Seen a picture of the Nice midfielder Sofiane Diop with a West Ham shirt, don't know if it means anything, has anyone got any info on this? ?

Stevie66

1.) 03 May 2025 20:57:23
Stand by for a lot of unknowns? Wether any of them, are bought, and can play first team football, straightaway is another matter, no more Guilhermes required, thanks, WH need premiership quality players, immediately

2.) 05 May 2025 01:05:53
Potter is out of his depth and cannot be the man to take us into next season full stop.COYI

3.) 05 May 2025 09:39:19
I have no problem with giving a manager time to build a team but I do want to see progress even if it's not fast and we've seen regress under Potter not progress

4.) 05 May 2025 11:55:06
Stevie if he gets the players he wants he will still employ the same system. We do actually have a few good players but they seem to play in shackles

02 May 2025 14:26:32
Getting away from transfers, I've just read on another West Ham group I follow saying that West Ham have turned down Castore to supply the new kit for the 2026/27 season and have opted for New Balance instead with them supplying the kits for five seasons, don't know how true it is. ?

Stevie66

1.) 02 May 2025 14:55:38
I’ve never heard of Castore

2.) 05 May 2025 01:07:24
Hammer D where have you been they are massively involved in F-1, golf, tennis

29 Jan 2025 12:15:32
Looks like Shakhtar have offered £12m for Guilherme, that's just less than half what we paid and he hasn't played, what a waste of money, don't know why he's not getting a game ?

Stevie66

1.) 29 Jan 2025 12:53:33
He barely trod the turf under Lopetegui and now it seems GP doesn't rate him either. There’s obviously something missing, so Steidten should be quizzed as to what he saw in Guilherme to fork out £25million.

2.) 29 Jan 2025 18:09:59
Steidten has left the building!

3.) 30 Jan 2025 08:23:04
Yes, but he still can talk wherever he is!

24 Jan 2025 16:44:46
Spurs also looking at Brobby apparently

Stevie66

1.) 24 Jan 2025 17:41:10
Now there's a surprise. If we were a little slicker we would have these players signed leaving no room for other teams to show interest

2.) 24 Jan 2025 17:45:36
When Spurs start following WH you know their on the ropes, they have a couple of people who can score a goal, but otherwise their no better than us in reality, they have spent fortunes compared to WH, they are looking for short term answers as we are, I don’t think. They want Brobbey purchase, they want a dry loan, and bigger better purchases in the summer, they see themselves. as far superior, to us, the truth is despite all their big spends they are not, Reality is biting Spurs, they need to get rid of Daniel Levy, they will never be a top club whilst he is in charge

3.) 24 Jan 2025 18:38:11
Yep just like us the best thing to happen would be for the chairman to leave

4.) 25 Jan 2025 06:30:53
Can we negotiate an immediate loan with obligation to buy Sullivan with anybody?

5.) 25 Jan 2025 08:25:55
He completely failed at Leipzig and is now worthless with 1 goal in 17 games.
Whole Amsterdam is begging any team to take him out of their hands.

Antony the 2nd he will become

6.) 25 Jan 2025 10:31:45
We love a loser, always have, that’s why Ajax is so similar to WH, both clubs promise much but deliver very little, Anthony will do well at a lower level in Spain, , so will Brobbey at our level ( if he signs ) although Potter likes different style, he knows we need a striker like Antonio, doesn’t score many goals, but can create chaos giving chances to others and can hold the ball up, that’s what’s needed, I was in Amsterdam 3 weeks ago

7.) 25 Jan 2025 13:32:42
20 goals and 8 assists in 35 starts last season though and he wasn't bad the season before that so not sure how he's suddenly become a terrible player this season?

8.) 25 Jan 2025 15:38:10
And of course whilst we dither Everton have now expressed an interest. Onana all over again

9.) 25 Jan 2025 16:36:41
West ham have plenty room to sign players. it's whether the ownership wants to . I suspect they won't and the reason why will become obvious soon enough.

10.) 25 Jan 2025 20:49:11
Frank De Boer says he’s not much good and spends “most of his time laying on the floor.” He’s amazed that a PL team is even thinking of taking him on, let alone paying that much money.

He says that his goals last season simply shows how weak the Eredivisie is. He doesn’t think he is anywhere near PL quality.

24 Jan 2025 08:31:05
Been reading that we are prioritising a move for Brobbey over Silva ?

Stevie66

1.) 25 Jan 2025 12:27:35
Silva is 30 this year and has a horrendous injury history, in fact he's currently injured right now with no return date. Even if there was no Brobbey link, I'd be praying that we'd give Silva a huge swerve.

Not a good day today, but one thing I've noticed on here is that as soon we lost everyone is on here slagging the manager off BUT last week when we won away to Utd no one posted anything until I put up a comment about it. We've got one more game to go so let's get behind everyone at the club and then let's see what happens in the summer, luv you guys to bits, Support the team ⚒️

Stevie66

1.) 18 May 2025 22:47:14
Stevie I don’t know what you are seeing because I had a look and there was only a few negative comments, even from people who are usually critical. but i wonder if it is more due to some of us feeling completely brow beaten and apathetic. A win rate of 22% is not something we should be cheering about it’s a disgrace, not to mention the boredom on steroids football we are playing. We always get behind the team. But you can feel how demoralised people are in the ground

16 May 2025 22:16:36
Well, all we've got to do is win one more game to guarantee finishing above spurs and Utd.

Stevie66

1.) 17 May 2025 07:02:29
What a strange season. Their match in Europe next week, or whenever it is, talk about winner takes all.

12 May 2025 10:48:19
Guys apologies for ranting on yesterday but I was just so pleased for the team and manager yesterday, basically what I'm trying to get across is it's so much harder to build a very very good team at somewhere like West Ham because if we have a gem of a player on our hands (like Kudus) then the so called bigger clubs will come in for him, so we basically have to start again, for example if we had Mo Salah do you think he would've stayed with us the length of time he's been at Liverpool, not a chance, so this is why I'm willing to give Potter a chance to try and build something, we can't keep changing managers every 6 months as every manager has their own style, we need to settle down and allow a manager to build.

Stevie66

1.) 12 May 2025 15:06:03
Totally agree. We need to forget the Loppy and Moyse era's that people keep going on about. It's time to focus on the present and future. One thing about Potter is we appear more balanced and are not shipping as many goals. Since his arrival I think its 18 for 18 against. Potter just needs to become a little more adventurous.

2.) 13 May 2025 09:18:52
No apologies needed buddy. For me when Potter came in we were shipping goals left right and centre. A big issue was made last season how, apart from the bottom 3, we had the worst defensive record. That didn't improve under LOP.

POTTER came in and saw our defence was rubbish (and let's face it, Coufal, Mavropanos and Kilman don't fill me with confidence) and he saw something had to be done

At least now we've stopped shipping goals by the bucket load. Now he needs a good summer to get rid of deadwood and get some youth and energy into this squad and then push on

3.) 14 May 2025 16:14:04
No probs Stevie we are all passionate about our club and we all have our own opinions that we like to share we don't always have to agree on everything!

11 May 2025 21:48:02
You're very quiet chaps, if we had lost that game you would've all been on here slagging the manager off, you can't even be bothered to praise him when he deserves it, pathetic!

Stevie66

1.) 11 May 2025 22:26:06
You’re right mate, credit where credit is due. Still think he should have started with the German up top. I really don’t like soler, he’s so bad, and ward prowse for me is not a prem player anymore. Wan bisaka was brilliant. And to top it the spuds lost so we leap frogged them both. I hope we get results the next two games. If we finish above Utd and the spuds I will be happy. I could be happier but I would be happy. But yeah Stevie, I’m chuffed for potter for today, if we get four points next two games. Let the man have a propa go. Good win peeps, very good win.
COYI ⚒️⚒️⚒️

2.) 11 May 2025 22:58:07
I’ve just given him credit on a post further down. And I am a man of my word and I will stand by what I say. After today’s great result we must fancy ourselves to win the last 2 . If that happens I will hold my hands up and say I may have been wrong he is NOT a worse manager than Loppy. He is as good a manager, as Loppy, as they both will have won 6 in a similar amount of games.
I’m sure you will be saying similar things as you must be so proud of that. That’s if he wins the last 2 games. Which, I’m sure we all want to happen.
But it’s a bit rich Stevie as many potter fans went missing (you may not have) because they knew they had no argument, after 0 win in 8 games they’ve now all come back out the woodwork. I’m sure Potter will soon be mentioned along with Pep, Klopp and Ancelotti

3.) 11 May 2025 23:26:39
I said we played better but crowing after one good performance in 5 months is just sad to be honest, he's been terrible fact he's got a worse record than Loppy fact, we played better against Newcastle under Loppy, the facts are fairly 9bvious one decent performance against the worst man u side with eyes on a European final.doesnt paper over the cracks unfortunately

4.) 12 May 2025 00:12:03
Hammer-D I said I was taking a break from commenting on the site for a few weeks as we were going around in circles. I also said I’d keep reading for Joyfulls transfer updates. I don’t appreciate being accused of coming out of the woodwork. I’ve been a contributer to this site for over 10 years now but have to take a break now again because of the constant whinging negative b***ox the same people keep spouting month after month …it gets boring!

5.) 12 May 2025 03:03:28
Exactly dabber. What did you want from us stevie? A grovelling apology? It's great that we win. But does that gloss over the awful performances lately?

Well done west ham. Am I wrong about potter? Who knows. Time will tell. But I have my doubts would loved to be proved wrong.

Does ghat make you happier stevie?,

6.) 12 May 2025 07:04:46
I thought you said you were taking a break from posting for the rest of this season.
Anyway, at last a decent performance from the team which confirms they are not a load of rubbish as some were saying. But it’s one performance. Well played lads.

7.) 12 May 2025 07:54:45
Dabber I was very happy with the great result as I said in other posts Potter deserved credit when he has taken so much criticism from people like me. I will be more than happy to repeat this again if it keeps happening.
But the over-reaction was a bit overwhelming. We were accused of hating Potter, I can only speak for myself and that just isn’t true.
My posts are a mixture of fact and sarcasm and as I have said on numerous occasions if potter turns it around I will quite happily say I may have been wrong and see our club start competing again and see a more competitive form of football, but importantly to me is it needs to be entertaining. If that happens I will be over the moon.
When you and some others said you were taking a break the implication was you would be back after seasons end or in the summer. Then we get one good performance and result about 2 weeks later and everyone is back and expecting anti potter people to go to confession and seek absolution .
You listed in another post 4 statements what some people may say about the performance yesterday and whilst it would be churlish to do that, you know full well they were all valid points.
I’m very happy with the game yesterday but my previous sarcastic post stands it highlights how poor Potter has been but let’s hope this is followed up because it needs to be.

8.) 12 May 2025 09:23:32
The response yesterday was to ensure the forum remains balanced. If we hadn’t defended Potter, you Tinlegs (POTTER OUT) would have done exactly what you have done, praise the players but not the manager and thrown a lot of cold water on what was a well disciplined and executed performance from the players AND the coach. Many of you slated his team selection before a ball was even kicked, somebody even called him the worst coach ever. I’m delighted we performed like that for the players, the supporters and for Potter. I did say that I was taking a break for the rest of the season but if I choose to change my mind in defence of fairness that’s my prerogative.

Hammer-D, I’ve always thought your comments border on fairness and reasonability and the one above is no different so apologies for snapping at the woodwork comment buddy

9.) 12 May 2025 10:07:37
No problem Dabber. You are right, we do need a balance so don’t disappear. many of us have come and gone and returned again over the years. It is a banter site at the end of the day. Yesterday’s performance was a step in the right direction so let’s just hope it continues and it is backed up with some consistency

10.) 12 May 2025 10:17:55
Can you honestly say, hand on heart, that you were happy with that team selection? And team selections usually are announced before a ball is kicked. One match against a vastly inferior team does not mean we are out of the woods with the coach, and can you explain what advantages were gained by his substitutions? POTTER OUT! No change there then. ?

11.) 12 May 2025 10:32:12
By the way, Dabber, not changing my mind in defence of the truth is also my prerogative, wouldn’t you agree?

12.) 12 May 2025 12:22:04
Tinlegs, “not changing my mind in the defence of the truth”, who says it true, you, it’s your opinion but you are so adamant that you are right all the time. According to you when we win it’s because the players were good or the opposition poor. When we lose it’s because Potter or Loppy or Moyes doesn’t know as much about football as you do. It’s a classic game of heads I win tail you lose that you play Tinlegs and it’s been persistent moaning for at least 3-4 years. You nicknamed Moyes the Argyle Gargoyle when he coached us to the first bit of silverware in over 30 years and said the same thing about him as you’re saying about Potter. The thing is though it’s not always what you say it’s the way you say it. You’re obviously an educated guy by the way you write but that comes across in your arguments which appear to be written with an air of superiority, as if everyone you respond to is like something you’ve trodden in. The way you’ve responded to Brooking over the last few months has sometimes been downright rude and I’m surprised he continues to contribute. This is not the first time this has happened. Treat those that disagree with you with the same respect that you treat those that agree. It’s supposed to be a friendly banter page …….

13.) 12 May 2025 15:46:51
By the way I wouldn’t say Manchester Utd are vastly inferior in my opinion

14.) 12 May 2025 15:39:27
I can only say the truth as I see it, just like you, Dabber. And what about all the rudeness and personal insults against me I’ve put up with over the past few years? No mention of that, but there again it’s probably because you think you are right. Now where have I heard that before? I’ve moaned about Moyes, Lopetegui and Potter because they’ve been sh*t. When we get a good manager I’ll stop moaning.

15.) 12 May 2025 16:54:45
Can’t remember ever being rude or personally insulting you Tinlegs. Can you give me an example?

16.) 12 May 2025 18:19:58
I wonder if the fact that Paqueta wasn't playing yesterday bad a positive effect let's face if he's been under immense unfair pressure for the last 2 years

17.) 12 May 2025 19:43:08
“Can’t remember ever being rude or personally insulting you Tinlegs. Can you give me an example? “
Come on, don’t twist what I said. I never said you personally were rude and insulting Dabber, but others certainly have been.

18.) 12 May 2025 21:39:24
Sorry Tinlegs but genuinely thought you were insinuating I’d been rude to you, wasn’t twisting your words but read your comment back, it does read like there was an accusation. I don’t think it’s right for anybody to be rude or personal on this site, we’re all adults and more importantly West Ham fans. Debates will by very nature get heated but we can all try and diffuse this by thinking about what we’re writing and waiting to calm down before we write. Life would be boring if we agreed all the time but at least we should respect each others opinions.

19.) 12 May 2025 21:44:12
Merceri, I definitely think Pacqueta not playing had a positive effect. Look at a lot of the games we’ve played well in (Liverpool away aside) and they’ve been games he’s been absent (Arsenal away prime example) I know he has issues but I just feel Kudus and Bowen play better together when he’s not there and that he is lazy when it comes to tracking back after losing possession .

11 May 2025 20:12:21
There are people on here that absolutely hate potter, I am one that's willing to give him a chance with his own team, and if he doesn't succeed in the first 10 games or so then maybe think about a change, but for those of you that want him gone now you're pathetic, give the guy a f**king chance, we all want our team to win every game as potter does but his hands are tied until the summer, get a grip support your team or go and support someone else!

Stevie66

1.) 11 May 2025 20:45:01
Well said. Let's see how we perform when he has his own players and a decent pre season

2.) 12 May 2025 18:09:56
One swallow does not a summer make. Let’s see how we get on against a team that have everything to play for CL, and a team with nothing to lose. If we get minimum 4 points from those I will believe we have turned a corner ??

3.) 13 May 2025 08:49:11
That sounds very sensible Gerry.
Stevie, I think you are wrong. I’m one who is outspoken against Potter, but I don’t hate the bloke. I think he’s very nice, but he’s out of his depth and he’s doing us no favours by not accepting the fact. He probably believes all the nonsense about his record at Brighton, exacerbated by Chelsea hiring him before quickly realising their mistake.

Is it just the Gold families shares they are looking to buy which is 25.1%, if so then Sullivan will still be the majority shareholder.

Hammer-D, if he did start to sulk then that’s not giving a good impression to a buying club as that looks like he’s only happy when he’s getting his own way and he will pull a sickie if he don’t, these players are under contract so if they don’t want to play then they don’t get paid, simple as that.

Basically what you’re saying is that unless we’ve got a manager that has had success at other clubs then you’re not willing to give him time. ? there is a manager that suits certain clubs, eg Nuno didn’t really suit Spurs but he’s doing ok at Forest because he’s had time, the same could happen with Potter, he didn’t suit Chelsea but he might suit us but time will tell and that’s something you’re not willing to give him.
