It's official. Moyes leaving by mutual consent.

Any truth we're actively scouting John McGinn from Hibs? Hope not - bang average SPL player, not what we need at CM if we're to have a better season next term. Mind you, he'll be cheap. The entire Hibs squads only worth £9M.

Would prefer getting that midlothian nipper harry cochrane looks like he will have a bright future ahead of him only 16 though I think. Looks good for the level he plays at for how young he is.

2.) 19 Feb 2018 23:09:37
Might be hearts can't remember.

3.) 19 Feb 2018 23:10:42
Actually ain't that the same team? Lol.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah it's like West Ham and Millwall, people outside the area find it hard to tell the difference between all the small clubs in London.}

4.) 20 Feb 2018 10:02:24
hahaha, ouch eds you've really hurt my feelings I so sorry don't really watch much of the spl I prefer to watch the southern football league pd.

{Ed007's Note - I don't watch much of the English Pub League myself, Noel. Burnley v Huddersfield and Watford v Bournemouth isn't exactly the pinnacle of the beautiful game.}

5.) 20 Feb 2018 12:06:54
fair enough just the local team to support and help out with as and when I am able to. the funding isn't really much.

I'm hearing that Fernandes is injured with a broken foot? Any truth at all?

Wow. Levy's gone. Now, if only our bunch of corrupted, incompetent chancers would do the same.

In my opinion Sullivan is going nowhere until they take him out in a box, even then Jack will take over. All these people hoping we get relegated so we get an owner change, no chance as potential owners know how hard it is to get out of the championship, especially as most of the squad will be broken up so we start again. Stupid idea. Sorry the only thing protesting does is effect the players. New players especially, thinking what have I done joining this team, stupid idea. Boycotting games, again daft idea, obviously thought up by people that don't attend games as it won't hurt Sully, as according to records 55,000 season tickets have been sold so the club get the revenue regardless. The tourists will turn up so just affecting the players again. Not sure how we get Sully out but protests and boycotting games also put off potential owners / investors.

2.) 06 Sep 2025 19:16:18
Gerry where do you get your figures from? You could be right but that 55k sounds far too high for me. Our capacity is 62,000 not sure how many potential away fans can attend probably around 5 -10 k? I don’t think we have anything like 55,000 season ticket holders.
You go to the games and so do I. At the end of last season loads of people around me were giving up their season tickets as they were so fed up with things and the football was dross. The board then announced a 97% renewal rate. I’m sorry but I just do not believe that figure. I do think it is more propaganda
Also if fans boycott and don’t re-list their tickets then there is not only the loss of money from tourist tickets, drinks and store sales down and a sparsely populated stadium will be a major blow to Sullivans ego.

3.) 07 Sep 2025 08:19:36
Figure was on the internet, I thought it was high but 2 different sites stated it. So who am I to argue

4.) 07 Sep 2025 08:23:12
Soz just looked again and found a site that said 48,500 which is more believable. God knows where the others got 55,000 because that was a few years ago. Does change the facts though. Boycotting games only affects the players not Sully.

5.) 07 Sep 2025 15:15:45
Yea that sounds more realistic. I think we will have to agree to differ on this one.
One thing I will say is that I don’t think it would adversely affect the players as they got some of their best results during Covid. I think the players suffer more when they are playing as they have generally been for the last year. Because the fans get right on their backs.

Tonight's line up worries me a lot. We shall see I guess.

1.) 03 Feb 2025 22:05:42
Since this is a family friendly site, all I shall say is that this referee hasn't been up to snuff and I am highly vexed with his performance tonight.

It seems that Stuart Attwell is obviously struggling to meet his job requirements and as such should perhaps consider a career more suited to someone who's as BLIND AS A ******* BAT!

2.) 03 Feb 2025 22:40:05
The best thing he did tonight was provide the comedy value when he fell over Billy ?

11 May 2024 17:51:34
All said and done, I'm glad Moyes got a decent send off today, but I'm also glad that his particular chapter of West Ham history has come to an end.

Time now to look forward to the future, starting with the playing squad methinks.

1.) 11 May 2024 21:28:31
Agreed Billy. Fresh start where have the potential to do well next season and play decent footie whilst we are at it

05 May 2024 14:38:19
Hmmm. We're not looking so good here. 2-0 already, oh wait, 3-0. This could end up a royal pounding. half the team seems to already be on the beach.

BillyDWhizz

1.) 05 May 2024 14:53:52
Gallagher has run the game for the first 45 Minutes nobody looks like being able to do anything feel a bit sorry for Bowen hit the bar twice

2.) 05 May 2024 15:20:36
Let me ask you all a question. We have a manager who coaches us and sets us up to defend but we can't defend, so does that not speak volumes for the manager. 4th worst defence in the league and now being humiliated at Palace and Chelsea! How can they even consider giving moyes another 2 years?

3.) 05 May 2024 15:34:47
What odds man city get 10 against us? .

4.) 05 May 2024 15:45:45
We've now conceded as many goals as we did in the Avram Grant relegation season - 70. Moyes really living up to his reputation as a defensively minded manager!

5.) 05 May 2024 15:51:53
Odds on Man City scoring 10 are probably the about the same as Luton scoring 5, so what's that? Even money?

6.) 05 May 2024 16:03:09
Incidentally, reports that his meeting with Hammers supremo David Sullivan are also wide of the mark, the pair enjoyed a 'cordial' meeting where it was decided that it would be better to wait until the end of the season before further talks, so the meeting was seen as a 'pointer' rather than a full blown interview.

Hammers stalwart Mark Noble and Director of football Tim Steidten BOTH want the club to go for Ruben Amorim, as opposed to the other main candidate, Julen Lopetgui who is being pushed by Will Salthouse, Sullivan's 'old mucker'

01 Feb 2024 19:53:43
Wow. We really should be about 3 down already.

BillyDWhizz

1.) 01 Feb 2024 20:22:18
Areola keeping us in it. Honestly, another day and we go in at HT 0-5 down

2.) 01 Feb 2024 20:36:37
Billy agree mate?Total rubbish, Zouma sold Phillips short with that dreadful pass but Phillips was like a CV bloody snail! No attacking flair at all Kudus running his legs off, Bowen off the boil, Johnson crap, give me Coufal any time??⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️

3.) 01 Feb 2024 21:32:57
Moyes out.

4.) 01 Feb 2024 21:40:23
Zouma is horrible to watch, my wife is down there with her dad and she messaged me at half time saying her knees hurt watching him, he looks like he has wooden legs. We should not be playing a diamond, Johnson is crap, the back four was brutal to be fair, Bowen was poor, felt sorry for Philips, he should have put his foot through it but zouma should have first, ings is past it, areola and kudos saved our arse, because I’ve nothing good to say about souchek and wars priese either. Moyes has to have a look at himself and realise we can’t play ward priese or Philips on right or left of a diamond it’s really not fair on them as players. Then he puts souchek as the deepest midfielder when alverez is still on there u can’t make it up, is one tactic is just pants, yeah he won that trophy but come on how on earth is he still in charge.

5.) 01 Feb 2024 23:31:50
DD just will not drop SOUCEK playing him in an attacking position just to fit him in and INGS has his best game against SHEFF UTD and then is dropped .⚒⚒⚒

He's currently got a Cruciate ligament tear. Add that to his already horrendous injury history and he's a player we shouldn't be touching with a barge pole. No wonder Arsenal are looking to pull someone's trousers down by offloading him.

I've never hated RLC. Always thought that when fit he's a good player. Could certainly do a job for us, but unless he's unsettled in Italy I honestly think he'd be mad to leave AC.

Sullivan has decided unilaterally that we're good enough to finish 17th after yesterday and as such I'm doubting we'll sign anyone. Had we lost, then maybe we'd have got a couple of no-marque, knee jerk reaction, desperation signings in. Ah well, all we have to wish for is no injuries or suspensions to any of the 1st XI (apart from JWP - I mean as a first team player, I'm not wishing injury on him) between now and May.

Elliot's a great signing for Villa. Lindelof not so much.

Romano's saying Paq to Villa is done. £47m including add-on's, fees and an obligation to buy, so obviously a loan first. Paqueta apparently 'keen on the Villa project.' Pfffft!

If this is true, then 1. it shows that Paq has zero loyalty and is a garbage human being. 2. Sullivan, by allowing this so late in the window, is probably senile and 3. Brady's protestations that he 'is going nowhere' were bare faced lies told unflinchingly brazenly to every West Ham fan in the country.

We can throw manager's names around until we're all blue in the face, but the cold hard truth is - IF and when Sullivan finally decides that Potter actually isn't a very good manager at all and sacks him, then the replacement will be Sean Dyche.

I was disappointed for Wrexham when he wasn't signed. I think he'd have done well for them. But if he wanted to stay and fight for a place in our 1st XI then fair play to the fella, I think he's a useful player to have around tbf.

So, so, so much better. Our defenders could actually head a ball today! Ok, 1st half was stodgy, but fair play to potter 1. On the formation change and 2. on the subs. Thought Mav was epic today at the back and Summerville, oh boy, please keep him fit now! Wilson did more in 10 mins than the BFG did in 70 so he's a no brainer for Spurs and Diouf's going to be hugely important for us this season, obviously Bowen and Paq deserve mentions, in fact everyone played well, but if we keep Irving, then surely he has to replace JWP - forever.
