Yes and its all rumours by definition, sometimes someone is mentioned in good faith and then for one reason or another it doesn't happen, I'd say Mike has a good track record and we miss his input.

I agree Brooking ironmike is definitely missed also I've noticed the eds don't post much anymore it's a great shame and I hope they all return soon.

{Ed001's Note - Mike is away sadly.}

2.) 20 Jan 2016 14:48:29
i agree that mike is missed, but while he's away its up to us to pick the slack!

COYI.

I understand Mike is away somewhere, but what's keeping him from posting every once in a while during this time of year where rumours are flying about?
Is he down in the rainforest or the Sahara with no access to the internet?

5.) 20 Jan 2016 21:39:16
Middle east I believe.

6.) 21 Jan 2016 09:36:07
Middle East? He must've gone to pick up emenike then haha.

What a performance yesterday, loved it! Came so close to winning, Mauro missing an open goal, right in front of us, oh me, oh my! Carroll was running around, like he wanted it. Moses could have wrapped it, we hit the post twice, ok, they had lots of shots, but we had the better chances. Bilic, I ask you, how can we play superb like that but rubbish v Watford, Spurs, please tell us! Jenks dropped, good. Reid out of his skin! Whole Team top marks, same again please!

1.) 06 Dec 2015 15:05:44
Agree with all comments, it was a performance full of determination and pride, we need much more of the same, my hands were already up when zarate missed, But he had a cracking game nevertheless, zarate Antonio. No need to knock on the managers door now, to get a game, they will have plenty of game time now, IRONMIKE.

2.) 06 Dec 2015 17:38:04
couldnt agree more antonio showed exactly what we were speaking about in the summer mike!

Zarate has been good anyway I think and we definatly look so much better with tonks at right back with reid and ogbonna at centre half we got a nice partnership there that could be there for a few years yet!

as mike has eluded to there was a real performance full of determination and pride the players owed us that I rekon so hats off to them!

3.) 06 Dec 2015 18:34:52
Definitely they owed us after Watford and Spuds and do think Bilic is the one who masterminded this Team switch, drop Jenks, get more out of Zarate. Don't recall Carroll having a shot, but he did get the knock down that Zarate should have won the match with. I saw some interesting stats other day that we win more %age wise with Carroll than without.

Anyways when they play like that, you get such a good feeling! We want more!

What's everyone's thoughts on the season to come? 7th? Higher? Lower?

brooking_1980

1.) 16 Sep 2016 16:44:38
hope to survive?

2.) 16 Sep 2016 18:06:28
Stability.

3.) 17 Sep 2016 07:37:34
Top half would be good, then hopefully push on.

4.) 17 Sep 2016 07:52:47
At the start of the season I thought maybe top six, but now realising how moving ground has impacted on us I think possibly top half. I think our expectations have gone up due to us having a good last season. Be nice to have a good cup run to please everyone too.

24 May 2016 08:58:00
Strong rumours we got Tore! Very happy if so £12m as he definitely Bilic man!

brooking_1980

1.) 24 May 2016 09:38:14
Hearing the same from various sources.

2.) 24 May 2016 09:40:44
Were have you seen this.

3.) 24 May 2016 10:00:10
12 milion sounds like too much for a squad player, thinks es been quite good in Turkish league but he never made the cut at chelski I'd give him a go but not for 12 million its too much wanna see antonio playing wide right for a whole year.

4.) 24 May 2016 11:22:53
HITC and various Tabloids in TURKEY report

West Ham are reportedly closing in on the signing of Turkish international Gokhan Tore, report CNN Turkey.
The report claims Tore will sign for £12m, with an agreement in principle in place. It also says Tore will wear the number seven shirt at the Hammers next season.
At Besiktas he played under manager Slaven Bilic, now currently in charge at West Ham.
Tore, 24, scored five goals for Besiktas this past season, and provided six assists.
He would be another dangerous attacker in the Hammers squad, along with the likes of Michail Antonio and Dimitri Payet.

If West Ham could wrap his signing up quickly then it will be a good early marker for this summer as they look to build on an impressive season, and he would become the club's second addition, following Havard Nordtveit's capture on a free from Borussia Moenchengladbach.

5.) 24 May 2016 11:39:05
ssn reporting it as well now saying we are in advanced talks for him.

6.) 24 May 2016 12:07:01
Great News. Hope Bilic puts him on the left with Antonio on the right. Question is, which striker/ s will we end up with.
Would anyone like to hazard a guess.

Personally I reckon we'll let Sakho, Eminike and Valencia leave. I'm hoping we don't buy another South American cause we don't have a great record with them. I hear a lot about Benteke, but I reckon if we have the chance to get Lukaku MkII in Batshuyai we got to have a go for him. Ben Yedder would be a good move but I believe Spurs have stolen a march with that one and Mourinho United are heavily linked with Bacca. What about Bony and Ayew for a total of £30m?

7.) 24 May 2016 12:56:36
would you drop lanzini or payet then phil?

I wouldn't want ayew after what happened last year don't think he's that much of an improvement on what we have, personally I still like zaza but he seems to be interesting everyone.

8.) 24 May 2016 14:02:33
Its a tough choice that I am glad SB has to make but we certainly have to have width. Maybe with Payet in behind the main striker.

9.) 24 May 2016 15:59:45
tore can play any where across the center so with the extra games.

10.) 24 May 2016 16:26:10
yes we need a good squad but the first team has needs, paying 12 million for a player that can play in a position where argubaly our 2 best players this year play ( payet and antonio) when we don't have a first team right back seems a bit dumb to me just seems someone will end up dissapointed.

So. Can we win the League? Or will like my dreams, fade and die?

Last season we were 4th at Xmas, played fantastic, perhaps the best match I ever saw Oct 2014 beat Man C 2-1, just like yesterday, funny enough. I don't know what went on in the dressing room after Xmas, but we were shocking after.

This season, I wonder if with Europa League early start, we will flag around March?

What does everyone think!

brooking_1980

1.) 21 Sep 2015 09:53:13
It's nothing to do with flagging, the game is all about what squad you have available when injuries and suspensions, and tiredness start to bite, The wh squad has markedly improved no question but we are still well short of the , two teams NECCESSARY to bring continued success, Take tomorrow nights cup game at Leicester for an example, , SB, is unlikely to play hendrie at Lb because at this time not thought good enough, meaning cresswell plays again no RB cover so Tomkins needed at RB, Collins in Reid has to play again, etc etc, Carroll will probably lplay , with Antonio, and zarate BUT WH are not yet in a position to have a complete change around , for these games, BUT it will come, it will take the next two windows, BUT it will come, IRONMIKE

2.) 21 Sep 2015 10:25:00
Antonio can't play, cup tied, but there is a spare Team now, its also the players window to get noticed, here's my suggestion:

Randolph
O'Brien, Collins, Henry, Hendrie
Oxford, Amalfitano, Cullen, Samuelson
Carroll, Zarate

Maybe some 1st Team players on the bench. Perhaps Jelavic/Lee instead of Carroll in that list?

3.) 21 Sep 2015 11:09:48
Obrien s injured anyway, but what's that team going to achieve , not very much I would think, With no disrespect I think you get the overall picture, regards IRONMIKE

Great result, we're playing the West Ham way (although Newcastle were rather weak)

Mike, the Board have pillaged the club and taken the fans for fools, what else are they going to do but march? What else would you suggest?

Mike, we have followed your postings closely for the last several windows.

I think it was about 6 windows ago, that you told us that there was a strategy at Board level, to build a World Class Team to match the World Class Stadium.

We now look at the squad and can see that was all Hot Air. The Board is incapable of building a strong Team, they only know the power of the Pound. They treat the fans like fools and they think West Ham is worth £ 650m. I don't know Mike how you can continue working at West Ham and defending the Board in any way.

Big Sam was right when he said Deluded, however its not the fans who are, but the Board which is fully Deluded beyond comprehension.

Hi Mike, we've known the problems with Sakho since he threw his toys out before Arsenal at home last March was it - just shows how spineless the Board are that they're not able to deal with it, but continue to stamp on the Season Ticket holders in block 113 or the Away Fans (although the malformed 10% away Ticket trial has now been deemed a failure and withdrawn) .

Honestly, as long as they get 50k season Ticket holders, they couldn't give a damn.

But they are allowed to discuss it, its a Democracy last time I checked.

{Ed001's Note - apparently not, or there would not be people calling for a second vote, just because they disagreed with the result of the first one......}

Should push his transfer value up £ 5m, don't think he is going, but he didn't exactly rule it out in the interview.

I reckon if we paid £5m on a 5 year contract, and he's loaned back to Leeds immediately, so they continue to pay his wages, then the amount to put against FFP this season would be £ 5m/ 5 years = £1m, then its half a season so its £ 500k against FFP. Not much in this context.

This is rather simplified, but its along the lines of, would like comments as I'd like to know how it goes too.

brooking_1980

{Ed002's Note - Not like that. Please don't get tied up in the finances when you don't understand them.}

Not sure why the Ed's allowed an irrelevant to West Ham rumours comment, its only season before last we did the Treble over Spurs.
