Lets not get too carried away, so far it is 2 loan signings if we manage to get Hernandez Arnatovic and the Balde deals over the line that will show some real intent. Then it might be time to eat a bit of humble pie.

BoleynBoy

1.) 18 Jul 2017 19:14:36
1 loan 1 free.

2.) 18 Jul 2017 19:17:33
Bbc just put deal accepted in region on 24m for marko.

3.) 18 Jul 2017 20:05:11
Yes, ssn have said he has said his farewells at Stoke training ground ahead of his move its worth 24 mill. so we got hart looks like arnoutovic in next few days and then hopefully Hernandez by end of week and if we do pull of the keita balde deal then it shows real intent and we should have a big season.

4.) 19 Jul 2017 11:57:03
We will only have Hart for one season in my opinion because if he has a blinding season for us we will be priced out of a permanent deal because city will want 35 million and he ain't worth that I'd be very sceptical about Hart this season but we live in hope .

Enner Valencia. He came, he saw, he went, another one of our dodgey south American signings who couldn't quite cut the mustard bites the dust, even everton who seem to of found the magic money tree didn't want him, sort of says a lot really.

Another bunch of money wasted on another South American Sullivan special.

I see Reece Oxford is getting shipped out on loan again next season so frustrating this lad has been good enough for the step up for over a season now and keeps getting ignored I am amazed they managed to get him signed up to be honest because he must of had other offers I know Man U showed an interest.

BoleynBoy

1.) 19 May 2017 18:45:03
ITS OBVIOUS, that the powers that be don't think that at this time OXFORD. Is quite ready, he wasn't exactly a show stopper at reading , He's one that may still come good, maybe he needs another year out on loan, IRONMIKE.

2.) 19 May 2017 19:43:25
Like most of you I would have hoped he would have seen more action by now, at the same time I think Burke is ahead of him and a season on loan might be the best option. With no Europa league to worry about, I hope they ship out the dead wood and go for quality over quantity this time. If we get injuries then blood the youngsters, not load up the squad with players who moan and cause issues if they end up being a squad player. We're not as attractive an option as last season so I think we might have to stomach a few older, high wage options that could take us forward short term and put us on a level where the exciting signings would be more realistic.

3.) 19 May 2017 20:34:41
It's amazing to think that it is nearly 2 years since he played out of his skin against Arsenal on the opening day of the season. How will any of our young players improve if they are not given a chance. I think it's just an unfortunate side effect of playing awful as we cannot allow our youngsters to try to shine because we desperately need the points and can't take the risk. Freddie Sears springs to mind, looked like a great talent but didn't get a good run and where is he now? I don't see how the young players can be any worse than the shower that we have seen this season. I like Bilic and I really want him to be a success but sometimes wonder if we can continue to back him for sentiment reasons only. If he was not an ex player he would of been sacked in December. Play the youngsters because they are ready is my opinion before they become Frustrated and want to leave.

4.) 20 May 2017 12:54:20
Reece Burke is better than oxford, ox ford played well against arsenal but got beasted against lukaku and was terrible against the romainan part timers he needs game time a year on loan would do him the world of good as long as it's to the right team look how much cullen and Burke have come on.

5.) 21 May 2017 09:07:40
Yeah I do also like Burke Robbo think he's quality, I feel they could definitely become top quality regular top flight players so maybe if we are to loan them we should be offering them to the newly promoted clubs so they can get the experience required to be able to play for our great club.

6.) 22 May 2017 12:08:48
Me personally would have cashed in on OXFORD as ithink he's overated.

Lol ok I'm a tool Boleyn boy but I hope you were joking mate.

5.) 01 Feb 2017 21:20:15
This is a choke what a nightmare debut from FONTE just shows you how far away we are from the top teams not singling out one player but NOBLE is not good enough he has no pace, strength, engine or ability to perform at top level for ninety minutes I really think we'd be a better teamwithout him I know he's a trier and West ham through and through but it's time now to get rid

6.) 01 Feb 2017 22:03:27
The difference in class was so huge it was embarrassing this so called next level is a million miles away. The pitch suits more away teams than us. Make it smaller so the fans are even further away, I do miss Upton park.

WOW MP starting to show what he is about now an unwavering manager who won't get too down in defeat and too high on victory some people on here could do the same. Don't want to put a dampener on what was a really solid performance but that has to be one of the worst man u teams I have seen for over twenty five years. You can only beat what's in front of you and we did it in style.

And in true West ham fashion we are brought down to earth with a thump. Very poor even giving it was Liverpool away the margin between them and us was huge our midfield was leggy and to be honest useless it keeps exposing a weak defense and creates very little for the front players. A lot of work to do. Does anybody think a bigger ground might help.?

Is the recent unusual investment down to a certain American billionaire called Albert Tripp smith who purchased a 10% stake in West ham last year.? Is this the man ready to take the helm. Does make you wonder all this splashing the cash is very unlike GandS.

BoleynBoy

1.) 18 Jul 2018 07:58:59
I definitely think that Tripp is playing some part in this.
His pure expertise in finance, and access to hedge funds, for me is giving the club more horsepower.
(Cheap money, structured payback)
Being successful on the pitch, also leads to better sponsors on a global platform. ( our club is one of the best supported in the world, without much success, so the potential is massive) COYIs.

2.) 18 Jul 2018 11:36:04
Tripp may well have injected a cash amount into the club and in The long run we will have to see where this path leads, however his true position I believe will be more obvious should West Ham purchase the stadium and look to redevelop it, tripps huge wealth and expertise will then come to the fore ( if it happens of course,

Well done sully for getting the best name on the list. Now don't cock it all up by thinking you know better than him when it comes to buying players, trust him back him and keep all transfer targets quiet and we might just might of turned a corner.

I agree if he wanted to come he would agree the deal on the table which probably includes performance bonuses. Unfortunately not many modern day agents or players would want this and having played 38 games last season Jack will probably feel he has nothing to prove.

Forget contracts there not worth the ink. look at conte he still has a year on his contract but obviously wants out and is engineering his exit rather well.

Rather pellegrini than Rafa to be honest. Just not sure how long term this is, realistically how long can you see him staying even if he does well. I can't see it being more than three seasons tops. Maybe a younger hungrier man would of been more long term and provided the stability we desperately need.

Apparently shelvey had a magnificent game today as well and tore southampton to shreds. sully said he was rubbish and I am afraid this is the core of the problems a man who knows very little about football has a football club as a toy and is destroying it because he can.

Quite worrying though that after three games Hugo Lloris has more points on his own than our entire team.

Too early to panic. MP I beleive is experienced enough to see when something isn't working and change it. Having said that the man in the opposition dugout today I have previously said is the man we should of moved heaven and earth to get, the guy never stops impressing me.

We had opportunities in the past at Upton park we just failed to build on good seasons. You would have to be foolish not to see the bigger stadium is a great opportunity to build, but I will reserve judgement until we have actually won something or are regularly in the top seven "fortunes always hiding" . One thing is for sure the fans can't do it for them. We can spend our money and cheer but at the end of the day it will be down to MP and whether he can turn these players into a team.

Thats my point exactly MP is a far superior manager than Avram Grant and is far more likely to win a trophy regardless of what stadium he is in. Successful managers attract good players simple as that. If in 5 years time we have not won anything the good players will not come just to play at the LS it is absurd to think otherwise unless they are mercenaries and who wants a team like that.

If you were a good player and was looking for a move and was looking to win a trophy would you opt to play for Manuel Pellegrini in a 35000 seater stadium on say 60 grand a week or would you like to play for Avram Grant in a 80000 seater stadium on a 100 grand a week? I know which one I would choose. Yes stadiums bring in extra cash but they don't win you trophies and build successful teams managers do that.
