Benrahma to Lyon looks done as I've seen a pic of a Lyon fan taking a selfie with Benrahma who is wearing a Lyon tracksuit top ?

Stevie66

1.) 01 Feb 2024 17:18:49
I thought we were not letting players go unless we had a replacement?

2.) 01 Feb 2024 18:09:28
Armando Broja to Fulham, here we go! Agreement reached on loan until the end of the season for £4m fee to Chelsea.

Broja will complete medical tests tonight in order to sign later.

3.) 01 Feb 2024 18:39:20
Apparently we did approach Chelsea for broja but Fulhams offer was more appealing!

4.) 01 Feb 2024 20:05:15
I must be the only one that doesn't see anything in Broja that even remotely deserves all the hype he gets. That said, it's the sign of a really poor team when a poor player like him could come in and actually improve it.

5.) 02 Feb 2024 07:53:09
Benrahma must be thrilled to have been shafted by his current (and continuing) employers.

6.) 02 Feb 2024 13:46:40
Regarding Borja I agree with Billy. I think he is totally overrated. The other week Chelsea scored 5 or 6 goals in one match. He was playing as centre forward from the start of the match, and didn’t score one or even an assist.
I think he would also be a total Moyes type player and one small hope is that we didn’t go for him because hopefully at the end of the season we may be a Moyes-less zone ?

7.) 02 Feb 2024 14:17:58
I'm in agreement with what's been said about Broja. Totally overrated.
One can only hope that Moyes is for the chop at the end of the season, but why, oh why has Sullivan put the fans through a season of misery with the sh*t football and dashed transfer hopes, other than to save a few bob on compensation? It's an indication he couldn't give a toss about WHU. All he's interested in is his pocket. Moyes has to go, yes, but he's only part of the problem. The sooner Sullivan, and his brand of secondhand car dealership, goes, the better.

8.) 02 Feb 2024 21:52:01
I'm not so sure on BROJA I think there is goals in him tinny just my opinion but we desperately need a vocal point up front as I'm not convinced one iota that BOWEN is a striker he's an out and out winger for me and he was constantly having balls launched up around his neck and he just isn't that type of player although for his size he's very good in the air but he's no Number 9 that's for sure and silly bollocks DD having his head in his hands when a ball is played in the air to BOWEN and our opponents win the ball it's his proxy tactics and style of ball his killing us and it's all down to one clown DD.⚒⚒⚒

9.) 03 Feb 2024 04:45:07
I agree. Just not Broja.

10.) 26 Mar 2024 01:07:16
He's a witch . oops that's Bruja

12 Jan 2024 13:08:11
My mate who's a massive Leeds fan has said there's big rumours that Gnonto to West Ham for 15m + Johnson ?

Stevie66

{Ed002's Note - Wilfried Gnonto (LW/RW) Juventus have again offered McKennie on a permanent deal for Gnonto but Leeds are not keen. Manchester City interest in taking him as cover has gone. Low-ball offer from Everton rejected in the summer and they will now have to pay a lot more to sign him. Inter offered a good solution with the departure of Correa in the summer and the player was open to a return to Milan but Leeds would not play ball. West Ham have made an enquiry after their interest in Armand Laurienté was rejected.}

10 Aug 2023 15:50:43
Just read we've turned down £88m bid for Paqueta, so if we can get more than that then I think we should sell ?

Stevie66

1.) 10 Aug 2023 16:33:25
Looking like we want £95m. Odd that two days ago sullivan said he is not for sale? Also, Big Twist in the James Ward Prowse deal emerges, it appears that West Ham are still in talks with Manchester United over Scott McTominay and the Hammers will either sign James Ward Prowse or Scott McTominay in the next 72 hours but not both (only west ham)! So after all this arguing with Steidten this is the result?

2.) 10 Aug 2023 16:43:03
I suggest WE stop messing around, get JWP, sell paqueta, get Fofana, couple full backs, goalie and 1 strikers and a winger

3.) 10 Aug 2023 20:08:16
To be honest oshee, it looks like paqueta wants out. Can't blame him especially if city want him. Champions league and to play under pep.

We'd have 230mil then.but this is moyes who would probably waste it. If we did get fofana, a decent striker ans full backs with the paqueta money it would be money we'll spent. JWP as rotation wouldn't be bad

4.) 11 Aug 2023 03:20:00
We should have signed AARONS from norwich £10 mill what a snip quality R/B.

5.) 11 Aug 2023 05:31:52
Not so sure about Aaron's. But I guess at 10 mil would've been a good punt.

6.) 11 Aug 2023 10:38:45
As a Right Back in a back four, I don't think Aarons would have started over Coufal, he is defensively as strong. However, as a wing back in a back five, he'd have been a very good addition for £10 million.

Buying him for £10 million and "coaching" him to improve his defensive stats, would have been worth the punt.

7.) 11 Aug 2023 13:12:02
Any proper full backs are better than what we have currently.

8.) 13 Aug 2023 02:24:06
At least Dick Turpin wore a mask AFC have stolen AARON for peanuts in today's marketplace.

9.) 14 Aug 2023 00:09:22
My lord! The sooner Sullivan visits this site and asks the Eds for some of your personal details so that he can contact you about becoming negotiators the better …. I bet he didn’t kick himself about doing it sooner so that we didn’t miss out on Aarons!

10.) 16 Aug 2023 16:17:37
Why not ; Elon Musk hires people off the net. He even spoke to me.I know many have wanted to see me in a one way rocket ? to Mars for some time.

05 Jan 2023 18:17:51
I see we're linked with Danny Ings, not sure about this one, 30yrs old and injury prone.

Stevie66

1.) 05 Jan 2023 22:36:27
Would be so Moyes this. 31 this year, apparently a £10M value and £120k a week wages. So basically if he got say a 2 year contract, that'd be an outlay of around £22m including wages for a player that we'd be looking to replace in a year to eighteen months time.

It wouldn't dawn on Moyes to pay say £30M on a younger player who would still be at the club in 5 years time.

18 Sep 2022 21:57:19
Brendan Rogers will be our next manager.

Stevie66

1.) 19 Sep 2022 10:56:55
That would be better than moyes

2.) 19 Sep 2022 15:40:59
No thank you

3.) 20 Sep 2022 16:45:26
Come on Lads DM and done wonders, let's give him a chance and hope once the new players get fit and keep the faith and see what happens in the next 5 games.
We have had some bad results but i do believe we have been unlucky to loose 2 of our previous games Chelsea and Nottingham Forest

4.) 21 Sep 2022 06:37:06
I think that most can see we have some issues and what's frustrating is he keeps repeating the same mistakes. Coufal and soucek are having stinkers but he keeps playing them.

5.) 22 Sep 2022 21:26:29
It isn't only Coufal and Soucek. Cresswell, Fornals and especially Bowen have been dreadful. How these players are getting in the team in front of some of the new signings Moyes only knows. That is what is going wrong in my opinion, players are getting in the team on past merits rather than current form, exactly the same as Southgate with England players. Also as the great Albert Einstein said, the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, this sums up Moyes to a tee, as other teams have sussed out the way we play but we just play exactly the same ever game.

6.) 24 Sep 2022 14:30:42
Something's not right that's for sure. Players seem to have regressed badly under Moyes since halfway through last season. Maybe it's fatigue, maybe it's Moyes tactics - which to be honest are one dimensional and incredibly easy to play against.

I wasn't convinced when re re-hired him but gave him the benefit of the doubt and was mildly surprised with our efforts over the last two-ish seasons. However, as tends to happen with Moyes, his teams tend to become dull and jaded and the performance levels plummet off of a cliff, which sadly, is exactly what's happening to us.

No matter how much 'credit' he may have in the bank, the current PL form of the club is alarming and needs addressing, starting with the Wolves game. IMO that's a must win, if we don't then surely a conversation at board level must be had. Trouble is, if Moyes were to go, we wouldn't sign a Poch or even a Tuchel, we'd just promote Warburton who is so out of his depth at PL level he needs a life jacket.

7.) 24 Sep 2022 23:18:16
Or maybe they over achieved for a season and a half and are now struggling to continue to do it. The same players were in relegation trouble prior to both Moyes spells. Maybe he got a lot more out of them than he could have expected but now some are dropping back to who they really are? I said before the season started we would likely struggle for top half. I think a couple of very good seasons has really raised expectations but perhaps a little unfairly. Yes hoping for great things from Paqueta but Scamacca is young with one good season so will take time, Aguerd we hope can recover from injury, Emerson hadn’t played for Chelsea in the league for a year and was surplus to requirements, Kehrer is rated by Germany but PSG fans said he was prone to errors that cost goals, Areola was surplus to requirements at PSG, Downes looked good at a lower level but also is going to need development. So not like we spent buying world beaters and while this may seem negative, I do believe some expectations are beyond what the squad is right now. A good run and we can challenge top 8 or so but we need time and a few more top quality players to really be expecting that rather than hoping for it.

8.) 25 Sep 2022 15:34:18
Good post Billy?Agree entirely??⚒⚒⚒⚒

9.) 26 Sep 2022 10:35:58
Bang on Billy, and as you say, even if he goes, who would they bring in cause Tuchel and Poch won't come to us. It amazes me that Southgate is beinbg linked with the sack but Moyes is apparently 100% safe?

10.) 26 Sep 2022 13:15:48
Oddly, Pochettino is very keen on a premier league return and is being linked with VILLA? We could always wait and then get Solksjaer ROFL

11.) 26 Sep 2022 14:18:09
If he is interested in villa he might like a west ham job. The only drawback is that he is spurs through and through

12.) 26 Sep 2022 14:48:13
O’Shee, I can’t believe any professional Manager / Player wouldn’t Manage or Play just as well because he was with a rival club, in fact I would think it would work in reverse and incentivise you! Think there could be exceptions of course such as Benitez at both Scouse clubs, or Celtic / Rangers where at both would be extreme animosity which I have never understood!
Certainly wouldn’t bother me that he has Managed Spurs!
⚒⚒⚒⚒

13.) 26 Sep 2022 18:58:52
Wouldn't bother me either dude but you can bet their are small minded individuals out there that would

14.) 26 Sep 2022 23:59:59
Harry went to Spurs

15.) 27 Oct 2022 10:17:41
Then Bren would sign the rising 36 Vardy rather than Maddison, whom we could do with lol

16.) 22 Nov 2022 14:29:32
Vardy would have to learn wing-back though, let us not forget.

17.) 22 Nov 2022 14:55:11
SDL - and goals went to Newcastle

Why wasn't the challenge on Bowen looked at by VAR, joke, ref was poor today!

Stevie66

10 Aug 2023 07:41:00
Hi all, one of the players mentioned in a player plus cash swap deal for Paqueta is Cole Palmer good young prospect but still inexperienced in the premier league, what's your thoughts, and should we even be letting Paqueta go, I think if we can get £85m then let him go as he'll only go for that amount next season anyway when his buy out clause kicks in ?

Stevie66

1.) 10 Aug 2023 08:14:10
The boy scored an absolute cracker Vs the Arse in the charity shield. And played pretty well overall in his sub appearance.

03 Aug 2023 15:08:29
We need a new leader, I know it won't happen but I would like someone like Julian Naglesmann think he would work well with Steidten both ex German footballers, young and would play good attacking football and I think he's available ?

Stevie66

1.) 03 Aug 2023 16:45:42
Steve, it doesn't have to be someone not currently employed. We got £105 million for Declan Rice. It doesn't have to all go on a player (s) . Why don't we negotiate for someone like Carrick or Alonso and pay compensation? Money well spent now would be an investment for the future. More than millions for players reaching the wrong end of their playing careers.

2.) 03 Aug 2023 16:53:58
At least you have offered a suggestion Stevie66. Unfortunately I don’t see Nagelsman taking such a step down. But thank you for offering an actual alternative to the manager.

I’m still waiting for the others to do the same. Been 3 days now…

3.) 03 Aug 2023 19:21:58
A reason why nobody answered you MIKE LMFAO

4.) 03 Aug 2023 19:41:55
I’m asking for you to provide alternative managers and you can’t.

5.) 03 Aug 2023 21:05:23
Don’t be ridiculous Mike. I’ve only just stopped laughing. The answer is just about anyone.

6.) 03 Aug 2023 21:55:42
Why wouldn't Julian Nagelsmann want to manage West Ham? How is it a step down from being unemployed?

That said, there's no way on God's green earth that Sully would even contemplate a manager who's not got decades worth of experience churning out soul-sucking turgid dross week in week out.

That's why in Sully's mind, Graham Potter isn't suitable even though anyone with even a remote idea about how football works knows he would absolutely smash it for us in comparison to Moyes.

7.) 04 Aug 2023 06:15:00
Potter would suit us. I would not touch Carrick with a barge pole, too inexperienced. This is the year we’ll find if Carrick is good because over the summer many of his players have gone and he’s had to recruit. Chelsea were comfortably the best team I saw at London Stadium last year, how they didn’t beat us 6 or 7 - 1 is a mystery. Couple of my friends are Chelsea fans and they said the football was excellent under Potter and they were a striker away from being complete. Anyway, Moyse is our manager so we should get behind him and the team. Has anyone considered we may do reasonably well this year?

8.) 04 Aug 2023 08:24:27
Soccer, agree with you 100%?Great to see a positive post on here with some other refreshing ones, instead of all the usual moaners that dominate on here lately, constantly repeating the same old claptrap that they have said on numerous posts before, well said?To be honest I rarely contribute on here now due to the continuing negativity posted! ⚒⚒⚒⚒

9.) 04 Aug 2023 10:07:51
Same old, same old. The problem, mate, is the so-called negative moaning is because nothing has changed. Of course we are moaning. Nothing is going right. And it’s not just this site. The justified criticism has grown so much, it’s right across the whole spectrum of WHU influenced sites and publications.

10.) 04 Aug 2023 15:30:56
Yeah but bloody hell mate as you say, same old, same old from you and some other posters!
I want DM out as well, our Football has been rubbish at times, but to keep saying it on every single post, plus get this one, get that one, get this Manager, get that Manager, it’s like a kids letter to Father ??!
Sorry to be so blunt but no other way I can say it!

Plus a new Manager is not necessarily going to propel us up the PL, but just to get us playing entertaining Football as long as we stay in the PL!
⚒⚒⚒⚒

11.) 04 Aug 2023 18:47:34
Chelmsford, great to see you post on here again. You are a stalwart of the site! I don’t come on here so much anymore and when I do it’s generally to see if Eds 1 and 2 have got updates for us. We all know who the whinge bags are, they did it all last season and will continue to do so as they actually seem to enjoy winding each other up.

Thing is they are forcing the “glass half full posters” such as yourself, Coyi64, Mikesiron and many others to leave and in my opinion actually bullied Markwhu off the site . I’ve got no problem naming and shaming them
Tinlegs, Oshee and Daisyhammer are the main culprits but there are others …

12.) 04 Aug 2023 20:52:26
Dabber, thank you?Agree with your names, got quite annoying for me to see the same people dominating on here, but of course it is a free site to say what you like as many times as you like, but I am glass half full in all my life thoughts, especially when you know we can change absolutely nothing! ??⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

13.) 05 Aug 2023 13:13:04
Absolutely Chelmsford, glass half full people tolerate the lows in order to enjoy the highs! Supporting West Ham has and will always be a rollercoaster which none of us can get off, people should just enjoy the ride as opposed to crying about it! Stay posting on here feller otherwise they win! ?

14.) 05 Aug 2023 13:14:58
TinLegs, You would hang your hat on an unproven manager in Michael Carrick. It’s a huge gamble, which is always easier when it isn’t your money. Provide another alternative to Moyes.

Potter I am not so sure on. West Ham might suit him. But the way De Zerbi has elevated Brighton doesn’t look favourably on Potter. Chelsea, although difficult was also a disaster. I think we can do better. Although he would come with a point to prove.

Finally, on Nagelsman, from Bayern Munich to West Ham is a step down there is no question. I think the primary issue would be he would like to manage a Champions League club, hence he rejected Tottenham.

15.) 06 Aug 2023 09:22:51
Re the original premise here of "needing a new leader". By almost all accounts the problem now seems to be, in fact ; Too Many Chiefs and Not Enough Indians.

01 Aug 2023 16:54:59
Right guys here's a list of the players we've signed so far,

What's your thoughts.

Stevie66

1.) 01 Aug 2023 20:47:16
I like that invisible left back. Apparently that fast defenders can't see him

2.) 01 Aug 2023 21:45:07
Blank for special managers.

3.) 02 Aug 2023 03:51:18
And Karren Brady's business nous by the sound of it.

28 Jul 2023 17:11:59
Guys, looks like Hudson-Odoi is Fulham bound, I personally think we should've been all over that, he's only 23 and for £8m it's not much of a gamble ?

Stevie66

1.) 28 Jul 2023 21:23:24
Nice to see man utd are over pricing mctominay and maguire. Plus maguire wants to join a bigger club than west ham. So, moyes choices are dead in the water so fair play to the board, they tried. Time to move in to younger targets. Jonathan tah for instance.

2.) 28 Jul 2023 22:13:33
Tah very much.

3.) 29 Jul 2023 09:06:46
For Christ sake, let’s spend some of the Rice money wisely and replace this short-sighted incompetent manager with a younger, ambitious man who knows what he’s doing in the modern game. Until we do, it doesn’t matter what players we might or might not buy.

4.) 29 Jul 2023 16:21:26
No, they won't because they can't agree. They worked on Harvey Barnes since April and it was sorted virtually and then they brought Tim Steidten in!

En-Nesyri might be worth a shot as he’s good in the air and with the quality balls that JWP can deliver it could be a great combination.

Man City want a buy back clause in the Borges deal so basically if he turns out to be absolutely brilliant then there’s nothing we can do of Man City want him back, just feels like we’re the ones developing him and giving him game time which City can’t do given the size of their squad ?

Stevie66

{Ed002's Note - It is not as simple as that and not how buy back clauses work.}

TinLegs, I wanted Howe even before we got Moyes, when you look at the table at the moment and the spending power of Newcastle yet we are still above them, we’ll see how the rest of the season goes but Howe could be a good fit if we decided to make a change ?

I think it’s £4m to pay Moyes off but it’ll be the best £4m spent this summer, I would love someone like Nagelsmann as he would play to the players strengths and that way they probably wouldn’t want to leave.

For £14m it’s a no brainer, he’s very quick as well which will scare the living daylights out of the fullbacks.
