Claret and Hugh reporting that TS has been banned from Rush Green and the London Stadium dressing room it's all getting a bit handbags ain't it. Luv to see Will Still take over he's just left Rheims

Some are saying that it's Steidten's own choice to stay away, not that he's been banned. Whatever the truth, it now looks impossible for both Steidten and Moyes to stay at the same club. More evidence that Moyes is on his bike.

Philips done deal loan till June option to buy

mercerl

1.) 23 Jan 2024 17:49:51
So who does he replace? Soucek? That would give us midfield 3 of alvarez, ward prowse and Phillips.not bad but, we need full backs, a left winger cause benrahma is leaving and a striker!

2.) 23 Jan 2024 20:55:36
Moyes won't drop Soucek. It'll be the Steiden choice Alvarez who's for the chop.

3.) 23 Jan 2024 21:06:48
We don't really need a left winger, just play Cornet in his actual position. For all the pelters he gets from the fans, myself included the poor bloke's only ever been played once in his proper LW position in the PL.

4.) 25 Jan 2024 15:40:36
If we drop ALVAREZ then it's crazy as if your telling me he ain't better than SOUCEK then DD is totally lost the plot.⚒⚒⚒

5.) 26 Jan 2024 17:36:03
Personally i am very pleased with the Phillips loan deal. He is exactly the player we need alongside Alvarez AND he can fill in for Alvarez when missing. Currently we have nobody to replace Alvarez when he is missing (and it shows when he is gone), we all see Soucek and Prowse cannot do it, and this guy can do it as well as being Alvarez partner in CM. Can pick a great ball for counter attacks as well, which Souceck is not so great at. All round a VERY good bit of business, and the guys is such a nice character, a player we can really get behind and personally i hope he signs permanently, although £40m for a soon to be 29 year old is a lot!
Yes we still need a LM, ST and a backup LB. I like the look of this Osimen that we are linked with. let's be honest he will not start as Paqueta will be our LM for the forseable, but it gives Moyes options, which is why i actually think a LM is more important than a ST at the moment IMO

Talksport evidently reporting Trevor Chalobah from Chelsea for £25m

mercerl

1.) 24 Jan 2024 20:54:55
Would be a fantastic signing for us. Been a bit unlucky at Chelsea I reckon and he does have his fair share of admirers within the Chelsea fans ranks.

£25M is a very fair price and we should be all over it. We won't but we should be.

West Ham interested, supposing LY, in Plymouth attacking midfielder Morgan Whittaker 14 goals on 27 games isn't bad for championship

mercerl

1.) 19 Jan 2024 23:06:35
Well I hope he’s more Bowen than Hugill, but what do I know?

2.) 20 Jan 2024 15:53:32
West ham in every window are always interested in everybody. It's comical

3.) 26 Jan 2024 06:46:59
Then we actually get one dM who hasn't been playing regularly for a couple of years, and is now getting on a bit.

4.) 26 Feb 2024 11:28:59
A fouler whom ships goals, to boot.

29 Dec 2023 13:57:47
West Ham have offered David Moyes a 2 year extension to his contract that's going to be interesting

mercerl

1.) 30 Dec 2023 23:03:53
Not quite true. Negotiations over a new contract have not yet taken place. They are due to take place early in January. Rumour has it that the new contract will be unlike his current agreement in that it will contain performance clauses which will enable the club to fire him without financial loss if results drop off. Performance indicators are common in German contracts. Also, Moyes will have to agree to having no say in transfers. If he wants to stay at WHU, he’ll have to agree to these terms.

2.) 31 Dec 2023 22:57:33
While I was furious with the lineup for the Carabao Cup and I hate it when we are camped in our own box. The games against Man Utd and Arsenal were good team efforts and felt a bit more positive. Beat Brighton on Tuesday and perhaps were the real deal.

Have been on the fence for a while about Moyes but 2023 has been a successful year for WHUFC so I think Moyes can stay. 6/7 years ago we had maybe 8/11 of a team (remember Roberto) . Now we have about 14/11. The change started with Zouma. Clear some journeymen by summer.

Buy 2 or 3 more class players and play the kids a bit more from the bench (hard for Moyes) but the team are united and with a couple more Tim purchase we build good depth. We need this now as Europe should happen more often.

Saudi money for Aguerd would be good and we need Ings’s wages off the books. I’d keep Benrahma for now but put JWP on pens. Cresswell, Fornals, Ings, Johnson and Aguerd in January and perhaps Antonio /Kehrer in the Summer.

Happy new year to you and yours ??⚒️

3.) 01 Jan 2024 22:56:16
Kib with what u write is ok but i still don't think Moyes is who we need yes on paper he looks the real deal but if u watch WH our brand
of football has been terrible, we got results but WH are in the entertanment business and let's be frank some of our victories have been rubbish and very lucky. i'm glad to see if he gets a new contract he has no say on who is purchased yes he can recommend and perhaps this is the way to go

4.) 02 Jan 2024 22:47:11
Before all the blinkered “Moyes fans” start towelling Desperate Dave’s feet after his walk on water, I still think we’ll have a different decent manager next season. No way is DD going to agree to the terms the poison dwarf will offer him. I think Steidten has already identified his replacement and he will be in the chair next season. We’ll see.

5.) 05 Jan 2024 16:07:16
If those contract talks regarding performance related results and no dealings in transfers then I cannot see DD accepting those terms as he's a control freak just like SULLY so imo this is a polite way of saying thanks for your services well I hope and pray it is.⚒⚒⚒

It's interesting to read all the rumours about incoming players but of course till they've signed and got the shirt on that's all they are rumours personally I'm more interested in seeing which of the u21s will come through. Hoping players like Marshall and Earthly can get regular first team games and had totally forgotten Irving who looks promising hers hoping for a good season

mercerl

1.) 23 Jul 2024 15:18:31
Definitely. I do hope he brings some youth through gradually

2.) 23 Jul 2024 16:03:10
What is encouraging is that the over inflated values put on players by teams is now starting to come down and be more realistic. Is this what TS is waiting for I wonder?

3.) 23 Jul 2024 18:45:43
Earthy looks made for the PL. He seems to have time on the ball and his movement is excellent.

4.) 24 Jul 2024 18:14:06
The way things are going he is going to have no alternative but to use youth

5.) 25 Jul 2024 14:57:02
Oshee we ain't skint. Stop believing that nonsense.

04 Jul 2024 17:12:33
Really pleased about Kilman as apart from being a good player he was a player with my local team Maidenhead united (National league) managed by Alan Devonshire and they have a sell on clause

mercerl

1.) 05 Jul 2024 08:10:46
20% I think. That'll keeo Maidenhead going for 3 years.

2.) 05 Jul 2024 09:04:59
Probably pay for the new stadium lol

So the A******** at MOTD can't be bothered to even mention today's Kudus goal surely one of the goals of the season just shows them up for their impartiality

1.) 20 May 2024 23:36:19
Sky were very complimentary, especially in context of City mania already decided upon.

19 May 2024 18:09:48
Congratulations to Man City and goodbye to David Moyes I guess I would sum up David Moyes tactics today as a capitulation. Roll on the 17th August onwards and upwards

mercerl

1.) 20 May 2024 23:37:30
There wasn't really a recognised scary forward to bring on. And minus VAR it could have ended up 2-2.

Morning Chelmsford Hrs actually English by birth (to English parents) although brought up in Belgium he's very young at 31 and a lifelong Hammers supporter He speaks multiple languages and has been known to change language multiple times in team talks. Achieved an incredible 14 win run with Rheims and established them over the last two years

Whitby nice to see you back on here agree with you on virtually everything. Still feel Moyes let us down particularly the way he set up against the so called big 6 teams I always felt he gave them too much respect and watching the team unable to to do anything against teams like Palace Fulham and the 6-0 home loss to Arsenal was really bad. Yes he gave us a trophy but I honestly felt anyone could have done the same
