It seems we are in for a Colombian striker called Jhon Arias. Says on C&H signing imminent and should sign for around £11 Million in the next few days.
It seems slightly different to the usual rumour this seems more certain

This kid Jhon Arias is some player. Very very highly rated Colombian. The team next season will have a very exciting look to it if this continues

Now that the dust has settled on DMs departure and the amazement from most pundits that many of our fans wanted him to go, will we expect two of his greatest admirers messers Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton to be launching campaigns for DM to be installed as manager of their favourite premier league clubs. As it is quite possible Savages Man united may be looking for a new manager and Sutton's Chelsea are now manager less.

With all the upcoming transfer of players in and out shenanigans about to start. One set of positions that could see a complete overhaul is central defence. Angelo and Aguerd seem to be on their way the Greek fella will probably stay but nobody ever mentions Zouma. IMHO he has been dreadful this season and every time I have watched him over the last couple of seasons, when he starts to run or even walk it looks like his right knee is about to implode. Do people think Zouma will still be there in August?

Hammer-D, Zouma was crocked when we bought him! He looks dreadful when he moves around, just wish Areola wouldn’t roll the ball to him inside or outside the area with opposition breathing down his neck, but season over now fortunately so not much to gain and nothing to lose!
New Coach/ Manager must replace him along with as many others as the budget allows?

I think it’s difficult to go from the ‘dads army’ the last manager to the busby babes in one window. But I do take your point it is a shame the Duran deal couldn’t be got over the line and some good young defenders would be a must

Totally agree. i'm hardly a hard nosed negotiator but a situation like this where you are miles apart you just walk away and look at others. The law of ‘treat them mean, keep them keen’ then kicks in and the seller may see sense. Or from the other prospective if you really think this guy is the real deal then pay more than you may have been prepared to. Although having said all that a sell on clause of 40% or even 20% is ridiculous so maybe just walk away and persue others…

Regarding replacement for Downs, What about the Scottish fella Andy Irvine that played against the Hungarian champions yesterday? Difficult to read too much into that game but he seemed decent and his pass rate and ability seemed good.

Yep totally agree, spot on. As time went by It seemed to be getting worse and worse like they were being told to sit deeper and deeper. Yeah was funny to see how people like Sutton couldn’t say enough good stuff about David Moyes and how we were all just unrealistic and ungrateful so and so’s, yet when Chelsea and even lowly Norwich ditched their managers, he didn’t seem to be clamouring for DM to be installed.

Hi O’Shea yeah you were right it is a good piece I didn’t realise these agents had so much sway along with our leader Del Boy/Arthur Daley!
Quite depressing, the only small possible crumb of hope may be that the usual happens where the wheeler dealing obviously fails and then we have to get players so we end up paying more (hopefully for the players we were after) than we would have 6 weeks previous. I think it was Einstein who said something like ‘repeating the same thing over and over again with the same result is the first sign of madness’ I dare say it will be repeated in 12 months time………….
