This is massively hyperthetical post but one I'm making out of fear of an online rumour which I'm sure is completely false. The rumour stated Steve mclaren being one of the favourites to take over if Bilic was to ever get the boot. If that man ever got the job of running our football club I think I would just give up. The blokes a complete failure and I don't want him anywhere near my club.
Like a say hyperthetical but I feel I needed to get that out there 😂.

1.) 22 Aug 2017 17:49:27
Totally agree with you let's just hope it's a quiet news day.

2.) 22 Aug 2017 18:12:45
Appointing Steve McLaren would be stupid beyond words . I assume the value of the club would go south and certainly money would have to be put in if the club were relegated and obviously players would leave. The two Davids have to be VERY careful and I'm afraid SM is not the answer.

24 Jun 2017 11:35:51
Any truth in the patricio rumours? I think he'd be a great option over Hart. Experienced, coming to his prime at 30 and has great pedigree. Also the reported price and lower wages would make this a no brained for me.

1.) 24 Jun 2017 14:59:18
We need to sign:

However, this will take time as all the above will only be released once replacements are found. I for one will judge the board and the end of the transfer window as anything can happen yet. I do agree that if they fail this time then I think it's curtains and time for them to sell up. It's maybe not their lack of ambition but with the funds they have we are unable to compete with the teams around us and move forward. With this stadium we should be playing champions league football in the next 5-7 years and the way we are going about things currently it is more likely to be championship football.

2.) 24 Jun 2017 15:17:14
We won't sign Onyekuru now that Arsenal have agreed a fee. The club isn't far sighted enough to realise that £10M for Smalling is a bargain, so we won't get him. Wilshire would just join Carroll and Sakho on the treatment table for 7/ 8ths of the season - so yeah. nailed on we'll sign him.

Hart. Meh, rather Patrico if there's any chance at all. Iheancho? Nah. Now that it's being reported Sakho's "fit" he'll be lauded as a "new signing" again.

So that leaves Giroud. Sorry no chance, Sully just won't spring for an established PL striker when there's plenty of dodgy lower league nobodies he can loan, both from home and abroad. Besides, Giroud's just rocked up at Lyon airport which probably speaks volumes.

3.) 24 Jun 2017 19:38:48
rui p over hart
will hughes over wilshire (8mill to watford? bargain)
smalling or ake over all the othe cbs mentioned
iheanacio over giroud
onyekru at that price is worth a punt
couple of others worth looking at-tousart and ramselaar.

Rumours of a bid going in for Mario ballotelli in a local newspaper for 10m. Haha surely this is a joke. Where do these stories come from.

1.) 16 Jan 2016 13:21:46
maybe we could swap him for carroll lol.

2.) 17 Jan 2016 19:59:38
It came from the best selling tabloid in the UK The Brentwood Gazette, says it all really.

29 Aug 2015 10:26:29
Redrobbo and Phil1016 have to be two of the most negative people in the world. We have spent nigh on 30m. That's more than most prem teams so how dgs can be accused of not throwing funds to the club is ridiculous. Chill out and stop whining like babies people. This is West ham. We always do things thw hard way, but I'm sure things will turn around. Bilic will not get his team built in one window. It will take time. Look at how long it's taken lvg to get things his way at United with a much larger budget. At least give it till January before we get carried away

1.) 29 Aug 2015 10:48:41
Out net spend is 20 million not 30 million the club made a 10 million profit last year and will make more this year due to better tv deal

Having said that if you actually read my post I wasn't saying anything about how much was spent but how it was spent

And Yeh sometimes I'm negative tijlve but that doesn't stop me and hasn't stopped me from supporting west ham for 35 years so as I've said before I do t need you to tell me when I can and when I can't voice my opinion thanks

2.) 29 Aug 2015 11:27:30
Sorry badly worded that forget any profit from last year this summer alone we have a net spend of 20 million not 30 million

3.) 29 Aug 2015 11:27:56
With you mate. I change from positivity to negativity hourly at the moment.yesterday I was welcoming Matri!
I'd be really happy with squad for now if we get Moses and Ad'or.

4.) 29 Aug 2015 11:54:03
Yeah 20 million spent! Downing maiga sold! So how much our spend thus far? Not the 25 million at least as was promised. And remember not long back dgs saying if nesaceray they would add there own money if a 20 million striker became available .!? You got to remember us fans ave good memories dgs .

5.) 29 Aug 2015 12:23:42
One other thing I will add is this if it seems like I'm moaning it's because this is a transfer website so on here people dicuss what we need or what we need to get rid of there are plus points of course there are but at the moment we have mainly been discussing transfers or lack of on here so have given my opinion on that

6.) 29 Aug 2015 13:10:19
Just like redrobbo I am 54 and have followed and supported my beloved hammers since I was 7. When I got my first job at the age of 17 I followed them all over the country and even when I was in the army posted overseas I still managed to get time to cone home and watch them. I therefore think I am time served and as its a bloody rumour site have every right to say what I believe. If you don't like don't read

7.) 29 Aug 2015 13:30:01
This is the point, it's rumours, but these rumours are being treated as Gospel truth. Bids were putting in etc. No one really knows what and who we've bid for so there's no point getting wound up by.
We defo need a couple in but we're not the only team going for all the players we are after. It's competition to sign whoever we go for and sometimes it won't work out. In the past West ham been quick to throw big transfers and wages at a load of guff like dyer, Carroll, ljunberg etc. So understandable to take a more measured approach

8.) 29 Aug 2015 14:27:31
Measured I can appreciate, however, our owners NEVER pay the full asking fee and this is the reason that the majority of the time we lose out. I'm all for haggling and negotiating, BUT, surely before we make a bid we should be asking what the sale price is and will the club move on the asking price. Instead, we ask for valuation and time after time approach with unrealistic offers. Yilmaz was available at A massive £6.6m SO WE BID £3.5m, then we bid £4.5m and then £5.5m!! Are you having a laugh! When we went to Forest for Antonio for a further example, surely we must have asked first if he was available and what they wanted (you can't tell me we just dived in with the offer of JARVIS AND £4.5m). Our owners KNEW EXACTLY what Forest were after (which am sure we now know) so if he was a long admired high priority target why didn;t we ask what else they would take and then make a counter offer. Its all rubbish.and we do it every window to save a few quid. How many other teams mess about like this? Southampton certainly don't and look at their squad compared to us (and we came up at the same time)

9.) 29 Aug 2015 14:48:06
Southampton have raked in massive money which is why they have been able to pay fees, but they haven't spent that much. There net spend must be way lower than ours so not really a fair comparison.
Again we don't really know what and who we have bid for. My guess is some of these players we don't really believe will improve the first so don't want to spend the massive amounts clubs are quoting us. 6.6m for yilmaz is not a huge amount but take into account his age and untested outside of Turkey it's a risk. I wouldn't want there job to be honest. Everyone has there different ideas so can't please everyone but everythings a gamble on a restricted budget

10.) 29 Aug 2015 17:42:29
First four games we'd have taken six points if offered against who we played so let's get behind the boys but please not adebayor COYI

Positive Lookin lineup today. Good to a see a fully fit squad for a change. Fingers crossed for a positive result to go with it.

21 Apr 2016 08:08:37
Does anyone else get the feeling hodgson just don't like West ham. First he totally rules out calling up noble on motd because he can't stop talking bout Danny drinkwater, then says Carroll has no chance (now I'm not saying either should be called up but rule them out is harsh) .
And now he's defending vardys blatant dive against West ham sayin it was injust.

1.) 21 Apr 2016 09:09:30
Completely agree. I really don't like Hodgson. I think as a manager, he has done a fairly good job with England, but I really dislike his whole demeanor. I think he is massively outspoken and has become so self righteous. His political responses in interviews are just so annoying. On MOTD he was asked about Noble and gave some political waffle about there being many talented midfielders to choose from. You're not a politician! Stop acting like one and just concentrate on your job (which I have to say is not a demanding one)

Why he thinks he has the right to comment on Vardy's dive is beyond me. It's a clear dive, and even if it wasn't a dive why does Hodgson think he needs to say anything.

2.) 21 Apr 2016 09:48:54
And he has also now defended what vardy said afterwards which may get Vardy in more trouble.

3.) 21 Apr 2016 12:22:45
Hodgson is a mediocre manager at best everyone saw how terrible England were at the world cup how the same core group of players will do better is beyond me the only reason he is England manager is because he is a yes man, Cresswell should have been capped last year I don't think he hates west ham just don't think he is able to look or think outside the current squad unless it's at players who re at so called big clubs Leicester are an exception because they are top of league and because of media pressure.

19 Mar 2016 17:47:34
Robbed again by the sounds of it. Shame but would've taken a point at the beginning all day. 3 of our next 4 at home so good chance to pick up more points. A very proud hammer! Coyi.

1.) 20 Mar 2016 14:47:41
Robbed by poor ref.

01 Sep 2015 23:18:34
Great job by dgs today. Think we've had a really good window and look forward to seeing all the options we have in the squad now. This looks like the best squad we have had in a long long time. Work to do though but roll on the boring international break can't wait to see how we shape up against Newcastle COYI!

20 Aug 2015 14:58:08
Been reading this page for a few months now and it's great to hear iron mikes updates. I'm just really frustrated with my fellow West ham fans in general. There's to much panic and negativity. We've done good business so far, I don't agree that spending 15m on Austin is the answer, it's crazy money for a potential one season wonder and the fact no one else sees value here should tell the story. Dgs will do the right thing for the club and I'm sure will get someone over the line of top quality. Just be patient and have some faith. Things won't turn around over night

1.) 20 Aug 2015 20:56:20
Agree but the clocks ticking and the prices are going up as clubs are becoming more desperate. Need to make some signings very soon.

2.) 20 Aug 2015 22:44:11
Think prices will come down for some.and Austin is one of them. The R's need the cash and there are no takers.

3.) 21 Aug 2015 07:15:33
Good post Hammer316.
Some fans bang on about how bad the owners are. Without them, we may not have had a club. I think the fans have short memory spans. The Icelanders left the club in serious financial difficulties and DGS have almost cleared this debt while still investing (as best they can) in players. It may be our club, but it's their money. let's not forget that.
Some are saying that the owners lack class criticizing Austin, but here they are criticizing the board and investors of their own beloved club. Pot and Kettle springs to mind. Sorry to say it, but somebody had to.

Yh agreed we will always be around mid table but if you don't move forward and stay the same other clubs will take over and we'll fall by the way side.
I agree hardcore. I thought maybe this year would improve now people have had the chance to relocate so the fans that sing and chant more would be together.

it'll take time to get used to, it'll never replace upton park, it was typical old school stadium, times change and you have to move with the times or get left behind. in terms of the waiting list, it may very well be less than 50k, not everyone whos on a waiting list will end up takin the oppurtunity. We still have a massive support there, more than most would get in there, something we as a club should be proud of. How many chelsea fans would be in there new 60k stadium if they had a mid table team like ours? no way near as much I suspect.

i thought the atmosphere was pretty good tonight compared to a lot of games last year, especially the first half. I still think there's a lot of rose tinted glasses about the atmosphere at upton park, I've been there plenty of times when its been flat and quiet. The team have to do something to get the fans up like they did in the first half and its down to us as fans to create an atmosphere. End of the day we're here, upton parks gone and we have to move on and get on with it.

I think we've got a good team when all fit and I love Bilic, but I am beginning to think that someone could do better with them. I think we couldve done even better in the window had the board had been more committed, i'm startin to believe there all talk and no action and it's typical of Sullivan to shift blame on to the manager for certain players not being signed. They take no responsibility for anything going wrong and I'm getting a bit fed up with it.

Haha just exposed the crap excuse they made for not going out and getting him. I've been a very patient and supportive fan of our owners but I'm moving into the frustrated and pissed off camp now. Had enough of the big talk of marquee signings and constantly being let down.

I agree that Carroll was being targeted, he was unlucky to get booked for the first one, but a player of his experience, especially after what arnautavic done first game of season, should know not to make a clumsy attempt for the ball 90 seconds after being booked. It was purely stupidity.
Can't blame Hart for the goal, it was a point blank header from 5 yards, we just done well to hold on for so long and eventually they put a good enough ball in and got the equaliser.

I reckon plenty of times he will play up top against certain teams where we can play on the counter, and I'm sure there will be plenty of days and weeks where Carroll will be injured 😂
If a month or so down the line and we still ain't solved this then definitely, Bilic has to take some blame as at the end of the day he wanted chicarito, but at the moment I think he's doing the right thing and trying to get the solid platform at the back to work from.

He's an excellent player, but he's not world class. Modern football these days to be a top player, you have to be flexible. How many teams do you see in world football that player with a striker who literally just scores goals in the box and nothing else like Michael owen in his pomp. No one. We've got a good selection of different types of striker for different games which is good.

Every fan has there right to an opinion, but sometimes I think people are extremely harsh and just seem to find any reason to moan because 'there a fan and they have the right" and Bilic and the team should accept it, I think people should calm down a bit at times and show a little bit more patience.

Coz at the moment it's at the other end were having issues. We've had to go back to basics to stop conceding goals. Hernandez if he is "world class" as I see someone ridiculously put, surely should be able to run on to an Andy Carroll knock down from the left hand side shouldn't he? We haven't got the guile in the side at the moment to put balls through the eye of a needle to him until we get Lanzini back. At the moment he's doing the right thing and putting the teams results first. Bilic ain't got everything right but when he sorts one thing out it seems fans get on his case about something else.

Poor Bilic. Lose 3 games hammered. Pick up 4 points and 2 clean sheets from the next 2 games, still gets hammered. Give the guy a break.
