jose mourinho united clearout apparently on the cards this summer, mata rumour a load of tripe eds? doesn't make much sense to me. and although not previously linked, surely antonio valenica could be a good shout for right back to fill a few holes in the squad for a couple of seasons. quick, can play on the wing too and united have always looked more solid with him at RB than without over the past few seasons. read in papers that he could be a part of the same clearout. any info eds/ ironmike?

How horrible for the Man U fans to have a mass clearout! that's one thing about West Ham, we're much more family than investors orientated, can you imagine if we had a mass clearout, that would include our favourites, great players, but they don't quite fit into a certain manager's perceptions. Like Mata 2x Chelsea player of the year, then Mourinho cleared him out! That would be like Payet winning it again HOTY next year and Bilic selling, that's a terrible way to run things!

Hi Brooking I agree, but let's not forget its Mourinho were talking about, days have now gone for Man U of longevity of Managers and players, I think Man U could go down the road of Madrid and Chelski to a point where as a Managerial change will be every 3 years or so, if not sooner

There is so much money for the Premier teams now transfers fees seem somewhat a by issue, where even the so called little Prem teams will be spending £30m plus in windows easily. Mourunho has a proven track record of success as everybody knows, but he also in my view always finds a way out of a club without resigning when things are not going his way, and comes up smelling of roses all of the time.

We shall see next season how it pans out, but I honestly think the so called big teams will not be having it all there own way, the so called little teams will beat bigger teams, bigger teams will drop points against little teams. Unproven players from abroad will come in for big money and its a case of them hitting the ground running to justify costs, but I just don't see that happening.

Its going to be very interesting season with Manager egos and unproven players coming in for huge amounts. Its a shame Benitez is not there from Newcastle as that would have added to the mix.

let's face it none of our managers have lasted that long recently and all managers will have players they like and don't like if someone is not pulling their weight they have to go even fergie got rid of man u greats when he felt he had to, sadly football is a business and he businessmeans getting results not sentiment.

Hi fellas. v. v. long time reader, but first time poster. My chelsea mate with a few ties to the club and who claims to be in the know has told me that the recent request from chelsea as towards a ground share and the tour of the OS whilst true (as per ms brady) are also an effort to act as a smokescreen for contract negotiations between the two clubs. potnetial knock down prices for some players in the hope that the west ham board will veto the ground share deal if and when mr. abromavich needs a favour in return. apparently we are to be offered moses on the cheap (no thanks), with begovic (pending courtois situation), remy, loftus-cheek and ake (on loan at watford) being looked at. mikel also a free agent I believe come summer but could be wrong, worth looking at? chelsea have expressed an interest in a few of our players aswell with payet and oxford the main focus of their interest unfortunatley. hopefully neither have their heads turned if this is indeed true. ironmike/ eds heard anything to this effect? saw someone post recently about rafael as well, the fromer united rb who would be my choice for the position as good at getting forward, quick and prem experience so I hope that is true, and the interest in dragovic excites me.

{Ed002's Note - The ground share approach is correct. As for Chelsea offering WHU Moses, Begovic, Remy, Loftus-Cheek, Ake and Mikel with Chelsea interested in Payet and Oxford - I am afraid your friend is teasing you. As for Oxford, there is interest in him from elsewhere. As for DRagovic, there is certainly interest. Smokescreens are something popular amongst fans of football clubs (Liverpool in particular) but in real life don't exist.

Dinamo Kiev are keen to keep hold of Dragovoic but know that it may prove difficult. I understand that Dragovic might just be an option for Everton if Stones leaves but I also expect he will have options once formal offers are made, and West Ham certainly see him as one of the viable CB options.}

Irish Hammer, I think Ed has covered most of what I was going to say, this player ex hange story you have heard is a fairy story As I said long time past, Dragovic is a very real west ham target, but Everton as the Ed stated would be in a commanding position if they do a quick stones deal, However I think everton fancy other CBS rather than Dragovic, we shall see? IRONMIKE.

{Ed002's Note - I think you are correct about Everton and the change of manager there gives WHU the opportunity to step in and see if something can be agreed fairly quickly.}

whats the chances of a deal taking sakho to west brom and berahinho going the other way to us? both prob have similar enough values with maybe a few million difference and a deal could suit all parties surely. I know beras attitude hasn't been great the past season but is a class act on his day imo and would be an improvement. food for thought.

stoke have bid 20 million for a player that scored 4 PL goals in 28 appearances last year, way overpriced considering his attitude, he's only got one year eft on his contract and the fact he's not that good this would be taking a risk on a player that isn't going to be any better than what we have, would smack of desperation if this ws to happen but I don't think there's much chance of it anyway.

2.) 21 Jul 2016 16:36:59
How many games did he start in those 28 apps tho.

I'd take him in a heart beat.

3.) 21 Jul 2016 19:39:06
aye he couldn't get a run of games last season starting and playing 90 mins. was brilliant the season before. fresh start?

4.) 21 Jul 2016 20:48:49
I think 20 million is too much of a gamble I rekon he will sulk the minute he realises he's not in the first team every week, don't see why we'd take the risk, it's possible WBA would want even more than that just not worth it I think for that juch trees much better players with a much better attitude than him.

i wonder if this is to boost the price up on if we really do have interest in the player, as we have done to them with lacazette?
