If we are going to sell DOWNES its ludicrous another player not been given a run in the team the boy hasn't started 2 games for us so I am totally pissed of it's the same with SCAMACCA how you can judge a player on 27 games is non footballing sense and DOWNES well if anything I'd loan him out no thinking about it if he goes out on loan to a championship club he's already proved he's good enough to play in the premier league and with RICE gone and SOUCEK not performing then he's good enough to be part of our squad.⚒⚒⚒

Downes is not good enough. He is a quality Championship player. He gets caught in possession an awful lot which places our defensive unit under pressure. He would be playing CDM, therefore, it is one position to keep the ball. Many fans are not keen on Soucek, yet he was in the top 3 players for breaking up possession in the premier league. His short passing game is fine, yet his passing range is questionable. He also adds a few goals. Why do we need to replace something we already have?

You cannot be serious. Moyes never gave Downes a chance to settle in and develop. Instead he insisted on playing Soucek who, for a major part of the season, played so badly we might have been better off with ten men! “His passing range is questionable”? More like non-existent. In more than one game, his tally of completed passes barely made double figures. Soucek is very good at running around like a headless chicken. We need to replace him simply because he’s not good enough.

We would be mad to let Downes leave the club. He is going to be a very good player if given the matches and time. He shows a lot of passion for the club and deserves his chance.

We all have our opinions, and I feel Downes is not as good as Soucek plus he never scores or looks like scoring. Soucek for me all day long.

Hi soccerschool are you being serious DOWNES is being asked to play in every position apart from where his best position is which is just in front of the back four protecting the back four not wide right like MOYES has played him before and gets caught in possesion I truly don't know what game that was as whenever he's been asked he's always performed above and beyond ahats been asked of him and can you imagine being a bit part player player 10 mins here and there knowing you ain't going to be playing in the next game or you might get a cameo 5 mins here and there it's very difficult.⚒⚒⚒
