Just read that Smolov wants to join West Ham before the World Cup, (it will obviously have to be some sort of agreement as the window isn't open yet) I also get the feeling it wouldn't bother him what league we're in, and for £13m (the price quoted) even that would be affordable in the championship.

We wait and see stevie, is there a loan or freebie option :)

2.) 31 Mar 2018 07:49:23
We’ll get him don’t worry, Putin is financing the deal so he can secretly top up his diplomats😄😄.

3.) 31 Mar 2018 09:23:01
I back Putin to be out next owner :)

I know West Ham are going to get charged for what happened BUT when you think about it how can they be charged for failing to control the supporters when the stewards are not employed by West Ham, shouldn't the owners (LS185) be charged instead for failing to supply adequate stewarding/ policing for the football match?

This is actually a gray area and the costs of this and the duties involved is another area clouded and in dispute IRONMIKE.

10 Mar 2018 18:10:09
Chris Wood was scoring goals in the championship so a prem team bought him and he's banging in some important goals for them, Hugill was doing the same in the championship so we bought him and don't play him?

Stevie66

1.) 10 Mar 2018 18:39:54
Elijah Wood could have scored against us today! We were pathetic. Now that the love affair with Moyes is over, maybe we can plan for next season in the Championship.

2.) 10 Mar 2018 19:58:38
And another great move by us because if memory serves we were going to buy Chris wood but we turned him away because we didn't think he was good enough.

3.) 10 Mar 2018 23:34:02
Apparently shelvey had a magnificent game today as well and tore southampton to shreds. sully said he was rubbish and I am afraid this is the core of the problems a man who knows very little about football has a football club as a toy and is destroying it because he can.

4.) 11 Mar 2018 04:23:21
Perfectly put plus he wants thanks for doing it! Being the owner should be an honour and so treated with respect. All the son’s email accounts, DG’s email accounts, Brady’s column, messages from the chairman, is just attention seeking rubbish that no one wants to hear and it demeans the club. Combine this with the joke of a transfer policy that is derided by fans of all clubs. How did it come to this!

5.) 11 Mar 2018 09:05:00
Boleynboy you have hit the nail on the head and it's the core of our problems.

6.) 11 Mar 2018 21:20:39
the team needs a complete revamp from back to front and I said all season and last if NOBLE can get in our starting eleven we are in trouble and that ain't me singling out one player but him and kouyate are shocking it's no a coincidence that since OBIANG been out we ain't got a midfield and a lot of people on this site said I was talking rubbish and don't rate him well he was trying to do two playes jobs profs in the pudding I'm afraid.

7.) 12 Mar 2018 11:57:10
I'm fairly sure that it gets reported on this site every window that we intend to have a clear out or we intend to invest in new players and it never happens. Unless Sullivan can get a cheap deal it don't happen simple as that. Messi and Ronaldo could be available and within our Budget but Sullivan would still try and get the price to drop further. If we are not willing to invest other clubs will and that's why we end up with the rubbish that's left. If the players we recruit were that good why has nobody else recruited them first? Its a shambles and a mockery of a great club and history and the sooner they clear off the better for the club. NET SPEND Value is quite an eye opener!

Is Fonte off to China?

Stevie66

1.) 22 Feb 2018 17:35:11
Lots of papers reporting this thought he was a good buy at the time but seems he slowed up after coming back from the Euros and then unfortunately gave away too many pens was definitely getting back to form before the injury and maybe won't be the same again

Let's look on the bright side no excuse now not to give Ginge a contract extension.

I've seen an article that West Ham are close to signing Ryan Fredericks from Fulham on a free in the summer, can Mike or Eds clarify this?

I've seen that we want to keep Joe Hart come the end of the season, we should look at the keepers from the three teams that could go down, Butland, Forster and Foster, all English and you could throw Tom Heaton in the mix as he's not getting a game at Burnley.

Stevie66

1.) 20 Apr 2018 10:16:48
Stevie I hope this is just rumour I think I'd rather have Adrian as nbr 1 with Nathan Trott as back up

Of the 3 keepers going down obviously JB would be a great aquasition and BF is playing well but getting on in age whilst FF can't get into a poor SAINTS side

Burnley have 2 World class keepers and I wouldn't mind either of them.

2.) 20 Apr 2018 17:51:13
I would say the reason we may keep Hart is, he may be the cheapest option, cynical but I think possibly true! Butland would be too expensive and would go to a more successful club should Stoke be relegated! All obviously depends who would move and wants to come to us, if indeed any do? Think outfield is the priority, but who for Christ sake would be available and willing to come to us again? No good playing fantasy football with who we would like to have, we need to think in the real world of we are W. H. We all know we are cheapskates in the transfer market and a potential laughing stock compared to other Premier League clubs in the transfer market. In my opinion we need some established players that have Premiership experience or have been playing at a top level elsewhere!

19 Apr 2018 10:15:07
I thought we were getting a director of football, but apparently not.

Stevie66

1.) 19 Apr 2018 11:49:13
We have a new firm of cleaners starting on June 4th is that what was meant by a fresh start? IRONMIKE.

2.) 19 Apr 2018 13:49:55
Exactly what a load of rubbish. Promise the world and changes and nothing happens. Smoke screens and con artists and we fall for it every year. Now we go through the "if we stay up they will invest in players" phase. When we are safe we will go through the "We are mulling, pondering, considering, thinking about every player under the sun" phase and then we'll go through the "Doing absolutely nothing but trying to haggle a ridiculously cheap bargain deal" phase and end up with nothing but RELEGATION.

Do these people think we are stooped?

3.) 19 Apr 2018 14:13:10
Can’t believe they are already changing direction! It seems to me that there is no way they will let any control go no matter what area it is in, oh and obviously they won’t pay the Wages necessary to get a DOF, come on DgS proove me wrong and for a change make me smile!

17 Apr 2018 17:36:23
Can someone tell me why we signed Hugill, he hasn't played and now we're thinking of selling him, if they wanted a striker to sit on the bench then why not Martinez and save ourselves £10m

Stevie66

1.) 17 Apr 2018 21:52:27
Welcome to the outer limits and the twilight zone stevie :)

2.) 18 Apr 2018 11:51:20
Yep, this is how we roll. Buy a player and then don't play him and sell him. Brilliant. We go from one extreme to another lmfao.

Now down to serious business. Lots of noises coming out of Chelski apparently that they are looking at our players and one in particular. Everton also and Spurs.

In the interests of Business would it be wrong to think we could ask Chelski for some of there assets ie ZOUMA (with Rice at the heart of our Defence would do ok once he gets back to FULL FITNESS) . CHalobah maybe. Stoke rumour flying around about Shakiri? And if all else fails we will buy striker from Luton Town on the last day just to appease the fans.

3.) 18 Apr 2018 15:33:26
How can we expect to get our money back on a player we paid too much money for in the first place regarding hugill who I feel sorry for being judged on twenty minutes cameo appearances but how can we ask 9 mill as no premier clubs are going to be interested and championship clubs ain't going to pay 9 mill so we've done money.

4.) 18 Apr 2018 17:49:21
Good point kram. Totally agree.

5.) 18 Apr 2018 23:20:41
cheers dave .

17 Apr 2018 06:52:52
We could've done with Payet last night, I lost count how many free kicks we had just outside the box and we didn't know what to do with any of them.

Stevie66

16 Apr 2018 22:16:55
Where is one more win going to come from, got to attack Everton at home, and maybe Man City as they've already won the league they might just be their for the taking, we just seem to bottle it against the lesser teams.

Stevie66

1.) 16 Apr 2018 23:27:50
toon just beat arsenal, west brom beat man Utd, man city have won the league, Leicester nothing to play for arguably same for everton although I'm sure big sam would love to see us go down. we haven't made it easy on ourselves but having 3 goals disallowed today is very unlucky also harts keeping for their goal was poor.

I think we can do it as some of the teams near the bottom have to play each other, still making me nervous though just like when kouyate is on the ball and is the deepest midfielder.

Hi Mike, I knew we would be linked with Rashford as we are every player but if Sullivan really wants to get the fans back on side then this is the type of player he should aim for but knowing him he would prefer 34 year old Torres on a free.

If we go down then Gold and Sulivan have to make us the Man City of the championship and get the best players possible for that league, but let's hope it doesn't come to that and we can get another couple of wins and the odd draw to keep us up.

Could we end up ground sharing while development work is done, if so, who with, as I think most clubs hate us as it’s been the tax payer that’s payed for the stadium in the first place only to see it knocked down and start again, wouldn’t it be easier to build another stadium somewhere from scratch rather than knock down and rebuild?

Hi Mike, do we know how much it will cost to buy the stadium, could we get it at next to nothing as it’s costing the current owners too much, I think the Mayor of London just wants shot of it, and what would it cost to convert to a football stadium?

Totally agree Antonio is a grafter and has won us games but with 20 seconds left you just don't do that, but let's hope we can win a couple more games to stay up.

Agree Chelmsford, when you look at our last 3 away results (4-1, 4-1, 3-0) that was a massive improvement and massive result, it’s a shame we’ve had more players injured than fit this season.

Think most of us would've taken a draw before kick off, so well happy with that, Stoke at home and Everton at home are the games to win.

If they don't offer it to Moyes (which I think they will) or he doesn't want it, could Pearce step up and bring Rio in as defensive coach?
