Guys I've been reading on a few different sites that an agreement with Nuno is close? ?
1.) 24 Sep 2025 20:58:18
I’ve read that there’s an emergency meeting today/tonight
2.) 25 Sep 2025 10:29:30
NO emergency meetings, there’s been two meetings already, Kretinsky is favouring NUNO, Sullivan does NOT have a problem with this appointment, what he is unhappy with is the length of contract without break clauses in it, further NUNIO wants to get an agreed settlement with Forest, before he would take the job, these two things will decide the situation
OR a maybe it will break it
3.) 25 Sep 2025 11:33:42
Lots of talk now of Kretinsky supposedly preferring Silva.
Frankly, he seems the most 'fit' to come in and deliver the style of play the fans want to see, as well as having the experience and calibre to succeed.
Obviously the problem is he's not been sacked so would cost us (the penny wise, pound foolish Chairman) money!
Let's just hope it's true, and Kretinsky can 'logic' Sullivan into submission.he's certainly got plenty of ammo with the last two failings on Sullivan's head, and maybe can galvanise the board to finally do the right thing.
The 10 point plan always said:
"6. Employ the best staff to take the club forward. While we are proud of the club's achievements, we should be clear it is not just down to the board. We have ensured we have the very best people in the right jobs, from football staff and sports science to the new stadium project team and supporter services. We can all see the difference these people are making to West Ham United and our progress on and off the pitch. West Ham is proud to be an equal opportunities employer who has the best interests of its staff and its customers at the heart of every decision the board makes."
About time they stuck to this one!
4.) 25 Sep 2025 13:30:37
Silva is by far the best option of those identified on here. His teams play open positive football and he might just fit WHU. I still think we need a CEO and a Director of Football, but Silva could be the best alternative. My first choice would be Xavi now that Thomas Frank has gone, but that’s pissing in the wind.
5.) 25 Sep 2025 13:45:28
Can you see Sullivan, coughing up £10 m, and a lot more if Silva comes with staff, especially as he’s pleading poverty on a continual basis, a cash injection/ Loan would be required, just to save face, and Silva wouldn’t stand for a rolling contract or break clauses either, in any contract issued
Let’s see the money, maybe Silva is willing, but he’d want a big say in everything like he has at Fulham, especially on transfers, that maybe too much for Sullivans ego
It’s a good call, but it’s obviously, against Sullivans wishes
Fans I guess will all be happy with this appointment, should it get made, it looks a big improvement on the last two
6.) 25 Sep 2025 14:52:50
Silva has got a release clause of £8-£10m apparently and that is the sticking point, Sullivan is reluctant to pay it,
7.) 25 Sep 2025 15:40:46
I can see Man U getting shot of their manager and going for silva. I would like Silva but can’t see it happening someone like glaziner might be a better choice as palace seem to be selling all their assets.
I can’t see the Bournemouth manager wanting to leave his job.
8.) 25 Sep 2025 15:49:43
Talk about a false economy! Sullivan wastes millions on below average players, but refuses to pay compensation for a decent coach! Madness.
9.) 25 Sep 2025 17:12:13
I wonder how much potter and all his team are going to cost Sullivan in compensation plus all the compensation he had to pay Loppy and his team to make us an even worse side than we were under Loppy. I’m so glad we’ve got a board that are experts on football ??
10.) 25 Sep 2025 18:01:45
Loppys done now history, Been through Potter before, if he has the break clause in his contract, it’s a different story, with 7 months to run, it’s not mad money including paying off his staff 3 m and that’s negotiable, if lump sum, but if no break clause, it’s a saga, could be near double that
11.) 25 Sep 2025 18:37:49
But adding all that up it will come to a similar amount as buying a decent manager out of their contract. It’s fools economy . Although having said all that there is no guarantee one of these managers would bring about the change we all hope to see.
12.) 26 Sep 2025 12:32:20
I’m now told that Nuno has said ‘no’ to WHU. Unless Sullivan is flexible, we can forget Nuno.
13.) 26 Sep 2025 13:53:14
I think he would have been a vast improvement but would have been back to square one in about 6 months.
14.) 26 Sep 2025 14:57:53
Potter isn’t difficult to improve on, but Nuno’s football is a bit like Moyes, so I think you are quite right Hammer-D.
23 Sep 2025 07:52:13
I've read that Bilic is not being considered for the managers job if it becomes available.
21 Sep 2025 09:23:29
Sullivan and Brady have clashed apparently, Sullivan wants Bilic and Brady wants Nuno, she got her way with Potter so I wonder if she'll get her way again.
1.) 21 Sep 2025 14:35:23
The only way she should get is the way out.
20 Sep 2025 15:38:28
Would anyone take a punt on Spalletti the former Italy manager?
1.) 21 Sep 2025 10:43:13
Stevie its a mess, we’ve had 2 bad managers and can't afford a 3rd or we’ll be relegated for sure. Do they take somebody short term to try and save us from relegation and give them time to shop around for a permanent fix or go for the long term fix keeping Potter in the role whilst they take time choosing the right ….unfortunately neither solution is ideal as we’re spiralling out of control towards relegation. There are no easy options . The main thing to do now is avoid relegation and for that and I can’t believe I’m saying this I go for Sean Dyche for the rest of the season and take it from there as staying up is everything
19 Sep 2025 17:33:20
Nuno was apparently pictured near Sullivans home today ?
1.) 20 Sep 2025 07:55:40
I think its disgraceful (but no surprise with this board) that we are lining up a list of candidates before Potter has left the club! Jeez
2.) 20 Sep 2025 08:55:11
I didn’t hear many complaining about it when potter was given the job whilst Loppy was taking training for the Villa game.
You are right it is disgraceful but it was also disgraceful then.
3.) 20 Sep 2025 13:55:22
Why wouldn’t they be looking whilst he’s still there, he’s not been very successful has he? Does he actually care, only he knows that?
He Got a £13m handshake from Chelsea, he’ll get another few £million from us, also he knows it’s coming anyway and possibly thinks f—- it they can get on with it, he shouldn’t be anywhere near the club imo, he possibly has no motivation as he has no money worries!
I cannot believe we don’t have anybody that can’t take control for a short period of time! ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
4.) 20 Sep 2025 14:02:46
This is how Brady and Sullivan work. Another reason they must go.

Hi guys hope you're all well, I've seen some reports that Nuno would be willing to sell Paqueta for £60m, personally I'd be happy if we could get that for him as he's not consistent enough for me, he has a couple of good games but then goes missing in others and tries too many tricks and loses possession, what's your thoughts if this is true?
1.) 17 Oct 2025 13:09:29
Hi Stevie, totally agree with you, if offered £60m I’d rip their arm off. Talented boy but too inconsistent as you said
2.) 17 Oct 2025 15:25:25
Stevie/ Dabber yeah with you both on that?? as you both said the key word that sums him up and loves a roll over, very talented but spoils his talent for me with play acting and getting others booked, shame?
⚒⚒⚒
3.) 17 Oct 2025 15:38:59
IMO it’s a difficult one. I think he is by far our most talented player and I think he always tries to progress the ball forward and always looking for defence splitting pass, which sadly doesn’t always come off.
But I reluctantly agree that it would be best to get that sort of money, as he isn’t consistent and has a habit of throwing himself on the floor when not touched. But obviously that money has to be spent well and there is no evidence that would happen. I know he hasn’t played many games but thus far I have seen nothing to suggest Fernandez justifies his £40m price tag. We can’t waste money like we allowed potter to do in January. Diouf is the only decent purchase thus far.
4.) 17 Oct 2025 17:08:55
Personally, I think selling Paqueta would be a major mistake. We should be building a team around our best players, not selling them.
5.) 17 Oct 2025 20:37:23
£60m for Pacqueta would be good money. We’ve had one good season out of him. He is a too many ‘ifs and buts’ sort of player. We are West Ham, not one of the big 6/7. In the ideal world, Brazil do well in the World Cup and his value sky rockets, but sadly we are in a NOW situation.
6.) 18 Oct 2025 11:26:57
I'm a bit ambiguous here, I like paquetta and he is easily the most talented player we have, but he isn't consistent, my biggest problem here is we won't replace him with anyone nearly as good and in a better team he will be a 100 million player like kudos
29 Sep 2025 20:55:16
How come we never played like Everton are playing when we had Moyes, on the front foot ?
1.) 29 Sep 2025 22:04:24
That is what I said to my boys ?
29 Sep 2025 18:12:54
If Nuno has axed JWP then fair play to him I'm it's good to see he's got the balls to do it.
1.) 29 Sep 2025 20:22:16
Nonsense Stevie. He’s the bloody manager! That’s what he’s paid millions to do.
2.) 29 Sep 2025 20:50:55
To be honest Stevie I don't think its anything to do with his pair of balls more his pair of eyes ?
28 Sep 2025 20:11:26
I really cannot believe some people are already against Nuno, you wanted potter out and you got your wish but you're still not happy even though the new manager hasn't had a game yet, this is just pathetic, we haven't got the best squad, he can juggle a few players about but give him a window or two for f**k sake, so those people that are moaning already let's see your choice of manager.
1.) 28 Sep 2025 21:47:29
100% agree Stevie66 everyone needs to stop the moaning and get behind Nuno, he turned Wolves round and got them into Europe and then did the same at Forest. In between he got hounded out of Tottenham, despite having a win rate of 47% which is better than our highest win ratio which is Moyes at 44%. His replacement Postecoglou had a win rate of 46%. He might not be everyone's choice, but he is here now and time for everyone especially, at the LS to get behind him and the team. COYI and welcome to our club Nuno.
2.) 28 Sep 2025 21:55:02
Give him a window or two is exactly the attitude that got us where we are now, and of course I'll have an opnion good or bad but it doesn't mean I have to have blind faith in the boards appointment when they don't exactly have a high success rate in that area, the reason a lot of us wanted moyes out was the boring tepid football, this is the 3rd appointment since moyes and it's got no where just another negative manager that wants to low block
I said on rumour page I think silva would have been decent and I'd also add ireola the bournemouth boss both play decent football
3.) 29 Sep 2025 05:48:08
I don’t think that’s completely fair Stevie. I am with you in that let’s give Nuno a try and get behind him, but people are still entitled to say what they think. And if it all turns bad they would be right to say we said so. I’m very much on the fence regarding Nuno but I will give him a chance and really want him to succeed and let’s see what he can do with the same team the last manager had. He did play low block at Forest but it didn’t look that bad to me. People have said he just had good defenders and DMs well he also had Hudson Adoy, Gibbs-White and Elanga who were great. I think he may be a little bit more adaptable than many are giving him credit for, time will tell. But we can’t be saying he needs 2 windows, we should be able to see by December if he can turn us around. And we do need to get to a situation where the managers come in and adapt to what we have and play a certain type of football not needing to completely get rid of everyone and bring in their players.
4.) 29 Sep 2025 07:51:20
Firstly you can't even spell the name of 1 of the managers you want to hire, secondly why would either of them trade their current clubs for us? Thirdly after getting rid of potter and all the backroom staff and the compo it would cost it was always clear the board would bring in someone not under contract so it was always unrealistic to expect that.
The boards sole aim is survival in the prem at this point which is really sad, when we won the conference that was our time to push on and strngth the squad but Moyes/board didn't bring in quite a lot of brilliant players we were linked with and flogged the same 11 every week.
5.) 29 Sep 2025 09:09:24
Correct on every point ChrisB05!
6.) 29 Sep 2025 09:13:47
Firstly the spelling is irrelevant, secondary they may well see it as an exciting project with a club that has massive potential if handled correctly, thirdly that's my point the board have shown a lack of ambition with a cheap appointment again and a safe option we are only 5 games into the season, we aren't in trouble with 10 games left so just staying up is small minded
7.) 29 Sep 2025 12:09:13
It’s got to be said — correct on every point Redrobbo2.
I’m not against Nuno. He may well be ok, but the fact that Sullivan will only hire unemployed coaches surely indicates a lack of ambition. That, and his unwillingness to invest in the club.
8.) 29 Sep 2025 12:44:44
Redrobbo/Tinlegs - again both your points are 100% correct, Sullivan has no ambition and doesn’t want to invest in the club therefore until he goes we won’t get the manager we all want. Given he’s still there Nuno is the best we were going to get ??♂️
28 Sep 2025 08:15:52
Let's hope Nuno can get the best out of Kilman having worked with him before.
1.) 28 Sep 2025 09:57:48
Kilman would be the first one dropped
2.) 29 Sep 2025 09:18:43
Morning Mac, I think we’ve discussed this before, apologies if we have, but I still think Kilman can be resurrected to the player he was at Wolves. £40m was obviously too much for him and I think that price tag has weighed heavily on his shoulders. What he needs is a wiser head next to him as he has tendency to drift into the midfield to get involved when we go forward then is caught on his heels when we are dispossessed. If he had a Tarkowski or Dawson next to him I think we’d see a much better player
15 Oct 2025 17:33:24
I’ve read that they are moving away from Toney as an alternative has been offered on loan with obligation, but they’re not letting on who it is, anyone got any info.
08 Oct 2025 10:18:42
Joyfull, How are we going to afford players in January without breaking the rules ?
03 Oct 2025 11:38:08
I think Nuno is bringing in his own coaching staff during the international break, he’s currently working with the academy coaching staff which could be a good thing as they can tell him who the decent prospects are.
27 Sep 2025 15:30:46
Let’s all get behind him
25 Sep 2025 14:52:50
Silva has got a release clause of £8-£10m apparently and that is the sticking point, Sullivan is reluctant to pay it,
30 Sep 2025 17:53:36
I don’t think you can take away the captaincy now, how would that make Bowen feel, other clubs would be straight in for him thinking that he would be pissed off with that and try to get him out.
28 Sep 2025 08:49:38
Well said Brooking especially the supporting manager bit, some people already saying he’s the wrong manager for the job, how do they know he’s only been here 5mins.
24 Sep 2025 05:33:01
Brooking10, I was thinking the same, Emery is a good manager.
19 Sep 2025 10:53:15
DIE_4_WHUFC, Bilic and O’Neil have been heavily linked and are not attached, so another two cheap options for Sullivan ?
18 Sep 2025 13:00:58
We need a new approach someone with new ideas we don’t need to bring managers that we’ve had before back, Sullivan really needs to wake up, I know for a fact that David Gold didn’t like him, we went to Golds house when he opened his garden up for a charity bash and my wife asked him if we’re going to see his partner in crime so to speak and he said “not on your Nelly is he coming here”, get rid of Sullivan and the club will be on the up from day one.
