I see West ham were placed 3rd in the average attendance figure for this Season following Man Utd and Arsenal.

I do wish they would stop calling it Attendance as we all know its based on ticket Sales including Season Ticket holders who don't show up

What do you guys think?

Great effort by the club on Saturday with the christening of the Billy Bonds stand I got choked watching Billy het choked with the emotion of you know what I mean.

Great to see so many ex players turn up as well and what a cheer for Ludo the loudest of the lot after Billy of course

799 appearances - would love to think Rice might beat record - well I can dream can't I?

Hi Mercerl

Agreed everything you said including you can dream bit :)

If young Dec stayed at the club for the rest of his career and say he played an average of 32 Prem games a season ( that's a push with injury and suspension) and a average of 6 FA and League Cup combined, that would total 38 games per season, if you wanted to throw for argument sake a extra 5 for Europe in the future at a max he plays 44 games a season, ( That is far to many on average but let's just say)

He would need to play at the club for around 18 seasons taking him up to 38 to hit even 792 games, the above figures are really pushing it so it would be a case he needs to play until his 40 plus minimum.

Its not going to happen, and i'm so bored at work I just thought i'd mention it :)

2.) 05 Mar 2019 11:43:48
Well done Warrington amazing isn't it Billy achieved the 799 when he was 40 having had a complete season out - now get with your work before the boss turns up lol.

Seen reports today WHU interested in possibly signing Anthonio Valencia if Zab decides retire been a great player for Manc Utd but he's nearly as old as Zab

What do you guys think.

1.) 18 Feb 2019 18:18:11
No thanks.

We do not need to invest silly wages on very short term, diminishing players.

2.) 18 Feb 2019 18:18:39
No thanks👎👎.

3.) 19 Feb 2019 02:55:52
At this time there’s nothing of substance to make comment on IRONMIKE.

4.) 19 Feb 2019 15:48:54
There's nothing wrong with having experienced players in the squad (Zaba has been brilliant)

Fredericks doesn't look like he is 100% up to PL standard yet but I think he'll get there

So an experienced option seems like a decent plan when we don't need to splash a lot of cash on a player in that position.

Looking at the various re runs of yesterday's game and in particular the first goal some observation

1 Diop did really well to get back and put the block in unlucky it rebounded straight to Wilson
2 wilsons shot was outstanding
3 Ogbonna turned his back on the shot poor attitude can't imagine that Ginge or even Reed would have done that

Conclusion we need Balbuenna or even Reed back ASAP and we probably need to sign Wilson to stop him scoring against us in future.

mercerl

1.) 21 Jan 2019 08:50:10
It was undeniably a great strike, but I don’t think Wilson is the answer for us.

Gomez for me please and the buzz is we’ve upped our interest in him.

I’m always disappointed and frustrated if we lose a game we should be more competitive in, but we have to remember that we have a ludicrous injury list.

If our entire squad was fully fit, how many of Saturday’s starters wouldn’t have made the team?

2.) 21 Jan 2019 10:33:34
About right Markro, that team was no where near our best.
I have wondered for a few years if maybe our training ground is to blame for all the injuries?

Sad performance today sadly shows how much we would miss Arnie have to agree with others on here that Carroll not good enough any more and Hernandez added nothing when he came on

Time to start some more of the youngsters next week against Wimbledon including Costa Silva and maybe Arnie as well rather than making him sit at home.

Congrats To Man City snd the 4 English Teams competing for European trophies

Congrats to the West Ham team for a great run in to the end of the Season 3 wins 2 clean sheets 8 goals for 1 against and a top 10 finish

Thought Antonio was man of the match today bit must give huge shout to Mark Noble who has been outstanding in the last few games

Next season we must be challenging for Europe and with VAR we might get a few more points

FREDERICK'S was my MOTM what a tackle in the second half when he had the nouse to come off his wing and the man he was marking to come flying across our box and take it right off of sons boot who was about to smash it into our net and he made more than half a dozen great tackles and is starting to show he can become our R/ B for many a year he needs to be told that, not in for one game and out for the next I understand sometimes it's tactical but pablos another year older and slower so next season FREDDIE should be given the R/ B birth for himself. COYI.

Etched the end of the woman's semi final hadn't realised it was on the red button and I might to Wembley tickets are good Vale and kids free but guess what it's on 4th May same day as our last home game zwell done the FA great planning why not have all Wembley games after the end of the season.

13 Apr 2019 19:26:11
That's another 3 points lost due to incompetent officials How is it the so called top 6 get away with it time and again.

12 Apr 2019 18:30:20
So against Man Utd what we all thinking?

I would like to see us start with a back three - Diop/ Balbuenna and Ogbonna with Cresswell and Fredericks behind Anderson (or Arthur) on the left Antonio on the right Declan in front of the defence with Noble or Snoddy as the engine Lanzini just behind Arnie Fabianski of course goes without saying

I think that's 11 I'd be interested in your 11.

mercerl

1.) 12 Apr 2019 20:49:38
3-5-2 sounds good. If available I’d go with: Fab, Ogbonna, Balbuena, Diop, Fredericks, Creswell, Noble, Snods, Rice, Anderson, Antonio. Think Arnie n Lanzini look off the pace.

2.) 13 Apr 2019 08:51:57
Agree with both selections apart from Arnie, to bloody lazy and full of himself for an underachiever, wouldn’t have bee.

3.) 13 Apr 2019 09:00:08
Post went off to quickly twice so won’t bother again🤣🤣.

There was a lot of talk about Trippier joining us a few years back before he became a regular first team spud I seem to remember he being seen in a few hostelleries with a few of our lads.

Again - every time we get anywhere near 7th or even 8th we way absolute garbage 4 defenders stood and watched the first goal and Frederick's forgot he was supposed to to move up the pitch for the second

How come every week it's Rice who looks anything at all at least he hit the post

Ah well Maidenhead won.

Mistley it's all dependant on Gsb agreeing to taking Messi on loan. I've heard he wants to play for West Ham for nothing but dependant on Carroll staying as his strike partner lol.

Don't understand the hype around Mitrovitch his stats are pretty poor

In the season just ended he scored 11 PL goals 3 of which were penalties so 8 goals from open play from 214 shots of which 80 were on target so it means the GKS he faced saved ust over 6 out of 7 hardly inspiring is it.

Well said Bideford I can only applaud the fact that there are 4 English Teams in th 2 European Finals and the fact that there is a huge diversity of Nationalities from around the world just SHOWS the changes in English Football

WEST HAM UNITED remain the one and only English club to have won a major European trophy with a team of Englishmen (1967 "Cup Winners Cup in case you weren't sure) and I suspect that it will remain that WAY

Morning Glen would add to those Josh Cullen and Marcus. Brown as well as Grady Diangana getting a bit more involved and I also think with Adrian likely to go then Nathan Trott could be number 2

Of all of them I was very impressed with Ben Johnson to get your debut against Man City and not be overawed was v impressove.
