So confirmation of permanent signings of Todibo whilst Ferguson and Soler return to their clubs
21 Apr 2025 19:16:24
Reports of a possible player swap between West Ham and Brighton Mavropanos and Adam Webster.Personally I wouldn't be against it
1.) 21 Apr 2025 20:58:35
Why stop at one player? Brighton can have a dozen, if they want them!,
2.) 22 Apr 2025 05:12:48
Rofl ? ? ? congrats to Leeds and Burnley but I fear they will be below us next season
3.) 22 Apr 2025 09:13:03
Not if we leave potter in charge, they won't be Phil.
08 Jan 2025 15:26:26
Official he's gone and all the Spanish coaching staff
1.) 08 Jan 2025 16:58:40
Whilst Loppy was never the right man for the job the way they have treated him is shameful to be honest, not to forget he has just lost his father then to cone back whilst it was virtually public he was going to be sacked is extremely poor to be honest, next it will be we didn't sign anyone in transfer window as we didn't have time to identify targets, our board are terriible
2.) 08 Jan 2025 17:19:43
Terrible?, you rate them too highly, as posted before, we have directors that are financial. Experts, but know less than the posters on this site about football
3.) 08 Jan 2025 19:06:22
I didn't want to sweaar
28 Sep 2024 17:27:34
Never thought I'd hear "Super Tommy Soucek" being sung by the West Ham faithful but he keeps popping up with the odd goal. Wonder what went on at half time?
1.) 28 Sep 2024 19:42:53
Every manager picks him, so he obviously adds something to the team. Scoring 7-10 goals each season also helps. He’d be in my starting 11.
2.) 28 Sep 2024 20:03:09
Glad you’re not picking the team! ?
3.) 29 Sep 2024 08:51:19
Brooking/ Mercerl, love Soucek would be in my side every time as well along with Coufal and Antonio?Of course Managers love him, why wouldn’t they, every player prone to mistakes but he pos up with quite a lot of goals which attackers don’t seem to manage, invaluable to WH imo! ⚒⚒⚒⚒
4.) 29 Sep 2024 12:42:25
Well, there’s a surprise.
5.) 29 Sep 2024 13:09:34
So predictable. If I said the sky is blue and grass is green, my guess is Chelmsford would disagree! ?
The reason I think Antonio should not start is the fact that he can’t score goals, and he’s slowed down at 34. He was a great servant to the club a long time ago, but that does not mean he should play indefinitely. Our failure to secure young, fit, pacey centre forwards means Antonio gets playing time, otherwise he wouldn’t get a look in.
As for Soucek - he runs around like a headless chicken and can’t pass a ball. He throws himself about and pops up with an odd goal every now and then. Accommodating him in midfield means playing others out of position. There’s no doubting he can be a warrior, but he has not got the skill to be a regular starter.
Coufal can’t defend. That’s shy we bought AWB. He’s a Championship standard player.
These are my reasons. And by the way, the sky IS blue and grass IS green! ?

Reports West Ham have put 9 players up for sale Inc Anthonio JWP and the 2 Czech boys
1.) 24 Aug 2024 11:41:42
I would keep JWP basically because we are going to play more attacking football therefore probably getting more free kicks around the penalty box area even if it’s not a shooting opportunity he can still put a great delivery in the box, just my opinion ?
2.) 24 Aug 2024 12:54:29
I think to keep a player for just that is foolhardy, and JWP is a player for whom we could get a reasonable return on the outlay. I struggle to see what he contributes to the team in open play, and therefore we must get shot of him. It makes sense to sell him.
3.) 24 Aug 2024 13:20:48
We’re not going to get it all done this window. I’ve been staggered by what Steidten has managed so far.
Incomings have been well beyond expectations. Outgoings are far more difficult, given the contractual circumstances of the players we want to shift.
JWP is an interesting one. I think he will get game time, but is unlikely to start. Stats wise, he didn’t have a bad season and, of course, he ticks the important homegrown box.
Seven days to go in the window and I’m sure there will be clubs out there looking for real bargains for those we want out. It comes down to have far we are willing to go to take financial hits to free up squad spaces.
4.) 24 Aug 2024 13:23:03
Im with Tinlegs on this one. JWO has been a massive disappointment and looks even less likely to suit Loppys system than Moyes’. We have plenty of players who can take set pieces and we could get a decent return on selling him, £20 - £25m I’d say … JWP plus £15m for either Toney or Dhuran would be good business ?
5.) 24 Aug 2024 13:25:34
Sure between Paqueta, Kudus and Soler we will have good options to take freekicks. JwP has barely tested a keeper with a free kick yet would be interested to see his conversion rate from fk wouldn't be surpsied if its not that good.
6.) 24 Aug 2024 13:40:05
Do you remember when we first signed JWP, think he got an assist and a couple of goals in his first few games, that’s when we attacked more before we started sitting back every game and we were all saying JWP for England ?
7.) 24 Aug 2024 14:08:00
Yeah, but after his performance at the World Cup, we also all thought Aguerd was the bee’s knees!
8.) 24 Aug 2024 14:12:33
We haven't put 9 players up for sale . These YouTube fan channels are an absolute joke . You might as well believe claretandhugh. There just as bad .
9.) 24 Aug 2024 17:05:27
To be fair, nobody said it was fact. In the spirit of the name of this site, mercerl just said there were ‘reports’, i.e. rumours, which sparked a discussion.
10.) 24 Aug 2024 17:06:48
Can’t sell everyone. I’d keep JWP and Soucek for certain.
11.) 24 Aug 2024 19:44:18
Both need to go.
12.) 24 Aug 2024 21:58:55
Soucek scored today
13.) 24 Aug 2024 23:16:16
? Oh well, that makes all the difference then. Let’s keep him so we can keep playing Kudus out of position. ?
14.) 26 Aug 2024 06:52:08
It’s no secret we would entertain offers for Ings, Zouma, and Cornet. I can’t see Coufal playing second fiddle to Wan-Bissaka. Antonio must realise his days are numbered, and Soucek could command a fair transfer fee. It’s easy to see how the numbers start to add up, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibilities.

Congrats to Palace today - with Wimbledon also winning and getting to the play off final it's definitely a South London day
1.) 17 May 2025 20:46:33
With them getting europa its just another team that now has more to offer than us.
Going to be a tough window.
2.) 17 May 2025 21:58:21
Ashley young is avaliable on a free he's only 39 lol anyone know if silkman or Salthouse is his agent? Haha
3.) 18 May 2025 09:00:28
Well done Palace, great result? What a rubbish loser
Guardiola is, bellyaching on the pitch to Dean Henderson and pointing at him, bloody disgrace, then the 2 faced man praising Palace in the press! Spoiled kid comes to mind!
Yes controversial decisions made but that wasn’t Henderson’s fault, so up yours Guardiola! ⚒⚒⚒
4.) 18 May 2025 10:18:28
The joke for me, is winner of the bottom of the league derby, between Spurs and Man U, gets a place in the Champions league, which I’s ridiculous, goes to show how poor the opposition must be, Wenger said, it’s crazy, I must agree, don’t know what you lads think?
5.) 18 May 2025 12:49:55
I agree Joyful, but silence the European cup changed to Champions League (joke name as you can qualify in 5th place this year) it has watered down the competition in the UEFA league so devaluing that competition they had to do something to make club's take it seriously, personally I think the whole format needs revising
6.) 18 May 2025 14:14:26
Yep well done Palace glad to see them win something at last.
The fact that they won the cup I don’t think would have any affect on any players decision to join us or them at the end of this season as everything about their club is better than ours at the moment.
In relation to Europe yep it is ridiculous and the fact is if Chelsea win the europa conference there will be 10 English teams in Europe next year. I’m a bit old fashioned and would much rather go back to the old European cup, UEFA Cup and Cup winners cup, but they won’t because it’s all about money
26 Apr 2025 17:07:08
If you want to learn how to throw away a match just watch the last 5 minutes if today's game.
Thankfully Newcastle came to the rescue and beat Ipswich so they are the third team to be relegated.
Potter needs to start a few different players maybe some of the youngster because the rest of the season doesn't matter anymore
1.) 26 Apr 2025 17:21:06
In fairness he should have been doing that for the last half a dozen matches, as it was obvious from way back the only reason we weren’t going down was because of the 3 that are. Wolves were also originally in that group but their manager change worked. The embarrassing fact is that if we had not scored 1 point since potter arrived we would still just be ahead of the bottom 3. But Ipswich have dropped 25 points from winning positions.
Guilherme should have been given 90 minutes.
2.) 26 Apr 2025 17:33:58
You throw away a game by bringing on Coufal at LB. Anyone thinking that is okay doesn’t deserve to be a premiership manager. Potter has run out of excuses, I don’t believe all the give him his own players excuses as it doesn’t wash. Look at the Wolves manager to see how it should be, they won again today. Can I have my money back on next years season ticket please Mr Sullivan?
3.) 26 Apr 2025 17:53:54
We could have had 6 points in the last 2 games if the players were professional enough to see out a game. can't blame Pitter for that ??♂️
4.) 26 Apr 2025 18:05:30
Sorry! Both games his substitutions have cost us in the last 2 games.
5.) 26 Apr 2025 18:31:21
Think Coufal wasn’t aware of his marker for goal 2 and Pacquetta didn’t shut down space for goal 3. Think we showed spirit. Attacking we looked good.
6.) 26 Apr 2025 18:42:59
What swapping a knackered defender for a fresh one, really? If we’re going to single people out if Mavropanos knew how to hit the target from a free header we’d have won one and drawn the other ??♂️ Players have to take accountability for 5 dropped points in the last 2 games . But you just hate Potter so won’t agree ….
7.) 26 Apr 2025 18:49:15
Can't be digging out Paqueta for that, pretty much the whole team were on the edge of the box, not one of them ran out to Baleba maybe bowen went too but far too late.
Paqueta had been pressing and aggressively closing down all game, maybe if he didn't have to make up for that sidewards and back passing cart horse he might have had some energy left to get out. Or maybe one for the 3cbs or soucek could have gone?! But no course dig out Paqueta
8.) 26 Apr 2025 19:21:43
Dabber,
A bit out of order mate. Nobody hates Potter. It’s just that some of us have recognised his shortcomings before others.
Tin.
9.) 26 Apr 2025 19:33:41
If he makes these sort of poor substitutions and starting line up choices. Why are some on here so confident to give him the say in what players he wants to bring in, in the transfer window. I can’t see how we can have any confidence in player target selection. Not that any player would want to come to us.
Most of us say we are lacking speed and creativity yet he chooses to start with slow and ponderous and bring another slow player on at the death.
I don’t know why Scarles wasn’t in the squad, I hope he hasn’t fallen out with the manager like Alvarez
10.) 26 Apr 2025 20:10:36
So for 86 minutes he got everything right but the substitution means it’s all his fault we lost the game? Tin what I’m saying is judge his short comings on a level playing field. We were sooo close to winning that game yet there are people on here that are so anti Potter they’d rather say he lost it because of the substitution rather than blame the players for poor game management.
11.) 26 Apr 2025 20:15:17
Hammer-D the whole squad is lacking speed! It’s a squad of players past their best mixed with those who don’t want to be there and a few good players …. but some of you think it’s all Potters fault. I’m starting to bore myself now ……
12.) 26 Apr 2025 20:37:55
It doesn’t matter if it’s on the level or a 3 in 1 hill. Potter clearly has no idea from any angle! His team selection is bloody awful. When it goes tits up as usual, he tries to rectify it with substitutions, but fails miserably. He’s clueless and his record shows it. And this is the bloke you want to trust with a major rebuild? The mind boggles.
13.) 26 Apr 2025 21:13:53
Dab I maybe shouldn’t be commenting because I didn’t actually see the game. I can only go from what I’m reading and what the starting line ups are. From what I have read on here and other sites it seems the first half was the usual slow start which improved vastly after half time when the took off the handbrake (JWP) by most accounts it was a reasonably enjoyable second half with JWP off and Fulkrug on. But then he removes a player at 86 minutes and then 2 goals are conceded he has to take responsibility for that as with last week going backs to the wall against Southampton. If it was the reverse he would have been credited. Either we kept the score the same or he brought on a player who scores. From the snippets I’ve heard it sounds like we were much better when given more free Rayne to attack. So why can he not work out that this is not only the best way to play but also often attack is the best form of defence.
Yes I have become more anti potter as time has gone on but am more dismayed that others find it so hard to understand. I feel the likes of the more anti potter brigade are only stating fact whereas the pro potters are basing everything on their hopes and dreams and don’t seem to see how illogical it is. If he wins the last 4 games of the season that could all change. But the lack of imagination he is setting us up with I can’t see that happening

19 Apr 2025 19:08:50
Absolutely dire today one of the worst performances I can remember and I've been a fan since 1963. The amount of back passes and incomplete passes was unbelievable. If Potter can't motivate this bunch we have serious problems next season
1.) 19 Apr 2025 19:24:37
I was so hopeful when he was appointed, sadly I have now got to say he isn’t the manager we need. Dreadful dire performance and his substitutions changed the game for the worse. With travel that’s another 7 hours of my life I won’t get back. After the last season under DM and the Loppy I didn’t think it could possibly get worse, but it has by a long way. That’s the last game I am attending this year, and I doubt my tickets will sell but I don’t care. Enough is enough!
2.) 19 Apr 2025 20:38:28
I think many of us felt the same Gerry. After such a nightmare with Loppy who nobody wanted. I didn’t particularly want potter, because I had heard he played boring football but was pleasantly surprised by his first game it was a decent performance and played the youth, followed by a dubious but gladly received win against Fulham. He instantly Improved team morale and seemed a decent fella, I think that gave GP some massive brownie points from many of us. There have been a few plus points but for me some of the football I have had to watch has been the worst I’ve seen. I have been hoping for a massive change in style but I feel the leopard can’t change its spots
3.) 19 Apr 2025 22:25:41
I'd rather have kept Loppy, potter is now going to waste millions sell our most talented players and 3 months into next year won't have done a thing, will be sacked and next season will be a dead rubber with another rebuild needed
14 Apr 2025 13:18:28
Looking at the posts after yesterday's game there appears to be a lot of negativity. I agree the first half we were largely out of the game but in the second half we came alive. On another day that would have been a great win. We hit the woodwork 3 times Mave went over from a header and Alison was outstanding I really consider Liverpool, and they generally are were lucky and their second goal should have been a free kick on Paqueta as he was pushed in the back - both hands but your never going to get that at A field. Oh and good to see you back Chelmsford
PS wonder what the odds were on Paqueta taking the ref out
01 Apr 2025 22:06:07
Well we huffed and puffed but in the end we just weren't good enough. The experiment with Ferguson and Guillermo just proves they aren't good enough
1.) 02 Apr 2025 14:33:29
Got zero service to them.
Guilherme didn't do anything wrong when he got the ball was one moment in the first half where he linked up well with Paq ran in behind but scarles over hit the pass.
2.) 03 Apr 2025 01:21:39
GUILHERME just CANNOT be judged on his minutes he's had on the pitch knowing when you come on your won't be playing in the next game and when you do get a start you are told to play a role you've never played before great bit of management skills POTTER you throw the lad under the bus fantastic coaching.COYI
17 Apr 2025 12:07:57
Agree Joyful on both Delap and Kelleher, particularly as Liverpool seem to be interested in Kudus. The keeper could be part payment and the remainder spent on Delap
03 Feb 2025 15:24:33
Thanks for clearing that up
03 Feb 2025 10:46:31
Hi joyful love most of your posts but you do give an air of ITK. Your posts remind me of the ones we used to get from IRONMIKE who I used to like too, but he got a bit argumentative. Are you one and the same person?
20 Oct 2024 09:41:41
I've said this in the past J Lo was the wrong choice. If we lose to Man Utd next week he should be gone. Od appoint Kevin Keen as a temp and get the team together which they aren't at the moment. Hate to bday it but we've been on the Slide since Rice went. Too many egos in the dressing room
29 Aug 2024 15:51:12
Joyful your posts remind me of Ironmike who used to post on here a few years ago he used to put up some good discussions keep up the rumours mate I enjoy them and let's face it the whole page is about rumours
08 Jun 2025 11:01:22
That was a typical England performance, of late, no thought, no energy no skill. Of course Bowen should have played but in the past nobody passes go him. He's the only one who. Can both get to the byline and put in a useful pass as well as cut inside. Whilst all the plays go through Bellingham you're going to have this problem
04 Jun 2025 12:14:07
I thought Sancho was still a Man U player on loan at Chelsea he's also on £300k a week so can't see him coming to West Ham
02 Jun 2025 18:07:35
The FA are disgrace and apgley named FA F*** All is what they do do. I believe this is a concerted effort on aggravating West Ham and the player. The whole matter is ridiculous if you consider the sums involved the fact that it requires the referred to give the booking and the player committing the foul. If FA don't want to have problems like this then ban bookmakers from taking these type of bets
24 May 2025 14:40:39
From what I read Bowen reorganised his wedding twice. And didn't get played. He's getting married so maybe he said thanks but no thanks.
21 May 2025 14:12:44
Well I renewed and got a two year deal - price locked for 3 years. It's my one extravagance and apart from when in hospital have done every home game for the last. 12 years. As a fan I reserve the right to praise or moan about West Ham as I see fit
