Arnie has not asked to leave. But I understand it could happen, either way it's unlikely WH will let him go in January He will be persuaded to stay until seasons end, LOOK for him it's a last hurrah, his brother spends most of his time digging around looking for avenues to get more income it's football, WH should throw the fee coming in for Maxi Gomez at Celta, many years younger, and will be a lot better, , after Arnautovic leaves which in my view is inevitable, I will print a sentence which was heard From his brother, MOVING ON Ogbonna is pushing to leave there's Italian interest, his wish will be granted, Zabletta is being persuaded to stay until seasons end he won't renew anyway He wants to call it a day after xmas. IRONMIKE.

Although it's old news re Maxi Gomez WH May catch a cold on this one NOT from Spurs. BUT from Barcelona who are asking for first dibs on the striker should Celta Vigo decide to let their man go IRONMIKE.

Could the Nasri deal be off after fitness concerns?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Nov 2018 17:09:17
So according to the Evening Standard Nasri on a 6 month contract from Jan 2019 at £80K a week and Rice is still on £2.5K the phrase the lunatics are running the asylum comes to mind.

12 Nov 2018 22:05:48
The Sun now suggesting it’s on the verge of collapsing as the medical suggests he is too unfit. I would prefer too they sort out Rice and bring in players who aren’t only for six months like Nasri as we need to build a stronger squad for next year and the year after.

Hope they snatch their hands off Mike, injuries are unfortunately all part of the game unless being milked, but his non contribution and lack effort is unacceptable for a professional being paid in my view an immoral amount of money, he should be embarrassed, but i’m sure he thinks he’s worth it👎👎.

12 Nov 2018 12:18:30
Apparently he still thinks he’s as good as he was! Now Chicharito Looks likely to be replaced with another old banger Nasri on a six month only deal , WH refuge home for old has beens IRONMIKE.

I've read Nasri is undergoing a medical?

Do we honestly need him. no. Do we want him at our club? . no.

Short term, Frankly I do not see the point in this, We need to have another clearout in the summer when all of our current players out on loan return to the fold we already have far too many second raters and never wastes. Don’t need another one IRONMIKE.

Board indicated they had matured from scattergun.

The reality indicates rather the reverse.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Nov 2018 16:24:46
They are holding the cash for the summer, after the start we had, a recovery to finish halfway would be acceptable to all parties now IRONMIKE.

12 Nov 2018 17:06:25
Hi Mike, come summer we would be able to walk away immediately if Nasri is on a 6 month deal. Whereas if we still had Antonio we would have to wait for offers etc and teams would no doubt hold out for a bargain knowing we want rid dragging it on and delaying our plans. Getting rid in Jan and getting a temporary upgrade (IMO) until summer leaves us in a better position don't you think?
This is NOT the board and their previous scatter-gun technique. This would be a Husillos and MP move so we should not criticise the board.

Nasri wants £96k a week, what will Rice think if this goes through, I mean, Rice along with Arnie are the first names on the team sheet every week, they've got to get their priorities right and sort the kids contract out.

Stevie, I agree entirely, I hope we learned our lesson when we bought a burnt out Hernandez at 29 years old, who was past his sell buy date and a payday of £140k weekly, who got a brown envelope for that deal? To get involved with such a player with clear problems as Nasti asking for £96k a week would be madness and smack of desperation for me, what message would that send to other players on less money such as Rice as you say? We are great at providing pensions for a number players who either through age are past their sell by date or are not wanted wanted by other Premiership clubs! I don’t think age should be a barrier in certain cases, but they should certainly not exceed other club players that play in the first team, that is offensive imo!
Whorya, yes along the same lines as you with non playing players👎COYI today, keep up last weeks performance and hopefully a big 3 points in the bag, hopefully Our 3 Muskerteers, Arnie, Diangana and Anderson, can play another big part today, loving Diangana, what a budding star👍⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒.

Anything in the Nasri link?

I really hope not - why would we want a washed up 31 year old who’s well past his best, and has just come back from an 18 month drug ban.

We get enough bad press at it is. this would be so toxic to the dressing room and club as a whole, sending out the wrong message.

Unfortunately that's what we do give £70,000 a week to somebody that either never plays or occasionally plays i. e EVRA ARBELOA we are WHUFC . COYI.

Seen an article quoting redknapp saying man city should sign Rice. Why are we taking so long to get his contract sorted. Imagine if we lost him for a pittance or nothing at all.

He's the future of the club get it done this has to be our priority, it would be a huge blunder if we lost him.

This is getting ridiculous now, all the fans were against the board, so they wised up, brought in a good manager and spent a bit a money to get us on side, we have all sat and watched rice develop, watched him shine, and now we are sitting watching the vultures circle because our board have gone back over again because they have paid stupid wages to others, so we will all sit here now powerless to what is happening, wishing that they would just give the kid a good deal and tie him down. I for one will so peeeeed off if we lose him and I think that will be me done, it will be heartbreaking to see the be taken away from us to rot in a so called bigger clubs reserves or bench, because that is what will happen, even though he is far to good for that. Please WH board do the right thing, these kids are the future, u wanted another MR WESTHAM well their he is bold as brass, make this happen for him and for us.

Whitby, yes we would all agree with that regarding Rice, also the same applies to our other young rising star Diangana, what another wonderful talent⚒ If you are good enough, you are young or old enough, regardless of age you should be paid your value regardless, Premiership standard players are valuable commodities, we all know they are vastly overpaid, but that is how it is! We all know setting precedence can be dangerous regarding wage structure, but also seeing great talent being washed away by a club can also influence other young rising up and coming talent! We have been prepared to pay stupid, stupid money to JW and JH, AC and several others who I foresee doing nothing for our club and are living off long faded talent, so let’s tie them down before as Whitby says before the usual money “ Vultures” start to circle and we lose them!

Iron. AI, Harry Redknapp wants to cause trouble with WH making comments like that imo! He was touting for the WH job when Moyes wasn’t given a new contract by saying “he thinks he can still do a good job” or words of that sort, so he’s now making snide comments for being scorned, when you are past your sell by date with Harry, that’s it!

06 Nov 2018 14:37:12
It was Jamie, Chelmsford. Sorry should have specified.

We shouldn't deal with spurs at all that's simple, and offering wanyama as a swap that's a blatant kick in the teeth, however I think that's the papers putting 2+2 together and getting 5 just for a story.

Rice isn't going no where, it's just contract negotiations, we wouldn't let this get to the point where he can leave, it will all sort it self out in the end and he will sign a new deal, he is west ham through and through that's the reason the board have offered so little. If it was bothering him that much he's performance would drop and it hasn't. Theirs no rush atm just be patient people.

Danny, that’s a very reassuring post, but as we know in life, people fall in and out of love with different things for differing reasons, I don’t think they should assume he so loves the club he would never leave, how many couples in life do we all know that have split up, that’s the best example I can use, get the job done, in life never assume!,
But I hope you are right, good reas#uring positive comment👍👍⚒⚒⚒⚒.

Bkk, exactly, you can never say, never, about most things that can’t be changed, but minds and attitudes can change like traffic lights if you are influenced! You can never discount injuries either, serious or otherwise, so I would advise him if he were my grandson, that life doesn’t always run smoothly, but being happy at a club is major, but we should still push the boat out for him! If Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, came sniffing, he wouldn’t even need to uproot and move!

I have read that it might be a FFP issue and that we will sort out a mutually agreeable contract for Rice once we’ve shipped one or two (or three or four) out in the Jan window.
