Ballot for Europa cup final tickets is open. Closes 28th April with draw 6 May so we’ll know whether to accept tickets if you are lucky enough to get some

1.) 23 Apr 2022 18:18:34
The way rashford is going he will end up like DELE ALI fading into a bit part player what a shame and waste of talent he HAS to move from UTD this seasons next window I can't stop dreaming of a 3 man midfield RICE,SOUCEK,BELLINGHAM now before people slaughter me I know he's more than we could dream of I rate him very very highly him and FODEN must start more games for ENGLAND at the world cup.

2.) 24 Apr 2022 11:50:28
Bellingham is top quality already and has plenty of development ahead of him.

Take him in a heartbeat.

3.) 24 Apr 2022 21:35:19
Sure we don't really know all Ten Haag's plans yet. And whom is still featured in them. He needs some rabbits in his hat to reveal in the summer.

4.) 29 Apr 2022 11:52:17
I do not actually care about Man Utd other than to finish higher than them; which is of course then a Hammers' issue

5.) 30 Apr 2022 19:50:57
Hehehe I found link to hammers in that am sure Boleyn' s named ultimately from a region of France hence can mention their elections i'm Passim then.

6.) 03 May 2022 10:21:25
Rubberton, yes and we should pick up Juan Mata on a free IMHO.

7.) 03 May 2022 10:32:06
Huguenot? I think Hainault near West Ham is similar

14 Apr 2022 10:55:32
So we phaff around with Dawson Nunez in January and fail (again) to complete deal at last minute and now Liverpool ManUtd et al are interested at twice the price…
I know I don’t see the deals / terms / everything that goes on in a transfer but didn’t we just run out of time with the Nunez one with Benfica?

1.) 14 Apr 2022 11:13:56
Nunez never waned to join us so irrelevant really.

2.) 14 Apr 2022 12:18:45
Oh I thought it was an almost deal we screwed up.

3.) 15 Apr 2022 00:01:46
All different stories going around about Benfica knocking back the bid, agents not agreeing terms etc. if he wanted to come he would have made it clear to his club and agent. I see he has sacked his agent so wants out of Benfica but would be shocked if he came to us. Shocked but happy as he does look good.

4.) 15 Apr 2022 09:54:40
Haha! Dawson Nunez scored for us from a corner last night.

5.) 15 Apr 2022 12:35:31

6.) 16 Apr 2022 12:26:27
hehehe - Craig!

7.) 16 Apr 2022 12:59:02
BTW apropos of very little - my nickname for him Dogsears' Dawson comes form a 1970s cult tv show about some mad UK scientists. "Bright's Boffins". Hilarious.

8.) 21 Apr 2022 08:33:55
So, it seems we have a bit of a CB crisis with DAWSON the only fit CB that we have and probably the next 4 games being the most crucial of the season. What about bringing young BAPTISTE through? Can we get a defender on loan if he is free agent?
Play Rice at CB or rush OGBONNA back. THoughts anybody?

9.) 21 Apr 2022 12:57:56
Ogbonna will not be fit - otherwise your other suggestions may well be viable runners in the circumstances ; Chelski up in 3 days now.

10.) 26 Apr 2022 15:47:50
P.S. Our central defenders are apparently mending much quicker than supposed; at least with regard to Zouma and Diop. (the latter may be targeted by Ten Haag, but not until summer when hopefully we can do some business for replacements this time). Not much being touted - Phillips of Leeds is at least defensive minded.

11.) 06 May 2022 15:57:21
Cressy's brain still taking a raincheck though. He sorta plays CB sometimes so sorta relevant. I guess.

01 Feb 2022 08:12:29
Diego Costa on a free?

1.) 01 Feb 2022 10:23:16
Yes, I read that suggestion elsewhere. He’s 33 now, but I don’t know if he’s anywhere near match fit.

He was an absolute bull when he was with Chelsea, a thug in fact.

For a smallish weekly wage and appearance bonuses, some might think it worth considering, but I’d rather see Oko-Flex, or Perkins in the mix.

2.) 01 Feb 2022 13:04:32
Beggars cannot be choosers post transfer-window. Let's get the lad (well he is still much younger than many of us on here haha, i'd guess). We need at the very least some cover for Antonio.

3.) 01 Feb 2022 16:32:03
A part of me agrees re beggars, but also I look at what has gone right and a lot appears to be a team spirit and all the players working together. Costa comes with issues, I’m not sure he would be great to bring in.

4.) 02 Feb 2022 13:04:31
Sdl point taken but he could be used only sparingly when Antonio cannot play for one reason or another. although we play attractive soccer Moyes clearly believes in having at least one target man when available to play.

5.) 02 Feb 2022 20:16:20
Yes he could but if he upsets the dressing room, training field etc it doesn’t matter how often he is used. If he fractures the camp we will be in a real mess.

6.) 02 Feb 2022 23:26:57
Can see both sides.Libra influence in my horoscope lol. İ am really revealing i feel as vulnerable and desperate as many others in our curremt thin squad scenario

7.) 31 Mar 2022 13:39:47
AKA "cuanto" Costa, apropos of nothing in particular

07 Sep 2021 21:36:28
BBC reporting Lingard rejects new contract. Sell Yarmo in January and divert wages?

1.) 08 Sep 2021 08:22:16
Lingard s contract ends in Summer 2022, so his financial worth to them is decreasing rapidly monthly? Unless he is playing hardball with ManU, Yarmo is an absolute drain on resources as you say, so. not to many would be unhappy to see him go even though financially we will take a massive loss, but less than on Anderson?
So surely a move to us would be upmost in his mind, even though he will have lots of offers? He was an instant hero with us, he knows he will be a guaranteed starter in the first team and his relationship with DM and staff would clinch a move to us imo?
If that was the case, the player to move over for him would be Benrahma I think, although he is now coming good, but DM is still not his biggest fan imo, Fornals and Bowen are much more DM type of players, so interesting to see if Lingard really intends to leave ManU? âš’âš’âš’âš’âš’.

2.) 08 Sep 2021 09:18:22
Lingard was great for us but trailed off towards the end off the last 5 games. We all agree Lingard is a great player and had a wonderful spell at WH
Now ill ask the question do we really need him? now that Benrahma starting to shine who would u drop to include Lingard. I say its a great time for Moyes he has 3 months to asses how Vlasic and Kral work out, it looks like Moyes and co. are starting to build a team we have waited so long for, yes we have had some great players in the last 20 years but never a team with so much potential as the players we have now.
Another centre forward would be nice and get rid of the remaining dross. perfect.

3.) 08 Sep 2021 10:11:30
Yes, even if Lingard makes contact with a view to coming back, Moyse has plenty of time to look at Vlasic before January.

I think the tide is turning re Lingard and the ball is more in our court than his.

Isn’t it good that the interesting times we are living in are positive ones?

4.) 08 Sep 2021 10:14:24
As a very expensive drain on resources, who rarely plays, we should move Yarmolenko on. Especially with the arrival of Vlasic.

5.) 09 Sep 2021 12:59:00
I think Jesse is doing the right thing. I think UTD were asking too much for him considering his age, we got Vlasic for the same price and he has 5 years more in him so a chance we could profit or break even, with Jesse it was not the case.
Jesse may not play as much as he wants at UTD this term, but he WILL have offers either in Jan or at end of contract. Whereas if he signs for UTD he is basicaly accepting backup/ rotation player status as they will only spend big on new arrivals over time that will get ahead of him.
We get time to assess others, and maybe Yarmo/ Lanzini go next summer and Jesse is the man. or maybe he has beter option elsewhere. I know he tailed off slightly last season, but he was still brilliant!

6.) 12 Sep 2021 22:03:58
I get it LINGARD wanted to stay and fight for his place at UTD but i ain't buying a bar of it this is what i think he did after being successful at ours he then said he would stay and fight for his place knowing that UTD would more than likely sign a player or 2 so he thought a bigger club than west ham would come in for him and that didn't happen now i don't think he set out to do it but he used us to help out a bigger move and i'm not saying that's wrong but basically what i'm saying is he has no interest in WEST HAM so why should we take him back because he has no other option call me oldschool but i wouldn't be unhappy not to see him in a west ham shirt again.

7.) 14 Sep 2021 04:58:23
Definitely Lingard tried to use the loan and our interest to get some better deal but why shouldn't he? If he comes back in January great, if not so be it too. I think Vlasic could be a good pickup, jury still out on Benhrama, his performance against the Saints was absolutely woeful and surprised it took DM so long to hook him.

8.) 15 Sep 2021 21:31:55
I said I'm not saying he was wrong doing what he did but I only want players in a west ham shirt who want to play for west ham and not their bank accounts which is what most players want all of the time let's get players in claret and blue who want to play for west ham you never hear soucek Or coufal mentioning money they are my kind of player.

9.) 15 Sep 2021 21:33:29
And in pre season everybody was lauding benrhama as the second coming he has one bad game and yes 2 bob how fical some fans are.

10.) 16 Sep 2021 04:18:39
I don't know too many who thought pre-season anything different about Benhrama. I think the jury is still out. He has some ability and flashes, he can play some good passes, but overall he doesn't appear to work hard enough for the team and tends to fade out of the game if things aren't going his way. Let's see how he goes but he needs to be more consistent and work hard, anyone I know says exactly that.

11.) 16 Sep 2021 08:19:54
I have never rated Benrahma to highly, best I can say about him is, he has contributed more at least than Haller/ Anderson/ Wilshere put together, so that’s not saying much. Yes he has some decent touches, but shouldn’t every player at least do something in a PL club shirt that contributes to a team.
He is definitely not a DM type of player, he needs to work harder and release the ball sooner instead of trying to impress, keep it simple in tight situations, but any player should do that automatically unless they have exceptional ability!
Looking forward as all of us for tonight’s first Euro game.

12.) 20 Sep 2021 02:29:46
In pre-season the world and his wife were saying what a player benrahma is now he's no good and if he ain't DM type of player why did we buy him and why don't he play KRAL if DM likes hard workers the games changed chelms its more the flair type of players that's why the big strapping No9 who puts himself about ain't about the best striker in the world LEWANDOSKI is a flair player who scores great goals look at UTD fernandes pogba ronaldo sancho people have to realise the game has changed so i think DM has done a decent job i just don't like his approach and tactics against bigger teams.

13.) 20 Sep 2021 23:58:08
Again Harrison, I don't think everyone was saying what a player Benrahma is, most people said he has ability but doesn't work back and can lose the ball a lot. Sometimes I think people have a view and then look for things that support that view, as the jury has always been out on him for the main.

14.) 24 Sep 2021 11:21:07
As regards attacking MF - Yarmo seems to have been signed as a kind of winger but in his early tenure; also seemed to play deep lying forward. If he is a striker he needs to start scoring goals otherwise we have enough AM players and should move him on ASAP.

15.) 04 Oct 2021 23:39:49
I read the reports after one pre season game with rave reviews SDL its going to be another HALLER for me a player not playing in his favourite position BENRAHMA is a no10 playinfg behind a frontman for me DM is getting away with it with FORNALS who imo is a no10 i see him play there for villareal you can't expect them to play on the wing as neither player has pace and for me SDL a winger needs to have pace just look at yarmolenko blistering pace? but i hate managers playing people out of position ok if needed to play as cover for a game or two but not reguarly and imo you won't get the best out of players doing this.

08 Jun 2021 11:58:22
Caleta-Car for Lanzini for be reasonable trade. Move the salary and get a younger CB for balbyena replacement.

1.) 08 Jun 2021 12:45:39
Marseille wouldn't accept that unless money was involved.

It is also being suggested that Lanzini wants to move back to Argentina and Boca Juniors.

2.) 08 Jun 2021 15:04:09
River Plate note Boca Juniors. Apologies.

3.) 09 Jun 2021 07:00:49
i think its time for Lanzini to leave other than the goal at Spurs he is not the player he once was.
Sorry to say its time to go.

4.) 09 Jun 2021 07:43:54
Got to be honest Bideford, I agree.

He is very good tactically and I enjoy watching him play when he is on form, but I don't think he fits in as a player alongside Antonio up top, nor do I think he is all that effective out on the wings and I don't think he has the strength or defensive abilities to cover for Soucek or Rice.

If we can make some money back on him now. then we should. Send him on his way with a thank you though. He has been a good servant to the club and given his best.

What I’m interested in is the last minute failure to secure Nunez in January for 50M was it and now he’s to Liverpool for 80-100M. Does show we were looking in the right direction though

1.) 11 Jun 2022 12:52:01
Was there any chance of him actually coming that's the question? If he would have came then we should have got it done could have fired us into champions league via top 4 and/or europa.

I'm sure we are going to look even more stupid when hlozek is sold for 80m in a few years.

{Ed002's Note - Not a chance.}

2.) 11 Jun 2022 14:42:51
Exactly wonder how much time we wasted on that or was it just one of those to show we tried. Maybe if we didn't waste time we might have had time to get zapata in or we could have moved on Bayo.

3.) 11 Jun 2022 17:49:46
We always waste time and the entire window was all about lingard

4.) 14 Jun 2022 08:56:02
I'm with you oshee it's either the C/B from fiorentina or lingard I can't be bothered to look up his name but we will be told with the new C/B target we tried everything bit after weeks and weeks couldn't get the deal done then please sack the people who try and get these deals over the line and go and get Aston villas who are very successful in this area we all know why it's penny pinching D'S.

5.) 15 Jun 2022 07:10:48
WHats the betting we are STILL Chasing Lingard despite what reports suggest?

23 May 2022 22:30:27
So in review who thinks Rice and Soucek were played the wrong way round all season?

1.) 24 May 2022 03:59:25
No I don’t think they were the wrong way around I just think that Soucek was run into the ground and never really recovered.

2.) 24 May 2022 11:49:52
We cannot complain that Soucek scored fewer goals this season. Moyse has clearly asked Rice to push further forward. Soucek has had to cover.

On balance Soucek is a better goal scorer and Rice is a better reader of the game and breaker up of opposition play.

I am inclined to agree that pushing Rice further forward has made us less effective.

14 May 2022 15:42:15
Rehearsals going on inside the LS, perimeter adorned with Mark Noble imagery

10 May 2022 22:10:26
So right now Lingard’s goal against us is the difference between reaching the EL with a win at Brighton and not having to worry about ManUtds last game….
That said if we turn over City after they play tomorrow and with their decimated back line resembling ours,

1.) 11 May 2022 00:25:07
Last minute goal at OT where Bowen lost the ball and Fredericks was all over the place, missed penalty at home in the last minute. Sometimes these little things come back to haunt you, but reality is that there are lots of them over a season and the table doesn't lie. We dropped points to last minute goals a few times, missed some chances in games, it really only stands out when you try to look back at specific moments because they were against specific teams. We should have beaten Burnley away, we should have beaten Palace at home, shouldn't have lost to Brentford at home, shouldn't have drawn with Brighton at home, lot's of opportunities to have 3 more points at least. But hey two games to go and everything to play for. Man City aren't unbeatable, let's hope for the best.

2.) 11 May 2022 22:09:40
We have to beat Brighton and hope Palace win

3.) 13 May 2022 20:44:10
At the end of the day, we should of beat a few teams but we probably also should of drawn games that we won so it evens itself out at the end of the day! The league positions are what they are and teams are in the correct spot.

27 Apr 2022 17:35:06
Will shift the Man City game to Saturday?

1.) 28 Apr 2022 00:56:07
No they play wolves on the 12th so they won’t want to move it - remember only fixtures are moved to help the “big six” not us.

2.) 29 Apr 2022 12:23:43
When's that Arsenal game? I will go Google obviously. Rhetorical question less you want to answer it .lol

We spent £9M on loaning him last year, and they reportedly want £10M to buy this year. While expensive for 29yo with 6mths left, that buy price is value compared to the investment last year. If we’d bought him for £19M last year we’d be saying what a great deal. We’re not a competitor now after losing the last two. We needed one win to stay in the hunt. Too much dependence on other results already. Europa League realistic

Areola has to be sorted by end of month before our option runs out. Hearing Richardson to Chelsea so with sterling I’d reckon they’d sell broja to us then.

Have we actually released Kral yet? Reckon the order is GK, ST, LWB. Central midfield can wait until January

johnston Dawson Alese
Coufal soucek lanzini rice cresswell
Bowen antonio

Johnston Dawson Alese cresswell
Fornals rice soucek benrahma/lanzini
Bowen antonio

Prefer the 442 for back line height.

Bottom line either phaff with kral in backline or play a LCB in a LCB role.

With lukaku a bit off, Alese could do well enough
