Yep, this is how far our ambition has taken us. Leicester fans hate this guy!!

01 Sep 2026 10:34:58
He would make Kilman look world class, he is truly awful.

01 Sep 2026 12:08:07
Hey, this Belgian defender has been sourced by our top Belgian head of recruitment. Apparently he uses Google. ?

01 Sep 2026 12:55:04
More likely uses the Beano.

01 Sep 2026 15:29:37
Last I heard it's off.

01 Sep 2026 16:05:19
Koppen whipped down B and Q and found a plank of wood that was better and cheaper than Wous, so cancelled the deal.

01 Sep 2026 18:10:47
Should have gone to the builders merchants, he'd have found a plank cheaper and better than Kilman.

Do we think the next couple games could be make or break for Nuno?

Personally, if we get beat by Wolves I think it will be curtains for him!!

In a word, yes. If West Ham hold any hopes of promotion, they must find someone to get the maximum out of the players they have, full stop.

West Ham have not got anything like a squad that's going to storm through the division, but depending now on the last day business, they have got a squad which just might squeeze a place at the end.

They are not signing 4/5 players tomorrow, one, maybe two. I think a better manager could do better, but we must be honest, West Ham were vastly overestimated by the bookmakers, full stop.

31 Aug 2026 18:37:20
I think we're on the West Ham merry-go-round again. We've been here so many times before, it's boring. It was obvious to us supporters that the Nuno project was an abject failure months ago, but our board, in its wisdom, didn't sack him.

Now we're back to assessing his results, match by match. He'll go, that's obvious, but as usual it will be a death by a thousand cuts; very slow and very painful.

31 Aug 2026 19:13:43
Couldn't agree with you guys more.

Why is it we always seem to miss a trick somewhere?

The end of last season, we could all see what needed to be done to prepare us for life in the Championship, and, as always, it's been painful on and off the pitch.

We've let go, in one way or another, God knows how many players, including our full backs, and it's now last minute, and we need cb and lb still.

Tactics are shocking. How many managers, 2-0 up, park the bus?

Does he not realise goal difference could make all the difference?

Did Southampton stop scoring at 3-1? He is more afraid to lose than to win.

I guarantee, if we are 2-0 on Wolves tomorrow night, he will park the bus. And please, drop Bowen, give the guy a rest.

31 Aug 2026 19:36:34
I would imagine this bunch will still wait until the international break even though he should really be put out of his misery sooner rather than later. If they act quick, there are a few really decent choices out there at the moment.

Even the lesser choices like Pirrera would be a major upgrade. Although we will probably start the cycle once again with a negative choice like Southgate, Cooper or Dyche.

31 Aug 2026 12:03:28
I want to hold my hands up and apologise to all and the striker we could be bidding for from the French 2nd Division. I thought we should be aiming for a more proven Championship striker, but after looking at his stats and seeing he’s only 23, he could be exactly what we need.

Hopefully he’s got some pace about him as well. He will be an unknown to our opponents, which can only be a good thing. He will have my full support if he signs just like everyone else ⚒️

31 Aug 2026 13:44:56
No need to apologise Stevie, emotions always run high after poor results, matey. If he does sign, let's see what he's like. I don't really know anything about him.

31 Aug 2026 14:04:04
For that money, it's a punt like Lamadrid! Sometimes it comes off.

31 Aug 2026 15:14:40
I know it is early doors, but the thing is, Joyful, I don't think it has come off with Lamadrid. I believe we probably have just as good in our academy.

31 Aug 2026 16:47:49
Probably, that's how it is.

31 Aug 2026 11:24:44
Just catching up on previous stuff. DIE 4 nice post unfortunately some of the people. You mentioned on the issue would never be coming to WH, for differing reasons.

Sullivan fact. Although still currently the major shareholder in WH, has nothing to do with any day to day runnings of the club. Is not in contact with anybody, and has no say whatsoever! In any dealings monetary wise or otherwise.

As a director he can attend on match days home and away, but is not allowed to enter any internal meetings or the like.

Kretinsky does not have until end of October to sort out shares. Final date is 27th September. By then you will know who has control of WH.

31 Aug 2026 11:14:31
I was lambasted by many on here when I stated some six weeks back, that WH as a squad will not be promoted.

Why? Because many fans understandably were swept up I then in the thoughts that WH had retained many players would buy in what’s needed, and would be too good for an inferior championship.

I never saw it like that at all, but what I did see was WH totally underestimating the opposition, and worse totally overestimating themselves.

All this whilst trying to concentrate on football, in the middle of a transfer maelstrom.

Now as the clock ticks towards the end of the window they are desperate in trying to put things right.

Our defence is the main problem, and has been ignored till this week.

Up front we are just not clicking.

Is it a Nuno problem, yes in part definitely, but not wholly, that’s why I’m not sure it's a magic wand, just to change over leader.

If it carries on like this it’s inevitable anyway.

31 Aug 2026 07:44:03
Morning all, let’s hope these last two days of the window we actually do something, as I keep saying we can’t go as we are until January we will be too far behind and trying to attract players in January when we could be mid table or lower would be difficult, 3 to 4 players are needed plus a keeper I would say. ?

The Lewis Ferguson Thread That Still Won't Go Away

Most fans were agreed that last season that team would not of even been good enough to get promotion from the Championship. So I find it a bit confusing that now with a weaker squad and less quality some people think we have a god given right to be ripping this league up. With the re build required on the pitch and the finances to be sorted off it, I will be happy with a mid table finish to give it a right good go next season.

Expectations need to be realistic with the manager. I am starting to see green shoots of recovery especially in regards to the development of the youth, which is the only way forward for a club that never seems to buy the so called finished product well.

I think what happens in the next 3 days will direct our season.

On the whole, I think we can be quite positive about this window.

A lot of troublemakers and players with bad attitudes offloaded, and young players being brought in and brought through.

I'd still like marauding full backs and a creative midfielder, and maybe a cb and a tall keeper.

I think we can easily beat Wolves, but I just don't think that Nuno knows yet which is his best 11. I also think we need a change of captain, and finally, Bowen needs to learn to go wide instead of cutting in on his left foot all the time, which is very predictable.

30 Aug 2026 16:46:06
Mac3: "I just don't think that Nuno knows yet which is his best 11."
Are you serious? After, what is it now, how many games he's been in charge? 42? I give up.

30 Aug 2026 18:41:51
If we don't go up this year, Boleynboy Bowen, Mavro, Taty will definitely leave next summer, and will be irreplaceable as funds won't be there. I don't actually think our squad is bad for the Championship. I do, however, think the manager is awful. I think a decent manager would get a lot more out of this set of players.

30 Aug 2026 18:41:57
I understand what you're saying, Tin, honestly, but the way he keeps changing formation and how he is using players at his disposal only suggests he still doesn't know who to play where!

I keep reading we are targeting wingers and forwards when we all know we need full backs who can provide width and a cb that can actually defend.

And you have to agree, Tin, above all, we need a midfielder who can open these teams up that just want to sit in and catch us on counter.

30 Aug 2026 19:06:09
Yes, we need a creative midfielder, a decent centre back, a different goalie and a goal scorer, but most of all we desperately need a coach who knows what he's doing!

30 Aug 2026 19:25:44
We are a team set up to attack. Defensively, we are vulnerable. Surely, Nuno realises this?
The Championship this season is weaker than most years; therefore, we should be putting teams like Burnley, Charlton and Watford to the sword.
Unfortunately, I think Wolves and Southampton will be up there, having seen the teams playing.

30 Aug 2026 20:16:11
Best 11.

I still don't know what type of football Nuno is trying to play.

31 Aug 2026 08:48:01
Sorry, but I have no idea how anyone can be happy with recruitment. Sell Potts for 10mil and Earthy for 600k, both very experienced in the Champ, and buy Engles for 22mil+. Spend 12mil on an unknown Norwegian youngster when we have Ajala, and neglect to buy someone to replace Kilman, a LB and a playmaker, is criminal.

Now we are after a striker from 2nd division in France. We need at least 1, if not 2, CB's and a LB to survive. No idea why Nuno is giving the nod for wingers and strikers when he plays such negative football.

30 Aug 2026 10:38:34
To be honest I can’t even be bothered to comment. All I would say is we need an experienced CB, LB and a playmaker in 2 days. Can’t see it happening. Don’t understand buying a winger from a very inferior league when Nelson was available on a free, giving us funds to buy a LB or CB with that money. Madness.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Aug 2026 12:29:03
Kilman cost £40 million, Mav cost £17 million. Price isn't everything. Yes we need at least 1 CB and a LB. I don't rate the midget GK. Orford needs to start, as regards a midfielder, can we get an upgrade on Potts for £10 million or less?

30 Aug 2026 16:01:54
Agreed, I'd like to see another keeper. Nick Pope was rumoured at one point.
