Cornet off to Genoa for a medical, he was great at Burnley but never really got a good run in the West Ham side but good luck to him, that should free up some funds for transfers ⚒️

Stevie66

1.) 18 Jan 2025 11:04:22
Loan only unfortunately, no funds involved

16 Jan 2025 21:06:13
Villa are apparently looking for £70m for Duran

Stevie66

1.) 17 Jan 2025 08:55:52
And i'm sure villa bought him at the same approx time we bought Danny Ings for about the same money. Shrewd purchase by Mr Moyes me thinks ? ? ?

2.) 17 Jan 2025 09:53:02
And we bid 38-40m for him, if guilherme goes to Saudi for 20m we could offer them closer to 60m which we might get him for, would solve our striker problem at least. If we get a striker at that level for the remainder of the season we should get top 10 if not even higher.

3.) 17 Jan 2025 11:21:39
We have already witnessed Sullivans height of ambition, making a silly bid last week, even if we got 30 m for Guilherme, Sullivan would not pay 70 m for Duran end of story, getting back to now, whilst I never thought we would do any actual buying in this window, at least three loans plus options, were needed and very much still are, truth of the matter is, yes we are looking for that, but want buying options for peanuts, you know the old saying, pay peanuts get monkeys, that’s what I’m afraid of, whilst it’s appreciated, we need. To acquire. More players in the summer, the here and now, and to get to the summer is most important

4.) 17 Jan 2025 14:07:18
I didn't think he would have tbh Joyful, wishful thinking on my behalf. But as you point pay peanuts get monkeys, unfortunately sullivans thinking isn't the same.

You'd of thought the opportunity to get Duran was gone now it's not often generational talents want to come west ham, but it appears in recent reports he would still come and be the main man.

5.) 17 Jan 2025 14:22:57
Ansu fati, Andre Silva, Dewsbury-Hall on loan till seasons end. Andre silva has calf injury

6.) 17 Jan 2025 15:47:01
January transfer window is a nightmare I would prefer using youth and obtaining loans were possible. I can see us having a few players coming in as stop gaps.

7.) 17 Jan 2025 16:26:08
Maybe it's the same calf injury that seen him miss something like 50 games over the last couple seasons.

Shouldn't be going anywhere near him.

Dewsbury hall is quality though, fati I'd imagine will be on big wages?

I'd imagine with paqueta hearing now postponed we are not so worried about getting another midfielder.

08 Dec 2024 20:24:02
What's with the Allegri rumour, apparently he wants the job? ?

Stevie66

1.) 09 Dec 2024 10:29:31
Stevie, I wrote a post re him last week, Allegri and agent, had very good meeting with WH, two sides of the coin here, his quality and skill, are recorded, he is a great organiser, which is the basic necessitiy of what WH need, The conversations started with him not taking responsibility. until seasons end, he needs to integrate team to his methods, cutting short all players holidays to two weeks! so he can get going, immediately, before officially starting on July 1st, Do WH fans want Juventus mark 2.? Flip side of the coin, would mean caretaker…… Noble , perhaps, for whole season.! whilst Allegri gets agreed contract to start, (as above ) Two things to note, Allegri is expensive , which Sullivan hates, but as a private citizen he has and would be free of course to attend training by invitation, and start explaining his methods to Noble SO what does Sullivan decide to do?

2.) 09 Dec 2024 13:33:26
".what does Sullivan decide to do? "

Re-hire Moyes.

3.) 09 Dec 2024 16:31:15
My guess is that Moyes would prefer Everton or Wolves if either become vacant. For him to consider us would be going backwards. Let’s hope he doesn’t know where reverse gear is.

4.) 10 Dec 2024 07:21:44
Moyes is far superior to this wally. I'd have him back until the end of the season if Potter does not want it.

08 Nov 2024 05:59:40
Steidten is possibly being lined up to replace Edu at Arsenal ?

Stevie66

1.) 09 Nov 2024 10:36:19
Good. He’s proven to not be the mastermind we hoped.

2.) 09 Nov 2024 19:07:41
So Brooking10, you’d prefer to go back to Sullivan picking our transfers… because that would be the biggest tragedy.

Steidten said this would be a 5 year project, he has had 18 months.

Kudus, Todibo, Alvarez (if he had someone with pace alongside him) would have been unattainable without Steidten. We’d of had Maguire, McTominay and god knows who else without Steidten’ influence.

3.) 09 Nov 2024 19:50:45
Good?! So you'd go back to sullivan making the signings?

How can you mastermind anything when you've got the dwarf overuling him and getting players he or the manager wants it's not a good set up.

Steidten wanted Fofana when Moyes wanted jwp sullivan went out and got jwp for Moyes at a bigger expense with likely no resale.

Stiedten wanted fabricio Bruno 10-15m, loppy pushed sulli to get 40m kilman.

Whetstone sullivans mouthpiece claimed that summerville was a sullivan signing. Again we were linked to cheaper wingers such as Arias.

Chased walker Peters ended up with AwB a Salthouse client and a player loppy wanted.

If stiedten was given the full control in the summer as director of football. We'd have a different team and a different manager, like an amorin or a herlezer instead we've got the dwarf picking a choosing and playing the manager and director off against eachother.

People will point to fullkrug as a dig at stiedten but if he had been given full control I wouldn't be surpised if we signed both duran and fullkrug alongside a top midfielder.

4.) 09 Nov 2024 19:56:25
Let the manager select the players. Nice and easy. Steidten was like a kid in a candy store with the money and spent much of it over the summer unwisely. We are West Ham and do not have time for 5 years projects! When City were taken over they brought experienced players and the youngsters were purchased years later. The age is now approximately 15 months higher than this time last year. Good job Steidten.

5.) 09 Nov 2024 20:21:17
Die4, don’t go along with the “it will be a 5 year plan” is that so he can jog along on 4 years plus of no input being paid £m’s?
⚒⚒⚒

6.) 09 Nov 2024 22:11:34
Can't afford to be that short sighted now.

Having a coach that works under a director of football is nice and simple. The problem Is we don't have that because of sullivan.

City didn't have ffp to contend with and made all kinds of signings so its not even comparable.

Not going to explain all the benefits of having a DoF compared to just a manager doing everything the proof is in the pudding at other clubs that have this set up, villa, Brighton, Newcastle. Sure many others across Europe.

You're stating we don't have time to wait 5 years which no one is saying we do, the point of having a Dof is that we have a constant at the club who can build a balanced sqaud of youth and experience knows the squad and what managers would suit the sqaud.

Youre complaining that the age of the squad got higher but at the same time talking about how city signed experienced players first so I'm not quite sure what you want?

7.) 10 Nov 2024 04:14:21
Well said AI. ??

8.) 10 Nov 2024 12:51:53
Experienced players do not have to be old, experienced players can be 23-26, and have played at a good level for a period of time. What we did not want were 30 year old players coming in! That is obvious. This time last year we had just beaten Arsenal and we’re on the highest point total we’ve ever had in the premiership. Admittedly, we imploded after Christmas. Yet this season is the worst we’ve been. Summerville and Kilman look our only decent signings. £140m spent unwisely.

9.) 10 Nov 2024 13:49:47
Brooking,
By all accounts, Steidten has not been allowed to carry out his role properly by Sullivan. Both Sullivan and JLop have had major input in the summer signings and you have fallen for the nonsense put out by the poison dwarf in order to distance himself from the debacle of this season. Had Steidten been left to do his job properly, JLop would not be manager and some of the signings would not be wearing claret and blue. I’m not saying Steidten is perfect, but to suggest he is solely responsible is not only misguided, but naïve.

10.) 10 Nov 2024 14:26:41
@brooking, your arguing against your own point with that last comment a Dof is there to help facilitate what your suggesting. The problem is Stiedten hasn't had the control to do so as sullivan won't step back and allow him to do his job.

It's clear you're still upset about about Moyes and hold some resentment towards stiedten, but your frustration should be directed at Sullivan and Brady.

They've brought in footballing people in Noble and Stiedten and ignored them.

Multiple people are said to have warned sullivan about appointing loppy, but he ignored them there are also said to be links between loppy and Salthouse.

The amount of managers that were available in the summer that would have worked better with stiedten is crazy unfortunately they didn't fit the sullivan criteria of prem experience and out of work.

11.) 10 Nov 2024 15:55:05
That sounds like speculation Tinlegs. Thought you didn’t do speculation…

12.) 10 Nov 2024 17:10:22
Tinlegs, How do you know Steidten has not been allowed to do his job?

13.) 10 Nov 2024 18:57:05
Spoke to someone I know and Steidten has, in so many words, admitted so himself.

14.) 10 Nov 2024 19:36:53
Cobblers, ‘in so many words’ - you talk like your in the boardrooms with these people. You have as much idea as me or anyone else.

15.) 10 Nov 2024 21:59:22
Very sad, your obvious obsession with attacking me and my opinions.
In answer to your pathetic and immature rants under various usernames, I will say that I have been a WHU supporter for 61 years; I worked in the premiership in the 1990s, mainly at a different Prem club. During this time, I made a lot of contacts. I have maintained contact with one or two since then. A member of my family is currently on the coaching staff of a Premiership club. My postings are purely based on my opinions and do not reflect directly anything said to me in confidence. I will never reveal any source of the information I am given. You, Irongeez or Caligula, or any other name you want to go by, do not know me, nor do I ever want to know you. All I ever do is post my opinion, based upon what I am told or what I hear or read. No matter how insulting you become, or whatever nonsense you post, will change that. Carry on with your inane attacks; they just look silly. ?
I suggest you research what Tim Steidten has said in interviews both here and in the German press before you make yourself look even sillier.

16.) 10 Nov 2024 22:43:32
Oh, and clicking on “Agree” in your own posts to make it look like others agree with your comments, does not carry any weight.

17.) 10 Nov 2024 22:59:36
@irongeez, Exwhuemployee gives a lot of good info on his patreon been following him for years.

He is well ahead of the media when it comes to West Ham related matters, he has confirmed how its operated between the manager, stiedten and sullivan unfortunately sullivan is still heavily involved and gets recommendations from his favoured agents on players and managers. Now me personally I'd say you should be listening to the advice of your DoF and you should get the players he wants rather than listening to the advice of agents that have their own self interests.

It's looks to me stiedten was kretinskys man.

18.) 11 Nov 2024 02:21:11
It’s quite well known that Sullivan has his favoured agents, Will Salthouse being one of them.

30 Aug 2024 22:29:34
Still haven't seen confirmation of the Soler signing, is it done and dusted?

Stevie66

1.) 30 Aug 2024 22:50:36
All gone a bit quiet. All I've seen is Southampton putting in a deal sheet re Cornet, to extend the deadline by a couple of hours.

2.) 30 Aug 2024 22:53:57
Cornet looks like it may have fallen through. Not surprised after Southampton signed Fraser.

3.) 30 Aug 2024 23:05:15
JWP signs for Soton.

4.) 30 Aug 2024 23:42:31
You mean Forest.

5.) 31 Aug 2024 11:52:05
I did mean Forest lol.

I'm half expecting to see Potter unveiled as manager at the training ground holding a West Ham scarf above his head with Lopetegui in the background taking training ? talk about arse about face ??

Stevie66

1.) 08 Jan 2025 11:54:02
Yeah its ridiculous. What a poor way to run a professional football club.

I'm glad we are getting Potter cause we need a manager who knows what he is doing. He will play youth, bring in bargains, promotes players having a go and freedom to express themselves and the high press which is what we need. And of course he had Premier league experience.

Now let's get behind him and the boys and maybe have a decent cup run.

Arthur Cabral is being looked at. He is only 26, shed loads of pace and skill, knows where the goal is and 15m euros!

2.) 08 Jan 2025 13:55:06
I’ve not been Lopetegui’s biggest fan, but this is no way to treat the guy.

3.) 08 Jan 2025 15:30:19
It is bad the way he was treated, but typical of Sullivan.
There is a definite feeling of positivity now even from people like me who have been unsure. I think everyone will get behind him and most of us will give him time to turn things around, i’m pretty sure he will .
From what I am hearing on here and other sites the gloss is also coming off of TS and hope he goes as well, as he is appearing as a very devious character which isn’t good as we have a chairman like that already. He already struck me as great in the art of being a self publicist .

4.) 08 Jan 2025 17:06:49
As has already been said by Joyful Sullivan has absolutely no class whatsoever however, Loopy was a terrible manager for us which will be overlooked by another Chairman out there that will offer him a lucrative role. They will remember how badly he was treated by Sully not how badly he managed our Team so try not to feel too sorry for him. He’ll also get his 2 years paid up having failed after 7 months so won’t be crying about his finances. I’m happy with Potter. There’s definitely a good manager in there and his stock was incredibly high pre-Chelsea. Ih he gets us playing like he had his Brighton side playing we are all going to be very chuffed!

5.) 08 Jan 2025 20:29:48
Absolutely Dabber totally agree. He has a big job on his hands clearing this mess up

6.) 09 Jan 2025 07:34:25
I'm hoping Potter does not buy from abroad. There are players with premier league or championship experience, buy those. They'll be ready from the off.

7.) 09 Jan 2025 12:40:45
I don’t understand your preference for a player’s nationality. Surely it should be the best player available for the position required at a reasonable price, regardless of nationality?

8.) 09 Jan 2025 12:51:06
Funds will dictate Brooking. Pl and Championship players tend to cost more and there are diamonds to be found abroad. Brighton in the past have shown this to be true and we now have their old manager and one who has managed clubs with lesser budgets (Swansea) . I think Potter had a good press conference and said the right things about the club and supporters. Personally I’m happy with the appointment and keen to watch him do his job. We have to give him at least until the end of the season before any degree of criticism can be levelled due to the mess he has inherited.

9.) 09 Jan 2025 13:19:58
I just listened to a re-run of Potter’s press conference. He said all the right things and personally I feel good about the appointment. Given time, I think he could be successful.

10.) 09 Jan 2025 15:10:36
Just for transparency Tinlegs and I are not doing an Oshee/Daisy Hammer trick of being the same person but posting under two different names! Tinlegs to think we used to love to spar each other, much prefer this way buddy although if you spout neggie comments about Potter too soon the gloves will be off again ? Seriously though guys this site is about opinion and like a certain part of our anatomy we all have one. Sparring is fun as long as its kept clean and sporting

11.) 09 Jan 2025 22:19:16
Think Rashford would be a decent signing for a few months.

06 Jan 2025 22:10:13
So West Ham hold talks with Potter while Loppy is still manager, I'm sure West Ham want Loppy to walk so they don't have to pay compensation ?

Stevie66

06 Jan 2025 18:13:28
Is it 100% that Lopetegui has gone, sky sports are normally pretty quick on things like this and nothing is on there at the moment ?

Stevie66

1.) 06 Jan 2025 18:54:12
Become clear no it’s not clear at all, my pal heard at 1.30, that meeting going on, with Loppy, it was presumed. Sacking going to happen, no other reason for meeting I had call 3 pm, to say he’d left, another call followed, he’s on his way, so must presume he’s sacked Potter been in talks yesterday and today, so again must presume he’s getting job, perhaps myself and about 1000 journalists, are presuming too much! My hopes where falsely raised HOWEVER although I might have been in a jump the gun mood, I still think he will be gone, can’t carry on in this fashion

2.) 06 Jan 2025 18:59:14
Sorry Joyful, it's West ham and more importantly Sullivan who just loves a headline

3.) 06 Jan 2025 22:21:12
The cynic in me thinks the leak about potter was deliberate hoping loppy will walk. It's not like he hasn't got history for it.

13 Nov 2024 16:56:40
Terzic is in the UK, ? wouldn't it be nice if?

Stevie66

1.) 13 Nov 2024 17:38:13
He wouldn’t be my first choice as there are better, but beggars can’t be choosers. We might struggle to attract class acts.

2.) 13 Nov 2024 22:45:41
With things as they are who would be your choice to be the new manager/coach Tinlegs? This is a genuine question, not a dig . Taking into account our current status, owner, internal relationships …. who settles the ship?

3.) 14 Nov 2024 00:34:32
If available, I’ve made no hiding my favourite would be Thomas Frank. He’s not.

4.) 14 Nov 2024 11:17:42
Good choice and one that I agree with. Disagree about his availability, everybody has a price I just don’t think we have owner that would pay that price.

5.) 14 Nov 2024 13:52:55
Of course you are right about Sullivan, but I’m not so sure that Frank would want to immerse himself in the sh*t show that is our ownership. A great shame because IMO he would be just what we need.

6.) 15 Nov 2024 12:15:36
Just a thought, but what is the possibility of JLop going before he is pushed? Would the board be sitting on their hands in the hope he might resign? Is that a possibility? It’s one option, I’m guessing. The ‘must win convincingly’ match against Everton has come and gone. Now we have the ‘next two games’ scenario. Somehow, I just don’t swallow all this media talk.

09 Nov 2024 18:35:43
Well, what do you think guys, that was pony today, loppy was a cheap option that hasn't worked out.

Stevie66

1.) 10 Nov 2024 04:16:30
So true, Stevie. We are going nowhere with JLop and Sullivan.

That’s why we’ve been linked with the Galatasaray striker 31 year old Michy Batshuayi, and if that’s true that just shows desperation and lack of ambition, I can’t see Potter agreeing to that, let’s hope it’s all fake news ?

I think Paqueta holds onto the ball too long in our own half therefore getting dispossessed and putting us under pressure, I would like to see more of Summerville
