Is Snodgrass injured, he's not even on bench, Haller and Anderson not starting?

1.) 27 Sep 2020 18:13:25
Diffident Dave strikes again. A proper mauling is written all over this I fear.

2.) 27 Sep 2020 19:33:36
We are playing really well keep the faith lads COYI.

3.) 27 Sep 2020 19:50:02
Yeh doing great but Fornals off and Yarmelenko on👍👍⚒⚒⚒.

4.) 27 Sep 2020 21:10:44
Fair play. I didn't see that coming! Played really well tonight and I can see why Moyes is trying to keep the faith with his formation, because when it works, it works. Still think we'd have scored more had Haller started in a 2 up top though! ;)

5.) 27 Sep 2020 21:17:06
What a great all round performance, never saw that coming👍👍⚒⚒⚒.

24 Sep 2020 17:34:13
Apparently our offer of £23m for Fofana is to be paid in six annual installments, so I don't know if they are going to accept that?

1.) 24 Sep 2020 19:13:30
My knowledge of him is nil, but this seems as if it’s another club knowing we are bidding that has seen WH, let’s cash in, they are desperate? I smell another £23m down the drain, if he’s that good why are another top few 8 PL clubs not interested and why would he come to us apart apart from the usual bounty hunting! Sorry posters but my usual cynical post! ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒.

2.) 24 Sep 2020 18:31:31
How close is the FOFANA deal please Ed. COYI.

{Ed002's Note - I have no way to measure close.

Wesley Fofana (CB) RB Leipzig have another who seen as a Dayot Upamecano replacement for next summer but have Fofana on their list as an alternative. Leicester City and West Ham have shown an interest in Fofana, but with Saint-Étienne making it clear that they will sell only under the same condition as they did with William Saliba and he would need to stay for another season on loan, the clubs may need to look elsewhewre. Milan has Fofana somewhere down their lengthy list of CB options but a move there is unlikely right now - and cost would be a driver. Lyon and Monaco provide more attractive solutions but neither would commit the funds this summer for a player who they would not get until next summer - and Monaco's need would only be as a replacement for Benoit Badiashile if he were to leave.}

3.) 25 Sep 2020 11:21:29
I know he’s very young, but dictating a player’s future by putting such a restriction on a transfer, would irritate out of me, if I wanted to move to progress my career.

Who is his agent and what is he playing at?

21 Sep 2020 16:07:34
I've just read that we have ended our interest in Tarkowski?

1.) 21 Sep 2020 18:43:06
He’s a good solid centre back, but at £35m I’m not sure he’s worth that money, although City paid £41m for Ake and he is better than him imo.

Why don’t we look at Smalling £10m and Keane £20-25m. It would shore our defence.

2.) 21 Sep 2020 22:48:02
Smalling would have made sense, not sure Everton would have any interest in selling Keane though, aren't they a bit barebones at CB themselves at the moment?

3.) 23 Sep 2020 20:41:14
Hiya MARKWHU TARSWOSKI is a very good player and is a massive reason why Burnley are always safe in the premiership IMO . COYI.

17 Sep 2020 10:18:40
Is that right what I've just read, Haller and Diop swap for Lyon striker Dembele, where would that leave us defensively?

1.) 17 Sep 2020 12:14:01
Not sure I could believe that.

2.) 17 Sep 2020 14:18:34
Not in a million years.

3.) 17 Sep 2020 14:18:56
Defence is the priority.

17 Sep 2020 10:03:27
It looks like a third bid for Tarkowski has been rejected, is it time to move on and forget this one?

1.) 17 Sep 2020 11:59:08
Absolutely, with Everton looking to shed Keane, Sigi and Walcott et al I would think Moise Keane and a defender would be better value for £31. Burnley jacked the price because we "need" him.

2.) 17 Sep 2020 12:25:39
I'd move on. What about going for Keane and Smalling? You may get both for £30-35 million?

3.) 17 Sep 2020 14:20:08
Matviyenko and Takehiro would sort out both FB positions and give increased options for CB and DM.

4.) 17 Sep 2020 15:39:20
Unless I have it wrong. West Ham offered Burnley £30m for Tarkowski a few days ago and they said no. Also made it clear that somewhere near £50m is asking price.
I don’t believe for a minute West Ham only upped their bid by £1m on latest offer.
I know DGS take chances, but not like that. I think this is mischief making by the media to cause a major fallout so they have something else to report on.

5.) 17 Sep 2020 18:17:40
I think the last bid was £30m with about £10m up front but the new bid was £31m with £25m u front?

6.) 17 Sep 2020 23:30:24
I think that’s right Stevie, they structured it differently to try to test whether it was money up front I’m guessing. Appears walk away time unless there is something we don’t know.

Am I right in saying that we can still buy players from championship clubs until the 16th?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

27 Sep 2020 21:39:19
Thought Masuaku had a good game, Haller didn't look that happy when he scored and at the end?

1.) 28 Sep 2020 07:37:47
No he didn’t, it was a “ it was I don’t want to be here” look to me. Yes Masu had an excellent game, as did all of them! I have always thought he was decent, he is Definitely an attacking wing back, not a defender, very good crosser of the ball👍 The system and the team worked really hard and well last night, Rice also was excellent as was Bowen, Soucek, Ogbonna, Ant worked tirelessly but seems unfair to name names after such a great team effort
Hope we can reproduce that against the Foxes next week, would like to see Yarmelenko given time next week. COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒.

2.) 28 Sep 2020 10:22:23
Masuaku was better because he could venture forward as Cresswell was covering at left of central defence. Between them they played Traore out of the game.
Masuaku has always been ok going forward, it’s his defensive capabilities that have always worried me.

3.) 28 Sep 2020 11:01:14
Haller's face after the goal was - I've scored 4 goals in 2 games in the cup. I've been on the pitch for 2 minutes and i've scored.

Play me. Either start me or bring me on for at 25-30 minutes.

I agree that Antonio is on fire at the moment and rightly keeping Haller out of the starting line up, but he needs to definitely be given more than 2 minutes per game.

4.) 28 Sep 2020 11:18:45
Masuaku has always looked good going forward in the wing back position. As a full back he is a disaster. Still can’t understand why the manager ever plays him at full back. The only way he should ever start is where he played last night. Having said that I would love to see what he could do as a centre forward. With his ball control and pace he would scare many defenders. Just to probe a debate.

5.) 28 Sep 2020 11:49:26
TK, I agree with the Haller comment and I have b been very critical of him on here! Work rate is not so good but if he’s scoring goals it’s unfair not to give him decent a time on the pitch! Hammer Man interesting comment on Masu, maybe worth a try if the situation created it? Think Haller, Anderson, Yarmelenko will be given a start on Wednesday in the Everton Carabao game, with those players to bring in as. apart a second string line up, we could progress in that competition! ⚒⚒⚒.

6.) 28 Sep 2020 16:03:51
Haller must be thinking, “What have I got to do? ” He scores goals.

7.) 29 Sep 2020 15:10:42
It’s more about how we can help him sometimes it’s getting a good early cross not dithering allowing them to get back into formation.

25 Sep 2020 22:37:26
Well it looks like we've ended our chase for Fafana, it's the same every bloody window, we will end up with another Roger Johnson!

24 Sep 2020 10:58:38
Hi Guys, Man Utd are looking for £20m for smalling, if we were willing to pay £25m upfront with add ons for Tarkowski why can't we get smalling, you could even structure the payment of £15m with £5m add ons, to keep a bit of money in the pot for other transfers? Just a thought?

{Ed002's Note - Because West Ham have no interest in him.}

1.) 24 Sep 2020 20:14:32
Smalling is a penalty waiting to happen. He’ll stop 5 goals going in but will give 5 penalties a season. Not what we need. He’s slow to turn which is why he pulls players down in the area.

23 Sep 2020 08:16:21
Morning all, with Moyes now isolating for 10 days, could this have an effect on transfers as he won't be able to personally meet and talk to possible incomings?

1.) 23 Sep 2020 23:00:49
Yes he won't scare them off.

Ed, is he valued at £4m, if so why don’t they just buy him if they want him?

{Ed002's Note - I would doubt it would be any more Stevie. The lesson to be learned is don't buy players simply for the sake of it.}

Just seen that a loan bid for Coufal has been rejected?

{Ed002's Note - Given he is valued at very little I imagine they were surprised witha loan offer.}

We will see if he’s in the squad tomorrow?

23 Sep 2020 20:35:55
That’s £23m plus £10m in add ons but he’s a good young age and he will have to hit the ground running, we need him to be top draw from day one.

I think the last bid was £30m with about £10m up front but the new bid was £31m with £25m u front?

Rice is priceless to us, but I suppose every player has a price so to scare Chelsea off it’s £150m, why should teams like us make a strong team stronger, we will never catch up if we keep feeding these clubs!

27 Sep 2020 07:25:34
Of course I’d want Rice to stay, he will be our captain and the only player worthy of wearing the number 6 shirt should that ever come out of retirement (which it won’t), but other teams sell there big players, look at Leicester after they won the league they sold Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, and more recently, Harry Maguire and Chillwell, and yet they are still battling at the top end of the league, it’s all about getting the right players in, and the trouble is these players will only come to us because we would offer astronomical wages, for example, if West Ham and Leicester had exactly the same offer and wages for Tarkowski he would probably join Leicester but if we offered an extra 20-30k a week then he would probably join us, and that’s where all our money goes I’m afraid, wages, wages, wages? I would like to think we are a big club and just because we’ve got a big stadium and the best fans I’m afraid that’s not enough!

Rudiger, Abraham’s and Barkley, would prefer Rudiger and a couple of full backs though.?

Hi guys, the trouble is, Sullivan and gold have had the club for 10 years and they said when they bought the club that we will be challenging for champions league within 7 years, so when you say it’s going to take 7 or 8 seasons they’ve had 10 already, and this season we are favourites for relegation!

Hi Warrington, I agree that we don’t really start playing until we go a goal down, I really wish we would attack from the first whistle, we need pace in the side, as I’ve said before pace frightens defenders.
