Hakan Calhanoglu AM linked with us, however is 29 years old. It's claimed he's a bit like Payet in style.

1.) 31 Jul 2023 09:19:15
It would be easier to list the players NOT linked wifh us. ?

2.) 31 Jul 2023 09:54:06
So it seems Newcastle may well be about to hit us with a Double West Ham blow, as Newcastle eye ‘incredible’ £34 million-rated Jean-Clair Todibo (another we should be all over)

3.) 31 Jul 2023 11:26:23
Well it's out there now its DM that is blocking new players that are recommended as he wants his own signings basically defenders or midfielders that can run and run and run basically robots if we don't get rid of him now we are in serious danger of going down to the championship'how can Joe Cole carlton Cole and other so called hammers fans be on tv and say he's doing a good job that surely ain't there honest opinions if they are then both haven't a clue.⚒⚒⚒

4.) 31 Jul 2023 12:04:39
Its OK WHORAY, we have until 01st Sep. There are plenty of players out there that we could have gone for are are going to go for, but MOYES wants Premier league players to save his neck and anything else he isn't interested in. IN a real club, its tha managers place to train, prepare and select the best 11 he can to win football matches. DoF Scouts, finds and recommends players to the manager and he makes decisions which are best players for THE CLUB.NOT FOR HIM?

5.) 31 Jul 2023 13:05:09
Just listening to Mark Warburton on talksport and he basically left because, reading between the lines, he couldn't stand Moyes defensive attitude

6.) 31 Jul 2023 13:27:52
Chelsea set a 45M asking price for Chalobah? These UK based players are so expensive

7.) 31 Jul 2023 19:58:00
Warburton didn't have "nowt taken out" then from his Hammers' stint.

8.) 31 Jul 2023 21:00:30
Maybe we shouldn't be telling everyone we want prem based players they're expensive enough as it is without other clubs knowing how desperate Moyes is.

We need to Move on now go sign these other targets from abroad, our best signings last season were Paqueta and Aguerd by a long shot and both came from ligue 1.

We can always come back for the prem based players late in the window when clubs have already signed better players and need to sell more than we need to buy.

9.) 01 Aug 2023 03:32:52
Warburton used his loaf and walked

10.) 01 Aug 2023 07:20:19
And as yet, we have not replaced the backroom staff that walked either, so never mind players that have or are about to leave. Forest and Everton are very interested iN ANTONIO.

11.) 01 Aug 2023 14:21:31
Forget ADRIEN TRUFFERT. He has just signed a 2 year contract extension.

12.) 01 Aug 2023 15:00:32
Truffle will be turned down by a certain pig in blanket - or is that Wet Blanket.

15 Jul 2023 15:13:06
We're supposedly after a youngish right back called Emil Holm ; main sticking point being Brighton also keen ( or alternatively our get out clause not to pursue him properly ).

Spiketheelephant

1.) 15 Jul 2023 16:36:47
That sounds about right spike. Talks are STILL continuing with juventus for zakaria. This is zakaria for gods sake, not Messi! If it takes this long over a player who flopped at his previous two clubs, how long for a player with real quality?

2.) 15 Jul 2023 17:37:07
If we get an injury free Zakaria and he can replicate the form that had most of the top sides in Europe wanting to sign him a few years ago, then he could be well worth the expenditure.

He's a very good footballer - but his injury record is a hugely worrying caveat. So obviously we'll be signing him very soon.

3.) 16 Jul 2023 02:27:38
Why have we offered £11m for such a good player we are trying to find a replacement for RICE and why I know the task is nigh on impossible come on really.⚒⚒⚒

4.) 16 Jul 2023 09:37:54
Keep an eye on the paqueta to Newcastle situation?

5.) 16 Jul 2023 18:02:28
Exactly Whoray. If zakaria is such a world beater why is he only £11m? David Moyes will continue making the major transfer decisions at West Ham this summer despite the arrival of technical director Tim Steidten,

6.) 17 Jul 2023 07:37:57
So, basically what we are saying is that no new fresh names will be appearing? Why bring STEIDTEN in for this summer window if his scouting etc will not be put to use

30 Jun 2023 01:03:04
We're apparently keen on an 18 year old Japanese striker called Goto ; and Tavares an Arsenal full back they wish to offload to whittle down their Rice spending mildly.

Spiketheelephant

1.) 10 Jul 2023 03:50:57
Far too young for MOYES spike⚒⚒⚒

2.) 13 Jul 2023 15:31:43
Not a 28 year old prospect eh Whorya

16 Jun 2023 19:09:36
We're apparently interested in Dan Ballard the young arsenal and Northern Ireland central defender-currently injured before anyone pipes up.

1.) 17 Jun 2023 14:19:57
Sunderland**

Seen we were linked to young CB from Everton Jarrad Braithwaite aswell. No idea if any of them are any good stats look OK.

{Ed002's Note - Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Loan well well at PSV who will look to making the move permanent. Roma provide an option whilst Mr Mourinho is there, but that will likely leave if he does. West Ham, Aston Villa and Manchester United have sent scouts. I am not certain of any Liverpool interest but when asked, the player said he would consider it. Will be at Everton in pre-season and will likely look for assurances of game time, particularly with Mina and Coady gone.}

2.) 18 Jun 2023 17:52:17
PSV have already stated they can't afford him, he'll stay at Everton I reckon.

Desperately looking for a silver lining; Arthur Masuaku has finally moved on. To Besiktas.

Spiketheelephant

1.) 24 Jul 2023 23:02:26
Keep up. That was about 3 months ago!

2.) 25 Jul 2023 02:49:36
Hahaha ? yeah

3.) 25 Jul 2023 05:35:50
Latest:
West Ham’s David Sullivan bids £25 million for Ward-Prowse, £40 million for Gallagher, and £50 for a Ford Capri Ghia. Talks are continuing on all three.
Apparently Maguire doesn’t fancy coming to East London as West Ham have told him he needs wheels on his walking frame to comply with ULEZ.
These things are sent to try us.

4.) 25 Jul 2023 05:52:30
Meanwhile, Les Ferdinand has issued a strong denial that he has anything to do with ULEZ, one of the alleged main reasons why no player wants to come to West Ham. He issued a statement which reads - “It’s got nothing to do with me. I’m fed up with hearing people say, ‘it’s all down to you, Les’.”

5.) 25 Jul 2023 07:00:20
BRAVO lol and unfortunately Tin this is what we are reduced to. Maguire doesn't fancy moving to London and especially not us and yet MOYES persists in wasting time. Tim Steidten doesn't want us persuing JWP but MOYES persists and ofr course if we don;t get him his players he won;t play them

6.) 25 Jul 2023 09:51:00
But he tried.

Brings a whole new meaning to tried and tested.

They say they tried, we know we’ve been tested.

7.) 25 Jul 2023 10:47:25
Allegedly, Man Utd want £45 million for McTominay. I hope that includes his bail money for when he uses his delicate skills against opposing players. Still, Moyes probably thinks that’s a reasonable figure. This transfer window has descended into the realms of a Whitehall Brian Rix farce. (Younger readers should look that up. ?)

8.) 25 Jul 2023 10:55:30
As we all suspected, West Ham have a difference of opinion on targets with some staff favouring UK-based purchases such as [Joao] Palhinha, James Ward-Prowse, Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, Conor Gallagher and Alex Scott while others are leaning towards Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana and Axel Disasi, Edson Alvarez of Ajax and Denis Zakaria at Juventus.” It seems about 10 bids have been submitted for players and now we wait to see what bites we get. First to agree, we sign!

{Ed002's Note - Ward-Prowson and Alvarez will come to the fore.}

9.) 25 Jul 2023 13:56:40
I'd be happy with Alvarez and Ward Prowse. I'd also like to see us sign another midfielder to replace SOUCEK cause he doesn't provide enough in midfield. We then need full backs and 2 or 3 forwards, depending on what happens with ANTONIO, SCAMACCA and INGS (and therein could be the real problem)

10.) 25 Jul 2023 18:45:38
Ulez - Moyes and the board are the ones who'd begrudge an extra £12.50 for a player.

It's like women whom hook up with a guy presumably because they like many things about him ; then immediately proceed to try and change him.

Re the original premise here of "needing a new leader". By almost all accounts the problem now seems to be, in fact ; Too Many Chiefs and Not Enough Indians.

Exactly; the down to earth folks on here don't believe in a magic wand unless they can see some reason for change and improvements to come. As whom would deliberately play badly and below their best? I am probably seen as a major cynic on here; but I actually don't like to believe in deliberate failure even now.

We get a fair number of Scots and Irish lads on scholarships ; then move them on before they've had a chance to prove themselves.

Does the lack of Antonio mean he's moving now then.
