Danny ings Celtic maybe?
01 Feb 2025 18:34:07
West ham have apparently bid £33m for Eli Junior Kroupi but his club are holding out for £35m, but talks are progressing. Will we go the extra £2m? Knowing West Ham I doubt it. Don't go to bed lol

Has the world gone mad, 30 mil for an 18 yr old who has scored 3 goals in 8 appearances. WTH
2.) 01 Feb 2025 20:28:13
I do t know if this contradicts you Gerry and I don’t mean to if it does, I was just reading that scouts are watching him tonight and he scored the opening goal in the game his 10th of the season. I will be honest I know nothing about him.
3.) 01 Feb 2025 22:28:48
The price of strikers is disproportionate to other positions, I agree it seems mad money for an 18 year old, without even top French league experience, for me it’s a gamble, but a rich one at that, WH go from one extreme to another
4.) 02 Feb 2025 00:40:49
Playing in ligue 1 at 17 he had a 11 starts and 19 appearance from the bench scored 5 and assisted 3, now he has 10 goals and 2 assists in 12 starts in ligue 2. not bad at all for his age huge money involved, I'm sure I read Bournemouth were close to agreeing a 10m fee the other day.
Seems strange that we would suddenly pay 30m for an 18 year old striker, when there are other players we could have got that will have an immediate impact. Either we are doing this to try help in negotiations with Brighton for ferguson or mcauley has identified him.
Having looked at clips of him he is very quick, good movement, good finishing and his link up play is good, with the way potter has had us playing so far he will get plenty of chances.
5.) 02 Feb 2025 06:55:49
It doesn’t make sense as so much was made of the purchase of Guilherme at a lower price.
In regards to Ferguson what is his record like when not injured? I remember when he came on the scene and I put him in my fantasy football team and he scored a lot of points. I think I put him in the following season but soon took him out as I don’t think he got a look in.
31 Jan 2025 13:15:56
It's all looking very bleak out there with reported targets dropping left, right and centre but we still have 2 days left so I can live in hope that Mcaulay can work some magic
1.) 31 Jan 2025 17:25:30
It’s the same story year after year with the wheeler dealer at the helm. Like many I had many an issue with some of the business that TS did. It was still far superior to the way this muppet does his dealing. Phantom bids leaked stories scapegoats at the ready and still we have the oldest and one of the smallest squads. No ambition, and the way he tries to do lowball offers I wouldn’t blame other clubs to just ignore us or up the prices.
I’m sure we will end up with someone but I’m sure they will either be old, cheap, have a bad injury record or all of the above.
2.) 01 Feb 2025 13:09:13
Hammer-D how would you conduct our business then this transfer window? We do not hold any of the cards, the selling clubs hold them all. What’s classed as a lowball offer in January could be seen as a reasonable one in June. Surely the best policy is to attempt to get a couple of bargains in January and do your proper business in the summer?
3.) 01 Feb 2025 15:46:47
Personally I think we could really do with 3 players an additional centre back, a speedy midfielder and a forward. Because I don’t think the season is over I think the way potter has changed our play we could be in with an outside chance of Europe and that would attract players in the summer. If that doesn’t happen and we get nobody in of decency then we pick up a few injuries we could end up in trouble.
I would have far more respect for DS if he were to come out and say, because of money wasted in the summer I won’t sanction any new buys. But what we get is these bizarre offers way, way below asking price, or what seem to be lies, like the Duran rubbish. As has been stated by others he only seems to want to deal with a few agents BS and WS and we will end up with one of their rubbish like Andre Gomes. According to our chairman we bid 57 million for Duran. Not true from what I’ve heard but then surely there is 57 million available for 2 or 3 other players. If you are the owner and it’s up to you how much we spend and you don’t want to spend any money, that’s fine just be honest and say so. We are now in for a last minute Jordan hugill i'm sure hopefully I am wrong but nothing thus far seems to suggest that.
30 Jan 2025 18:34:08
Nobody else think it odd that as soon as we bid for Pepsi he suddenly gets a serious knee injury? Ya de yaaaaaa
BANZUZI also wanted by various clubs in france.
I think we will end up with Andre Silva till Summer which wouldn't be a bad thing if we get him fit firing on all cylinders. And when summer comes have clear out
1.) 31 Jan 2025 06:50:06
I'd be very happy with banzuzi and ferguson
30 Jan 2025 09:10:38
I bet Mcaulay and Potter have just had an eye opener showing them "we are nothing like Chelsea"? I bet they recommended Pepi to Sullivan who then placed what the Dutch are calling "hilarious" £20m bid. Let's not forget that seemingly Potter priority is Ferguson APPARENTLY? what a load of

I'm really glad that Luis Guilherme is going to be given an opportunity to prove himself with Potter because I think in the right hands he could be moulded to be a star for us. Every time I've seen this kid he's looked good. Frightening pace and skill. What's not to like. That £20m could turn out to be a wise investment
30 Jan 2025 06:56:44
RICARDO PEPI? check this fella out. Forget Ferguson. Go get this guy
1.) 30 Jan 2025 21:17:57
Very good player but will never happen in my lifetime mac. COYI
2.) 31 Jan 2025 11:02:24
Long term injury. Move on.
26 Jan 2025 17:27:05
Tell you what, loads better from us today in this first half. It's glaringly obvious where our shortfalls are so we have a week to sort it out. Massive improvement we just need a few key players changing Coufal for one! He is rubbish
1.) 26 Jan 2025 18:39:53
I thought we played pretty well apart from the first 15 minutes. Considering we have no strikers I was pretty impressed. Scarles has to be starting and try and incorporate Emerson in somewhere in a back 3
2.) 26 Jan 2025 18:45:23
2nd half I reckon is the best I've seen us play for an absolute age.
Thought we were really unlucky not to come away with 3 points which, considering the injuries is a testament to the players and the manager.
3.) 26 Jan 2025 18:47:06
Pretty much thought the same Mac first half but second half he played really well and allowed AWB to assist the attack. Great 2nd half, we were really good to watch!
4.) 27 Jan 2025 12:47:54
And Paqueta was back to his old self, but will it last?
25 Jan 2025 15:36:56
So Banzuzi deal stalled, Brobbey deal stalled. Am guessing this will be the story of the entire window. The club is a joke run by clowns and sooner Sullivan, krezinsky, Brady, Gold and co are gone the better. It's been said before "Market stall behaviour turning the way west ham do business into the laughing stock of the football world"
1.) 25 Jan 2025 16:14:18
This is West Ham. We will have a few loans on last day of the window and will make Soler a permanent transfer.
Some much flannel on here and YouTube.
It’s who we are
24 Jan 2025 08:24:07
BRIAN BROBBEY AJAX. Bull of a striker, electric pace, skillful, holds the ball up well. A 24 year old Antonio with more pace amd skill.
Exactly what we need
1.) 24 Jan 2025 11:24:26
And yet people are still moaning as he hasn't been that prolific this season, he's also only 22 mate.
2.) 24 Jan 2025 12:20:21
Brobbey has 52 goals and 26 assists in 148 appearances for Ajax compared to 83 goals and 40 assists in 323 for Antonio. (It's actually 55 goals and 29 assists in 192 for Michail if you only count the games where he was a designated CF)
Considering Brobbey isn't even 23 until next week those stats appear pretty decent, albeit in a weaker league.
Honestly don't know much about the guy, but an obligatory look at his you tube highlights do show that he's strong, deceptively quick and looks good receiving the ball with his back to goal as well as being able to find the back of the net.
He seems to me to be a more mobile version of Marlon Harewood rather than a Michail Antonio type imo.
All I do know is that we need someone up front and this guy, on paper at least looks like he could fit the bill.
3.) 24 Jan 2025 12:25:18
Agreed and still learning. He has electric pace and he is strong and good finisher and only young so just what we need and Potter can mould him. A little composure in front of goal and he could be lethal. Forget Andre Silva
11 Feb 2025 16:31:49
Yeah but once opponents get past that team you'd like to hope the goalkeeper would be reliable
11 Feb 2025 05:26:58
It's about time we did something about changing the keeper because Fab and Areola make too many mistakes.
I do hope in the summer that we finally properly address the striker issue because our failure to recruit a fit strong goalscorer who can actually score is becoming legendary
07 Feb 2025 16:58:41
Hey Dabber, all messing about aside, I think we could see some real gems arrive in the summer and I'm really excited for the future of our beloved club. In Potter I think it's in safe hands
06 Feb 2025 19:51:44
A long way to go until Summer window and if anything like last window I'm not holding my breath. Reckon hojland could do a job for us but there are better, faster and cheaper out there!
05 Feb 2025 20:23:50
Thanks Joyful. I think Summer will be a very busy time for Potter as he has a bit of a tidy up. I'd love to know aguerd value in summer. I think kudus, paqueta, mavropanos and a few others will also be gone. Exciting times ahead
11 Feb 2025 05:29:22
So are we looking at another long painful Summer transfer window?
04 Feb 2025 18:28:09
Agreed Gerry N P. POTTER will be very very busy over the summer but, on the positive side, we've already had a taste of the sort of players they will be targeting which is very exciting
04 Feb 2025 15:11:10
Tend to agree with your Summary BROOKING. How long however before the natives start getting restless. 1 win in 5 under Potter (although we have improved), desperately thin on the bench last night, not a lot done in the window to address player shortfalls and still a long way to go till end of season!
I have total faith in Potter, however, I think Sullivan and Co will come in for some severe criticism should this trend continue.
03 Feb 2025 15:43:04
I got to be honest, joking aside, I've been quite pleased with this window. We got rid of LOP and his followers (which cost the club) . Then we brought in current Gaffer and his team and Mcaulay (which again cost the club) . We got rid of TS (Which cost us AGAIN), the football has improved massively, we brought in a young striker, got JWP back and under Potter I think he will flourish AND we then got Daniel Cummings from Celtic who is supposedly the next Shearer. All in all, it's what we were crying out for and a great platform to build on in the summer. got to be pleased with all that surely?
02 Feb 2025 14:54:13
Too late!
