C and h reporting West Ham having talks with a 19 year old Rumanian GK called Fara he was born in Dublin in 2001 but hasn't played any first team foorball also C&H saying we are interested in 24 year old Chiba Akpom a product of the Arsenal Accademy at 24 he doesn't seem to have achieved much although played as striker for England U16 17 18 20 and 21

STILL HE WAS BORN IN CANNING TOWN so he must be brilliant.

Putting Roberto to one side, as MP has finally decided to do, why on earth do we need another keeper? Martin should maintain his place in the short term until Fabulouski returns and, of course, Trott is still out there.

Anthony Scully called up for the Ireland U21 squad not surprisong Anthony having scored 13 goals in 12 games in the WHU U23s MP take note and put him on the bench against Spurs.

Claret and Hugh reporting that West Ham interested in Lucas Vasquez a winger at Real Madrid have to ask what we need another winger for.

Sounds like MP thinking about scoring more than the opposition. I reckon most of us would like to see some balance and some decent defence to concede fewer.

2.) 11 Nov 2019 05:50:34
We need a left and right back and pur Delan back in the centre of defence We had a chance to buy Shelvie but didn't so we need a defencive mid fielder Oh and a decent 2nd string goal keeper.
Lets start at the back before we bring in more rubbish.

3.) 11 Nov 2019 11:33:27
Hi Bideford would agree with you on most points but next season we will have Nathan Trott back as an improving GK and the Right back position with Frederick's and Johnson is quite well covered

Lot of where we strengthen depends on the formation whoever the manager is.

4.) 11 Nov 2019 12:53:10
I think the key area we need to strengthen is obvious, its energy and athleticism in the middle of the park. The most successful teams at the moment have this in abundance (Liverpool, Leicester, Man City), and it is easily our biggest weakness.
Iv said previously, no matter how much I like Nobes, he cannot play a 2 man midfield, and neither can Wilshere, especially when next to Declan (who is also not the quickest) . We strengthened some good areas in summer, but we never addressed the glaring issue that (when playing MP's style) teams easily get behind Nobes when he heads higher up the pitch and they get a free run at our defence every time we lose the ball. I do not think our defence is the problem, its how easily exposed they are when playing the style of football MP wants.
Short term i think MP needs to adjust tactically, and maybe play Declan AND Sanchezas together as two deeper players (which may also afford our attackers some extra freedom), or tell Nobes/ Snodgrass to stay deeper. Cullen could even be the short term fix this year.
Tactically, MP is NOT being flexible enough to account for our weaknesses, he is sticking to his "ideal" style but he doesn't yet have the players capable of playing it with balance from Defence to Attack, and this is simply leaving us open.
I was shocked at Roberto's performance on Sat, he was easily solely at fault for ALL THREE goals. Fabianski was not papering over our weakness, he simply wasn't one!

5.) 12 Nov 2019 18:30:13
I want to see us sign a defensive midfielder in January, but a mobile player in the mould of Kante or Ndidi (not saying to sign one of those two, but a player like them) .

I’d also like to see us play with 2 up top.

6.) 14 Nov 2019 14:01:27
Completely agree DIE_4
If we were able to get a midfielder like that then ew can give more freedon for whoever plays in the 10 role to get up and support Haller as a second striker.

7.) 23 Nov 2019 00:35:40
Been saying for two years on this site we need an athletic midfield we had one in KOUYATE but unfortunately he wasn't a footballer we cannot stick with NOBLE SNODGRASS SANCHEZ WILSHIRE 1, They ain't fit enough and 2, They ain't good enough and that is what is putting so much pressure on the back 4 I ain't having that BALBEUNA and DIOP ain't good enough because at one point they were a tremendous duo at the back for us it all starts with the manager for me hasn't got the tactical nous to change things he plays one way and one way only you have to have more about you than that to be earning probably in the top 5 managers in the premier league HOLLAND and SCULLY should be in the matchday squad at the very least but MP hasn't got the minerals to change things and WILL KEEP HOPING AND F-----G PREYING TO GET A RESULT and that is why he has to be replaced but I know what will happen which normally happens is we will up our game 10 fold because its spurs and get a result and all will be forgotten mark my words watch this space. COYI.

Rumours that Coventrys agents are demanding £5k per week to sign a new deal evidently this is twice the West Ham cap and the club has said no

Personally I think the club are right to say no. £125k a year is more than enough for any teenager especially when they haven't played first team league football.

I posted a few weeks back that it could be time to let Masuarka play his natural position on the left going forward with Anderson moving inside or on the right

Cresswell is no longer the player he was so I would put Johnson at left back or bring the new lad catdosa into a back three but it may be too soon for that

Lanzini is getting back to his pre injury days but is still lightweight it actually was quite distressing seeing him trying to push Walker off the ball only to bounce off him and go flying flat on his face. I though Wiltshire was completely off there were no over the top balls for Haller to run on to and once Antonio had gone off there was no pressure in the final tbird

Lot of people saying we need to get 3 points at Brighton but having watched them on MOTD Against Watford that may be as hard as beating City. Still I'm not too downhearted it's early days

With regards to VAR or as I prefer to call it VAD (Video Aided Decision) ) I thought it was OK decision were right and players are going to have to think a bit more about the rule changes.

If they had put a bit more on the screen for the Penalties it would have been so easy to understand a simple "VAR checking encroachment" everyone would have understood immediately

Great fun to silence the away supporters when the Jesus goal was scrubbed put and the atmosphere for a few minuites after was great

Look forward as usual to you responses.

Agree 100% Mercerl with Cresswell and Lanzini.
I also dislike the constant diving from Lanzini.

So Haller dropped in favour of Anthonio and Balbuna in for Diop at least Arthur is back on the bench an Martin in for Roberto still no U23s on the bench I hope that Fornals who starts can actually do something.

So after playing a striker who was isolated up front, he plays a winger isolated up front, lol.

Morning Mark think it's Aaron Long a 26 year old defender playing with the New York redbulls he appears to have been around a bit and has played 76 games for the Red Bulls

Personally would have thought on his experience he wouldn't be up to PL standard but who knows.

Having looked at the stats over the last few weeks it would be Seb Haller and Moisa Marega for me Haller played outstanding last 2 seasons at Frankfurt as part of an attacking 3 and Marega has an outstanding return per game would remind me of a Hartson and Kitspn partnership

Not so excited about Rondon but he does have Premier experience - all 3 would be amazing.

RAVER WELL DONE TO YOUR TEAM TODAY, shame it took a biased ref a very dirty Kane who should have been sent off before half time and a West ham keeper who can't keep goal it also took a VAR for you not to get just 1one point

You will do well under Jose but I doubt your results will be much better than they were under Poch.

Not sure about Bemitez is he just another of that Generation who are looking for a retirement pot. Would much rather find a good young Manager who bring fresh ideas someone like Dyche or Howe but both these guys have been long time managers and established at their existing Clubs. Wat about Danny Cowley although he has only just signed for Huddersfield. Would you bring in someone like Gerrard or Lee Bowyer. Really just throwing out names now.
