I think Sanchez and ogbonna showed against city we gave more work to do on transfer front. Sell them both.

Mac3

1.) 25 Jul 2019 09:14:58
Be lucky to sell Sanchez, if we give him away and save his wages we can count ourselves lucky . He should never get near the squad he is really crap unbelievable he gets in the Colombian National side .
Ogbonna has been a liability for a couple of years now, we were so short of centre halves he got a number of games but if we have any ambition then we won’t see him again . We should get a small fee for him, but he has always tried it’s just that it’s not that good, lose his wages and give him a free if necessary .

Please somebody tell me that we've not wasted another summer chasing Gomez and rondon only for one to be going to Valencia and the other going to china.

Mac3

{Ed002's Note - Callum Wilson and Borja Iglesias might be next up on the list.}

1.) 06 Jul 2019 18:37:33
We'll end up with Rondon and Llorente.

2.) 06 Jul 2019 19:07:58
Transfer season is tough ed, at least the scatter gun is in the cabinet and some reason is being shown by the recruitment team ( for now lol )

{Ed002's Note - It is tough for lots of sides - and with multiple clubs looking at the same players a good sales pitch is required. If it includes Champions League it is a bonus. West Ham are still selling a project - but they are still better off than Everton and Arsenal.}

3.) 06 Jul 2019 19:11:30
No to Wilson, his knees are shot. Don’t know enough about Inglesias.

I am, however still has lying out hope for Gomez or Belotti.

4.) 06 Jul 2019 19:31:14
*still holding out hope for.

5.) 06 Jul 2019 19:34:26
Happy with belotti and gomez. Potentially chicharito to Valencia freeing up Gomez to us.

6.) 06 Jul 2019 20:08:47
I think Belotti has had knee injuries too. We were linked to weghorst and a few other strikers should be interesting to see who we end up with. Hopefully we haven't missed a trick with Moares going to villa. I remember ed mentioning a young French striker playing in ligue 2 not the attacker arsenal wanted. I hope we can get 2 strikers in the next couple weeks would be nice!

7.) 06 Jul 2019 22:10:40
id like to see what weghorst would be like in prem i wondered if he would be anotherjansen big old lad though carrolls replacement.

{Ed002's Note - Weghorst will not be joining WHU Noel.}

8.) 06 Jul 2019 22:27:56
Is that without doubt (or w’out for short)? 😁.

9.) 07 Jul 2019 16:54:04
Why do you say we're better off than Everton and Arsenal Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - Everton have been throwing money at the club with little success. They are located in a crumbling stadium in the grim, wet and cobbled streets of the Northwest of England where there would be a significant cultural change for players, smog, dead & dying pit ponies laying on the street, little chance of football at the highest level and only chips and fried curry to eat. Arsenal have no project to sell and a management structure that is a complete mess - and with money not being spent without significant sales they will struggle to inprove. West Ham have a project to sell, a very good stadium, owners who have seen the light about interfering and are attracting players over the other sides (e.g. Fornals).

10.) 07 Jul 2019 18:32:47
Point of interest. In the north west we don't have dead and dying ponies on our cobbled streetls in fact we have lots of filming such as peaky blinders, Cilla to name but a few. I would have thought London had far more air pollution than the north west. We have lots of fantastic restaurants we are not just pie and chips. Liverpool was capital of culture and last year staged the giants that attracted millions if people. we have cruise lines visiting the city. but of course would be a cultural bombshell to sign for any club up north! . that's what players must think when signing for lpool and man u and man city. jesus what about them cobbled streets! Players sign for money contracts and the hope of winning cups and medals. I find your reply disappointing and very stereotypical. Sad. Yes agree we have a crumbling stadium but that will be rectified in the coming years. but we have a passionate fan base and that counts more than a soulless stadium of which I could name a few. i always look out for your replies as you insight into dealings is second to none but I cannot and will not let you deride a club and and a region without reply. I find your response saddening.

{Ed002's Note - This is why you are a laughing stock I am afraid.}

11.) 07 Jul 2019 18:56:58
Of course you are always right 👍.

12.) 07 Jul 2019 19:15:42
Think ed2 may have been using humour.
Remember stan boardman, Jimmy starbuck etc?

13.) 07 Jul 2019 19:24:17
Sorry didn't realise ed02 was a comedian. my mistake. Leave it at that .

14.) 07 Jul 2019 22:30:17
Ed be careful or you will Ave big DUNCAN FERGUSON after you😂😂😂.

15.) 08 Jul 2019 06:13:23
Sdblue you don’t even have jellied eels in the north west so how can you suggest you have any food culture at all ;)

16.) 08 Jul 2019 06:41:51
😂. another positive for the north west.! . always look at the west ham site as both clubs always seem to be going for the same players! Anyways good luck to the hammers for the forthcoming season👍. NB. where has iron Mike gone on your site? Thought he had lots of good info. Cheers.

17.) 08 Jul 2019 19:08:46
Sdblue1, I don’t go for throwing derisory remarks to posters on our site, I think you were very restrained in being so polite in your responses, which is to be admired👍I personally wouldn’t have been inclined to make such a passive remark, so well done you👍Iron Mike no longer posts on here?

18.) 08 Jul 2019 20:27:23
Thanks. not my style to vent back in anger . I just wanted to paint a different picture to the one painted - didn't insult but was insulted back. that's life 😉. good luck for next season (obviously just behind Efc😉😂)

19.) 10 Jul 2019 09:03:48
I must say when i went to Livepool Stadium the area was like going back 60 years at Avestone road Manor park before it was knocked down Its blighted by boarded up 2up 2down old houses i'm sure the coucil know this as the area is due a big revamp as a lot of Liverpool has in the last few years. Their are some rearly nice areas and a few that needs revamping to say the least but London East was the same before the Docklands project happened. Livepooll stadium and Everton stadium will be taken down and rebuilt so let's not forget we too had an old woderful Stadium but it was time to move as i'm sure Everton has plans too.

09 Jan 2018 14:30:33
Big bet has been placed on Lanzini to Liverpool and conte has not ruled out a move for Andy Carroll. I hope we have contingency plan in case they leave.

Mac3

1.) 09 Jan 2018 17:08:12
Looks like the Dendoncker rumour is gathering pace, £20m could do it?

2.) 09 Jan 2018 17:34:06
Apparently we've asked them to name there price which is believed to be around £20m. He reminds me of a bigger stronger michael carrick. At £20m it's a snip so get the job done.

27 Dec 2017 20:31:50
Has anybody had any thoughts about which players we will be offloading in January and how much they are valued at. I would suggest obiang, kouyate, ayew, Carroll and maybe defender any thoughts?

Mac3

1.) 28 Dec 2017 12:47:11
IF it where at all possible I'd shift the lot, barring just a few IRONMIKE.

26 Aug 2017 23:34:14
Why can we all see what needs to be done but we know those in charge are naive enough to think our current management ie bilic can improve us? Is somebody going to wake up and realise which direction we are heading?

Mac3

1.) 27 Aug 2017 01:07:15
And I forgot HART he hasn't got near anything I'm not blaming him for our defeat but I said when we loaned him I don't rate him I I think that's justified the mitrovic goal I thought you're meant too dive at their feet he was miles away I think ADRIANS BETTER SORRY NOT THINK I KNOW.

2.) 27 Aug 2017 10:22:55
Credit to hart though for supporting rice. Shame on noble. I mean if the defense wasn't so bad then maybe hart would look a bit better. He's left so exposed by what we call our back 4.

3.) 27 Aug 2017 11:59:23
Agree Dave, hart has no protection and nor would Adrian!

Rumour gathering pace over Benitez returning to premier league. Maybe we should be the front runners for his signature.

Mac3

{Ed002's Note - I don't think his return will be imminent.}

1.) 15 Nov 2019 18:38:23
Not imminent but he is definitely interested in a return to premier league.

2.) 19 Nov 2019 18:34:59
Hmmm this Benitez story seems to be gathering some momentum with various experts voicing there opinions on his potential appointment. Pellegrini under huge pressure at west ham and defeat this weekend could force the board to take action with Chelsea and wolves away next and arsenal at home?

27 Aug 2019 19:42:11
Sanchez and Wilshire in midfield.

Mac3

1.) 27 Aug 2019 22:41:30
Wilshere did ok eventually, but Sanchez always looks like a misplaced pass. I’ll take the 2:0 win and move on.

2.) 29 Aug 2019 01:46:38
What does wilshire have to do I understand why people dislike him because his injury record is atrocious but for me his ability has never been in question can you imagine going out to play not knowing if you are going to pick up another injury and break down he was the only player in midfield who looked like he could open up a defence he got MOTM if you asked me to chose between wilshire snodgrass sanchez or noble to play with rice then wilshire has more ability than all bar rice for me snodgrass was shocking and is distinctly average and sanchez always looks like he's a mistake waiting to happen we don't look great at the back and Cresswell has to be sold I thought ajeti showed some good awareness and good touches but overall it wasn't great but you will never look good in games where you are on a hiding to nothing. COYI.

3.) 29 Aug 2019 17:33:30
Didn’t see the game to be honest, but I did see Wilshire’s goal which he took really well, so I will give him a big👍 for the way he put it past the keeper it wasn’t an easy chance! My criticism is more why did we buy Wilshere when he is a walking crock than his ability! You can only show how good you are when you play 90 minutes continually for a large part of the season, no Premiership club can afford part timers on immoral salary, awful example to others that remain available for selection on a lot less wages!
I think the result was very good for an away game when we could have been another big banana skin and scalp for Newport as Markro said👍 Hope for another 3 points on Saturday⚒⚒⚒.

4.) 30 Aug 2019 00:36:09
Glad we won as you can easily come unstuck against these sides. You can only beat who you play against but Sanchez and Wilshire don’t impress me just because they looked okay against 4th tier midfielders. Hope to see them put up performances against Premier League midfields.

5.) 30 Aug 2019 21:47:32
Good points Chelmsford mate about jack I just think if and a big if he can stay fit I think he can gives us more than snodgrass who I am sorry mate but just do not rate him one bit a decent championship player at best IMO but it's all about opinions. COYI.

20 Aug 2019 20:15:29
Strange my post about dendoncker went AWOL. Not a bad buy for wolves af £12m and to think we chased him fir most of a transfer window.

Mac3

1.) 21 Aug 2019 07:22:41
Maddison wouldn’t have been a bad buy either, but MP or the board seem to prefer overseas who then either may not settle, or have to take time to bed in, considering we are desperate in defence/ midfield what a great buy he would have been, but again we dithered after apparently registering an interest, his value has escalated since, ironic when sell on values and ages are often the keyword! IMO for the £150 / £160m we have spent, I would have preferred fewer players with Premiership knowledge and no known injury problems, although we all know of exceptions especially at our club😂🤣 Hoping for massive improvement against Watford⚒⚒⚒⚒.

2.) 21 Aug 2019 08:19:42
Agreed chelmsford. Maddison, dendoncker with. maybe lobotka would have been decent midfield. With decent full backs and we mat gave higher ambition.

3.) 21 Aug 2019 22:31:47
We are where we are, gentlemen. Haller will make a difference up front as he gives us a real target man, who will win headers.

20 Jul 2019 11:53:25
Not great today 1-0 to Newcastle but still early days. Don't like our left side. Ogbonna not good or cresswell. Midfield slow too many cross the pitch balls and no great threat. But hey goid run out to get match fit.

Mac3

1.) 20 Jul 2019 15:34:32
Reid ogbonna and cresswell were all very poor on and off the ball. Cullen was abit of a passenger first half with slight improvement in the second. Hernandez offered nothing.

Johnson looked solid though and looks like he could be good cover for both RB and LB and could push for a starting place throughout the season. Looks like we will be starting our season with Mausuaku and Frederick's as our full backs.

2.) 20 Jul 2019 17:47:31
God help us on the left. Teams will play down our left every time.

3.) 20 Jul 2019 20:56:29
When mausuaku got back into the team he was solid for the remainder of the season just you feel with him their is always a mistake waiting to happen.

Someone like Tierney would be ideal for us can play CB and LB. It's clear we need to invest more in the defensive side of the team.

4.) 21 Jul 2019 00:56:24
Without Noble we’re look leaderless and toothless.

5.) 22 Jul 2019 00:59:13
If NOBLE is our saviour then championship football next season. COYI.

6.) 25 Jul 2019 16:24:53
Noble is invaluable to the team
But we need quality midfielders so we can rotate him and sub him when winning easily
Obiang was ok but the £8M is better for funding reinforcements .
Doubt we will have such luck when trying to rid ourselves of Sanchez who had to be the worst midfielder in the league. We may be lucky and some mug may sign him ad we get his wages off the salary roll . If they please let’s pay him u and breathe a sigh of relief that he will never wear a West Ham shirt again . I just can’t believe he gets in the Colombian side, maybe he is rodgering the coach?

06 Jan 2018 19:06:21
It seems Barcelona agree £142m deal for coutinho. What odds and value on lanzini to Liverpool I wonder?

Mac3

1.) 06 Jan 2018 19:15:13
If they paid 75m for vvd I'd want same for lanzini especially as he only 24.

2.) 06 Jan 2018 19:20:56
Look at it this way, I think we would all agree that Lanzini is at least half as good as Coutinho so I would say starting price is half of what Coutinho went for £70m, but then again how long has Lanzini got left on his contract.

3.) 06 Jan 2018 19:59:26
I read in 40 million would do it, lanzini has been ok this year but nowhere near his best, the problem is replacing him not how much we would get for him though.

4.) 06 Jan 2018 20:32:28
When he plays well he runs the game for us so in this inflated market his value should not be under estimated. If by some miracle we were to get £45m that would get carvallho and Shelley me thinks?

5.) 06 Jan 2018 21:05:20
Shelvey even.

6.) 06 Jan 2018 21:40:09
Id say with age on his side 50 mill or don't bother adking.

Agreed Sullivan might be starting to get as disillusioned as the rest of us. £27m for fornals what a joke and as for the goalie Roberto, wow who chose him out of all the options out there. Midfield gets cut to pieces and can't cover for defenders. Defence looks shaky at best and Haller looks lost up front with no service. Time for a change? Maybe, maybe not but managers are judged by performances and results and since oxford we have been dire. The buck stops with the manager I'm afraid.

What a shocking performance. Seems no interest, no urgency and no tempo against this Everton team that had gosls disallowed and numerous other chances. It could easily have been 6 or 7 if not more. This lot needs a shake up disgraceful.

Time for changes. God knows where we start but the premier league is to tough to carry on like this until we are in deep trouble and then make changes when it's too late.
