Mavro Disasi, Soucek Fernandes have been outstanding tonight.

Another completely biased post against our Damager, but will this man never learn about subs when your winning😔Never change a winning team especially with such a limited time left has always been my mantra, even more so when it has happened so many times, he sickens me! āš’āš’āš’

I agree. This bloke’s substitutions really needs looking at. He’s an idiot.

0

11 Feb 2026 13:04:52
Sorry Chelmsford I don’t agree virtually all managers will do the same if you are referring to the subs at the end of the match. Just to wind down a few more seconds. But if you are talking about the Tatty off, Wilson on, then he had to do that Tatty was absolutely exhausted after putting in such a shift.

The substitution at the end did not lead to their goal. The 7 minutes of added time did which was an outrage. I was there and Summerville was about the only small injury he was down for about a minute and the VAR decision was about 4 mins. I don’t normally complain but the referee was an outrage

0

11 Feb 2026 15:16:16
Come on. These guys are top athletes. With the modern training methods and diets, they are fitter today than footballers have ever been. This exhausted nonsense after participating in a game for 90 mins with a 15 mins rest halfway through is a fallacy. Sure, they can get tired, but exhausted to a point where they can’t play on? In my day, the worst a player got was cramp, but he always got up and finished the game.

You can’t tell me Taty, Bowen and Summerville couldn’t have finished that game. Substitutions for injury or a change in tactics, fair enough, but because a player is tired? And our two most effective players? Ridiculous. Nothing more than bad decisions. Well said Chelmsford.

Hammer-D, no of course you’re right, but he’s made this mistake how many times I just can’t contain my anger at him😔the subs need to get up to speed and familiar with opposition to quickly, If we’re losing and might just as well 0-2 as 0-1 in the short time left I can understand, but we knew who we were playing and they are hardly lightweights, plus they want to stay in contention for at least top 7 finish! It would have been such a great result and put others around us really under the cosh, then he’s smiling being interviewed😔😔My son in law was jumping for joy being a Forest 🌳 fanatic!
Had we been playing mid to lower with nothing to fear either way, that’s different imo, but that’s the way my old Football brain works!
We are hardly known for defence solidarity even though we are so much better lately! āš’āš’āš’āš’

11 Feb 2026 16:52:55
Those decisions did not impact the result at all. I know you don’t like the manager Tin but it seems to me that you are looking for the smallest problem that you can use against him. He has cost us points but we are also playing better football than we have for years
and long may it continue.

you were called out before about sticking your neck on the line and saying who you would put in charge and your choice was Thomas Frank well we’ve all seen what an abject failure he is. Great judgement šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

0

11 Feb 2026 17:46:35
If you remember correctly, I did say I didn’t think he would succeed at Spurs. A ā€˜square peg in a round hole’ I think was the actual phrase. And if I remember correctly, my choice of Frank as manager for WHU being a more suitable fit, was agreed with by most on here — including you I think.

I still think Frank would be a better manager for us than Nuno. So, yes, not only good judgement, but a better memory! 🤣

0

11 Feb 2026 18:09:58
Regarding the substitutions I see both avenues. We thought Taty, Summerville and Bowen looked knackered, so no problem, but we thought it odd to swap the left backs.
It was a good point.

0

11 Feb 2026 19:21:39
Well Tin I don’t recall the square peg round hole comment but I will take your word for it. šŸ¤” I thought he seemed a decent bloke and would possibly be better than Nuno but I have stated that the thing with Brentford is it is their set up not the specific manager as the new manager is doing better than Frank and he ( Andrew’s ) was a complete unknown. One of my good mates is spurs fan and he hates Frank as he says he sets them up not to lose and it’s only when we go behind that they start to play. Which is what Nuno was like till a while ago.

I try not to change with the wind but my opinions of players and managers do change over time but I find your mind is made up on various issues and won’t be changed no matter what, therefore you try giving every silver lining a cloud. Even if I were consolatory and said yes I take chelmsfords and your point about the subs, it still didn’t cost us the game. If you want to be harsh you have to blame the defenders for not closing down the cross or shot but that would be churlish which I’m not

0

12 Feb 2026 00:21:46
ā€œā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. I find your mind is made up on various issues and won’t be changed no matter what, therefore you try giving every silver lining a cloud.ā€
What on earth are you talking about? Are you seriously suggesting that the 20 points we’ve dropped from winning positions have nothing to do with Nuno’s bad game management? Even if you discount half of them, that’s still 10 bloody points! That’s not changing just because this squad is playing better.

We’re still in the relegation zone. We shouldn’t be in this position in the first place. I’ll give Nuno credit if he shows it’s him that’s got us out the crap, but I still think there are better/more suitable managers for WHU even if he does. I’m not going to flip-flop.

0

12 Feb 2026 06:47:05
You know full well I’m not suggesting that he takes no responsibility for our results and I’m not for one minute suggesting he’s a top manager. I’m not sure he is responsible for our recent performances and maybe it is more down to Paco the new coach. But we are now playing much better. So to examine every game with a microscope to find reasons to blame the manager or anyone else as to why we didn’t get the desired result is ridiculous.

One thing is looking more certain and that is the demoralising effect Paqueta must have had on the group as since he has gone the team spirit and play is soooo much better. I didn’t like people slagging off paqman when he was here but looks like they may have been right all along……….
There you go I’m flip flopping again

0

12 Feb 2026 08:49:36
So what is it, Paqueta leaving or Nuno having an epiphany and metamorphosing into a wonder coach? 😁

0

12 Feb 2026 08:57:54
What we should be worried about, is Forest sacking Dyche. They might get someone in who actually knows what he’s doing!

0

12 Feb 2026 10:58:47
This won’t surprise you as I was one of the people slating Paqueta but I feel a lot of the recent change in fortune is because he’s gone. All 4 managers who had him at WH tried to build the side around him with the other 10 (possibly with the exception of Bowen) being bit part players. Having seen that the betting accusations were effecting him negatively that exercise should have ceased but all 4 persisted with it. My issue with Paqueta is that when the case was dropped he should have repaid the faith tenfold but we got nothing but an I don’t want to be here or in this country attitude.

I think his leaving coincides with Paco joining and Nuno perhaps learning from a few mistakes. To be honest if we continue to play in this manner which I’m finding enjoyable to watch and can continue to create and build on Tuesdays atmosphere (and of course stay up! ) who cares where we pre-portion positive responsibility.

0

12 Feb 2026 12:23:34
Surprisingly, I agree with you Dabber, but surely if the players started playing better football on Paco’s arrival, then shouldn’t he be the head coach, not the man who has no idea about positive, entertaining, attacking football?

2

12 Feb 2026 17:28:07
I tend to agree and said as much a couple of weeks ago ….big risk for Nuno taking on a 2nd in command that plays the game the West Ham way

0

10 Feb 2026 20:40:05
Potts is proving to be so ineffective. Fernandes n Soucek haven't stopped grafting.

0

10 Feb 2026 22:15:55
Sorry Brooking imo you are wrong, Potts kept Bruno quiet for pretty much all the game

4

10 Feb 2026 22:40:58
Sorry, disagree. Where we sat he looked well off the pace. Soucek n Fernandes covered a lot of his ground.

0

11 Feb 2026 01:46:48
Only just got back from the LS after the journey from Hell.
I thought we did okay. We did sit back a bit too much sometimes .
Not sure where the 7 minutes injury time came from. Some good performances. Disasi is definitely not the disaster that a Chelsea mate told me he was.

Tatty worked so hard.
One real positive is the atmosphere in the ground was rocking especially 2nd half. Best I have seen since the euro semi finals and like night and day from when potter and Loppy were at the helm

0

11 Feb 2026 04:09:23
I’m with you Dabber.
ā€œFrom where we sat ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€ As usual, Brooking likes to give the impression he’s a spokesman, when truly it looks like his seat is in the one and nines at a different stadium! 🤪

1

11 Feb 2026 09:55:11
I agree with Brooking on Souchek though Tinlegs 😁

0

11 Feb 2026 12:24:05
So do I. He had a good game.

0

11 Feb 2026 18:21:31
Hammer-D/ Brooking, yes agree with both your pointsšŸ‘Soucek, love this player, always does it for us and had a great game along with all the teamšŸ‘Find it boring analysing players but Tatty agree run his legs off, Fernandez, Summerville, terrific, everyonešŸ‘āš’āš’āš’

10 Feb 2026 18:23:32
Anybody fancy predicting tonight's score. I reckon 1-2 to United. i'm hoping the other way around but this is another team that's flying

1-1 or 2-2

With Palace beating Brighton, that has introduced many teams into the relegation fight: ourselves, Forest, Leeds, Spuds, Brighton, Palace.
Spuds and Brighton are currently on the worst run.
3 points v Utd on Tuesday would be magnificent, yet 1 would be good as well.

0

10 Feb 2026 17:43:19
We need 3 points tonight, palace have burnley at home and would be 12 points clear and safe if we lose, forest have wolves which will put them 6 points clear i'd say it's almost must win tonight

0

08 Feb 2026 09:35:06
I suppose the question is going to be, do we stick or twist with nuno if we survive?

0

08 Feb 2026 15:08:21
That’s a really difficult question to answer, a lot of things to take into account . I’ve changed my mind about Nuno numerous times. I did say I didn’t want him long term but that was before we actually started playing some good football.

But we don’t know how much impact Paco the new coach has had. I would say quite a lot as it seems since he has been here our form set up and style is so much better. Will Nuno keep doing dodgy substitutions or will he limit them in future

0

08 Feb 2026 17:16:53
Worrying about surviving first i think

0

08 Feb 2026 18:09:07
I think if we drop he has to go for sure.

0

07 Feb 2026 20:03:54
On the way home after today's game. We are on the M1. We thought the team played well. 4 wins in 5. We thought the keeper played well. He had one mad moment, but apart from that looked really solid. 442 or 4411 appears to suit us. Bowen was our least effective player.

0

07 Feb 2026 21:48:25
I think Bowen was ok wasn't his best game but just him being on the pitch makes the opposition wary and leaves space for others, was a decent performance AWB makes a massive difference in defence and I thought Mavro had a really good game

1

08 Feb 2026 13:39:11
āš’āš’āš’Only saw MOTD highlights but wow 2 lovely goals with great goal to each scorer from the passes which were sublimešŸ‘šŸ‘How satisfying for all the travelling away fans which cost them so much money and time! Don’t like to highlight individuals too much but, Summerville has come on in bundles, he’s not the lightweight he was previously and Fernandez is looking tremendous in each game!
Still a long way to go yet Obviously but it’s going to give us all so much more hope PL survival šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰āš’āš’āš’

First half, better than second, clean sheet, that's a rarity

3 points.behind now, can we keep this up on Tuesday night

You never know?

Massively encouraging, gives confidence to the team

Back in with a chance now

1

07 Feb 2026 17:21:20
Joyfull, 1 swallow doesn't make a summer We are going to have to play a lot better than that Tuesday night. I can't remember their goalie having to make a save. Bowen was pretty ineffective again.

0

07 Feb 2026 18:00:08
All you can say is we have now given ourselves a chance

It’s also a matter of belief and confidence, we have some of that, now ……the top sides, in general are a-country mile ahead of us, we accept that, Earlier today, Man Utd, could have scored 6 against Spurs

It’s going to be very difficult to keep them out Can we score against them, I think we can It’s football, you never know, if we had played like this in the first 18 games, we wouldn’t be in this position. For sure

Other teams may yet get dragged into this, I’ve watched Spurs and Palace, I don’t think they are any better than WH,

They have 6 point advantage, which is a lot, but that’s it, so 13 games, to go, with a bit of luck, we can get amongst them

1

07 Feb 2026 19:55:38
Merc fair enough it was only Burnley and Tuesday will be really difficult to get any sort of result against the current form team since they ditched Amorin. But 1 swallow doesn’t make a summer? They have wine 4 out of the last 5. We’ve had 1 disastrous 30 minute period due to the managers poor substitutions, and arguably the best football we have played for years in the first half of that match.

We were dead and burried in December but have turned it around. Regardless of how we get on against Utd on Tuesday and Forest do against Wolves on Wednesday we are still in with a good chance of staying up. I couldn’t care less if Burnley had more shots than us. We managed the game properly for a change

1

07 Feb 2026 21:41:38
Spurs and Palace have some tough fixtures ahead of them as well. Both of them are struggling amd I doubt Thomas Frank will see out the season

What's for sure is we are playing with more confidence and scoring goals, if we can tighten up at the back we've got a chance.

I still maintain Nuno will do well next season. OK some dodgy decisions, but he was brave today and it paid off

0

07 Feb 2026 16:59:10
Good result, 2 really nice goals and a clean sheet!

1

07 Feb 2026 15:46:06
We are going to win this as long as Nuno Ish*tmyself Santos doesn't make changes.

0

07 Feb 2026 16:21:04
Here we go. Nuno can’t help himself. Wilson off? If we lose this, it’s on Nuno Ish*tmyself Santo’s head.

0

07 Feb 2026 16:59:03
Anyone remember last time we kept a clean sheet

0

07 Feb 2026 17:50:20
Yeah against Forest away when Nuno was Forest manager

0

07 Feb 2026 18:00:14
I can’t see what you’re moaning about tin? I only read the reports and didn’t see the game but heard Wilson was pretty anonymous they had upped their game and had a lot of chances. He brought on Potts and we then started attacking again.

It’s what he should have done last week, brought on Potts but not a defender. I ain’t going to get carried away about a win against Burnley but for once it sounded like decent game management by the manager

0

07 Feb 2026 18:49:21
100% right HD, I watched the game and Wilson was knackered. Bringing Potts on was exactly the right move and as you said should have been the one he made last week. At least he learned the lesson.

Was also happy to see the goalkeeper change and the defence looked more assured. It was Burnley though with all respect and Man U will be a totally different proposition.

0

07 Feb 2026 21:37:25
Yeah agree DH I wasn’t keen on hermadsen but maybe he is a better option especially when you consider he has only played about 5 games and 2 of those have been our only 2 clean sheets

0

07 Feb 2026 22:29:48
I can only say I listened to the game on the radio and both commentators said that taking off Wilson changed the format from an attacking side to a defensive side. This is confirmed by the fact that we didn’t really look like scoring in the second half after the change. I can’t agree that the change was the right move as Burnley looked more threatening.

Potts should have been in the starting XI - not as a Wilson replacement, but instead of Soucek. We could have won this game by 3 or 4, not 0-2. Still, a win is a win, despite the tinkering by Nuno Santo.

0

08 Feb 2026 08:07:08
I hope Nuno doesn’t sho*t himself in the foot if we go into the lead against Man Utd. That game will be a real test of him and the players. COYI!

0

08 Feb 2026 10:30:45
Since Fernandes and Soucek have played centre midfield we’ve looked so much better. They appear to compliment each other. Long may the partnership continue šŸ™šŸ»

1

08 Feb 2026 11:29:27
I’m not keen on the tinkering but it worked. You were moaning last week that he should have started with Wilson which he did. We were under the cosh he removed one of the two players who weren’t contributing much and we easily saw the game out.

We’ve got a big game Tuesday night why should we risk injuries or have our players run themselves into the ground (especially one who only seems capable of 60 minutes play) when that match is on the horizon.

0

08 Feb 2026 14:25:14
I watched the whole game live and we really didn't need 2 up front to occupy the Burnley defence, Wilson was quietly effective and after 60 minutes his race was run. Burnley actually had their only decent spell between 45 - 65 minutes.

Once Nuno replaced Wilson with Potts they couldn’t get hold of the ball in the midfield and we easily saw out the rest of the game. I’m not going to slate Nuno just for the sake of it. He got it wrong against Chelsea but right yesterday.

0

08 Feb 2026 14:28:26
And Souchek had a really good game adding extra cover to the defence. He enables Fernandes to get forward and express himself

0

08 Feb 2026 19:16:36
Can’t agree with that, but you knew that before you posted, didn’t you Dabber?

0

09 Feb 2026 08:40:43
Which bit or all of it?

0

07 Feb 2026 15:42:05
So we have another 2 goal lead. When is kilman coming on?

0

07 Feb 2026 14:06:10
Any forecasts for today. I reckon 2-2. My worry is defending especially when kilman comes on

0

07 Feb 2026 14:43:57
I do fancy us to win but Burnley will be thinking the same. Disasi is a risk let’s hope he does well. Don’t like Hermadsen but again let’s hope he stakes his claim

0

07 Feb 2026 11:50:26
Morning all, it's a massive game today as they all are from now until end of season but this is a fixture we simply have to win, I'm worried about Kilman starting, maybe put Soucek in defence and start Potts in midfield at least Soucek can head the ball unlike Kilman, but if we play like we did in the first half at Chelsea then surely that would be good enough for a win, what's your thoughts guys?

0

07 Feb 2026 12:33:28
If you were to tinker then I would put Magassa in the central defence as he has played there. Even as well as we have played in the first half of the last few games I’m still not sure Souchek should even be on the pitch. Don’t get me wrong he hasn’t played bad and has a good effect on team spirit and morale. But last week he should have been substituted and not Bowen in favour of Potts and Magassa.

I think they will play Killman I hope they have been working on his awareness and confidence because everyone must pick up on it.
Without being too bold or complacent Burnley shouldn’t offer that much of a threat. Also the Killman substitution cost us the game last week but I don’t feel Killman himself was responsible for the loss and did nearly stop the second goal with a header. I am clutching for hope here

0

07 Feb 2026 07:27:25
On last night i'd say forest have two winnable games left. Next v wolves, but they have fenerbahce either side. They also got winnable game v palace. Otherwise they got tough run in.

Anyone wonder why we got disasi? Probably because no other club wanted him as he is nowhere near match fitness. We will see if he starts today but i'm betting he starts with kilman which is a serious worry

0

07 Feb 2026 10:10:10
Simple answer. CHEAP, like everything Sullivan does,

Only thing that might happen, Disasi May start to play to his limited potential, in order to put himself in the shop window

His wages are small for Chelsea, where he has 3 years left on his contract, and are not big for virtually any premier club

So he may decide to start playing to get a move away from Chelsea instead of rotting in the bomb squad

It’s a roll of the dice, for WH?

0

07 Feb 2026 12:59:04
I’ve heard rumours that Disasi, Hermadsen, and Wilson will start.

I’m not in the know so don’t know how much truth in that, if true that would be harsh on Areola. He is crap with commanding the box at corners but his shot stopping has been pretty good and I don’t rate hermadsen.

0

07 Feb 2026 14:43:19
Decent info, well done! , big test for No hands, and Disasi, you must ask yourself, can Wilson last 90.mins?
