Please tell me we are not looking at signing Timo Werner he is not good enough for the premier league failed at both clubs he has played for so far. Hopefully more poor journalism.

Corbyhammer

1.) 09 May 2025 09:52:12
Werner being offered all over, Leipzig don’t want him back for last year of his contract, WH are in need of many players, taking Timo Werner would be an act of desperation, hope we havnt reached Rock bottom yet, taking him will tell you we have

Yesterday was the worst performance I have ever seen by a West Ham team and I have seen many bad games over the years.

I don’t care who is the manager at present they would all struggle to get a tune out of this lot. Whoever was involved with recruitment last summer should hang their heads in shame.

Yesterday as normal our back four had the most touches during the game enough said.
We didn’t press, create chances and some of the substitutions were mind boggling.

The hardest thing in the summer is moving some of these players on, anyone on loan should be sent back to their parent club not good enough at this level.

PS let’s cut out the snipping at each other thought we all supported the same team!

Totally agree with final sentence, it’s impossible for everybody to agree on all comments, but we are all supporters, we may come from different areas, different walks of life, and have different aspirations, but we are bound together by the club we support, WH are a sleeping giant, it is estimated, that in the Uk alone we have 200, 000 fans, that is as many if not more than any other London club, so we will come again, maybe, not now, but fortune, will not always be hiding, keep cool, we will come again,

2.) 20 Apr 2025 12:00:04
Corby and Joyful, your last 2 posts are by far the most sensible things anybody has said on here for a long time ….well said ????

3.) 20 Apr 2025 12:34:49
BRAVO you guys. Let's stop the panic mode

Having been at the game yesterday we need to have a good look at getting the Ipswich left back David in January. He looked a good solid player

Corbyhammer

{Ed002's Note - MOTD Fever strikes.}

1.) 08 Oct 2024 18:53:59
WH were in talks with Ipswich last June, when Cresswell, was let go as a free, problem being, there just was insufficient funds, to buy every position needed, so choices had to be made Leif Davis transfer possibility was cut short, and Cresswell was given another year at his original wage to save a transfer fee for the Lb position, it will be a different story, when Cresswell leaves next June, and it would not come as a suprise, if WH return for this player

17 Aug 2024 19:28:47
Well he picked the wrong starting 11. Too much of last season in that display. Now for the new blood. But best team won.

Corbyhammer

1.) 17 Aug 2024 22:52:16
The first half up to the equaliser wasn’t great. Areola should have done better on their first goal, he should have dealt with it before the header. After the penalty we were much much better. Kudus was amazing, Summerville refreshing and Kilman looked solid. Mavrapanos also looked much more assured. I agree that moving forward Coufal and Antonio will be bench warmers as neither 100% suit the new style of higher and more intense press. Todibo looked good. Early days and can’t be judged on 1 game but we definitely need another forward as Fulkrug may need time to settle. All in all although the result was disappointing it was much more entertaining and I think we’ll have a good season

2.) 18 Aug 2024 06:45:46
I must admit I was disappointed when I saw the starting line-up. However, JLop must have had his reasons for those selections. As said, it’s early days, but it’s obvious Antonio is finished, Soucek is a headless chicken with no passing ability, Coufal is at best a back up player, and JWP contributes nothing. I still have faith that JLop will come good, but we still need a decent second striker and a creative midfielder for depth in the squad. Yesterday, both Paqueta and Bowen had ‘off days’.

3.) 18 Aug 2024 16:12:25
By all accounts, the Duran deal is still there to be had. If so, we should get it done. Sullivan’s habit of reverting to his used car salesman persona has cost him and the club the opportunity to get an obviously talented young player. If there is the slightest chance that we can still get him, then IMO we should. Apparently, some are saying Ings is the problem. I say to the hierarchy, ‘please get shot of Ings and pull out every stop to get Duran. There’s an obvious reason why he was our top target.’ Ings, Soucek, Antonio, JWP - we should be pushing them towards the exit - if we haven’t already.

4.) 19 Aug 2024 02:08:44
JWP played well when he came on and Ings was our best forward of the 3 who played. We can’t get rid of too many. Zouma is the one we need to lose.

5.) 19 Aug 2024 03:14:48
JWP contributed absolutely nothing as usual, Ings is a wages black hole, Soucek is a headless chicken who can’t pass a ball, and Antonio is obviously past it. Zouma is already halfway through the door. Surely you’re not suggesting we should keep these and not go for players of Duran’s ability?

6.) 19 Aug 2024 11:41:51
Unfortunately it doesn't really matter whether we want to keep them or not we have been trying to shift players all summer but due to ridiculous contracts no one wants them

7.) 19 Aug 2024 20:00:37
Then that’s called negotiation. Any contract terms can be negotiated.

8.) 20 Aug 2024 11:23:29
Well yeah the contracts are a big problem but the real crux of the problem is the players we're trying to offload, let's face it, ain't actually very good.

08 Aug 2023 16:39:22
Please tell me that the Solanke rumour is just poor journalism! He is shocking and in the Hugill mould.

1.) 08 Aug 2023 18:17:41
Another little gem for ya, whilst we faff about chasing Moyes has been defender from Man Utd, Nottingham Forest are now chasing the signature of YOUSSOUF FOFANA.

2.) 08 Aug 2023 19:37:41
If FOREST get FOFANA then I think it could be another case of IF ONLY, when we were apparently close to signing KANTE and he joined LEICESTER instead look how he turned out, I actually rate FOFANA higher than ALVAREZ to be honest but why we ain't all over him rather than if true MCTOMINAY they are poles apart imo, MCTOMINAY isn't on the same level as FOFANA and without trying to sound anti Scottish i think it's got something to do with MOYES liking MCTOMINAY but let's see what actually comes of this window.⚒⚒⚒

3.) 08 Aug 2023 20:24:46
Is there any truth in the apparent interest in Brazilian striker from FLAMENGO'S PEDRO GUILHERME thanks Ed⚒⚒⚒

4.) 08 Aug 2023 21:56:32
Sorry but Moyes needs to go now before he causes us some serious issues, Maguire is a shocking buy, and mctominay isn’t much better. He should not be spending the money have, new gaffer new signings.

5.) 09 Aug 2023 09:07:54
If you get the box to box Rambo-type McTominay who busts a gut for Scotland, you’ll be getting a very good player, particular if Alvarez behind him.

6.) 10 Aug 2023 07:56:20
Re Yunus, we'll more likely end up with my mum's mate Eunice - who could btw manage us better.

7.) 10 Aug 2023 08:06:49
26 year old "prospect" but we need someone not on their Zimmer frame quite yet. Put another bid in.

That has to be the worst refereeing display I have seen for a long time. We didn’t start until the last 15 mins. We have to be the slowest team in league.

Corbyhammer

1.) 18 May 2025 19:22:53
We started when he took those carthorses off in midfield to be honest

11 May 2025 16:26:22
Well we probably all raised our eyebrows at the team selection but fair play what a performance and a much needed 3 points. Haven’t felt this happy for weeks. COYI

Corbyhammer

1.) 11 May 2025 16:34:27
100% agree

26 Apr 2025 16:58:42
Well that coufal change cost us that game such a poor substitution.

Corbyhammer

1.) 26 Apr 2025 17:56:17
Wow are you really blaming Potter for the players inability to hold on for 6 minutes? Same happened last week ….players fault not managers

2.) 26 Apr 2025 18:20:18
But at least it showed how useless Coufal is

3.) 27 Apr 2025 09:06:38
I find it incredible that people are making excuses and shifting the blame to defend Potter’s obvious lack of ability. Enough said.

22 Feb 2025 17:59:31
Potter has brought the feel good factor back to the club. Everything he says and does is refreshing. He got a tune today out of a poor squad, we all agree on that. Nice to see he went with a game plan and did not put all the emphasis on what arsenal might do to us as previous managers. Just back this up Thursday. For anyone to want potter out you are not a true hammer or have a very short memory COYI

Corbyhammer

1.) 22 Feb 2025 20:21:37
Corby, entirely agree, great result today?? I thought Potter was a great choice at the start, nobody knows or knew how the next Manager was going to do, nobody has a crystal ball! Plenty of pipe dreams here but you need to be realistic, said many times, we are West Ham!
Must say Moyes doing an exceptional job at Everton and very pleased for him despite us playing rubbish Football under his Management, liked the way he conducted himself. COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

05 Jan 2025 11:49:31
Wouldn’t our board gain more respect if they stop messing about with this 2 more games rubbish. We could all see from loppy’s time at wolves he was out of his depth and since being in charge of us it has just been backed up what we all thought, the wrong appointment. Show some management skills and put us fans and him out of the dire mess we deserve more that the rubbish we have had to watch the last few years. Yes Moyes won us a trophy and he has been dining out on this since but the last three seasons in the league under him we fell off the cliff after Xmas. 57000 fans and the die hard away fans deserve a better return for using their hard earned money to support the team.

Corbyhammer

1.) 05 Jan 2025 13:47:13
Well said Corby ?? Every morning I go online in the hope that this manager has had his marching orders because until he goes this mess will keep going round and round and if he doesn’t go soon it will become a job that no progressive manager will want and we’ll end up with another dinosaur! My son is a Citeh season ticket holder and he said we didn’t look bad in the first half but capitulated at 2:0 . Lopetegui’s biggest problem is he doesn’t know how to make positive tactical changes but to be fair has little on the bench to do so. Fullkrug took his goal well and had some nice touches. I think with the right Manager he’ll be ok so for me I’d sack Loopy, bring back Freddy Potts and sign a midfielder with some pace and a CB. I’d then look at rebuilding again in the summer using funds from Kudus etc

2.) 05 Jan 2025 15:14:40
Exactly Dabber. That’s what I’ve been saying. We’ll have to stop agreeing like this or people will start talking! ?

3.) 05 Jan 2025 15:34:13
I know we’ve crossed swords in the past but I always respected people have a difference of opinion. Moyes was divisive as he did steer us towards silverware but at the same time was instrumental in leaving us in this current situation. To me there is nothing divisive about Lopetgui and the current mess won’t be sorted until he jumps on his bike …

4.) 05 Jan 2025 16:05:34
Should memory serve me correctly, only Tin Legs and myself, wanted to wield the axe on Loppy after 4 games, many wanted to give. Him many games more, he had no tactical nous then and no game plan whatsoever, and still doesn’t and never will, Sullivan and Loppy have killed us this season, Sorry but for me, they have jointly put us in danger of relegation, I had a grudging respect for Sullivan, over his financial nous, regarding rules and regs which he knows inside out, couple of years back, he took delight in explaining the details to us at a charity dinner, but he’s sailing close to the wind now

5.) 05 Jan 2025 16:57:22
You’ve both hit the nail on the head Dabber and Joyful. Differing views and opinions are what this forum is about, and the common thread for the vast majority is that we want the best for West Ham United.

Joyful you can only play what is put in front of you. Enjoy the win and performance. I totally agree Cresswell should be given a one year contract. Away fans were brilliant yesterday.

Yes but only to make up the numbers never going to win it
Would be a great signing for us fingers cross that London and our salary can persuade him.

Syd can’t disagree with you that Billy played like us supporters wanted to see. Over the years it is difficult to say who was the best. Sir trev for me was excellent, Jonny sissons was a personal favourite growing up. But so glad that BB is getting this honour. I think all us hammers will have a personal favourite but all will agree long over due this accolade for Bonzo.

How can the spuds get away Wrekin week out signing we are the Y*# army? Double standards.

Under potter the future looks promising. This season is just about developing the squad players he wants for next season and blooding some youngsters along the way. In defence to JWP he has played under moyes and loopy, before he fell out with him. Under potter he may just be allowed to attack more and do what he did best for the saints and produce that final ball, time will tell on this point. I thought Solar was a carthorse but seeing him gallop down that wing tonight shows the fitness levels are improving. As a lifelong hammer I am looking forward to see how we progress in the future.

My first game was a school trip to old Trafford 21 April 1967, we lost 3-1 with law best and Charlton scoring. As a left footer was hooked on Jonny sissions. Been a hammer ever since corbyhammer

This is a gutless performance from them all. Johnson has had a shocker from the first 30 seconds. Paquata is a liability and Moyes has to go or we are down.
