Reports suggest we are interested in Romelu_Lukaku. He would be a great signing. His appearance/goal ratio figures are immense: WBA 35/17, Everton 141/68, Man Utd 66/28, Inter 97/57, Chelsea 26/8, Belgium 108/75.

Soccerschool

1.) 22 Aug 2023 18:39:13
I agree he would be a good signing but he on prohibitive wages for us.

2.) 22 Aug 2023 19:08:02
Reckon he'll end up in Saudi

3.) 23 Aug 2023 02:37:30
If he’s such a great signing, why have Man Utd, Chelsea and Inter Milan all fallen over themselves to get shot of him?

4.) 23 Aug 2023 07:59:05
His attitude that's why :-)

5.) 23 Aug 2023 11:56:40
Exactly. Plus, he’s too inconsistent for the financial outlay. One to avoid.

6.) 23 Aug 2023 12:28:51
So the first tree isn't Greenwood lol

7.) 23 Aug 2023 16:24:35
Lmao, going to be last week panic for signings me thinks

8.) 23 Aug 2023 18:42:19
When MORATA left Chelsea he started scoring in the Italian league same as LUKAKU who's goals dried up for CHELSEA then went too Milan and started scoring so I'm a tad dubious on the standard of the Italian league so I wouldn't go for LUKAKU but I'm pretty sure he'd think he was too good for us.

9.) 24 Aug 2023 15:39:05
Mohammed Kudus will be Pablo Fornals replacement

Hugo Ekitike or Youssef En Nesyri will be Gianluca Scamaccas replacement

Cody Drameh will be Ben Johnsons or Thilo Kehrers replacement at right back -IF one of them leaves

Ian Maatsen will HOPEFULLY be Aaron Cresswells replacement - IF he leaves

Jesse Lingard MIGHT then be signed on a free after the transfer window shuts. That will be our transfer business done

18 Aug 2023 11:38:47
It appears that Kudus and Mavropano could be signing today, if not over the weekend. This would then be a good window. Apart from Rice, the dead wood has gone, and new talented blood has come in. Well done Moyse.
Kudus is probably a replacement for Pacquetta. A forward would make it a very good window.

Soccerschool

1.) 18 Aug 2023 12:18:56
Well done Moyes? He probably doesn't want any of these players, Kudus has far too much flair, so he probably won't play him.

Also, Cresswell and Antonio are apparently set to leave before the window shuts, with Paqueta likely to leave for Manchester City as well.

So signing Mavropano, Kudus and a forward (hopefully Wahi) would be a good start, but we also need a left back as an absolute minimum.

2.) 18 Aug 2023 12:20:41
Kudus to the board and Tim Steidten if they pull all of this off

3.) 18 Aug 2023 12:21:26
Agreed buddy, we really need full backs. Cresswell and Emerson one side (and Cresswell wants out and Emerson not a solid left back), coufal and Johnson the other (Johnson wants out and coufal is a shadow of the player he was) . Additionally, going into a long season with Europe aswell with Ings and Antonio (ok, we have Muamba but is he ready for the step up? ) Doesn't bode well, so striker is a must?

4.) 19 Aug 2023 23:02:34
I am a betting man but for me the chances of KUDUS agreeing to come to us is extremely slim if not nigh on impossible, but percentage wise I'd say 5% and this isn't me being negative I just think he will have his eyes on a bigger club and better offer than our offer but as always I'd be pleasantly suprised and extremely overjoyed if we did.

25 Jul 2023 12:14:22
Offers in for Ward Prowse and Gallagher. Talks with McTominay. If we got those 3 with Pacqueta and Bowen that's a decent midfield. All experienced, fit and injury free. I'd be well happy with that midfield 5.

Soccerschool

1.) 25 Jul 2023 13:51:37
If we get these am sure MOYES would be very happy, but of course, what is TIM STEIDTENS role in these signings. If we just wanted Premier league players his role is redundant? From a monetary point of view (which is what its all about) it would make more sense to Get Alvarez, Fofana and GALLAGHER. Anyway, approx 8 bids in for players presumably. Don't stay up lol

2.) 25 Jul 2023 14:14:08
Ward-Prowse is one-dimensional and McTominay is not good enough. We can do so much better.

3.) 25 Jul 2023 14:27:26
MAN UTD will only listen to "VERY BIG" offers for Mctominay so strike him from the list!

4.) 25 Jul 2023 15:24:32
Alvarez and Gallagher for me. Use Soucek as extra cover for both box to box and CB.

5.) 25 Jul 2023 15:44:06
Talks progressing well for Jwp. Soucek is the concern as he always had Rice to have his back

6.) 25 Jul 2023 16:17:27
Steinberg reporting Alvarez 35m deal being held up by agent fees,

I'll be gutted if we end up with JWP and Mctominay after being linked with, Alvarez, paulinha, Gallager, fofana all window.

7.) 25 Jul 2023 17:02:46
McTominay and Maguire are the worst of the bunch we’ve been linked with, closely followed by Ward-Prowse. All Moyes choices. This bloke is ruining West Ham and Sullivan is letting him get away with it. Thankfully, Maguire thinks he’s too good for us, and Man Utd have way over-priced McTominay, so I doubt Moyes will get his way with those two. I think we’ll get Ward-Prowse, but he’s over-priced and we could do so much better. The sooner we get rid of the liability that Moyes is, the better.

8.) 25 Jul 2023 17:38:09
The thought of JWP and Soucek in midfield worries me big time. Paqueta will be handing in a transfer request by Jan if not before the summer window closes after playing a few games with those 2

9.) 25 Jul 2023 17:50:47
Only West ham. Why is it ALWAYS a drama? Where are those now who are happy waiting till 01st Sep considering this calamitous way of dealing with player transfers. Did they really think they would get cheap deals? Of course not, not with English players. They need to ditch the messing about by Chelsea etc and just go get alvarez (agent fee issue I don't believe) and fofana

10.) 25 Jul 2023 18:56:42
Ward prowse. 28.and doesn't offer much other than free kicks. Mctominey. No thanks.

I'd like us to get the lb from Chelsea. Cb from from city. Lw from city. Alverez and fofana. But I have just played FM so I might be dreaming here

11.) 01 Aug 2023 15:02:10
WP is actually nearer to 29 to be pedantic about it.

05 Jul 2023 08:05:49
Reports in the newspapers saying we may be in for Chaloboah of Chelsea. He'd be a solid signing: Young, fit and experienced.

Soccerschool

1.) 05 Jul 2023 09:38:23
And we desperatly need young decent defenders so a solid signing if we could get him

2.) 05 Jul 2023 20:03:52
Arsenal are allegedly demanding the Earth for Tavares

3.) 06 Jul 2023 07:12:05
Just walk away yes we need a right and left back but we can look at that after we sort out our midfield and striker problems

4.) 06 Jul 2023 07:14:53
Lets face it, they are bound to now because they couldn't get Dec on the cheap. Anyway, ZAKARIA loan deal possibly. Newcastle now lead the pack for the signature of HARVEY BARNES which makes sense of the rumour we are looking at HUDSON ODOI on a free (we love a cheap deal ROFL) . going to be another LONG LONG SUMMER

5.) 06 Jul 2023 07:50:29
It's the way we roll Daisy. Remember "gyorkes"? We were "apparently" very interested and negotiating for a deal less than the "apparent" £25m asking price. Lo and behold he is now going to Sporting for £17m? I wouldn't pay too much attention to any of the current rumours such is scamacca to ac Milan for cash plus origi? SCAMACCA has let it known, he don't want to be here under Moyes, simple as that.

6.) 06 Jul 2023 09:22:41
We should still go in for Barnes even if it's just to bump the price up on Newcastle
They maybe mega rich but still have to meet the ffp rules which I rumoured they are pretty close to and they need a few more plays

7.) 06 Jul 2023 10:49:49
West Ham United’s stance on Gianlucca Scamacca’s potential departure has softened and they could be open to an expensive loan offer for him. Another backroom staff member has left PAUL NEVIN? Ajax are waiting for WEST HAM to approach them for EDSON ALVAREZ who out of the opptions available and the price is good value for money

8.) 06 Jul 2023 12:09:17
Daisy, quite clearly there is unrest in the backroom. How many more are set to leave?

9.) 06 Jul 2023 13:17:09
Seems like Rob Newman may well be on his way also! Wow, how many more are going If only it was MOYES

10.) 07 Jul 2023 13:34:52
Folk leave when they get bored with dinosaurs.

11.) 08 Jul 2023 14:22:46
Toon will be giving up on St Maximin if they sign Barnes! Latter isn't that great let us sign him.

12.) 10 Jul 2023 03:47:22
Hi daisy AJAX will be waiting a long time as we ain't in the last couple of days of the window yet?but how we haven't bought a single player yet (oh sorry the young irish lad.another one who we will never hear of again especially under DM ) but I'll get it in very early don't go to bed on the last knockings of the final hours ???⚒⚒⚒

03 Jul 2023 10:47:40
Looks like Harvey Barnes will be the first summer signing. Think this is a smart move. No language barrier and premier league experience. Bowen on the right and Barnes on the left. It has a nice balance.

Soccerschool

1.) 03 Jul 2023 14:26:17
Great signing i believe.

2.) 10 Jul 2023 03:48:51
BARNES will be going to NEWCASTLE imo.⚒⚒⚒

Good result today, hard fault, but still a good result. Two results on the bounce, hopefully we have turned a corner. Our team of Ariola, Coufal, Emerson, Zouma, Aguerd, JWP, Alvarez, Pacquetta, Soucek, Bowwn, Kudus is our best 11. We thought JWP MOM today, and Soucek made a difference when pushed further up.

Soccerschool

1.) 12 Nov 2023 21:15:53
Set piece United we are, I'll take the 3 points but I can't take much more of Moyesball.

Also Soucek was higher than alverez and Jwp then dropped deeper when Alvarez went off. He was absolutely non existent until the headed goal.

2.) 13 Nov 2023 15:00:55
What about Soucek’s shot that hit the bar, and his header into the ground that went just over the bar? Credit where credit’s due.

3.) 16 Nov 2023 15:15:57
When the game plan is to put the ball into the box and win corners he's bound to get chances.

In possession it's almost like having a man down with Soucek on the pitch.

Personally I'd of rather seen Antonio, Benrahma and mubama ahead of him.

Would love to see Paqueta Kudus and Bowen behind Mubama his Pace and willingness to run In behind would create plenty space for those to operate and create chances for him. He's actually has a better touch and finish than Antonio from what I've seen in preseason and youth games.

05 Nov 2023 16:18:33
Shame Antonio stopped a certain 3rd for Benrahma, had it gone in we'd have been home and hosed. Just have to move on on to the next game.
Come on you irons.

Pointless talking of “what ifs”.

17 Sep 2023 19:46:24
At the game yesterday I thought we were excellent, although against the best team in the world we were miles behind. It was a pleasure watching City.
Our midfield of Alcarez, Soucek, JWP, Pacqutta, Bowen looks really good. It has a nice balance and we look really strong. Antonio troubled the city defence. Our defence and GK also look solid. Apart from Man City and Arsenal if I were WHU I would not be worried about anyone.
Hitting teams on the break obviously works for our team and they enjoy playing it.
Pacquetta is obviously our star player, but Soucek and Alvarez look super solid together.

Soccerschool

1.) 17 Sep 2023 22:17:01
You cannot be serious Soccerschool. If you think we were good, it just confirms you live in a different world. I lost count of the times Man City split our defence and peppered our goal. Haarland missed at least 3 sitters and Areola had the game of his life. They could have scored double figures. Apart from clearing one shot off our goal line, Soucek was anonymous. Antonio had a really bad game and Bowen was quiet. Man City had 69% possession, 29 shots on goal to our 6, 15 of their attempts were on target. And you call that a solid defence! Get real Soccerschool and wake up to the real world.

2.) 18 Sep 2023 07:55:37
Hmmmm, to be honest, I'm not sure which game you were watching Soccerschool, And I don't mean that to be rude or argumentative. City are a great team, granted, but our performance was dire. Aguerd had a shocker, Antonio wasted a glorious opportunity when 1 on 1 with the keeper (YET AGAIN) . Doku tore Coufal a new one. We couldn't retain the ball because we sat so deep. If we continue in this vain, somebody will rack up double figures against us.

The players don't like MOYESBALL, as Declan Rice pointed out after he left us. During the summer, so many players wanted out and that was partly due to MOYES and partly due to the football (if you call it that) . Why would Anotnio and Cresswell want to go to WOLVES?

Nothing will change as long as he is in charge. On the brighter side, I'm hoping that the reason we haven't offered him a new contract is because he will be gone (One can hope) .

3.) 18 Sep 2023 10:05:18
Daisy, you and I obviously watched the same game. I think the Moyes contract situation depends entirely on how this season goes.

4.) 18 Sep 2023 18:41:25
Overall I didn't think the performance was that bad against let's be fair the best team in world football. The Antonio chance was crucial. If we could of gone 2-1 we might of got something. Antonio is just hopeless at one on ones with the keeper he has no natural finishing instincts. A good striker puts the keeper on his arse and scores.
I still think the lack of a striker signing will cost us a couple of positions higher come the end of the season.

There is good signs though the midfield is looking very good.Coufal struggled but I think he's been good in all the previous games.Emerson has been excellent likewise Zouma. Aguerd needs to cut the silly errors out or he will be replaced by Mavropanos. Areola has been really solid.

So all in all I think there is a lot to be positive about. I would like to see Kudus play the striker role and I think we could do some damage this season.

5.) 19 Sep 2023 07:10:20
And lucky for us, Antonio has juist signed a contract extension? So, in the summer he wants out and now he resigns? Lots of loyalty their me thinks

6.) 19 Sep 2023 08:27:51
BoleynBoy and Soccerschool, I agree with you both?
What on earth did we expect against the best team in World Football as you said, absolutely ridiculous what some posters on here expect, but it’s so consistent from them, nothing will change their constant critical outlook? ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

7.) 19 Sep 2023 09:09:10
Don’t be so negative, Chelmsford! ? Some of us hope and expect our team to win.

8.) 19 Sep 2023 10:00:55
There’s something wrong when your goalkeeper is consistently the man of the match!

9.) 20 Sep 2023 07:15:32
I rarely expect our team to win, hope maybe but never expect, That’s what makes you to critical!
⚒⚒⚒⚒

10.) 20 Sep 2023 10:58:20
Hi boleynboy the Nigerian federation has stated that KUDUS cannot be used as a striker.⚒⚒⚒

11.) 20 Sep 2023 12:45:37
Chelmsford: “I rarely expect our team to win, hope maybe but never expect, That’s what makes you to critical! ”
And we’re the ones accused of being negative! ?

12.) 20 Sep 2023 21:14:36
Having read the posts I agree with Chelmsford and Soccerschool. Against the best team in the world we played pretty well. If you remove City and Arsenal from the equation we have a season to look forward to. I think ourselves, Spurs, Utd, Villa, Brighton and Newcastle will vie for 3-6 positions. I think our best team is: Areola, Coufal, Emerson, Zouma, Ogbonna, Bowen, Alvarez, Soucek, Pacquetta, JWP, Antonio. This side reminds we of the one from 1980-1981 and 1986. Full of good players, workers and one star.

13.) 21 Sep 2023 11:09:15
It's a good thing that people have differing opinions. This particular match reminds me of how different witnesses see things differently. To my mind, we were lucky to get away with such a small scoreline on a day that Man City had 29 attempts on goal to our 6, they missed quite a few sitters, one or two of them being open goal situations, clearances off our goal line, our goalkeeper pulling off a number of worldy saves, and where the opposition had the vast majority of the play. We were lucky that the score was not greater. It could easily have been 1-8 or even more on a different day. I wonder if you'd think we had a good game if Lady Luck had been smiling on Man City instead of us?

02 Sep 2023 17:46:24
Many fans wanted Moyse out and Carrick in.thank heavens the board didn't listen. Carrick will be sacked soon.

Soccerschool

1.) 03 Sep 2023 11:48:52
Possibly only got the job anyway without being unkind because of ManU connection and Ferguson also being a local NE lad?
⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

2.) 03 Sep 2023 23:18:44
Boro sold their best striker and you cannot do that in the championship and it wasnt a coincidence that when he took over the job last season boro were difficult to beat and climbed the table I'd reserve judgement on CARRICK as he's not had the chance to manage top players like MOYES.⚒⚒⚒

3.) 05 Sep 2023 11:36:06
Boro went awry when they lost the redoubtable Tony Mowbray. Lol
A potential Hammers' coach if ever I saw one.

4.) 05 Sep 2023 11:54:04
Yeah, just ask Coventry and Blackburn fans!

5.) 05 Sep 2023 22:37:49
I'm sure they get more excited from watching paint dry than one of Tony's teams.

1.) 01 Sep 2023 17:37:28
Don’t like any of our regulars on International duty coming back possibly crocked! ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

2.) 01 Sep 2023 17:42:23
Likewise. Glad they never made England squad. Reckon Lingard is coming in as the Scamacca replacement?

3.) 01 Sep 2023 18:20:23
Hope to god we don't get too many injuries and moyes don't work them to death

4.) 01 Sep 2023 18:24:53
Disappointed that we don’t have replacement for scamaca it should have been lined up before he left it will interesting to see how he will use kudus

5.) 01 Sep 2023 18:52:59
Likewise, a good window could have been a GREAT window. Obviously moyes doesn't think we need a striker so is he planning on life woth Lingard his "precious"!

6.) 01 Sep 2023 19:04:37
Remember Dean Ashton on England duty?

7.) 01 Sep 2023 19:42:49
LINGARD cannot replace SCAMACCA i will be slightly disappointed if we don't get a striker in as we got away with not replacing HALLER, we are playing Russian roulette not getting a CONFIRMED striker in not a player being turned into a striker like BOWEN and the GHANAIAN people have already said that KUDUS cannot be a direct replacement for ANTONIO and if INGS is a back up striker then I'll have to be very disappointed with us not getting a striker in as I think MOYES will not pitch MUBAMA in it will be INGS and for me he's not up to playing up top on his own anyway.⚒⚒⚒

8.) 01 Sep 2023 19:54:15
Oh yeah.

9.) 01 Sep 2023 21:13:04
PALACE are negotiating with PSG who are happy for EKITIKE to leave tonight
