Surely Antonio deserves to be put in an England squad, the bloke can play virtually anywhere on the pitch.

1.) 11 Jul 2020 16:05:44
Terrific result v Norwich:
3 points and good work on our goal difference.

2.) 11 Jul 2020 18:07:48
Stevie, I dislike any of our players going on international duty, how many players from all clubs come back with injuries of all sorts? It seems to happen at the times you may really need them! I would be quite selfish and hope Ant doesn’t get called up, they can get enough injuries through the rigours of the Premiership, they don’t need to be playing more games imo! Lanzini on international duty, not the same player since, Dean Ashton career finishing tackle in a bloody England practice game, what a career he had in front of him! How many more can we name that will get burnt out eventually then pick up injuries quicker! Southgate stay clear please🤞🤞 Great win today against Norwich, pity Watford got 3 points👎👎⚒⚒⚒.

3.) 11 Jul 2020 19:35:28
Doesn't matter chelms mate with Watford winning because of the positions A/ V and AFC are in meaning that A/ V need to get 8 points from their remaining games and AFC need 7 points and that's with us getting no points from our last 3 games so if I were a betting man which I am I'd put a large wager on us staying up if the bookies offered decent odds like my old gramps use to say you never see a bookmaker on a push bike never a truer statement said and WEST HAM are 1/ 10 to stay up I'll keep my cockle in my sky as I don't need a pound that desperate. COYI.

29 Jun 2020 21:38:17
More takeover speculation with a consortium led by Damien Comolli?

{Ed002's Note - At the earliest 2021 and realistically 2023 on or the owners need to pay back HMG over the stadium. But you are right, there are two groups looking at English PL sides Stevie.}

25 Jun 2020 05:55:52
Morning chaps, I'm led to believe that West Ham wanted to appoint Dyche as manager before reappointing Moyes, but certain things maybe got in the way, but now I'm reading that Dyche is ready to walk out on Burnley, so if he does what do the club do if there number one target becomes available, do they stick or twist, what would you do guys?

1.) 25 Jun 2020 14:51:33
Stevie, Dyche would have been my choice before DM to be honest! Love his quote “minimum requirement is maximum effort”👍👍No fancy Dans in his side, all good hard working team players! How often do you keep swapping though? Would feel DM is hard done by if he wasn’t given more time, but we don’t make those decisions👍⚒⚒⚒.

2.) 25 Jun 2020 17:01:00
Stevie/ Chelmsford I se to remember that Dyches contract is up either now or next year. There was serious talk about him taking over as Mr Brady works for Dyches management company.

Sean seems to get the best out of good British players who are more shall we say energetic.

3.) 25 Jun 2020 18:00:06
Merceri, yes much more energetic with an appetite for a battle, would love to see what he could do for us? Don’t think he could make Wilshere more energetic, he talks a good game about “being fit and raring to go” but he would wouldn’t he🤣😂⚒⚒.

22 Jun 2020 12:15:47
Afternoon chaps, are we sticking with Moyes if we go down, here's one idea I've had, if Bournemouth go down as well then I think Eddie Howe will go as he can't take that club any further, would it be worth West Ham grabbing him, we're a bigger club ( no disrespect to Bournemouth), he would probably get the young players involved and he would possibly have a fairly decent transfer budget, I know it's all ifs buts and maybes but I just thought I would put it out there?

1.) 22 Jun 2020 18:10:46
Stevie66, Don’t think things are that simple, he lives in a lovely part of the country, he would have a 5 hour round trip to our training ground unless he moved nearer, he has no pressure as such where he is as it isn’t expected for B’mouth to do anything special, as at our club it’s almost as if some success in whatever form is demanded! He would be able to walk into many jobs in Football if they came available, also his family will surely have some say? So I don’t see it happening,
unless everything fits, every Manager surely doesn’t have lofty ambitions, some will consider earning a lot less but with less pressure a better way of life? Even the lesser paid managers are multi millionaires so hardly have to worry financially!

2.) 22 Jun 2020 19:44:55
I know what your saying, but Redknapp done it, but I do believe he had a flat in London, I don’t think Bournemouth will sack him I think he will leave to try something new.

3.) 23 Jun 2020 08:27:01
Stevie, yes I know Redknapp did, lots of Managers uproot as do players to progress if the occasion arises and they are ambitious, but Eddie Howe to me could have perhaps moved on some time ago I think, but chose to remain at B’mouth, I get the impression he may not have the inclination or ambition to move on or is just loyal to his present club, the supporters obviously love him for how he has improved the stature of the club?

But if Moyes keeps us up, I think it would be very poor of the board to say “now off you go” no matter who was available, there are no guarantees a new manager would do any better. DM needs a fair crack of the whip to shape his own team, we’ve been in lockdown longer than he’s been back! ⚒⚒.

4.) 23 Jun 2020 19:50:58
Eddie Howe - no thank you. When he’s spent big at Bournemouth he’s not brought well. Stay with Moyes. If G& S did give him the shove, which I feel would be unjustified, then Pochetino (not sure how you spell his name) is available!

5.) 23 Jun 2020 22:54:23
Poch wouldn’t manage in the championship.

6.) 23 Jun 2020 22:56:33
Chelmsford I’m talking about if we go down, if we manage to stay up then Moyes deserves to stay.

7.) 24 Jun 2020 00:02:33
Shortlist of candidates for me and I know I'll get a lot of negatives
Scott parker
Di canio
I would love shaun dyche but won't happen, we are going down as much as it upsets me but we need new fresh blood, watching us is embarrassing, no real westham players other than rice.

8.) 24 Jun 2020 00:05:08
If we stay up Moyes deserves chance but I worry were is I identity. I just don't see anything.

21 Jun 2020 08:07:04
Let's look on the bright side, if we go down then surely we will be playing for the title in the championship but if we stay up we're playing for 17th by the look of it,

1.) 22 Jun 2020 16:54:59
Come on lad we are not down yet, yes we were P. Poor but if we take Noble out [he did have a bad game] and put our regular back four in place, move Dec back in the middle. Replace Anderson with Haller would surly strengthen our team.
Noble still has a lot to offer WH but i do think its time for him to step back and ask himself is he now a prem player.

11 Jul 2020 06:51:34
Morning guys, what do you think the team will be today against Norwich, there are whispers that Haller could start, if he does will it be Yarmolenko, Antonio and Bowen playing behind him with Antonio being the central one?

09 Jul 2020 17:33:07
Hi chaps, I think I might've asked this before, but what would you do at the end of the season if we manage to stay up, would you stick with Moyes or would you go for Dyche as it looks like he could become available, is it a to good of an opportunity we just can't pass by?

1.) 09 Jul 2020 21:47:15
If we win saturday that would almost certainly keep us up because of our G/ D so this is very important a draw wouldn't be a bad result but you have to be beating a team that although ain't playing that bad at this precise moment have looked relegation material all season.

2.) 09 Jul 2020 21:55:35
I also think VILLA will beat PALACE the weekend as they are already on their holidays so if we can beat the CANARIES on saturday it should be enough as I can't see them beating EVERTON away but the ARSENAL game at home for VILLA is very winnable as ARSENAL are no longer a feared outfit until things drastically improve at the Emirates so I will be cheering on Palace and arsenal in the coming weeks. 🤞🤞🤞.

3.) 11 Jul 2020 08:13:17
Stevie, Dyche has no pressure at all with Burnley for what he has achieved, if he has a good relationship with his team, it’s not a given that he will want to come to us anyway! There will be little chance anyway if we are relegated! He will be well clued up with us via Brady’s husband who apparently has working connections with Dyche. Although I think Dyche would have been really good for us, why didn’t we go all out previously for him, probably compensation as usual? Of course business comes first, but when there are no guarantees of success even with Dyche, to shaft DM again especially if he keeps us up would be unthinkably awful imo? ⚒⚒.

09 Jul 2020 05:06:49
Four games left and 3 of them are against teams below us, it's in our own hands if we can't beat teams below us then we don't deserve to stay up!

1.) 09 Jul 2020 22:12:26
I’d much rather we had Dyche. totally, although I feel it would be incredibly disloyal to Moyes if we shafted him again.

08 Jul 2020 20:08:31
I'm sorry guys but that was crap ( against Burnley) they should've played with a bit more pace, I really do think that's a very poor performance given our position.

1.) 08 Jul 2020 20:27:58
Didn’t see the game, but listened to live coverage on Radio 5 live! I fancied us going for Dyche before we gave Moyes a second chance, still say it’s not his team to be fair, MP has ruined the club with misfits because he was picking up his Yen in China, another living on his past reputation👎Like all of us sick of excuses! 👎👎👎⚒⚒⚒.

2.) 08 Jul 2020 20:36:45
I thought we played OK. Soucek and rice look OK in midfield and we created enough chances to win most games shame we just cannot defend our wide. Our full backs worry me every time a team attacks us out wide and they cost us time and time again.

3.) 08 Jul 2020 21:11:50
I watched the game and we actually played ok - Soucek should have scored the point blank volley, Antonio should have put one away as well. Same as Haller, almost scored within 10 seconds of coming on.

We created the chances but didn’t finish them. Cresswell has been below average for a long time now. He was absolutely nowhere for the goal, and it’s not like Rodriguez is prolific in the air.

Unlucky essentially, after all Burnley are the 1-0 Kings, with join highest clean sheets in the league, it’s effective, but if dyche played football like that as West Ham manager he’d be strung up for “not playing the West Ham way”.

A big win at Norwich is needed!

4.) 08 Jul 2020 22:22:29
CRESSWELL has to go along with OGBONNA DIOP has to improve a lot otherwise given another season and no improvement then release him if we had a tarwoski in our team along with a similar player then IMO we wouldn't have lost I'm starting to have my doubts about FABIANSKI as he's ok with low shots but anything high in the top corners he struggles. COYI.

5.) 08 Jul 2020 22:24:03
Pope being man of the match shows it all really another day and we are 2 ot 3 up at half time.

Full backs are terrible said before we've neglected proper investment there for years in fact I can't remember the last time we actually spent good money and brought in someone decent. Frederick's free, zabaleta free, Masuaku 6m, cresswell 3m.

Second half we ran out of steam the team looked knackered unsurprising considering the pile up of fixtures and lack of rotation.

In typical west ham fashion we have a great opportunity to move away from the bottom 3 but instead we give the teams below us a lifeline.

Oh and tarkowski should have had a red so thanks again VAR and the linesman who had a clear view 3 yards infront of his face!

07 Jul 2020 20:02:15
Well, Norwich need to beat us at the weekend to have any chance of staying up, so they will be going for it, it that a good thing or bad thing, as we tend to crumble when teams attack us as our defense is suspect, but then again it could leave them open for a counter attack, need that win tomorrow chaps.

1.) 08 Jul 2020 18:41:03
The quicker we get shot of CRESSWELL he can't not defend one jot he's useless,

2.) 08 Jul 2020 18:43:38
ANTONIO needs to stay central otherwise we are bare in the danger areas.

3.) 08 Jul 2020 20:06:08
100% in a agreement with you Whorya, cresswell is shocking and cost the goal, I would add fornals he’s really pissing me off he will not put a tackle in and is always ball watching, I count the accurate passes on one hand. Point would have been good in the end but missed chances cost us too although Pope is a class keeper, but at the same time why put huh balls in like that he will take them all game. Gutted, Moyes needs to stop waiting to his magical 60 mins to make a sub.

4.) 08 Jul 2020 20:37:31
Exactly spot on whitby, let's play balls high in the box so they can just defend with ease you have to play through them we bought FORNALS as a playmaker the only thing in his defence and only a slight one is he isn't a winger we are constantly playing players out of position and ut infuriates me.

5.) 08 Jul 2020 20:39:12
teams know to attack us out wide where we are vulnerable and our full backs are useless.

6.) 08 Jul 2020 22:25:09
Dont agree with you on FREDERICKS has he's decent but CRESSWELL is shockingly bad and has to go. COYI.

7.) 08 Jul 2020 22:35:51
As soon as the big chance fell to Haller I knew he'd miss. The end.

Hi chaps, it also becomes a different competition, no home support to get behind the team, there’s going to be 5 subs allowed, when you look at our last fixture against Aston Villa that could be massive, we had to play Villa at their ground full of supporters, and people will say well we come away with a draw but we might’ve won had they not had the home support, and now we’ve got to play Villa at home with no home support, so it will feel like a home game to them as well, or even worse we could be playing at neutral grounds, that’s just one example and I know it’s the same for all teams but the teams at the bottom do rely on the home support to give them a lift to try and get them out of a bad situation, I’ve always said a competition should finish how it started, and if that’s not possible then it shouldn’t be allowed to continue until safe to do so, but that’s just my opinion.

We’ve got to keep going, score as many as we can as we’ve still got to play Man Utd away and the way they are playing our goal difference could take a hit!

Last nights game was a great opportunity missed, it just puts more pressure us to win the next game and that’s when we normally make mistakes and come unstuck.

This might be a gamble but what about Xanda Silva coming in for Lanzini, teams won’t know too much about him, if not, maybe Wilshire?

Hi Markro, I just hope when we play, Watford, Norwich and Villa that they don’t do to us what we’ve just done against Chelsea, we’ve got to attack those teams and get ourselves in front which will bring them up the pitch and hopefully leave gaps at the back for us to exploit.

Playing for a draw is dangerous, we’ve got to attack put them on the back foot and let them know they’ve got a game on their hands, we can’t let our goal difference get any worse.
