Apparently Wolfsburg had an €18.9m euro bid accepted for Cresswell but the player has rejected the move, what is Sullivan waiting for ?
1.) 19 Jan 2026 20:46:48
STEVIE, it was posted last week mate, Sullivan doesn’t want to pay 20 m euro plus for Cresswell
Sullivan turned down the chance to buy him for 13 m euro last summer and wouldn’t go above 11 m
He may have to go for it though as, others are reluctant to come
2.) 19 Jan 2026 22:25:34
He's waiting for the paquetta money
12 Jan 2026 18:12:15
Eric Dier anyone?
1.) 12 Jan 2026 19:31:46
32 in a few days. Certainly better than anyone we currently have but he'll want silly wages.
2.) 12 Jan 2026 19:50:19
BillyDWhizz, he could turn out to be another Dawson.
3.) 12 Jan 2026 20:17:40
Absolutely and possibly the leader we need at the back
4.) 13 Jan 2026 04:40:24
Come on; you must be joking!
5.) 13 Jan 2026 08:18:39
I’d take Dier for the rest of the season if only for his leadership qualities
6.) 13 Jan 2026 10:49:20
I think he would be a decent acquisition. We are not in the position where we can be fussy about who we take. Is he better than what we have? Well he is better than Killman and can play in midfield and someone with leadership qualities
7.) 13 Jan 2026 12:23:32
If he can run faster than Kilman, spot a danger ball more often than Kilman and perhaps head the ball more often than Kilman then take him. He would become captain of the defence at least
8.) 13 Jan 2026 14:08:05
Dier is better than what we have. Very good signing
09 Jan 2026 16:40:57
We're apparently looking at the Spurs Czech keeper, Kinksky ?
1.) 10 Jan 2026 09:07:52
Hope it’s for the number 2 slot, Bloody insult if not imo? ⚒⚒⚒⚒
2.) 10 Jan 2026 09:41:34
Don't know anything about him to be honest but we definitely need another keeper
08 Jan 2026 15:27:34
I see Bento is going to Genoa.
1.) 08 Jan 2026 16:04:13
Genoa is Italys hot spot for both emerging talent, and a jumping off point for players that see themselves at bigger clubs
Anybody not coming to WH, can you really blame them?
05 Jan 2026 19:03:32
Are we in talks with the Brazilian keeper Bento, who in the Saudi league ?
1.) 05 Jan 2026 19:46:15
Sorry should’ve said “who plays in the Saudi league “
2.) 05 Jan 2026 19:54:18
YES, it was obvious that WH would be looking for a goalkeeper, No hands Hermansen, could sink us on his own!
Fabianski has had back problems, since his return to WH, and is leaving in June anyway
Wether or not they sign Bento is another matter, but they must get someone else between the sticks pronto
Despite our crap displays, Areola has played well, if he gets injured then what, ? Our young gk Herrick, not yet ready
3.) 05 Jan 2026 19:57:36
Are we in talks with the Brazilian keeper Bento, who in the Saudi league

Morning all, what's your thoughts on today's game, I was hoping we would've had a new defender in for this game, Spurs need a pick me up and a result so I just hope we're not going to roll over like we normally do when a team needs a win just like we did against Wolves, we need to play on the front foot and stop all this bloody sideways passing across the back, that just gives the opposition time to reset, so frustrating.
1.) 17 Jan 2026 13:18:03
Perfect opponents to kick start spuds. 3-0 i reckon.
2.) 17 Jan 2026 13:44:27
I'm going to say that spuds will score their first within 6 minutes. Final score? We'll probably lose by at least 4. Even at our absolute worst in the past, I've never thought that we've got no hope at all in a game. Until now.
3.) 17 Jan 2026 14:19:10
Sadly agree Billy. I think we will lose but obviously hope I’m wrong
4.) 17 Jan 2026 14:50:21
Can't see any other result than a spurs win like you Billy for the first time as a west ham supporter there is no hope at all, no more money will be spent this window we are all but relegated anyway, the FA Cup is not a bright spot as this gutless team have no hope of getting a result against a big club if we get through and finally meet a big club that is
5.) 17 Jan 2026 15:13:38
Fancy a draw
6.) 17 Jan 2026 17:08:05
I love it when I'm completely, utterly and totally wrong! ?
7.) 17 Jan 2026 17:22:34
Me too haha
8.) 17 Jan 2026 17:48:55
Ditto ?
16 Jan 2026 14:29:22
Could be a managerial merry go round at the end of the season, could Glasner go to united? Where would that leave Carrick, could Alonso go to Liverpool, and where would that leave Slot, and what do we do with Nuno, do we make a change regardless if we stay up or not? What's your thoughts guys.
1.) 16 Jan 2026 17:19:37
We are not staying up.
I don’t see Nuno leaving either.
Not many lead coaches will touch us
2.) 16 Jan 2026 17:46:56
Personally Stevie I think he has to go. I didn’t say that originally and feel he has inherited a worse situation than others but I see no improvement and a team that look zero on confidence and I don’t like his ideas and nor do I. I thought he could at least keep us up but he’s failed dismally
Ultimately the board are to blame for this whole mess.
Let’s hope they go some time soon but I get the feeling we may have to start from ground zero as we are in a lot of financial trouble our only good thing is the youth academy. I can’t see a top manager wanting to come to us as all we have is big attendances and few portacabins at rush green.
3.) 17 Jan 2026 05:44:01
With Glasner now confirming that he’ll be leaving Palace in the summer, it sounds to me that he’s Old Trafford bound on a permanent deal. That would leave Carrick available and I hope in the frame for us. Nuno is bound for the door, either now or in May.
16 Jan 2026 06:28:56
We've had two weeks since our last prem game to get a defender or two in, I really don't know what they're waiting for our defence is shocking we're going to have to score at least two goals away at spurs as we can't keep a clean sheet, this is the area that should've been sorted out first, so it looks like we're going to have to go with Todibo and Kilman tomorrow as Mav is injured.
1.) 16 Jan 2026 06:49:13
Apparently, Sullivan has already given up. Allegedly, he said, when asked about more incomings, “What’s the point? We’re already down.” If that is true, he won’t agree to any further purchases until our outlay for the two Mendes players at the start has been covered. We really are in sh*t street.
2.) 16 Jan 2026 08:59:44
I don't believe a word of that Tin, what manager in their right mind would say that in public, especially after spending near 50m a week ago. It's hard for any team in our position to sign players unless they're offered ridiculous wages and relegation clauses. More than likely we'll end up with a couple of loans or players after one last big pay day
3.) 16 Jan 2026 09:16:37
Ultimately i think its a realisation we all need to come to. I do not see the bottom 3 changing. Our best bet would be to start planning ahead for next season, the championship is a hard league to get out of. We need to make the decisions on who the head coach/manager will be, how we plan to play and which players will stay around.
Rather than wasting 15min cameos on Rodriguez to do jack with, give those minutes to players who will be in the squad next season (kante for example)
4.) 16 Jan 2026 09:22:17
Ageeed skaman i see us bringing in a few loans towards end of window but don't see them spending more unless they move on Paqueta.
Only thing i will disagree with is your statement regarding 50mil spent, although this is correct, they have moved on Fullkrugs wage already and cashed in on Guilherme so the actual outlay is a lot less than 50mil and more likely around 20. If they move on Paqueta and don't spend another penny then it shows their ambition
5.) 16 Jan 2026 10:50:51
Yeah i get that Chris but if Sullivan was resigned to thinking we're going down then he wouldn't have spent the money, it would've gone in his back pocket. Taty's wages covers Fullkrugs, then there's Pablos wages.
Guilherme only went for 17m so we'll see about 4 of that for the first year. Still more out than in. I can't see them replacing Paqueta with a big signing when Fernandes and Pablo can play in his position.
6.) 16 Jan 2026 11:00:59
Paqueta money has to go on a CB, midfield i think we are good.
7.) 16 Jan 2026 12:19:53
Skaman, it wasn’t the manager who allegedly said that. It was the chairman, and it was allegedly a leak from the boardroom, not in public. I have no idea if it’s true, but I wouldn’t put it past the worm Sullivan. I can understand what Hammer-D is saying.
If we are sinking, better to go down with a fight than a whimper. If, as it seems, we are doomed, with our club debts and no traditional home, I fear a “rebuild” might just be pie-in-the-sky. But you can be sure the rats in the boardroom will desert the sinking ship!
8.) 16 Jan 2026 12:29:02
You can be sure that any money for Paqueta will go towards covering the near £50 milliion spent on the two Mendes players, Taty and Pablo.
15 Jan 2026 09:53:19
Jamaal Lascelles Newcastle defender is in the last year of his contract, I know he's the wrong side of 30 but could do a job and organise the defence. ?
1.) 15 Jan 2026 10:21:00
Certainly a useful player
WH are handicapped, in so far as any player now signing would be expected to make the drop with the club if it comes to that
Any player like Lascelles will try and stay in the top league if possible as first option
That’s why WH are finding it-very hard to attract certain players
2.) 16 Jan 2026 00:11:37
Lascelles and Dier would stop many of our leaks.
Don’t know why we didn’t sell Pacqueta and grab Connor Gallagher. Spurs got that sorted in 1 day!
3.) 16 Jan 2026 05:48:44
I think we need to get a move on and sort out CB issue as soon as. With mavropanos out, it forces nuno to play calamity kilman
Say no more
4.) 16 Jan 2026 07:05:59
Sorry fellas some of this stuff is like we are playing fantasy football IMO. We can’t just get players, they and their team need to agree. There is absolutely no appeal for any player to come to West Ham.
5.) 16 Jan 2026 08:37:56
That is absolutely correct Hammer D, WH are less than zero as an attraction, for the vast majority, of players
There is just a small clutch of people we are an attraction for, lesser knowns, in order to get known, and tried professionals, who are willing to acknowledge, the drop, if and when it happens
Gallagher refused WH 3 weeks ago as I posted on here, because of this situation
6.) 16 Jan 2026 09:17:49
Agreed Hammer D. Saw a post on here yday saying we should of moved on Paqueta and got Gallagher instead of Spurs. dreamland some people living in to think that's happening.
7.) 16 Jan 2026 13:31:59
HammerD and Chris, agree with your comments about fantasy Football, said this several times on here previously, rather silly to think just because a decent player is available we can “press gang” him into the London Stadium! ⚒⚒⚒
8.) 17 Jan 2026 09:31:35
Chelmsford1944 its crazy talk. We are not an attractive side. Only thing we have to offer is wages and potentially first team football 6months before a world cup. But other teams can offer this and much more too.
14 Jan 2026 17:19:28
I still think we need a defender in by the time we play spurs, we can't go with Kilman, we need to get something out of that game.
18 Jan 2026 21:05:19
Joyfull, let’s hope he signs, we’re not down yet,
17 Jan 2026 10:22:40
If we’ve got money to spend the go and get a CB, it’s bloody obvious that’s where we need to strengthen ?
15 Jan 2026 18:07:27
Yeah pay him off, he’s not exactly playing much is he, so get rid and get someone in that will make a contribution.
12 Jan 2026 19:50:19
BillyDWhizz, he could turn out to be another Dawson.
12 Jan 2026 16:07:36
This is where we could come unstuck, don’t forget we’re trying to catch teams like Leeds, he could quite easily score a couple of goals that could keep them up and send us down, this is where I don’t like the loan system, why would we send someone on loan to try and help a team we’re trying to catch stay up. ?
17 Jan 2026 23:24:32
Without a doubt Keep Wilson.
14 Jan 2026 15:27:54
I only suggested it as I’ve seen on tv that he is looking for more game time ?
13 Jan 2026 13:27:24
Tin legs, hear what your saying but everyone was saying the same when we signed Dawson, like “he’s too old, too slow etc” Dier has played at international level and even captained England, he has leadership qualities which none of our defenders at the moment have, we need all the help we can get, he also plays in midfield so could quite easily sit as a defensive midfielder if need be, at the moment it’s not working and we’re not in a position to attract top top players, to get players with prem experience and hit the ground running is a must, we haven’t got the games left to bed players in, we are in the brown stuff big time and if we can get Cresswell as well then that would be a massive bonus and I think the fans would start to feel a little optimistic about getting out of this mess which would filter down to the players and give them a massive boost, hopefully ?
13 Jan 2026 09:58:37
Like I said on the Rumours page, he could turn out to be another Dawson ?
12 Jan 2026 18:50:44
Use the money to get a decent defender in before the Spurs game.
