Hi all
I know this ain’t the most popular with many. But did you see the England game yesterday? I wondered what people’s thoughts are regarding Thomas Tuchel's comments after the game saying we were rubbish and got lucky even though we have just qualified for a WC semi-final.
I wasn’t keen on Tuchel getting the job and don’t agree with some of his decisions but he has gone way up in my estimation after the post-match interview.
I think it is really refreshing that someone says it as it is. I appreciate what Bellingham said that the players need to take some credit, whilst true to hide from the performance by the result alone is foolhardy. Let’s hope they can go on and possibly lift the trophy.

I am no Tuchel fan, but he said England were sloppy - they were. He said they were lucky - they were. Can't see anything wrong in what he said. Bellingham's comment of "maybe he doesn't know what it's like to play in those conditions" was a bit stupid.
I don't think Tuchel said England were rubbish. He just said they need to play better.

I would think kilman, pablo, the midget in goal, the lack of a goalscorer, no creativity or pace through the team are much bigger concerns than scarles who did ok in the PL when played at lb not RB, he's a youngster that lacked a little bit of confidence after being played completely out of position so having a pop at a youngster with no context is bizarre to be honest

The Championship is relentless. We will need as many fit players as possible.
Of course Scarles will have plenty of game time. He's shown enough to deserve it.
I can see Kante, Potts, and even Orford as both subs and starters during a hectic, busy season.

Joyfully, I really appreciate your posts and information. However, I feel that, maybe with the circles you move in, the churn of signings seems to be a priority.
We need two or three, Disasi or another cb, a creative leader, possibly a loan much like Lingard was, and a dependable left winger for when Summerville "takes the soup".
The academy should be able to cover the squad places. There's plenty of talent there, as long as they're not expected to do the heavy lifting.

Thanks for your words. To be honest, having watched younger players a few times, I really hope that I'm wrong, but I don't have the faith you do in them. I'm a bit edgy about some of them, but they will all get a chance.
Nuno has a difficult job to do, made no easier by those players who are undecided about leaving.
Decisions need to be made urgently.
There's plenty of so-called Itks out there giving information about strips, injuries, and the like. I just post agency talk, or some of it. I'm not an Itk, as you have guessed. Thanks again, Joyfull.

Can Ballard step up? Might be a little risky.
Peck also represents a gamble. We cannot be in the market for too much risk.

That's true, tbh I forgot Pablo. For me, he's just not a player. I don't know what Nuno sees in him. I know some people think he will do well in the Championship, I just don't see it.
There's been a bit of interest in him, if that comes to anything I'd get him gone pronto, just my opinion.

Last year's sponsor shirt deal was £12.25m, now in the Championship. Although not official, I’m told it’s quite a bit less, not so much TV exposure.

We are the favourites, but there's been less exposure in the past, there's no guarantee in how many games we will feature, all coverage can be changed, there's far less tv money in that division, West Ham will receive less money from Boyle Sports for sure.

According to sources the deal with Boyle is worth 12mil this season. Boyle feel that West Ham's exposure will be greater this season than it was last year. The reason being, us playing in the Championship is massive news, and everyone is watching to see how we fare in the Championship.

A question for WHTID, a fellow supporter in friendship: why would anybody rush to watch West Ham in the Championship? Why not Wolves, Burnley, or Norwich? Championship sides have nowhere near the exposure of the Premier League, which is shown worldwide. Championship football is not, and will not be, shown globally in the near future, for sure.
Why would anybody pay the same amount, or similar, to any club who has lost that coverage? Perhaps they are. Donors, fair enough, no company is going to pay the same for minimal coverage.
If you wanted advertising space, would you? I wouldn't, for sure!

Yup, the deal with Capital Water was very small, and made because Boyle Sports' contract had expired and would have closed anyway with relegation, bringing different sponsorship financial levels.
Boyle Sports have renewed at a lower cost. WH are talking to Capital Water Ltd, to see if they are interested in a sleeve advert.

One of his tasks will be to decide blucos position on Summerville and Bowen, and of course Disasi.

Bowen has been offered a new contract. You can't amend the old one; same wage, same conditions, etc., starting July 1st. He has not yet signed. The pressure all round is going to start. Next Monday, back to training for all those not involved in the World Cup.
