Gimenez rumours surfacing.

Great finisher, good pace and physical presence, threat in the air and, most importantly is in the right place at the right time.

Yes, please.

{Ed002's Note - Santiago Gimenez (S) Having another good season at Feyenoord and attracting interest of Chelsea, Lille, Spurs, Real Madrid, Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt. He has become the first choice Harry Kane replacement for Spurs after they lost out on their preferred option in the summer but not first choice for Chelsea or Real Madrid - although don't discount either. Spurs have an advantage that Feyenoord are interested in a Spurs player, Barcelona may offer a wildcard option following a discussion between Deco and someone they are trying to recruit. Others, such as Marseille, Crystal Palace and West Ham can be discounted. Lille and Eintracht Frankfurt would only be viable if they make significant sales and others drop out. Cost could be pretty high - they will look for perhaps €55M - ending interest of most of these clubs. Don't totally discount Napoli.}

1.) 12 Jan 2024 11:36:30
Thx for the update. Ah, well.

{Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely I am afraid.

A few potential options to consider:
Armando Broja (S) Torino, Besiktas, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Milan, West Ham and Napoli remain keen. Brighton may offer another option to keep him in the Premier League. Cheslea do not wish to loan the player and will look to discussions before the summer but have discussed a part exchange with Benfica. A January move is unlikely.
Vangelis Pavlidis (S) AZ will not want to sell but are aware Fulham and Eintracht Frankfurt have been scouting the player regularly. West Ham and Marseille looked at the player before Christmas but have taken it no further.
Akor Adams (S) Only moved from Norway to Montpelier this summer but already of interest to Napoli - probably as cover. Fulham see him as an option to Timo Werner and West Ham may offer a wildcard solution. Not one for a January move.
Hugo Ekitike (F) Versatile forward that Eintracht Frankfurt have identified as a potential replacement for summer departure Randal Kolo Muani after failing with Ngankam, but they may look first to Rafiu Durosinmi. This season has been dire and he is nowhere close to the first team, and quite rightly. Atalanta, Lens and Everton interest has likely gone. West Ham in looking for a Scamacca replacement had made an offer in the summer and I expect West Ham to sound out his "representative", and I use the word in the loosest of meanings, and depending what they are told, perhaps approach PSG in January. Wolves have asked his representative if he would be open to a move but have yet, as I understand, taken the opportunity to approach PSG. Wolfsburg have spoken directly with PSG about the player. Wildcard could be Crystal Palace but they likely have preferred options and he is asking for significant wages - so a loan to buy will likely be discussed. Could be a huge mistake by any club looking to him with form gone completely.
Borja Mayoral (S) Attracting attention from London with Fulham, Arsenal and West Ham declaring an interest.Giovanni Simeone (F) Napoli will listen to offers for a fringe player whose goals have dried up. West Ham have a long-term interest but he would have to be matched with a Centre Forward due to his size.}

2.) 12 Jan 2024 15:16:01
Thx for all your input, Ed 0002.

3.) 12 Jan 2024 15:17:09
Oops! Gave you one too many zeros there, Ed! Sorry.

04 Jan 2024 08:25:53
Kehrer deal done with Monaco. Loan with obligation to buy.

1.) 04 Jan 2024 19:12:30
Ings + cash for Kilman would be a reasonable deal to for Ogbonna cover

2.) 05 Jan 2024 08:11:45
Not posted for a while, but thought I'd throw something out there.

Wolves were close to signing Cresswell in the Summer, only for it to fail as we didn't have sufficient cover at left back.

I'd be tempted to offer Cresswell AND Ings for Kilman.

Kilman is a left sided central defender and has played left back in his career. Given that Emerson is CLEARLY our number one left back at the moment, we only need left back cover.

So to let Cresswell and Ings go in exchange, would get two higher earners off the books, two older players off the books, and would give us a 26 year old centre back that can also play left back.

You could argue that he isn't naturally good enough at left back, but you'd of said the same about Dan Burn before he was shifted out their to cover as well.

3.) 05 Jan 2024 10:00:51
And let’s not forget Benrahma who is high on O’Neil’s high regard list. The Wolves manager had admitted FFP rules dictate they must sell before buying. Ings, Cresswell, and even Benrahma could be offered in exchange to tempt Wolves.

4.) 05 Jan 2024 16:03:09
We won't get KILMAN for INGS+CRESSWELL as we would have to pay about £10-15 mill on top of those 2 for KILMAN who I rate highly but I think TAH could be WHUFC bound due to STEIDTEN and apparently DD is a fan.⚒⚒⚒

5.) 17 Jan 2024 18:38:08
i would let Ings go for free just get him off the books. Moyes i read likes INGS but he is too slow for the premiership and I've never seen hin have a decent game for WH
Cresswell has been good for WH but needs to find another club and i wish him weLL

6.) 23 Jan 2024 18:43:50
I thought INGS in the no10 role suited he's been crying out to either play with help up top or just behind the front man DEVON JOHN and I think he was our most influential offensive player against SHEFFIELD UTD by a mile I've been INGS biggest critic but you don't turn into a bad player at his age the pace normally starts to decrease as you get older, but he's never really had blistering pace but an eye for a goal he's always had, if he got his goal and a run in the team not up top on his own then you would see the real INGS, just the difference is his hair suddenly growing? no all jokes aside he desperately needs a goal.⚒⚒⚒

05 Dec 2023 18:14:54
We’ve triggered our one year option for Fornals.

1.) 06 Dec 2023 06:57:15
It’s only in order to gain as much as possible in his sale. Rumour has it this move has placed a valuation of between £8 million to £12 million.

29 Nov 2023 16:09:09
I think Ekiteke is now a real possibility. Either a loan, or a buy outright if we can offload to raise the 30m + add-ons.

1.) 01 Dec 2023 08:04:23
To be truthful, I don;t think any striker is going to work under the MOYES system. Look at Danny Ings as the latest example. MOYEs likes big physical strikers that can run the channels whereas INGS is a technical, fox in the box player. Buying Ings was never going to work because he doesn't fit the MOYES system, so a waste of £13m and extremely poor recruitment. I've watched us play some poor football over the years but that performance last night was a schocker! A number of fringe players, who MOYES selected by the way, had a chance last night and its was disgraceful. Kehrer, Johnson, Cresswell (Oddly all defenders) and then Fornals, benrahma, Ings to name but a few. If they are not gone, along with MOYES in January or at the latest summer then its bordering on a criminal way to run a professoinal football team. I was ashamed to watch that last night

2.) 01 Dec 2023 14:09:07
That's a bit harsh on Kehrer. He only got a few minutes - and how Johnson was played ahead of him is a mystery.

17 Nov 2023 17:23:23
More Ekitike noise starting.

Could be an excellent option.

1.) 19 Nov 2023 20:56:31
Ings to leave in Jan and we are very interested in jonathan david and santiago gimenez

2.) 19 Nov 2023 22:16:51
Whilst among others that’s true BUT are they interested in us ? it appears not. At the moment

3.) 20 Nov 2023 13:04:05
Antonio could be out for up to 9 months. Ings could be sold In January so its looking like FAB up front unless of course MOYES is going to lace his boots up.

4.) 20 Nov 2023 16:01:44
It was obvious to all of us EXCEPT Moyes that this was going to happen not an IF only WHEN , personally I think it unlikely that Mubama is up to the job at this level disgraceful really hope this dosnt put us in trouble

5.) 20 Nov 2023 19:39:27
West ham linked with 7 strikers in the last 48 hours. Seemingly Tim has 3 or 4 man shortlist but Moyes wants to check out at least 15 more before he decides on Anthony Marcial and Greenwood from Man utd

6.) 20 Nov 2023 20:23:53
Andy Carroll might be available.

7.) 21 Nov 2023 00:53:34
We’d be better off with Andy Williams. ?

8.) 21 Nov 2023 07:27:45
Wise men say only fools rush in.

9.) 21 Nov 2023 14:29:41
Mmpr showing your age lol Carlton Cole has offered to come out of retirement which Moyes is considering

10.) 22 Nov 2023 14:24:16
Yes, but can he sing?

11.) 22 Nov 2023 19:08:16
I do agree with most of the above but let's look at the realy problem which stats at the top, our style of fooball is terrible which is down to the Manager, I've been supporting thee Irons for 70years and the style of football we are turning out is total rubbish, Benrahma was exciteing young player Now all he is a shadow of himself the skill has been replace by the fearfactor Just look how many our backroom staff has left which i beleave started with SPeace and untill we get rid of DM we will always struggle ITS TIME FOR HIM TO GO.
Ive seen good and bad teams at WH but the type of football we are playing now is worse the BI SAM and that was bad

12.) 22 Nov 2023 19:43:39
Agreed Devon and so many out there agree, problem is, we don't run the club. We can and all have seen the problems for some time and yet nothing has been done

13.) 24 Nov 2023 10:46:50
Didn't Carlton Cole DJ? Re "can he sing", arguably maybe musical

I have been following West Ham for a very long time and have seen some very poor performances at times over the years.

I have never seen a West Ham side so disinterested.

We all know where the responsibility lies.

Get rid of Moyse now and ask Nolan to front the rest of the season whilst Steidten sorts out our next manager.

1.) 11 Feb 2024 15:53:30
Sullivan will, as always give him two more games and so it goes on and on!

2.) 11 Feb 2024 16:12:09
Get noble in for now . See how he does and then I'd approach Thomas Frank personally

3.) 11 Feb 2024 16:54:46
I don’t think Sully will move to sack Moyes this season.
The heat will get to much for Moyes to take another contract if presented to him. I know there any man who will disagree with that, but I believe he will call time.
A lot of the way WH conduct business is down to Sully. And this will not change regardless of the manager. Sully keeping dead wood on the payroll hoping they will come good to sell on for a better return. Not actioning deals early in the window.
The list goes on, DOF will have his work cut out trying to improve the way WH move forward.

4.) 11 Feb 2024 17:03:15
Agreed its all sullivan and all he cares about is the money not the club or the fans

5.) 11 Feb 2024 22:27:29
Spot on oshee it is all about money SULLY has no interest in west ham just money⚒⚒⚒

6.) 11 Feb 2024 22:31:09
I said we will drop off a cliff in the league now and it's happening.⚒⚒⚒

02 Feb 2024 19:44:48
Well that’s Benrahma and Fornals gone, with Phillips in.

Our first team squad (which should be 25) includes four players we have loaned out.

We are very thinly spread. Any injuries to our top players will not bode well.

1.) 02 Feb 2024 21:28:19
Oh u know exactly what’s going to happen mmpr those will be where we get stretched the most so let’s hope the some of the youngsters come gd

2.) 03 Feb 2024 11:20:17
So our bench is now teenagers and tumbleweed.

3.) 03 Feb 2024 12:45:45
If we get injuries, then Moyes will have no choice but to play some of the youngsters. Trouble is, the likes of Marshall (one of our brightest prospects) have been sent out on loan!

4.) 03 Feb 2024 13:12:09
Dont want Moyes anywhere near them he will destroy their confidence and flair. Time for a new Manager.

5.) 04 Feb 2024 12:05:30
How long do you reckon before we're having to start Cresswell at CB?

6.) 04 Feb 2024 16:08:59
Funny that UTD have given an 18 year old academy graduate a chance in MANIOO but DD will not start with youngsters or play them take a leaf out of a proper manager like KLOPP who gives youngsters a go and I ain't buying our youngsters ain't good enough as they are winning things at U-23 Level.⚒⚒⚒

02 Feb 2024 07:55:44
If the rumours about Steidten and Liverpool have any legs, last night’s debacle with the Benrahma fiasco, might well swing it. Which reputable transfer expert would want to be associated with that?

02 Feb 2024 06:30:15
We couldn’t even get the Benrahma transfer to Lyon right. Pathetic.

On the other hand, Phillips first assist.

1.) 02 Feb 2024 06:42:40
Unbelievable. What sort of message does this send to other players and the rest of the footballing community? Disgraceful. This has got Sullivan’s fingerprints all over it. A joke, and he’s all ours.

2.) 02 Feb 2024 07:01:25
We are fast becoming the disgrace of european football and before long, teams will no longer want to conduct business with us. The board and MOYES are a joke and I am done with this club whilst they are in charge. Bye guys n gals

3.) 02 Feb 2024 07:43:22
A lot of very angry fans out there all due to the behaviour of a few useless men. Lyon are furious with us over this paperwork issue and I'm telling you all, this was deliberate by our people. Either we couldn't get players in so we messed paperwork up on purpose, or, moyes hatched this little plan just to keep benrahma. Its shocking behaviour from a PROFESSIONAL football club and a lot of very disgruntled fans of ours out there. Why do we bother having a director of football that isn't listened to? How is this club run so badly and how have WE let it get this way? But it's OK, as long as they keep selling season tickets, everything is fine! Well wake up everybody, it's NOT! don't let our league position and European efforts hide the truth. We've had more than our fair share of luck and sooner or later it will all come crashing down

4.) 02 Feb 2024 07:52:01
It’s certainly put every other club on notice not to contemplate business with us in the last week of any window, if at all.

I’m reading that there’s also doubt whether the Fornals/Betis deal was completed.

Wide boy Sullivan is either cackling with glee, or furious about the egg on his face. Who knows?

Comedy club.

5.) 02 Feb 2024 10:23:54
Yeah agreed Mmpr. I think Moyes was the main reason for our lack of transfer activity because the board don’t in fact plan to offer him a new deal at the end of the season, so didn’t want to give him any funds when he’ll be leaving the London Stadium in just a few month’s time.

That’s only my theory and although we have no inside knowledge of what’s actually going on at the club, considering how much we were crying out for at least a couple of new signings, it has to be the only explanation. It's a ridiculous way of behaving but it's the actions our board associated with

26 Jan 2024 10:38:03
Two things concern me about the Osman transfer speculation.

1. Moyse takes an age to bed none PL players in.

2. Moyse is reluctant to play youngsters.

Apart from that he looks a decent investment.

1.) 26 Jan 2024 17:01:14
If Moyes wants a new contract he's going to have to play ball and adapt.

Its said that a new contract will have KPIs which will involve youth similar to what Frank has at Brentford and a lot of German clubs are using, something no doubt is familiar to stiedten.

2.) 26 Jan 2024 18:23:10
Too true Al. That’s exactly what some of us were saying a few weeks back. I said (and still believe) Desperate Dave will not accept performance indicators as his stubborn attitude prevents him from adapting, and that’s why he won’t be at WHU next season, regardless of results now.

3.) 26 Jan 2024 20:05:11
he's going to have to take it, he knows he's not going to get another job as big as west ham. The kpis could make it easier for us to get rid with smaller compensation as well.

4.) 27 Jan 2024 01:06:39
I have a feeling that Crystal Palace might provide the solution. Roy Charisma can't go on much longer and the club might suggest the end of this season might be an opportune moment for retirement. Desperate Dave would be right up their street and they'd probably give him control as a manager and not a coach. I think he'd take that. Watch this space.

It’s a frustration thing, Ed001.

I wonder how many others who post here, look forward to West Ham’s next game (in hope), get depressed watching it and pray for an early final whistle if we’re hanging on to a draw, or somehow fluking a win. Always wanting to see something and then, nine times out of ten, wanting it to be over as quickly as possible wears you down.

For me Moyse does not prepare the side to win, he tries to prepare it not to lose.

We have several outstanding players who would walk into any other side’s starting XI, yet we do not play exciting/entertaining football.

Being a West Ham fan should not be the exercise in self-flagelation it has become under Moyse. Yet we continue.

{Ed001's Note - I have to say I do not understand why Moyes is still there, he is not very West Ham. I grew up with the Hammers always being one you want to watch as a neutral, because they would always be entertaining. Moyes does not get it and does not fit. But the biggest issue at the club is Sullivan imo.}
