It's official. Moyes leaving by mutual consent.

Any truth we're actively scouting John McGinn from Hibs? Hope not - bang average SPL player, not what we need at CM if we're to have a better season next term. Mind you, he'll be cheap. The entire Hibs squads only worth £9M.

Would prefer getting that midlothian nipper harry cochrane looks like he will have a bright future ahead of him only 16 though I think. Looks good for the level he plays at for how young he is.
2.) 19 Feb 2018 23:09:37
Might be hearts can't remember.
3.) 19 Feb 2018 23:10:42
Actually ain't that the same team? Lol.
{Ed007's Note - Yeah it's like West Ham and Millwall, people outside the area find it hard to tell the difference between all the small clubs in London.}
4.) 20 Feb 2018 10:02:24
hahaha, ouch eds you've really hurt my feelings I so sorry don't really watch much of the spl I prefer to watch the southern football league pd.
{Ed007's Note - I don't watch much of the English Pub League myself, Noel. Burnley v Huddersfield and Watford v Bournemouth isn't exactly the pinnacle of the beautiful game.}
5.) 20 Feb 2018 12:06:54
fair enough just the local team to support and help out with as and when I am able to. the funding isn't really much.

I'm hearing that Fernandes is injured with a broken foot? Any truth at all?

Just seen that Fullkrug has broken his toe before even kicking a ball in anger for AC Milan. At least he's consistent. ?
1.) 14 Jan 2026 08:19:43
He will finish up another. Limpet at WH
04 Sep 2025 18:28:12
Wow. Levy's gone. Now, if only our bunch of corrupted, incompetent chancers would do the same.
1.) 06 Sep 2025 12:45:23
In my opinion Sullivan is going nowhere until they take him out in a box, even then Jack will take over. All these people hoping we get relegated so we get an owner change, no chance as potential owners know how hard it is to get out of the championship, especially as most of the squad will be broken up so we start again. Stupid idea. Sorry the only thing protesting does is effect the players. New players especially, thinking what have I done joining this team, stupid idea. Boycotting games, again daft idea, obviously thought up by people that don't attend games as it won't hurt Sully, as according to records 55,000 season tickets have been sold so the club get the revenue regardless. The tourists will turn up so just affecting the players again. Not sure how we get Sully out but protests and boycotting games also put off potential owners / investors.
2.) 06 Sep 2025 19:16:18
Gerry where do you get your figures from? You could be right but that 55k sounds far too high for me. Our capacity is 62,000 not sure how many potential away fans can attend probably around 5 -10 k? I don’t think we have anything like 55,000 season ticket holders.
You go to the games and so do I. At the end of last season loads of people around me were giving up their season tickets as they were so fed up with things and the football was dross. The board then announced a 97% renewal rate. I’m sorry but I just do not believe that figure. I do think it is more propaganda
Also if fans boycott and don’t re-list their tickets then there is not only the loss of money from tourist tickets, drinks and store sales down and a sparsely populated stadium will be a major blow to Sullivans ego.
3.) 07 Sep 2025 08:19:36
Figure was on the internet, I thought it was high but 2 different sites stated it. So who am I to argue
4.) 07 Sep 2025 08:23:12
Soz just looked again and found a site that said 48,500 which is more believable. God knows where the others got 55,000 because that was a few years ago. Does change the facts though. Boycotting games only affects the players not Sully.
5.) 07 Sep 2025 15:15:45
Yea that sounds more realistic. I think we will have to agree to differ on this one.
One thing I will say is that I don’t think it would adversely affect the players as they got some of their best results during Covid. I think the players suffer more when they are playing as they have generally been for the last year. Because the fans get right on their backs.
03 Feb 2025 20:02:29
Tonight's line up worries me a lot. We shall see I guess.
1.) 03 Feb 2025 22:05:42
Since this is a family friendly site, all I shall say is that this referee hasn't been up to snuff and I am highly vexed with his performance tonight.
It seems that Stuart Attwell is obviously struggling to meet his job requirements and as such should perhaps consider a career more suited to someone who's as BLIND AS A ******* BAT!
2.) 03 Feb 2025 22:40:05
The best thing he did tonight was provide the comedy value when he fell over Billy ?
11 May 2024 17:51:34
All said and done, I'm glad Moyes got a decent send off today, but I'm also glad that his particular chapter of West Ham history has come to an end.
Time now to look forward to the future, starting with the playing squad methinks.
1.) 11 May 2024 21:28:31
Agreed Billy. Fresh start where have the potential to do well next season and play decent footie whilst we are at it
05 May 2024 14:38:19
Hmmm. We're not looking so good here. 2-0 already, oh wait, 3-0. This could end up a royal pounding. half the team seems to already be on the beach.
1.) 05 May 2024 14:53:52
Gallagher has run the game for the first 45 Minutes nobody looks like being able to do anything feel a bit sorry for Bowen hit the bar twice
2.) 05 May 2024 15:20:36
Let me ask you all a question. We have a manager who coaches us and sets us up to defend but we can't defend, so does that not speak volumes for the manager. 4th worst defence in the league and now being humiliated at Palace and Chelsea! How can they even consider giving moyes another 2 years?
3.) 05 May 2024 15:34:47
What odds man city get 10 against us? .
4.) 05 May 2024 15:45:45
We've now conceded as many goals as we did in the Avram Grant relegation season - 70. Moyes really living up to his reputation as a defensively minded manager!
5.) 05 May 2024 15:51:53
Odds on Man City scoring 10 are probably the about the same as Luton scoring 5, so what's that? Even money?
6.) 05 May 2024 16:03:09
Incidentally, reports that his meeting with Hammers supremo David Sullivan are also wide of the mark, the pair enjoyed a 'cordial' meeting where it was decided that it would be better to wait until the end of the season before further talks, so the meeting was seen as a 'pointer' rather than a full blown interview.
Hammers stalwart Mark Noble and Director of football Tim Steidten BOTH want the club to go for Ruben Amorim, as opposed to the other main candidate, Julen Lopetgui who is being pushed by Will Salthouse, Sullivan's 'old mucker'
27 Jan 2026 17:08:01
Just us guaranteeing Burnley get relegated! ?
26 Jan 2026 20:32:04
Sullivan will grab the cash for Summerville. It's exactly why we signed Keiber Lamadrid on loan.
12 Jan 2026 19:31:46
32 in a few days. Certainly better than anyone we currently have but he'll want silly wages.
09 Jan 2026 15:41:47
Transfermarkt have him at £35m, which usually equates to about a third or sometimes even half of the real world price. Depends which League we're in come May I guess. The difference being around £40m in the Championship or £70-80m for a PL, full international.
He is on a very lengthy contract though, so that will help a bit I suppose. Well, until he flings in a transfer request anyway.
02 Jan 2026 15:56:43
@Hammer-D Andy Carroll, Kieron Dyer, Niklaus Fullkrug all had medicals as well. Apparently. ?
17 Jan 2026 17:08:05
I love it when I'm completely, utterly and totally wrong! ?
17 Jan 2026 13:44:27
I'm going to say that spuds will score their first within 6 minutes. Final score? We'll probably lose by at least 4. Even at our absolute worst in the past, I've never thought that we've got no hope at all in a game. Until now.
03 Jan 2026 22:01:36
He LITERALLY doesn't pass the ball forwards. We need a ball playing midfielder who can pick a pass and move us forward. JWP would just make us even more pedestrian and easy to play through.
03 Jan 2026 16:52:21
@REDROBBO Harry Redknapp was sacked at HT for Portsmouth v Man.City and Mick McCarthy suffered the same fate for Wolves v Liverpool.
03 Jan 2026 16:40:29
The board will probably sack Nuno after throwing him under the bus and then promptly hire either Gary O'Neill or Sam Allardyce.
