People moaning about Lopetegui should go read the write up about him on Sky Sports, may lift your spirits and expectations. I think it's a good appointment.

What would peoples starting 11 be should the linked end up signing so El Nesyri, Kudus and Lingard. Midfield is so strong.

Areola, Emerson, Aguerd, Mavropanos, Kehrer, Alvarez, JWP, Paqueta, Lingard (if he can perform like before) or Benny, Bowen, Kudus. Yes I know there is no striker but Bowen and Kudus can interchange during the game and both have played up top.

Admittedly, we have only sign Alvarez in time to play, but you’d leave him out when he has said himself he is fit and ready to go?
Areola has to start or we might as well sell him. He won’t accept being a cup keeper this season as well.
Soucek is not a defensive midfielder, that was proven last season and Ings cannot play as a lone striker, again proven last season.
For me it has to be (assuming all fit) …

Soucek - Fornals
Bowen - Cornet - Benrahma
With Cornet filling in up top, a role he played in a few times for Burnley before we signed him!

I think INGS is not of premiership quality anymore but it's no secret that he's better in a 2 or 3 up front just like HALLER and SCAMACCA, but MOYES if somebody asked me for white and green tiles for their kitchen as it matched their decor and I tiled white and blue tiles they wouldn't be best pleased and I wouldn't get away with it so why does SERGEANT MOYES have licence to do the exact opposite of what he's paid top money for and that's to MANAGE his players and fit them into the best tactics and formation plus their main attributes, sorry for the comparison but I had to think of something work related.

When are we going to realise that Moyes and his decisions are no longer good for the club and its the club that MUST come first, not what WE or DAVID MOYES wants. If players don;t want to play for him, any players brought in will feel EXACTLY the same, so what's the point? Manager has to be changed before we go any further or players will just keep underperforming and leaving

Is it possible that we are waiting to get Zouma off the books so that we can improve AWB wage offer for him to write off what he wants out of United? I for one think he is that important that I’d pay it. No point in all these attackers if our defence is going to have more holes in it that a sieve

i think strengthening the right back position would be our most important bit of business, Coufal has been great but his form nose dived and he was terrible in the euros solidifying our need to replace him. If we got AWB it would be our best bit of business IMO.

Antonio is a good impact sub with his strength and running in the last 10/15 mins of games against tired defenders i think will be useful

You can’t take pre season too seriously. Only 3 of the starting 11 will probably be regulars. Kudus, Kilman and Emerson. It’s all minutes, was it the season before last we got beat 5-0 by rangers that season turned out ok. Once we get AWB and another CB plus alphonse back it’s a different defence completely and I think we are stronger.
