So its looking like Yilmaz or Negrdo? I'm sure either one would do a decent job for us! Vargas or Moses attacking from the flanks, Song to sign any day, Lindergaard or Green to sort out gk problem and a right back to challenge Jenkinson. I think we should be set for another 12 spot finish and then more quality additions next summer into the stadium and challenge for top 8 COYI

Great Piece and I got to agree if we could get Yilmaz or Negredo and Vargas or Moses with Lindegaard I'd be a very happy man. We can then in January or next summer get rid of our rubbish and onwards and upwards. let's start by making a positive move and getting Yilmaz or Negredo

Totally agree. Fed up with the pessimists. Just support the team and the owners, they're doing the best for the club. You don't always get everyone you want. Fact. Austin is overpriced for a potential one season wonder and crock. Totally agree with sullivans comments

Apparently we're looking at Balic. The 17 year old Croatian. Granted I've only seen footage of him from you tube which as we all know can make average players look like world beaters but there is definitely something special about this kid! All the big clubs in Europe have been keeping an eye on him and he looks like he's got all the tools to go on and be world class! Fantastic technical ability, passer, awareness, got an eye for goal but most impressively has got that bit of grit about him, loves the ball at his feet and like all the Barcelona players does not give it up cheaply! He's being tagged as being the 'new Modric' what with him being from Croatia and having similar playing characteristics but depending on his mentality the boy looks like he has the potential to be better! Let's hope this rumour had some legs and with Bilic being the gaffer, the bright lights of London and a new amazing project about to get underway we can get this gem over the line! COYI

Just checked out some footage of this Pione Sisto kid he looks absolutely mustard! Hope he decides to join! Him and Moses on the wings would make me a very happy boy! Song and a decent striker and we would have turned this transfer window around at the final hour. Let's wait and see hopefully a busy 48 hours.

Same old West Ham at the start of the summer filled with optimism about the new manager shiny new stadium and new exciting players. Now at the end of the summer with 5 days to go before the transfer window closes I'm having second thoughts about the manager hopefully I'm wrong early doors yet. At the moment there seems to be no discipline at the club the defence and organisation is all over the place and red cards are a regular thing. Ironically were going after BARTON so being a man down should be a common theme this season. Hot heads all round. The latest pictures of the new stadium have proved my doubts to be true. The seating is allful its nothing but an after thought a botched up stadium which is not fit for football but I'm sure there try and put pretty bells and whistles on with claret and blue lights to try and please all our fans. Pitiful. Randolph was a mistake so was Ogbonna should of paid an extra couple of mil and pushed for someone like Van dijk to partner Reid. Still no back up right back to challenge Jenkinson, Song who was our best player for the first half of last season looking more and more not to be obtained instead BARTON on a free. Wow inspiring. No wingers at the club apart from Jarvis the magnificent not to mention two unfit strikers and the third on Bail. The owners desperately trying to get in recruits at the last minute by offering sub standard offers which are all rejected. Loans and frees are want were end up with probably BARTON some mickey mouse winger and no doubt Adebeyor to save the day. I can hardly contain myself with excitement. I feel sorry for Payet who is probably thinking, 'what have I done?. ' And of course there are our loyal fans there through thick and thin having to stand by and witness this fiasco. If your listening Gold and Sullivan its time to wake up and smell the coffee at the moment the clubs becoming a rudderless ship with no forward thinking no professionalism dare I say it 'tin pot' club which other fans have been calling us its embarrassing we becoming a laughing stock. Get your house in order tydy up this mess fast otherwise this rudderless ship might soon become a sinking ship come May and we don't want that now do we! 5 days to sort this out!

COuldn;t agree with you more. Great article, just a shame its only us fans that are listening. On the back of what you have said I have to ask all of us fans out there "why is it that we fans can see where we need to strengthen and have been able to see for 2 years but our owners can't"?
Its a joke and a poor way to run a club. Too much focus this summer went onto SONG (another midfielder may I add) and not enough on forwards which are appalling. If your conceding more than your scoring your in trouble. SB will be gone at christmas unless there are dramatic changes and the curse of Sam will strike again

Great post Woz, just a shame that Gold & Sullivan don't read our posts.
I am the same as you, looked forward optimistically to a good season, new manager, some good looking early signings and then nothing but joke offers for players who probably wouldn't come anyway.
Why didn't we try in Europe as I am sure it would have been an attractant to some players, but oh no, let's just bail out of it as we might have to spend money on the squad.
People keep saying that the new stadium will be half empty if we go down, I doubt there will be 20,000 there as most of us have had enough and relegation would be the final nail in the coffin!

Totally agree with you Mike! I'm a big fan of Bentley. The kids clearly got Talent local boy West Ham fan in fact reminds me of Hart a few years back a rough diamond at around surely that was a no brainer? Instead we get Randolph? No doubt the people in charge have made a few good signings over the last year or so but also some strange ones and some missed opportunities. Andy (sicknote pisshead) Carroll instead of Bony? And ofcourse Montero for a couple of Mill who's now ripping up premier league defences for fun? What makes it even more frustrating is that were in badly need of a winger at the moment. Still lacking quality and strength in depth. STILL having to play Nolan in the centre of the park no legs lacking creativity lack of width no wingers too narrow too predictable and obviously lack of fire power up front. Obviously haven't got the funds and its going to take another couple of seasons to tweak this squad in order to be battling in the higher regions of the league. As it stands at the moment with all the teams around us having improved. Swansea, Everton, palace, Stoke, Newcastle etc. I would place us at around a 13/14th place finish. Still I suppose survival is the most important thing this season! Without half a dozen additions I would imagine that would be it. Need Bentley, a right back, a player LIKE Halilovic, Song, Moses and a 15-20 goal a season striker to push on.

OMG! JOEY BARTON?. How to come crashing back down to earth after the high of yesterday. There's me dreaming about Bentley, D'Ambrosio, Song, Halilovic and Hernandez and apparently we're instead after Joey BARTON?? What an absolute waste!! If that goes through! Trying to get people like O'Brien, Nolan, Jarvis and Maiga off the books and push on to the next level. Big backward step! Pointless transfer! Bad egg! Ridiculous! The highs and lows of being a west ham fan.
