CONTROL FREAK in MOYES that the foreign talent STEIDTEN has spotted SERGEANT MOYES has told the other CONTROL FREAK JIM MY "SULLY" CRANKY he doesn't want them as they either haven't played for UTD or in the premier league.
4.) 14 Aug 2023 00:14:10
We bought Scamacca last year from outside of the Premier league, nobody had heard of him and guess what ….it didn’t work out . How many times have you seen Fofana play and what makes you so certain he’ll be better than what we’ve already got? I don’t understand why you would think somebody is on a different planet to options who have played in the PL?
5.) 16 Aug 2023 15:44:31
McTominay played on left wing other day; if he's happy with it then fine. If not, come to the Olympic stadium lad!
6.) 16 Aug 2023 16:18:50
Paqueta slightly different position but same background though mate. He is going to get us 100k more. Or stay and be brilliant hopefully.
04 Aug 2023 11:32:10
According to Alan Nixon, we've requested the medical info for both Maguire and Mctominay.
Looks like Moyes is getting his way, shame because there are better, cheaper, younger options available.
1.) 04 Aug 2023 14:04:00
I bloody hope not!
Apparently, Tim Steidten has promised “signings in two days”.
2.) 04 Aug 2023 15:35:20
Where did you hear that tin? C&H's source confirm the medical request is true for Maguire but not the case with Mctominay.
One thing I do know is the media are having an absolute field day. Daily star saying that moyes and Steidten came to blows? what an absolute circus. Honestly I didn't want Rice to leave but with the fee and Stiedten coming in I was optimistic we'd push on but instead we get this.
3.) 04 Aug 2023 21:13:19
I don’t know the strength of it, but West Ham Network were claiming an exclusive earlier today, quoting Steidten. He didn’t say which players. Just described them as “signings”.
4.) 05 Aug 2023 01:38:46
Alvarez is most likely signed I hear.
5.) 05 Aug 2023 01:40:22
More likely to be Alvarez and Fofana than the Utd lads.
6.) 05 Aug 2023 01:52:17
Nixon may have pulled a rabbit out of the hat there, from what I hear.
7.) 05 Aug 2023 14:54:41
Must have been David Nixon ?if you’re old enough to remember who he was??⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
8.) 05 Aug 2023 20:50:41
Exactly my dear Chelmsford!
9.) 08 Aug 2023 11:14:47
Steidten meant he is going to sign two autographs.
10.) 08 Aug 2023 19:51:55
I'd rather MAQUIRE than MCTOMINAY a million percent.no sorry £35 million percent.⚒⚒⚒?♂️
20 Jul 2023 13:14:32
Romano has given the here we go on Carlos Borges to West Ham, 19 year old from Man city, 28 goals and 16 assists in 32 games. 14m could turn into a real bargain.
Surprised Cresswell is looking likely to go but happy to see we are being linked with some top young LBs. Just need Emerson to play like he's playing in a cup final every week.
1.) 20 Jul 2023 14:17:00
Now that is some good news on Borges. He is some player for the future. Moyes must be spitting blood.
2.) 20 Jul 2023 14:45:17
Wow, Borges is an exciting prospect and at £14m a bargain. This has TIM written all over it because this is not a MOYES choice. TIM "The Pearl" has done it again, grabbing young talent that can be sold on for massive profits
3.) 20 Jul 2023 15:01:21
Not sure if anyone has told Moyes yet ? just need Noble nd Steidten to keep Moyes away from talking to him before he's signed.
On a more serious note Exwhuemployee reported our interest in Borges a couple months back so maybe even a rob Newman recommendation.
We are being linked to Adrein Truffert again 21 year old LB, remember us being linked to him same time we signed Aguerd from Rennes. Very promising.
4.) 20 Jul 2023 15:26:49
Man City want a buy back clause in the Borges deal so basically if he turns out to be absolutely brilliant then there’s nothing we can do of Man City want him back, just feels like we’re the ones developing him and giving him game time which City can’t do given the size of their squad ?
{Ed002's Note - It is not as simple as that and not how buy back clauses work.}
5.) 21 Jul 2023 15:59:31
We have always had links with the Borgias in recent years.
14 Jul 2023 12:13:39
Ornstein reporting we've made am enquiry for EDSON ALVAREZ, bid expected to follow.
He actually outperforms Rice in a lot of metrics granted in the Eredivise.
1.) 14 Jul 2023 13:47:36
Real Betis have shown a ‘formal interest’ in West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals, with Manuel Pellegrini keen on signing the player.
2.) 14 Jul 2023 15:40:36
Always liked Pablo, can't help but feel that Moyes coached the flare out of him crazy to think in his first season for villareal he scored 4 goals and laid on 13 assists.
Would be sad to see him go as he genuinely has passion for the club but if we can get 15-20m for him then reinvest in younger players wouldn't be the worst thing to happen.
3.) 14 Jul 2023 19:28:54
Rice coaches the flair out of every player he comes across. No wonder Benrahma and Paqueta have issues with him.
4.) 14 Jul 2023 20:12:24
I think you mean Moyes, not Rice.
If I’m honest, although he’s a really nice bloke, I’ve always thought Fornals was too inconsistent. He’s weak on the ball and seems to lose the ball a helluva lot and his shooting accuracy could do with improvement. I don’t think he’d be a big miss and I’d rather the club had 15 million than Fornals.
5.) 14 Jul 2023 22:04:29
Haha! Yep, meant Moyse. I blame the second malt whisky.
6.) 15 Jul 2023 11:39:22
So as things stand its looking like fornals, rice, lanzini and possibly downes will be gone which leaves soucek and paqueta. Paqueta has just changed agents? And soucek wants a pay rise? Apparently we are closing in on declan rice replacement.Denis zakaria? Not so sure about that
7.) 15 Jul 2023 14:57:02
Moyes SEZ seemples make Any and Bowen midfield wingers then play Vlasic and Scamacca up front lol
8.) 15 Jul 2023 15:06:22
Rofl and it seems meeting planned with agents of scamacca in the next 48 hours with a view to moving yo roma?
9.) 15 Jul 2023 19:55:45
Finalize some Bunga bungas to make sure he goes eh mate
10.) 19 Jul 2023 11:56:14
Would he literally be able to take the heat in Italy now
11.) 26 Jul 2023 21:54:59
And we have a Cretan ( sic ) in charge still.

Rodriguez, soucek and paqueta managed against Ipswich but I think they might struggle against spurs hope I'm wrong.
1.) 19 Oct 2024 13:43:28
Pacqueta is a lightweight who doesn’t compete! At fault for Spurs 2nd and 3rd goals!
2.) 19 Oct 2024 14:08:19
This is another disaster. JLop looks clueless as WHU supporters are voting with their feet.
3.) 19 Oct 2024 14:21:45
Goodbye Loppy! One more game that’s it
4.) 19 Oct 2024 14:37:19
He doesn’t know how to make decisions and substitutions to affect the game in a positive way Tinlegs.
5.) 19 Oct 2024 14:47:59
We are not playing as a team. This manager is sending us into a relegation battle. I predicted bottom 6, and it’s looking like it. Lose to the Mancs and he could be gone. Get Potter in… now.
6.) 19 Oct 2024 23:25:39
Yep, I think enough’s enough. JLop’s time is up. He’s now obviously not the man to take us up to the next level. Not only does he look clueless, there’s something seriously wrong with the players’ attitude. However, I do wonder if Sullivan and the board have the guts to admit they’ve made a mistake and get rid of him.
7.) 21 Oct 2024 06:22:40
I’ve heard it all now. JLop is blaming his players’ misunderstanding his instructions as one of the reasons for their failure! Lost in translation. Really?
8.) 22 Oct 2024 00:03:27
Watch Claret and Booze on YouTube “The Daily Ramble - Loppy Out Now, Save Our Season - I’m Still Raging”. It’s very difficult to disagree with anything Nick says in his rant. The points he makes are very credible, especially about our midfield. Well worth the watch.
05 Oct 2024 17:36:01
Good result and much better team performance today, was nice to see us go and kill the game off rather than sit back and invite pressure like we would have done last season.
Didn't think I'd say this but the decision to take kudus off at half time last week might actually have been a good one I thought he was more a team player this week in the sense that his decision making was better when to pass or go on a run, if we see more of the ball he doesn't have do everything himself like he did at times under the previous manager.
1.) 05 Oct 2024 17:56:00
Lot better performance against an average side. Bowen looked more like himself. My only worry is our defence. Ipswich cut us to pieces a few times… imagine what spurs may do!
2.) 05 Oct 2024 19:58:39
Unbeaten in their last 4 and only lost to city and Liverpool so far. Not the same level on paper as us but they are a good team.
Wouldn't say they cut us to pieces either, they had spells as every team will but we were comfortable, Limiting them to 2 shots on target one of which Areola usually saves.
Our back 4 looks solid imo todibo top class. We've looked leaky when one of the midfielders drops in between the cbs and the full backs get high. Think the flat 4 with the 3 in front suits our players better.
We know what spurs are going to do they are going to commit loads forward and leave themselves open on the counter. We have nothing to fear.
3.) 05 Oct 2024 21:44:45
A good start today. Were unlucky to be pegged back to 1.1 then it was pretty average to poor for most of the rest of the first half but got our second at just the right time . Second half I thought we were really decent. Centre backs look to have good partnership and JCT looks a class act. Okay it was only Ipswich but they are not a dreadful side. We may find it much more difficult in two weeks time, but as Al said no need to fear as we will get chances without doubt.
There is no way Ipswich tore us to pieces but we did create some of our own problems in defence with a few risky balls and some strange runs across our own penalty area.
4.) 07 Oct 2024 12:10:24
Let’s hope this marks the turning of a corner. JLop seems to have dumped the boring, negative and chaotic tactics he’s been delivering. Fingers crossed. COYI!
21 Sep 2024 14:48:11
Wasn't a bad team selection but the set up really played into Chelseas hands with alvarez practically a cb. A flat back 4 with guido and alavrez in front would have been a lot more solid.
Pen might have changed the game but another poor refereeing performance.
1.) 21 Sep 2024 15:29:59
Why blame the Referees performance although imo it was a pen! An utter rubbish performance, Moyes probably laughing his legs off and rightly so, to many excuses! ⚒⚒⚒
2.) 21 Sep 2024 16:26:06
From where we are it will be a feat to finish 10th totally disjointed
3.) 21 Sep 2024 20:45:52
Not blaming the ref, the problem was the set up. Chelsea have a ridiculous amount of talent to choose from also and will do that to a lot of teams this season. The manner of the goals was really poor though.
We've had a really tough start and who gives a rubbish about moyes before today the same fixtures last season seen us concede 8 more goals.
Hopefully things click soon and we go on a good run of games.
4.) 21 Sep 2024 20:58:02
I have to say I knew nothing about this Manager prior to him getting the job and now I’ve seen his first 5 games in charge my opinion is that he’s actually a downgrade on Moyes. First alarm bells rang last week with his team selection. Today the errors in decision making were endless. The players already look demotivated and don’t know what the manager is tactically trying to achieve. Bowen looks unhappy, Pacqueta uniterested, Kudus frustrated. We are 3:0 down and he takes Summerville off and replaces him with Antonio! At least Ings scored last week if you must take one of our bright sparks off. Oh and then with 20 minutes to go he brings Cresswell on! The Manager does not know what he’s doing and this is transcending through the players!
5.) 21 Sep 2024 21:31:53
One of the worse organised teams I have ever seen. AWB and Emerson seemed to be playing as right and left wingers it was so easy for Chelsea just to play through or round us. All this has to be the fault of the managers instructions.
Summerville was great and as Debbie says got taken of for Antonio ?
Totally baffling
6.) 22 Sep 2024 12:12:58
Sorry Debber not Debbie! Bloody autocorrect ?
7.) 22 Sep 2024 13:49:57
Get it right Hammer, think you’ll find it’s Dabber you were replying too not Debbie or Debber??You were probably plying yourself with alcohol after watching that abject performance??⚒⚒⚒⚒
8.) 22 Sep 2024 14:37:41
Been called worse than Debbie over the years and at least you gave us something to laugh at Hammer-D! ??
9.) 23 Sep 2024 10:48:14
I think your right Chelmsford after watching us stumble from one disaster to another I have hit the bottle and permanently catatonic ?
10.) 23 Sep 2024 13:13:10
Dabber,
White or dark meat for Xmas dinner? ?
14 Sep 2024 13:53:21
Soucek starting and we have Paqueta, Summerville and Soler on the bench.
Antonio also played 85 minutes on Wednesday.
I still think we are capable of beating Fulham but if we don't big questions on lopeteguis selection.
1.) 14 Sep 2024 15:39:09
I'm starting to wonder if a there's stipulation in Daniel Kretinsky's investment in the club that forces us to play at least 1 of the Czech players every game!
2.) 14 Sep 2024 16:02:23
Awful 1st Half, no we’re near the level WH need to be at.
Going to be a tough season if we don’t get to grip with the game early on
3.) 14 Sep 2024 16:20:05
I was only kidding about the Kretinsky - Czech player thing, but unless there's an injury to Emerson, to take him off, shuffle AWB to the left and bring on Coufal minutes after Soucek went off is a strange one to say the least!
4.) 14 Sep 2024 16:56:57
At least we played a lot better once the team was out that a lot of us have been asking for.
Ref must be absolutely gutted we got a point out of that.
Worst refereeing performance I've seen In a while.
5.) 14 Sep 2024 16:59:51
1-1 and I’m beginning to feel uneasy about JLop’s starting selections. Why on earth did he start with Soucek and Antonio? Both hopeless and deservedly withdrawn at half-time.
28 Aug 2024 20:40:47
You're not guna get much creativity from a midfield that contains soucek and jwp was hoping we'd never see that again once Moyes left but here we are.
It would have been nice for summerville and fullkrug to get some decent service in their first starts.
1.) 29 Aug 2024 07:31:37
Once again bloody rubbish, B’mouth far better side, deserved to win! Where was Fullkfrug, is he going to turn out another Scamacca / Haller?
Lucky no VAR involved as very suspicious off the forearm for the goal even if unintentional!
Criticism of JWP but he was far from our worse player, thought he was OK! ⚒⚒⚒⚒
2.) 29 Aug 2024 08:33:06
He was 100% our worst player. Offered no link between defence and attack. There were a few times where he went to put pressure on his man in midfield and they breezed past him like he wasn't even there, he played one good pass all game that was a long diagonal ball and almost cost us a goal when he completely misread todibos pass into him in a dangerous area. Hope he's sold.
10 Dec 2024 12:41:29
Personally I don't think they should be pens but in the modern game I wouldn't be at all surprised to see those given, so we were definitely lucky.
05 Dec 2024 18:46:34
We've been lucky in games as well though Nick, thinking of the man u game particularly I'm sure there have been others as well so I'd say we are about where we should be based on performance.
Leicester game was killed once we had a goal wrongly disallowed and they went and scored a second shortly after, don't think lopetegui helped with his substitutions either.
If its true Lopetegui has asked for one more game what happens if he loses will he walk and save sullivan the compensation probably another reason Sulli is happy to give him 1 more game.
And even if he wins does that doesn't repair the relationship with the players.
It's a shambles.
05 Dec 2024 15:35:19
Apparently he's safe for now as the meetings with potential managers didn't go well as non of then would take a short term deal.
Embarrassing really that sullivan thinks that an acceptable way to approach the situation is to get someone in who is that desperate they would take a a short term deal.
People saying Potter won't risk losing his Chelsea pay off for a 6 month deal.
The circus will never stop with this club until Sullivan is gone unfortunately.
05 Dec 2024 11:45:35
Good insight Ed, I suppose with Chelsea a lot of players were brought in also which probably doesn't help.
He could possibly work well with Stiedten.
Ultimately I think with Sullivan it'll come down to the best deal rather than the best manager and its being said that Potter may consider a short term deal to the end of the season which I'd imagine would definitely suit sullivan.
Personally out of the most recent names linked I'd of went for Conceicao but can't see sullivan going for that one with having no prem experience
{Ed001's Note - no one was going to succeed initially with Chelsea, there were just too many players brought in and too many egoes to manage.}
05 Dec 2024 09:49:16
Apparently his points per game at Brighton wasn't that impressive and both de Zerbi and Hurzeler have done better. Also benefited from the Brighton transfer set up.
1 more game agaisnt wolves? Wonder how many of their players will want to put in a big performance against him? Ait nouri for sure.
{Ed001's Note - to be fair, he took over a team that was on the verge of relegation playing horrible, negative, defensive football. He turned them into the team they are and De Zerbi benefitted from that massively. It was noticeable that they were getting worse under him, while they had been improving under Potter. And Potter never had a striker worthy of the name, they would create multiple chances that would go begging. De Zerbi had Ferguson emerge and they bought some forwards as well.}
11 Dec 2024 15:48:53
Moyes wanted Zouma, if you remember it was between Milenkovic and Zouma that window we were going back and fourth between the 2 trying to drive the price down, but moyes pushed for zouma.
Still quite early on todibo only 23 which is relatively young seen some really good bits of play and good bits of defending from him but other times maybe has lost his marked but same could be said with mavro and kilman the latter to a lesser extend. It also doesn't help how high bissaka has been and how open our midfield is. Definitely need some Pace in there was a shame Moyes rejected fofana a couple windows ago.
10 Dec 2024 12:49:15
On a positive Soler looks good very tidy, keeps it simple but can also make the hard passes.
Todibo coming on was a good sign that the falling out my not have as been as bad as its been made out or at least they have settled their differences
16 Nov 2024 19:04:50
@die4, I'm thinking the same the only one I'd consider changing there would be soucek for Soler. Souceks scored some important goals and is good in both boxes but doesn't offer much in possession, think with soler he's much better on the ball and we might be able to get a bit more control in midfield with him in there.
@tinlegs have to agree with our midfield not being up to it, don't think the way loppy sets them up helps either infact probably makes it worse.
We are massively missing pace in there and a progressive ball player, hopefully we can get one in January I'd take that type of player over a striker in jan.
15 Nov 2024 22:33:39
@hammer-d, with regards to Paqueta I thought he had a better game against Everton. It was his passes for summerville and ings that another say are goals and he gets 2 assists.
There were suggestions loppy was considering dropping Paqueta then Kudus gets a ban so that might be why he wasn't dropped.
They do say form is temporary class Is permanent so let's hope he can get back to previous levels at his best he can win games with moments of brilliance.
One thing we haven't seen much of this season is the link up between him and Emerson, now I wouldn't stick him out on lw like moyes did but on the left of a 3 man midfield in a 433 would suit him and the team better we might actually be able to progress the ball forward quickly for a change. Keep summerville on the left and play Kudus as a false 9.
Rcm would be a toss up between soucek or Soler.
Honestly think a 433 suits the players we have but we never see it.
27 Oct 2024 22:24:52
Todibo had a late fitness test according to Exwhuemployee.
He was quality when he came on though.
Have to say first half we were very open and lucky not to be a couple goals behind.
Not a huge fan of the cdm dropping between the cbs with our full backs high seems to leave a massive hole in the middle of the park and alaverez nd rodriguez can't make up the ground. Feel like we may as well go with 3 at the back kilman mavro nd todibo all quick so we could play high and allows both alvares nd rodriguez to be more aggressive in there without having to worry about dropping between the cbs.
Summerville quality and should have been used more than he has been so far, when Kudus is back he needs to be used through the middle.
