Sloppy Loppy has at 2 pm just received contract offer. 3 years on 5m basic, plus a whole variety of bonuses, team building, transfers, budget, too be discussed, , As I mentioned the other day I thought he might get the job, , only things in the way, are footballing concerns not financial, let's see how this pans out, wether it suits all parties

If true, Is he really an upgrade on Moyes, šŸ¤·

Not in my own opinion stevie, the saving grace, might be differing. Transfer ideas, and how quick WH want big squad changes, but at this moment of writing he is UNFORTUNATELY the front runner, I was hoping for better, but you never know,

According to a report from David Sullivan confidants, Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui and Lille manager Paulo Fonseca have agreed deals in principle to become the new West Ham boss (so, if that's the case why are we still looking around at other managers. Why offer them it in the first place if we didn't want them. Its laughable)

A recent report claimed that the Hammers have offered Lopetegui a three-year deal to take over at the London Stadium.

Meanwhile, it has been suggested that 51-year-old Fonseca is firmly on the radar of the West Ham baord as well, and for me, I'd prefer Fonseca

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2024 11:52:46
And contrary to that, Fonseca's representatives are also apparently in TALKS with Liverpool!

Hope it's not lopetegui

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2024 16:20:48
Apparently there are a few at the club advising Sullivan to be cautious about appointing Lopetegui.

Pedro SepĆŗlveda claims that talks with West Ham were 'not positive', and that 'something went wrong' to prompt such a swift return to Portugal. Sporting has a huge game against Porto on Sunday, so it was presumably never likely to be more than a flying visit (although the team has been given Tuesday and Wednesday off), but a move to the London Stadium appears far from a foregone conclusion.

"Something went wrong" (has Sulliva written all over it). The plane that took RĆŗben Amorim to London this afternoon is already returning to Lisbon. The coach who is still negotiating with LFC and met WestHam
Officials for the first time today is back in Lisbon. The meeting was not positive

That bloke has been getting hammered in his comments for talking sh*t over the last few weeks. Said he flew back early but the flight was always scheduled for that departure according to comments.

23 Apr 2024 15:23:09
The meeting centered on a 3 season change at WH, with Steidten and Sullivan, thinking we can change gradually, over 5/6 windows Amorim. Wants immediate change (canā€™t blame him for that ) The volume of players not wanted is large ā€¦. Sounds great, but who is going to want Ings at Ā£125k a week for example, and irregardless of how much money we have to spend, and itā€™s healthy, can we get in the amount of fresh players required in this window, I mentioned yesterday that a visit to us looks like leverage, for what I donā€™t know, I would love to see him at WH, but no club can do this turnaround itā€™s impossible , so unless something changes Amorim can be forgotten

23 Apr 2024 15:37:50
I love how we have an endless list of Candidates apparently and yet, SULLIVAN hasn't made his mind up on MOYES yet LMFAO so why talk to other managers? What an absolute shambles already! Only SULLIVAN

24 Apr 2024 07:01:09
Amorim didn't meet Sullivan. The dwarf was engaged elsewhere. Not even he can be blamed here . If anyone thinks he's the one picking the manager. Think again.

Reports today that Amorin went to sullivans house and Sullivan didn't fancy him šŸ˜‚ if sullivan is making the decision we are bang in trouble leave it to stiedten and noble

24 Apr 2024 14:10:10
Hammer 7580, donā€™t know where you are getting your info from mate, Sullivan greeted Amorim, then Steidten. Did a presentation, , Sullivan went home , met the Portuguese to talk finance , in private at his house, NOT that it matters, from what I understand, Sullivan offered 200k a week plus bonuses, should equal 12 m a year, a large amount on transfers plus all sales, BUT if you note I alluded to the fact we might be being used for leverage, and thatā€™s exactly what it looks like, , regards to you

Yeah Hammer7580, it seems Sullivan did wine and dine Amorim lol

This is exactly the type of manager we should be targeting, of course it could be made up but imagine a combo of him and Tim together, would give us all a massive lift!

22 Apr 2024 21:05:23
Now I've actually sat down and thought about it, the cynic in me wonders how long the club will keep quiet and not deny or confirm this rumour in order to perpetuate some positive hype, only to declare that Moyes has signed a new 4 year contract at the end of the season. Either that or Moyes goes and we get someone equally as uninspiring as a replacement.

I mean, I would just love this rumour to be true and for us to sign Amorim, but let's be honest with ourselves here, he has a Ā£20M release clause at Sporting and there is no way on Gods' Green Earth that Sullivan is going to splash that kind of money on an "unproven in the PL manager" no matter who he is or how good he is.

I really wanted there to be some substance to this story but I'm now 99% certain that it's all pie in the sky.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Apr 2024 22:48:13
Be careful what you wish for though šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ if we end up with Amorin all those pundits better quiet

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Apr 2024 06:29:37
Hmmmm, I see that AMORIM's Agents have said that if he is offered the job, he would accept, however, I also see that APPARENTLY, the board have still not made a decision on DAVID MOYES (this has got SULLIVAN Written all over it) . Anything to get in the news.

If we are in talks with AMORIM, and we sent a private p[lane for him, I would suggest we wine and dine him and impress out of him because he is just the sort of manager we need.

That's a Sullivan appointment. Luckily from what's been said and I suspect it's correct. Tuchel Silva Alexander blessin and Antonio Oliveira are way more likely.

Well so far, according to reports, we have spoken to Sarri, Lopetegui, today Ruben Amorim and we are also interested in Marco Silva and Graham Potter, so the usual scattergun approach with nobody firm in mind! I might have to SPELL this for Brooking10!

Just heard couple of things, first it may not be goodbye to Antonio, in June as WH may use 1 year option, to keep him as extra striker, and try to move Ings on, ( not likely on his wages ) Antonio may be happy to stay on, it's under debate, with the player . also Man City only want to pay Ā£50m for paqueta plus a player, WH have responded, in talks Ā£85 m is the buyout price, but they could be interested in a player or two, one of the players of interest is GK Ortega, don't 'know the others, Man United, have now made clear their interest in Paqueta, but have yet to make any move , early days, but wheels are turning .going to be very interesting. Window coming up with new restrictions coming into force, WH looking for 2/3 free transfers, MY QUESTION why let JOHNSON go Unless he just wants out, we shall see how this turns out

Joyful Hammer, šŸ‘Great news for me re Antonio, well documented on here that I am a big big Antonio fan, really hope he staysšŸ¤žNot worried about the Paqueta saga, heā€™s going anyway, unfortunately Kudus will go which will be a great shame and if we can hang on to BowenšŸ¤žšŸ¤žHope his Father in law can influence him to stayšŸ¤žšŸ¤žāš’āš’āš’āš’āš’

Who are the new investors?

I know the Gold family were putting shares up for sale, but didnā€™t think there had been any interest?

19 Apr 2024 20:18:59
Again, how on earth can we make decisions on who is coming and going before we have a new manager? What if the new manager does or does not want players?

Agree4 Disagree0

15 Apr 2024 14:44:02
Apparently? Yes, here we go again, its silly season and as always we underbid for a player. Seemingly we've bid Ā£13m for Mohamed Amoura from UNION SG but they want Ā£17m. Wolves and a few other clubs are also interested in the ALGERIAN who has real pace, works the channels but is a much better finisher than ANTONIO (so is my 14 year old)!

Up to twelve players could be departing the club, potentially requiring significant squad turnover. Adding to the pressure, some key players like Soucek and Coufal might also need replacements.

Steidtenā€™s recent trip to Brazil suggests a search for young talents with potential, a shift away from expensive established players. This strategy could unearth hidden gems like Paqueta or Kudus at bargain prices.

Steidtenā€™s challenge is clear: rebuild a potentially depleted West Ham squad with limited financial resources. His ability to identify and acquire young talent will be crucial for the clubā€™s future success.

Seemingly, Man UTD face competitiion froM WEST HAM in the summer chasing the signature of Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana. I'm fairly sure we were very interested in him in the past and Moyes said NO!. what's the betting Man Utd get him and then they let ERIKSON, Casemeiro and or Mctominay go and we buy the players surplus to requirements.

06 Apr 2024 17:26:10
We should get McTominay in if the opportunity re-arises this summer window. A much improved player whom had added attacking and goals to his game ( so Moyes unlikely to be interested now ) .

Agree11 Disagree0

06 Apr 2024 21:15:07
I'm undecided about him tbh, but I think what really puts me off is the price tag Utd would no doubt stick on him. If reports of a release clause are to be believed, we're going to lose Paq for only Ā£50M and I can honestly see Utd, because they're Utd, asking much more than that for McTominay. Sorry, but that ain't a fair deal at all!

I really, really hope we're not in the situation this summer where we sell Paq for Ā£50M then go out and then spend it all on Scottish DM, who in the real world is worth less than half of that.

Iā€™ve called him McThuginay for years. Basically Fellaini 2.0

ā€¦which makes him right up Moyseā€™s street.

03 Apr 2024 18:11:01
Eds, is it likely to be true that any new contract offered to Moyse will remove his veto from buying players? If so, I canā€™t imagine him signing it. He couldnā€™t cope without the power and would hate that Steidten has more influence.

{Ed002's Note - For me, it is understood that his struggles with David Moyes are very much based on how Moyes utilises the players he has rather than over specific transfers. I would expect West Ham to move Moyes on before letting Steidten depart.}

Fair result, we had the chance to win it, Antonio gave his all , but he's never been a clinical finisher, thing to note spurs made 5 subs, we never made one, that is the difference between the clubs, we have NO bench,

Believable18 Unbelievable0

03 Apr 2024 10:34:21
We really don't have a bench. We've basically spent Ā£450m on a squad of 14 players that includes 2 goalkeepers.

Agree13 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 13:11:29
This is ALL down to Moyes, he turned away three players in January, and signed Phillips, all of these players that could easily make our team, on top of that he vetoed Gudmonsen early in January whereas Genoa had been ready to accept 24 m euros, a proven goal scorer, this man, Ings cornet cresswell etc are a drop in quality, In reality only Johnson can be brought on, and heā€™s leaving soon anyway, we have a 14 player first team squad at present, thatā€™s. It and One of the main reasons, WH must part with Moyes, there is a light at end of tunnel though if he chooses to sign the new contract offered, he will not be able to veto any players, as he has been able to at present, until seasons end no injuries or suspensions we are ok, if not we are in trouble, thatā€™s it rant over

Agree13 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 14:02:18
He won't VETO them, he simply won;t play them or when he does he will play them out of position and then treat them like he did Benrahma. Its ok, we know what sort of a man he is and what little respect he has for the decisions of others! Sooner he goes the better

Agree13 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 15:00:20
It's says it all about Sullivan. When he allows Moyes . To decimate the squad . Purely because he's fell out with them . Benrhama fornals vlasic kral and strongly suspect agured has joined them . There's strong rumours he and ings don't speak either it's like mourinho at spurs . Only difference being levy has a backbone .

Agree12 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 16:11:55
That was apparently our 42nd game already this season . They can play a maximum 41 in all . They have a squad we don't . Cheers dwarf.

Agree11 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 16:50:27
In this particular case itā€™s Sullivan. That was furious with Moyes, in January, as he had already given the nod on all four players, mentioned, then Moyes gave them all the no no, he only wanted the disastrous Phillips thatā€™s why new contract would be entirely different, Moyes is SOLELY to blame for no bench, Sullivan and Steidten totally blameless, Steidten wanted to know what he had been employed for? He was wasting his time and efforts, for Moyes to Turn his back on decent players, it was a crazy situation, itā€™s not going to happen again, Moyes might try to renegotiate the contract, so heā€™s in charge of transfer business again. But itā€™s not going to happen, otherwise itā€™s goodbye to Steidten and his. Clique they will be off
