WH, follow up bid for Kilman late this morning likely to get rejected IMO IF they want this player, they will need minimum 35 m plus a string of easy Addons making 40/ 42 m, and NO long spread of payments either, wolves need the money, but Spurs have woken up, as have. Man untd . Wolves may take a breather, and hope there's another higher cash bid, Newcastle, and various player exchanges not wanted, they are showing like WH they are, not too flush with funds!under new rules

Generally think we could get 2 better CB's for less.

Couple of so called ITK s have recently stated WH have passed on many deals, because they were quoted too high a price, that's like saying coal is black, of course they have, so has every club, even at the top of the pyramid, Arsenal valued a player at £40 m which they bid, it was rejected, selling cub wants 60 m ok fair enough., Arsenal withdrew, it's normal, WH will try and pick up 2/3 free transfers and maybe a loan or two, because many players are needed, it's been proved time and again, players can be picked up for reasonable amounts, that's the job Steidten and Loppy took on, let them do it, along way To go and many clubs will have to offload players to meet with new rules, and WH DONT

Hearing 18 m euro bid for Oosterwolde Going in on Monday, Napoli , look to match our bid, Everton no bid as yet so far, another Italian club also watching, more interest in this player, than thought, might have to raise to 21/22 m

Clement Longlet, Can't be certain of the details at this time but it seems WH, are being offered this player. On a season long loan, no obligation to buy, WH to pay him 100k week approx, Barcelona to give WH the balance of 175k k a week to cover his wages, ! if WH want to retain him at seasons end i, a further deal can be discussed, He's not a bad player, Centre backs are needed, no fees required, i, what it does do of course, is one less player to find for this season, and can spread the search, to a later date, it's being considered, don't know what way WH will go, I think it. Unlikely

Joyful

{Ed002's Note - Clement Lenglet (CB) Not worked out at Spurs or Aston Villa and will likely return to Barcelona to be sold as his value is less than his annual salary.

They are not going to let him go on loan and pay a huge amount for the priviledge.}

1.) 14 Jun 2024 15:26:39
A bit Different to what I heard, but those maths make sense, not many clubs going to pay those wages, certainly not West Ham, unless he’s off to Saudi, Barcelona will find it hard to offload him, thanks Joyful

2.) 14 Jun 2024 19:31:44
It seems we are in for a Colombian striker called Jhon Arias. Says on C&H signing imminent and should sign for around £11 Million in the next few days.
It seems slightly different to the usual rumour this seems more certain

Villa contact WH, knowing we need full backs, to offer Matty Cash, Milan apparently where in for him but short of cash ( not a pun ), Villa, wanted 30 m, but they would have sold at 20 m, to Milan don't know if there's any interest here, but don't think so imo WH wouldn't value him above 15 m / Palace would theoretically be in a position to buy Raheem Sterling, as Olise and Eze look to be on their way, WH have been offered a massive 3 year wage subsidy of approx 200 k a week! If we buy Sterling, he's great on his day, but now 29 so no onward value, and he will be on minimum 125 k a week, can't see him coming to us, seems we are looking for much younger players, which is the correct path in my view

Joyful

1.) 13 Jun 2024 13:54:44
I can’t see Steidten/Loppy being interested in Sterling. It seems the wingers we’ve been targeting/ linked with are all young, high quality players with plenty of time to get even better and all would be appreciating assets.

Forget, all this Calvin Lewin, talk he's likely Newcastle, , and silly money on top of it OK Callum Wilson, is being pushed by Will Salthouse, Yes we should have bought him from Bournemouth, years ago, that's for sure, he's now 32, can he still do a job, yes, I think so, , for a couple of years maybe, but not as main striker CMON, WH get real, But to replace Danny Ings that's great, his wages at Magpies 40 k, a week so for WH no problem, small transfer fee only. Don't pay NO big numbers, dead money, no sell on fee, We are still chasing Miranda, and so many others, it's time to start getting signings in

Yeah agreed Joyful before other teams start kicking their summer into gear

Alex Garcia to WH was always a thin chance, as soon as Leverkusen matched WH wages, with champions league football to offer, thin chance ended, nothing to do with too expensive that's just nonsense, So yet another new player, Soulé, enters the fray, not a great chance with this one either and it's 25 m plus, so logically how can Garcia be too expensive and Soulé isn't, just journalists making things up

Joyful

1.) 12 Jun 2024 19:50:41
Yeah exactly considering our entire transfer budget us £100m plus any player sales. I'm more concerned with this season ticket fiasco?

2.) 12 Jun 2024 20:11:19
Soulé has been playing 2nd tier football in Italy, though from what I’ve seen, he has a great left foot, (we seem to be blessed with a few of those already) excellent dribbling skills and really good vision to split defences. Good pace off the mark too.

The PL is a different ballgame, though, but if Loppy is confident he could get the best out of him, who knows?

Whilst it’s great to be interested in these talented young wingers (Guilherme, Wesley and now Soulé) we all know we need to sort out a decent striker and do something about our defence.

I wonder if Loppy was tasked with a top half finish and a positive goal difference for the first year of his tenure.

3.) 13 Jun 2024 06:52:59
Defnitely Mmpr and we are crying out for FULL BACKs of a decent quality. Emerson and Coufal potentially leaving for GALATASARY and ROMA respectively, leaves us CRESSWELL (god help us) and Johnson (who could also be gone. I'm not sure why after all these years MOYES refused to invest in decent full backs but he was quick to go for CB's?

4.) 16 Jun 2024 14:00:51
Daisy. I’m with you on the Cresswell issue. I’ve been hoping and praying for two years to get shot of him.
I wasn’t particularly fussed when I heard Johnson was leaving either. Neither showed enough over the last season or two.
The squad needs a proper facelift. Zouma out, Creswell out, Johnson out and Aguerd out. I’d keep both JWP and Soucek. JWP struggled playing as a defensive midfielder as it really isn’t his bag.
Cornet never got a proper chance in my opinion.
The only players I’d hang onto are Bowen, Soucek. JWP, kudus, Alvarez Mavrapanos and Areola.

11 Jun 2024 17:37:14
Clever Villa, no club interested in paying 70 m for Douglas Luis, so they are swapping with Juventus, getting Illing junior, Weston makennie and 20m in cash Juventus want to give a third player maybe, instead of cash, we should perhaps try swaps with Athletico if Aguerd., wants to go there, or indeed anywhere else, saves messing about, might suit. All parties involved, , despite all the stories, saying othewise, , and although there has been enquiries and contact, regarding Miranda, Greaves and Kilman, as of tonight, there's nothing happened with any of these players, tomorrow who knows? But nothing at all as of tonight

The window isn’t open yet and jLO doesn’t start until the 1st of July as he would be the best person to get the ball moving in regards to Killman.

2.) 12 Jun 2024 07:05:00
Hey Joyful, and when you think about it the VILLA Approach makes a lot of sense. So we virtually signed Guiillerme and Foderingham (don;t be too surprised if this goes belly up) and we are now going back for WESLEY Gassova, interesting. Next up is That Jota Silva. Lopetegui is pushing hard for ALEIX GARCIA which will transform our midfield with him and ALVRAEZ. Could mean the end for SOUCEK and JWP.

Zouma on his way to anyone who will actually bid as is Aguerd and OGBONNA has gone. Also EMERSON may well be on his way and Interest from TURKEY in Coufal, so major defensive rebuild on the cards. WHilst we are looking at VITAO and Nehuén Pérez amongst others.

Rumours also circling we are after Kostic again.

And of course we are linked with every striker under the sun. I still think he will go get EN NESYRI

3.) 12 Jun 2024 14:43:56
Forget ALEIX Garcia on his way to Leverkusen

05 Jun 2024 16:21:39
Omorodion, looks to be a gamble, he looks the part, but ? If we go for him we have to trust in Steidtens judgement full stop / whilst, Mubama looks the part and whilst there might be those on this site, that rate him, sorry I don't, WH idea might be contract extension, send him out on loan, to championship see what happens, but he's no first team player at present, Ben Johnson, is a decent Squad player, pulls up no trees, but is useful it seems he has cooled down his wage demands apparently, so yes I would keep him on, Meanwhile , not JOTA SILVA, but the other winger JOTA, we where after in January, has become available from Saudi, and a loan situation is possible, new names popping up daily

Joyful

1.) 05 Jun 2024 20:37:56
I'm fearing this scatter gun approach will ensue again

2.) 05 Jun 2024 23:38:35
Not going to judge Mubama based on Moyes ball. Only have to look at how well Haller and Scamacca have done since leaving us. Would be a shame to lose him.

Hi Daisy, Why not Diaz is lively and quick, Newcastle, are bound down with new regulations, that’s why there looking for free agents like Lloyd Kelly, they are having to get shot of another couple of players, one is likely to be Almiron, to balance their books, So very unlikely they would come up with 100k plus plus for Bowen, lots of clubs being held down with new rules, funnily enough this could work in our favour, with a relatively small budget, which we can spend however without any problems, Villa are now carping, threatening to take the new rules to court, stating it’s anti competitive!

Sorry, got to counteract this rubbish on Sullivan, he had already agreed the fee of 30 m euro, it was the personal terms that couldn’t be struck, but Iron Al, you are correct my friend, youngster going to ruin his career playing Saudi rubbish, greed in the eyes of his agent, persuading him not to play in premier league, the boy needs proper advice, he could play in Europe the next 13 years then go to Saudi, !

Hi Daisy, it’s the West Ham new way of keeping expectations down, stops fans expecting too much, avoids possible failures, and keeps other clubs prices down ( they hope ) it’s baseline 90 m plus expected sales of at least three adding at least 50. M Making 140 m, plus percentage of profits made for last season, less some above average expenses, imo it can run to. 175./190 m, lots of time to go patience is going to be the key

Agreed, apart from maybe one big signing, there won’t be sufficient funds, to cover all the positions, unless it’s done carefully, which is exactly how it’s shaping up and, to get us into a competitive side won’t be easy, we must go with Tim and Loppy, we also don’t seem to be interested in free agents at present, with names popping up daily like Memphis Depay ( big wages ) and Iheanacho , and interest has been dropped on El Nesyri as well, who I thought was a shoe in, it’s very entertaining, to say the least, we must all see how things roll out

The base of 90 m is correct, as I had worked out myself, it wasn’t difficult sales from Kehrer onward must be added, Aguerd looks definite, to go / Benharama , if Lyon can get round their transfer ban will leave, (Or he returns to squad, ) looks like we can run to 140 m without any pressure, WH have to soak up the 35% approx uplift on all transfers and. Various fees involved, NEXTSUMMER, or before, we will need similar funds, as end of contracts come for Zouma Ings, Antonio, Fabianski, and Cresswell, that’s if Zouma Ings and Cornet. Are still with us, they are going to be hard to shift beforehand, you know their individual stories and high wages, it’s going to be a big job, for Steidten for sure, but he had great success at Leverkusen, now it’s the turn of West Ham! To make the changes
