Brilliant idea, get Fulkrug, and play Antonio as second striker, leave Duran he's 5 m too much ! There's a hole in our plans as big as Blackwall Tunnel, you got this badly wrong Timmy boy

Sure it wasn't Sullivan joyful. He's got history for it . Kante went to Leicester instead of us over £500 000 .

2.) 03 Oct 2024 14:51:05
I agree. My guess it was Sullivan, wearing his secondhand Ford Cortina hat. It’s got his fingerprints all over it.

James Tomkins training with Wolves, they are considering, signing him as a free agent

Good luck to him.

Something else to consider now, whilst this morning, a meeting is being arranged, to discuss the present situation, players to be chased in January etc, this will not include Loppy at this stage, My point is this, what players are wanting to come to fight a likely relegation battle?

A whole new situation is developing here, also if Loppy gets the push in 4 weeks time, who can WH get in? Also it has now become clear that the only two players Loppy wanted were Kilman and Bissaka, all the rest were Steidtens choices, so the tangle needs unraveling and quickly.

Joyful

1.) 26 Sep 2024 15:12:19
Likely relegation battle? Let's see after the next 5 games.

2.) 26 Sep 2024 19:03:29
Could be Al, none of us can make predictions, we must part with Loppy if this continues, can’t be left in a bad position, with too many games, played, begs the question who can they get?

3.) 27 Sep 2024 07:57:26
Potter or Tuchel are free. I thought Potter would've suited us.

4.) 27 Sep 2024 10:35:14
Depends who would choose him. If it’s left to Sullivan again, we’ll get another Salthouse client, with no regard to abilities.
Tuchel would be a nightmare. He causes problems wherever he goes. Howe might be free by then. Amorim would be my choice, but he’d cost money and whether he would want to come here is doubtful. I can’t believe we are talking about coaches already! Whoever it might be, there needs to be a PI clause in his contract. Let’s hope JLop can turn things around, but somehow I can’t see it.

5.) 27 Sep 2024 11:20:26
It’s ironic that you say that Loppy’s only two transfer choices were Killman and AWB. I would argue thus far they have been the only two that have seemed like good buys. Along with Summerville who apparently, was neither a Loppy or TS choice. I would imagine Soler would have been a JLo choice.
I can’t help feeling this is far too knee-jerk, yes it looks bad at the moment but remember how poor Bournemouth were at the start of last season, I think they lost the first 8 games but ended up having a really good season and were playing better stuff than they did under Eddie Howe

24 Sep 2024 21:30:26
No extra knowledge about this, but it was Steidten, chasing after Todibo and Guilherme, now we are hearing stories about BOTH of these players being below premiership level, and the manager doesn't want to play either, WH cannot afford to waste this kind of money on two players like this, can't get to the bottom of contract agreement with Todibo, maybe if he doesn't start at least a dozen games, they can send him back nextsummer, Guilhermes just vanished, doesn't play any competitive games at any level, for 20 m plus!, What's going on, if neither of these play on Wednesday, than something is seriously. Wrong,

Joyful

1.) 25 Sep 2024 07:56:48
Hi Joyful, Guilhermes was always going to be a long-term option. Todibo has the quality and just needs to be match fit. Nothing too much here concerns me. I would rather players are fit and hungry.

2.) 25 Sep 2024 09:55:27
Ham, the long term business to me is crap, imo we need here and now, hit the ground running, who can predict the weather years ahead stupidity! Any long term investment can suffer a bad injury rendering any future useless, this dynamic duo are not turning out to be anywhere near dynamic imo⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

3.) 25 Sep 2024 16:46:21
Guilherme played last night.

4.) 25 Sep 2024 18:04:09
Mmpr, is correct Guilherme not only played last night he scored against Benflica

5.) 26 Sep 2024 07:31:06
Against the BENFICA U21's. Not the Benfica 1st team

21 Sep 2024 19:20:12
TBH, I am hoping we don't get crushed on Wednesday. Our confidence is non existent. The Liverpool game could put us into a real tailspin. They have 6 strikers to choose from. We have eerrr, none.

We must hope they play some squad members, and have a really bad night. We had some bad games last season, but today was worse.

Joyful

1.) 21 Sep 2024 20:05:04
Well. positives today = none. Pacqueta needs to be dropped, he is as poor as it gets. On this form we could go down. Personally, I don't see Loppy lasting the season. We are in for a TOUGH TOUGH season.
Moyes must be laughing right now. It's shows how well organised we were with him. 3 successful years of Europe and a trophy are a long way off now. We are a million years from it.

2.) 21 Sep 2024 21:33:07
Duran scored again

3.) 22 Sep 2024 09:47:15
Moyes was completely stale towards the end and so were the players. I'm sure the ones supporting him never went to a game . I suspect lopetegui isn't suited to the premier League just like juande Ramos and Phil scolari. but hankering over a busted flush isn't helping. As usual Sullivan went for the cheapest option. That's were the issue lies .

4.) 22 Sep 2024 17:41:25
How well organised we were under Moyes are you having a laugh! lost 4-1 to Villa, 5-0 to Fulham, 5-1 to Liverpool, 6-0 to Arsenal, 4-3 t0 Newcastle after being 3-0 up, 5-2 to Palace, 5-0 to Chelsea, lost to Everton at home, got knocked out of the cup by Bristol City. Conceded 74 goals with only the relegated teams conceding more. There were games were it was like shooting practice for the opposition but somehow our goal was charmed. Fortunate, lucky, blessed, jammy but one thing we certainly weren't is organised. I am a season ticket holder so saw the performances where we fluked results and watched the most turgid football I have ever watched in my 66 years. Well organised my arse!

5.) 22 Sep 2024 23:11:54
You have encapsulated everything that needs to be said about Moyes, wether or not we get successful under Loppy , is nothing to do with the abject failure of Moyes

6.) 23 Sep 2024 11:00:00
Good post Gerry. As there is shade of anonymity to some of our names for these sites. I can only think Brooking is a certain David Moyes!
I was not a Moyes hater but it did go that way for all of the reasons Gerry states. Whilst this guy doesn’t look great and may end up being a complete disaster, hopefully not. He does get us playing further up the field and the intention is to go on the front foot, rather than drilling into the players your aim is to NOT LOSE.
Even in the dire straights Everton are in the vast majority of their fans don’t want the Moyes-ier back.

7.) 25 Sep 2024 22:51:07
After tonight’s showing we may need Moyes. This manager is useless.

AND that's the difference Liverpool have 6 strikers, we have NONE, as I've said many times, yes improvement, but can't put the ball away, Alvarez totally unessessary red card silly.

If we had just Gapko or Nunez maybe whole games different, Loppy end of October good bye, if it stays like this, on freeze frame, first Liverpool goal offside, and on freeze frame Gomez handball definite penalty.

Joyful

1.) 25 Sep 2024 22:27:56
I agree Joyful, if it’s a league game then their first goal is ruled offside and the Gomez penalty possibly given although it did appear to hit his chest first. If those decisions go in our favour it’s a different game. We looked ok and competitive for 70 mins until that idiot got his red card. He is turning into a liability too many yellow cards and fouls in daft areas. Todibo looked ok until their last 2 goals, both his fault . It just looks and feels like an unhappy ship.

2.) 25 Sep 2024 23:14:21
3rd goal came after we should have just had a corner, we were looking like scoring as well. Shame because never a 5 -1 game. Get the frustrations from Alvarez but that was idiotic.

Brentford and Ipswich are must win games.

3.) 26 Sep 2024 16:57:35
As an away team at Anfield you get FA from the Refs, unless it is a stone bonker, they appear to be scared of the scouse fans to give a 50/50 decision to the away team imo!
I predicted a 4-0 loss before the game, but Loppy along with the board are only taking themselves to the land of Money££!
We performed better than I thought we would, Alvarez another liability, OUT! Thought Ant looked lively when he came on, think Brentford will beat us but we should beat Ipswich, if not destined to bottom 3 quickly. ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

What a goal from Duran what' a mistake, not signing him!

Joyful

1.) 15 Sep 2024 05:13:25
Never a truer word.

2.) 15 Sep 2024 11:36:07
Let’s face it - Villa were right and we were wrong. Duran is worth every penny of £40 million, and more. We’ll never get him now. What an opportunity missed. He’s clearly a top class striker, and if he doesn't stay at Villa, he’ll go to a top European club like Real Madrid or PSG. Still, never mind, we’ve got Antonio and Ings.

3.) 15 Sep 2024 22:04:50
Spot on

4.) 17 Sep 2024 13:35:49
Yep, he’s definitely the one that got away, only a dip in form from the player will ever see him sign for us now ……oh well onwards and upwards ??‍♂️

5.) 18 Sep 2024 20:01:10
Be a million or 2 added for every goal he scores from now up until January. Ship might have sailed on this one. Would love us to show ambition and go all out for him though.

14 Sep 2024 21:07:31
Antonio just shocking, no point in playing him, we lack cohesion, can't work out what style we are playing, surely Todibo must be ready to play by now? No power up front, going to cost us, , Loppy got to get to grips, start 2 nd half team! Against Chelsea, plus Todibo in for Mavrapanos

Joyful

14 Sep 2024 21:02:40
Well my favourite player Ings saves the day! We were poor make no mistake, we have good players, but there's a disconnect., somewhere, we are not playing , in any style, that makes sense, and we are a long long way off, top part of table, no threat up front at all, and honestly, didn't deserve the point, but we will take it, I don't see us shipping loads of goals, and we don't look like scoring many either, lack of quality up front going to cost us

Not just getting beat, So poor, don’t count on Brentford and Ipswich games I’m not, , transition season of course, but we can’t carry on like this no intensity, not enough effort, short on concentration, for me there’s nothing to say anything good happened, defending is appalling. And I have said before don't see where the goals are coming from, sorry Billy

Whilst discussing Solet, some interesting info has come to light re Kevin Danso currently at Lens, it was definitely correct that WH were after the CB following his good performances at the recent Euros whilst playing for Austria, they made offer to Lens, on verge of being accepted, when WH found out he had issues that would prevent him passing a medical, and after consideration, dropped out … Roma stepped in immediately, offer was accepted, BUT Danso failed medical there! WH were correct there, however he’s still playing very well at Lens, make of it what you will, WH ( Moyes ) . Ignored the medical and pushed to sign Zouma, you know the rest of the story,

Several different medical problems , apparently, wether it would prevent an exam pass not known, elbow and one knee are amongst them, don’t know about anything else, this may be why no clubs as yet have jumped on him? We shall see, certainly looks decent player

Let me say this , not only can I not follow his tactics, I can’t understand what he’s talking about either, apparently, he breaks into Basque, which is totally different to Spanish, during training sessions, especially when he’s hot under the collar, we have to be very careful this month, this man has the potential to drag us down, if things don’t go our way, and so far they havnt I’m hoping for a turn around, the next 4 games going to tell the story, if it doesn’t turn just can’t see him still there after October

After looking at your posts, I made a call, It seems it’s not only Kudus, ( who is very irritated) Apparently Emerson has had a poor conversation with Loppy and Is far more annoyed than Kudus for different reasons, Bowen has acted well speaking to both of them today.

Loppy looks to be unsettled, by both the lack of results, and by his tactics clearly not working, (Not that anyone knows what they are, and I must. Confess neither do I) and this is unquestionably rubbing off on the team, This will not continue indefinitely, that’s for sure, this is what none of us want to hear.

word is board looking for 6 points next 4 games, maybe I hope so? Loppy has had the dreaded we are behind you message from the board! End of this month, looks to be end of his tenure if we don’t improve, 10 games in.

board have to change course, none of us can argue about that, I seriously can’t follow or understand what Loppy is trying to do, we have serious supporters on this site, do any of you, understand him, please point them out to me if you do?

We were ok, but said so many times, recurring theme, no strikers, has and will continue to cost us, it was so obvious before season started, , many opportunities to score, cannot rely on Bowen, Kudus, and Soucek, that’s ludicrous, these players will score some goals but they are not strikers by trade full stop, this will have to be solved in January, in my view had we two decent strikers in our squad, we would. Be on 9/10 points at this time, even taking into account our defensive frailties
