Insider football reporting Nathan Holland could be on his way out in the summer possibly to Sheffield Wednesday for as little as £1million - another one bites the dust Great shame if he does go.

1.) 09 May 2020 13:31:50
I too think he will go, also we have a lot of dross we need to get rid of too. Get the wage bill down we have a good crop of young talent on our books and providing we stay up this year our club will only get better.
I do like the way the club direction is going under Moyes, its been a long time since players comming through our youth team have been given a chance to shine.

21 Feb 2020 18:33:36
Frederick's out for some time so Moyes will have to make a decision on playing zabaletta or ngaski at right back against Liverpool.

Another stupid decision from the MP era to sell Byram to Norwich for half a million

No doubt we will play 5 across the back with Mgaski Zab, Diop, Oggie and Cresswrll

Could zab play defensive midfield alongside Rice.

1.) 22 Feb 2020 11:24:09
Matsuaku, cresswell, noble would be dropped. Bring ngaki and Johnson in as full backs. Play rice and soucek in front of back line fornals, Anderson antonio and bowen up front rotating around so liverpool's back. line can't pick up a forward.

2.) 22 Feb 2020 19:54:28
The way things are cannot be blamed entirely at moyes feet. Ok, am not happy what hd did with bowen and feel he needs to change things, but what's he suposed to do if he has a striker that can't score. At least last time we had arnautovic who ran at and in behind defenders and that's what we need.

05 Feb 2020 20:17:43
C&H reporting Kevin Nolan to join coaching team - sounds good to me.

1.) 05 Feb 2020 21:43:21
I’m all for it. He won’t stand for anything other than 100% from every player he coaches.

2.) 07 Feb 2020 18:31:59
Wouldn't surprise me if they appoint Nolan as manager if we do go down.

28 Jan 2020 18:11:02
Rumour that after 10 years Winston Reid is on his way to the MLS Shame another James Collins situation me thinks.

1.) 28 Jan 2020 18:42:02
He had some great games for us, but wasn’t always as consistent as you’d hope. It’s easy to see his time with us through rose tinted specs, though.

That last injury did for him, really.

Wish him well.

2.) 28 Jan 2020 19:15:11
He hasn't really played for 2 years to come back from that would have been too much to ask at PL level.

3.) 30 Jan 2020 01:41:30
He’s cost us £60k per week for 2 years!

4.) 30 Jan 2020 19:42:00
Wow £60k a week for 2 years for doing nothing.

29 Dec 2019 21:18:42
Moyes confirmed 18 month dral.

RIP Jack Charlton a great English man 773 games for Leeds and 35 for England alongside Bobby Moore on that great day in 1966.

1.) 11 Jul 2020 10:18:44
What a giant of a player👍Massively underrated for me, how would we have liked a Centre Half like him? Get past him at your peril, terrifying to play against😲🤭What would his fee and many others like Bobby have been now in transfer value? But very loyal players both, one club men👍⚒⚒.

2.) 11 Jul 2020 12:59:36
Where is NOBLE playing because it looks to me like a free role because when Norwich have the ball he's nowhere near the midfield areas he looks like he's playing as far as ANTONIO. COYI.

3.) 11 Jul 2020 13:02:08
Geordie boys 1-0 up.

4.) 11 Jul 2020 13:33:32
We’ve got to keep going, score as many as we can as we’ve still got to play Man Utd away and the way they are playing our goal difference could take a hit!

5.) 11 Jul 2020 15:20:58
We need to try and get a deal going for SOUCEK he's very good and a goal threat as well as someone will creep up and nick him can't see it happening hope to God not.

6.) 11 Jul 2020 20:15:54
Yep got to tie soucek down in the summer then invest in decent full backs.

23 Jun 2020 22:26:13
How come at Sheffield it's handball and at Tottenham it's a goal Idiot at Stockley Park needs to resign.

1.) 23 Jun 2020 22:58:42
I can’t believe that was a goal, then take into account if we had played spurs when we were supposed to back in March then Kane would’ve been injured.

2.) 24 Jun 2020 10:29:19
You forgot about the 70 per cent possession for spurs and totally dominated the match, we even had a goal disallowed.

3.) 25 Jun 2020 09:31:40
Raver - I don’t think it was all one way traffic, but, frustratingly, Moyse’s fundamental set up seems based on not worrying about possession.

At some stage, someone needs to tell him that you don’t score if you don’t have the ball.

4.) 25 Jun 2020 13:20:48
You should have never had him back mate, I think he's a poor manager who's won absolutely nothing in his career bar a few good season with Everton, it's a shame lampard is Chelsea manager as he would do a fantastic job with the West ham squad.

5.) 26 Jun 2020 05:32:14
I don’t think I have seen a side escape relegation in the modern era by defending and hoping not to concede. The two games back we have not looked like going forward as a unit and have invited both teams on to us. I can’t see this ending well unless we gamble a bit more and push to get some 3 points in games rather than trying to protect one and hoping for a lucky break.

23 Jun 2020 22:07:21
Absolute Garbage.

20 Jun 2020 19:48:56
2 defensive mistakes Diop missed his header for the first and Frederick's missing for the second don't know why he took Jeremy off had a reasonable game.

I thought we looked laboured today Noble back to his old self. This was a non physical game should have put Wiltshire on would have suited him.

07 Apr 2020 10:56:29
I haven't posted anything for a while and firstly I hope all you guys and girls are doing OK thisy 22nd consecutive day of staying home mostly watching old TV series - I'd forgotten how good "The Bill" was.

Main reason for posting was this whole row about players taking pay cuts.

I find it unbelievable that someone lile a first team player reported to be on £100k per week bear in mind that's £5.2 million a year is arguing about a 30% pay cut yes that means he will still be paid £3.9 million a year!

Now compare that to Nurse risking their life day in day out for less than £30k a year by the way that's still just 20% of what an academy player gets paid £3k a week.

I have thought that the amount of money a PL player is paid is extortionate in percentage terms to a clubs turnover.

The reason we are on this site is because we all love West Ham well maybe no "The Raver" but what I am thinking applies to. Spurs as well. Players come and go some lik Noble have the club at heart others and I won't name them have done nothing.

If all PL first team players were sacked we would still have a team to support it may be a different level of football but it would still be West Ham but maybe ticket prices would be in single figures and every father could take all his family. Clubs would still be in profit players playing for the love of the game a supporters watching the team that represents their community.

If this sounds like a bygone age it probably is but I grew up only being able to gob every week to my local team who played in the Southern league. Getting trains to West Ham, a 2 hour journey was a treat that happened once a season.

So rant over but maybe we just need to get the pariahs out of the game, the over paid players, a agers and coaches, the billionaire owners and of course the hangers on I'm thinking agents, Union chiefs etc.

Anyway that was ladt nights dream will let you know if I have anyore weird ones like this.

sdl hope all is well in Oz. Totally agree with you the technology does not get it wrong the human interpretation does.

I would much prefer the on field Ref looks at a monitor having been alerted by Stockley Park. Instead of having a Ref looking at the screens let's have ex players doing that job.

Stevie/ Chelmsford I se to remember that Dyches contract is up either now or next year. There was serious talk about him taking over as Mr Brady works for Dyches management company.

Sean seems to get the best out of good British players who are more shall we say energetic.

The whole problem with the Sheffield goal was down to Michael Oliver all he had to do was ask the VAR team at Stockley Park to look at it.

Morning Chelmsford BRASS to you Best Regards And Stay Safe that is
Think it would be hard to get a goalie any better than Fab just look at what Chelsea paid for their keeper with Randolph who wasn't my favourite when he was vying with Adrian and Trott who at Wimbledon saved more shots across all 4 divisions I don't think we are too badly off some good juniors coming up as well.

Who Wales totally agree about VAR with one exception The technology is what it is - it's the bloody idiots sitting at Stockley Park who haven't got a clue how to operate it IMO both Mr Coote and Mr Moss got their decisions wrong in the last few day I've said it before they are either cheats or incompetent I just hope it's the latter.

Again the European situation could be the same teams as this seasons teams go forward to next seasons champions league and UEFA cups., the likelihood is it would be the majority of the same teams anyway

In terms of Final positions this must mainly concern prizemoney this could be the current positions or evan an equal share between all 20 clubs.

Ed I realise that everyone has a different view on the way forward. One thing I will say l that Bill Shankly's quote that Football is more important than life and death may be tested

Meanwhile love to you, your family and friends and all the contributors to this site STAY SAFELY.

{Ed002's Note - None of these are options I am afraid. There will be a discussion tomorrow but there will not be a conclusion. I have a preference to finish now with something like this:

1. St Georges Park (which is near Burton-on-Trent): Keeping social distance, no hugging and kissing etc., play the Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal games as a penalty shoot out (one goal keeper and ten outfield players) - so 11 penalties each and no sudden death - and award the games as win, lose or draw (1-0, 0-1, 0-0). These will be the "final table" standings.
2. Draw a line across; European places on "final table standings.
3. Top two promoted down through the league pyramid.
4. No relegation this season but additional one relegated next two seasons.
5. If Liverpool wish to be awarded the Premier League title then a black ball vote should be conducted - to be successful all other Premier League clubs would have to vote "yes" or abstain. Perhaps before asking Liverpool would get a better reaction if they promised to clean up their act and behave responsibly.

You are correct about Bill Shankley's quote and that is something that has recently caused a stir when quoted - it won't happen again. We also hope everyone on the site stay safe and fine.}

Ed I respect your view but what do you believe the difference. Between scrapped and closed down.

To be clear when I say scrapped I mean the season is closed as of March with no promotion or relegation I believe this is a clear and decisive way forward.

{Ed002's Note - There are other matters to be resolved to do with final positions as not all clubs have played the same number of games and European places need to be assigned.}

Sorry Ed there is always an option to scrap the season. If you are talking about economics then that's a different story

Players wages are still the biggest problem. A high percentage of PL players are paid £1 million a year its not as if they can't live on a far less amount of annual pay.

{Ed002's Note - No, there is no option to simply scrap the season. If the games cannot be completed there are options to close it down as has been done in other countries - but it cannot be "scrapped" opr made void. It is nothing to do with player wages.}
