So the PL teams have agreed or should that be greed to pay Richard Scudamore a £5M bonus that could have been £5 off my season ticket or better still given to kids football

Still with a bit of luck HMRC will consider it an income and tax him nearly half of it.

mercerl

1.) 16 Nov 2018 07:16:44
You can't be taxed on bonus pay mate.

2.) 16 Nov 2018 11:57:05
Am i missing something? . can´t be taxed on bonus! . yes you do.

So according to the Evening Standard Nasri on a 6 month contract from Jan 2019 at £80K a week and Rice is still on £2.5K the phrase the lunatics are running the asylum comes to mind.

1.) 12 Nov 2018 22:05:48
The Sun now suggesting it’s on the verge of collapsing as the medical suggests he is too unfit. I would prefer too they sort out Rice and bring in players who aren’t only for six months like Nasri as we need to build a stronger squad for next year and the year after.

26 Aug 2018 11:54:47
Much better yesterday but we've got to learn to take our chances better Snodgrass guilty of poor final balls either shots or passes and Wellbeck had so much time for the 3rd goal it beggered belief in the poor defence showed again At least in the past you would see Reid an Collins throw themselves onto blocks that doesn't seem to be happening any more

It will be interesting to see the squad for the Wimbledon game.

1.) 26 aug 2018 16:29:24
the third goal was irrelevant as the fame was stretched as we were going for it but 1 thing is really bugoing me at the minute and that's the masuaku thing as the whole whufc fan base can see he ain't a l/ b even moyes worked that out i would rather ogbonna there as he's left footed quick enough and stronger in the air and more defense minded so come on mp do the right thing and releave him of his pain at l/ b and also how good did wolvessel look yesterday not going to be easy.

2.) 27 Aug 2018 10:51:42
For all our complaints Sanchez did well in midfield. i'd like to see him and ogbonna together and If we can now sort the defence we might be on to something.

3.) 27 Aug 2018 11:33:02
Snodgrass had a good input in the game but he is not clinical enough, hope to see an improvement. Feel for Masuaku, the guy is quality down that wing, with his pace and skill, but being stunted by playing him in a position, LB, that is not his strength. Anderson in that central role blossomed, he played with more freedom and the class showed, great assist for Arnautovic's goal.

The defensive play of the team, although much better, is still much work in progress, looking fragile when caught on the counter attack. Sanchez I thought done okay in his first game, made some good blocks, has good positional sense, but still think Pellegrini should have targeted a top notch CDM in the window. I know its all about priorities and finances available but the CDM and LB positions have been long standing issues.

Hope to see a comfortable win against Wimbledon, restore some confidence in the side going into the match against Wolves who did play well against Man Cty . If the team can show the quality they well have for the full 90mins and be more clinical in front of goal then they should get the 3 points.

Very Positive now about next Season Fredericks very pacey Diop strong Fabianski lots of Experience in PL and best stats over last few Seasons and Now Wiltshire who I have always rated even though the injuries have been severe

In normal circumstances I'd be very happy with that but with the others we are talking to it could be the Best season for signings ever.

I've got my tickets for the Wycombe game and Jasonb I figure it might be a bit warmer than last November's game.

1.) 09 Jul 2018 16:16:00
I'm with u mate the signings looking good hope we get yarmalenko over the line and maybe another midfielder and push Holland into squad and I'll be happy I just received my tickets for Ipswich game hopefully see a few cameos then.

2.) 09 Jul 2018 16:37:29
Mike, Any truth to interest in Miguel Almiron? If so, we should look into Josef Martinez as an attacking option as well. Has 38 goals in 38 games played.

3.) 09 Jul 2018 17:36:13
I hope so merl lol lol god that was a cold night horrendous! Lol I’m going Saturday with the mrs as normal, be rude not too as the ground is only a five minute drive from my house, beer or two before mate? Lol.

4.) 09 Jul 2018 17:52:18
Almiron was definentky a target but as you are now fully aware things change all the time WH have dropped interest at this time but may return depending on circumstances. IRONMIKE.

5.) 09 Jul 2018 17:54:13
I’m a season ticket holder for Atlanta United. I’d absolutely fall all over myself for Miggy to make the move to the Hammers. Not so sure about Martinez. He has a lot of natural ability, but he’s also a bit of a man-child. He needs constant attention and consoling from the staff and if he isn’t the center of attention he shuts down as a performer.

Make it over for a game Appalachian?

10.) 09 Jul 2018 20:15:57
Unfortunately, not yet. had a family tragedy at the end of last season. Who knows about this year.

If anyone happens around the ATL area let me know. We’ll catch a match or a pint.

11.) 09 Jul 2018 21:50:45
Jason, my tickets are in the family stand block e row J seat 108. see if we can catch up.

09 Jun 2018 15:18:44
£60million for Arnie let's face it is is a lot of dough. His one season with us was interesting the first few weeks he was indifferent poor play getting sent lack of effort etc. Then the game against Stoke woke him up and it was if he had seen the light - non stop running clever ball play and bringing his team mates into the game No he is at the World Cup if he has a good tournament his value will soar and the temptation will be very difficult to ignore a transfer to a Champions League side

Look at it another way £60 million is enough for a free season ticket for everyone for a whole season - as of that's going to happen

I do believe in the end it will be down to what Arnie wants to do and for the way he played for the last 6 months I wish him well in whatever he decides but I hope he stays!

1.) 09 Jun 2018 15:38:25
So what is your point?

2.) 09 Jun 2018 17:12:09
Just watch vidieo of FREDERICK'S and he'd give ZABALETTA 10 yards and still beat him he's double rapid good luck to any left back next season I've never seen a right back as quick in my life he looks quicker than WALKER what a signing, could be our best ever as good as PAYET till he went on a moody one . COYI.

3.) 09 Jun 2018 17:37:37
Well I don't know who you think Arnoutavic will be playing for at the world cup because Austria did not qualify? The only way he is going is if he buys a ticket and sits in the stands with everyone else which I doubt will affect his value.

4.) 09 Jun 2018 18:31:27
Kram, he was a county 100m sprint champion as a youngster, so we now have our own Usain Bolt😁😁⚒⚒.

5.) 09 Jun 2018 18:34:20
Diggy😂😂 well spotted, made me smile, never picked up on Austria not in the W. C. 😂😂.

6.) 09 Jun 2018 21:40:15
😂 no disrespect meant mercerl.

7.) 09 Jun 2018 22:48:12
I was aware of that CHELMSFORD so was I and I ended up being a window cleaner you hear that sort of thing all the time but I'm on about running with the ball totally different skill as all sprinters would be footballers DAREN CAMPBELL tried and failed but this will be our best signing because he can play a bit as well as defend. COYI.

8.) 10 Jun 2018 07:11:30
Has anyone noticed that lazio want €40 mill for anderson and we have offered €27 mill? I wonder who is behind this farce!

9.) 10 Jun 2018 08:07:28
Kram, when you you were a bit speedy as you say, was that running with or without the ladders😂😂 Yes of course running with the ball at your feet is entirely different, but usually its a couple of yards or so in front to give you the chance to sprint ahead, but it’s a great asset to have, I think all teams need some paces players and we have now acquired one the fastest, surprised no bigger clubs beat us to his signature👍😄⚒⚒.

Just watched part of Sean Dyche post match interview and he was talking about doangans pen

Really refreshing to hear an opposing manager say it was a pen but because Grady didn't roll around he was ignored.

Dyche point was that referees need to stop giving pens for artistic effort and give them when they're fouls - it's on You tube if you want to have a look.

Was it just me or does anybody else agree that Martin Atkinsons performance today was a disgrace allowing advantage when we had none a blowing up whenever Spurs had a free kick plus lots of other oddities what was the re tandem goal kick all about.

mercerl

1.) 20 Oct 2018 21:06:02
Atkinson was awful.

What a result Declan Rice man of the match.

mercerl

1.) 16 Sep 2018 18:42:28
I agree with you there mercerl Rice was fantastic.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 19:36:16
Stevie and other posters that predicted a win, my hat off to you optimists😄👋 what a prick I look saying we would lose, but what the f—- do I know😂 fantastic performances by everyone, up front Yarmelenke, Arnie, Anderson, great Arnies goal and assist👍 Yarmies 2nd goal super👍Defence were super as well, Noble run his legs off, Rice very accomplished, every other player was great, can’t have any criticisms with such a workmanlike performance, well done lads. Really nervy watching on Sky, now can relax tonight and watch it al again on MOTD😂😂😂⚒⚒⚒⚒.

3.) 16 Sep 2018 22:28:35
Rice and Obiang would have to share MoM for me. They must started v Chelski.

4.) 16 Sep 2018 23:29:28
Likewise was pessimistic and was wrong, a great win. The only thing I do still feel justified about is the defenders aren’t as bad as people think and it always looked to me like it was the midfield not giving them support so they were stretched out of position too often. Today with Rice, Obiang and Noble tracking their players and supporting the defenders we looked better. Wilshire might just be a luxury we can’t afford at the moment.

5.) 16 Sep 2018 23:24:04
Agree with you there Markro. They all earnt their places for the Chelsea game. Bring Jack on for Nobes after 60min maybe. Jack needs to know he isn't an automatic pick until he shows some class and form. Imagine if we had Manu fit! I feel MP is learning what his players can deliver in competitive games, and their weaknesses. Hopefully he can keep putting balanced teams out going forward. Long way to go still, and two tough games coming up.
My only thought may be Frederick's to come in to deal with Hazard's pace? Or can Zaba's experience be enough?

Guys just watched a recording of the BBC show "The Premier league Show" and a throw away comment that mentioned West Ham have now lost more games than any other team in the PL era.

Have to say that this depressed me more than anything else that has been going on.

mercerl

1.) 16 Sep 2018 10:54:08
mercerl, you’ll be forever being depressed on and off following our lot, I get pissed off and angry for a while not depressed! Many worse things in life mate, look at the Hurricanes and flooding in Carolina and the Philippines, people losing children, families, everything they own, now they have a reason to be depressed☹️ Hope that doesn’t sound like a sermon merc, apologies if it does, don’t like the thought of it getting to you to much! I will be watching it later live, so I hope we see effort and closing down and no short stupid passing in and around our 18 yard box! ⚒⚒⚒⚒COYI.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 11:23:30
PS mercerl, 😂could be worse, you could have been a Man U supporter, they expect their lot to win the league and every game they play and they have the most miserable manager in all the league😰😰😰😖😖😖at least we don’t expect win but are ecstatic when we do, prefer it that way as long as are in Premiership which is looking perilous in the early days!

3.) 16 Sep 2018 11:56:41
You know my old man is a Gooner and wanted me to follow. My mum and uncle took me to the Boleyn aged six and and have been a Hanners fan ever since. Never regretted it and when we do have the occasional win over Arsenal it’s all that much more pleasing. Easy to support the top teams but true joy comes from supporting teams that won’t win each week but when they do 😀.

4.) 16 Sep 2018 12:26:51
Sdl, without a doubt, I honestly believe that👍Think that applies to the top 4 or 6 clubs supporters, they have been bred on success in the past and expect nothing less, bit of a culture shock when they are knocked off their perches😂😂Those that get less in life of everything appreciate things more when they do get them! ⚒⚒⚒.

Just had look up and despite not remembering it the last time we beat the toffees was 5th March 2016 at Goodison

Rees Oxford actually started thaday but was subbed at the start of the 2nd half for Andy Carroll

With just 12 mins to go Everton were 2 0 up despite Kevin Morallis being sent off on 34 mins when Antonio scored followed by Sakho not long after and on 90 mins Payet popped up with winner

Wow how soon we forget.

Here here Jason feel that Adrian has been a great signing for us and has been a bit of a scapegoat

Only last week it was reported other clubs are interested in Nathan Trott so is it time to give him a go in the first team squad.

Great to watch the game last night and it took me back 30 years when I was at the Boleyn when we beat Bury scoring 10

Got to say I thought the kids were brilliant last night showed how playing together for a period really helps.

Would also like to applaud the Macclesfield fans who all stayed to the bitter end can't be easy when your bottom of the football league and losing 8 0.

Like your line up Bobby but not so sure about Oxford what I saw of Sanchez yesterday for the short time he was on the pitch looks good and he was moving forward all the time reminded me of a bit like Alex Song in his first season for us.

Although Fabianski made some good saves thought he could have done better for the Wilson goal the ball went through his legs I've always liked Adrian and can't see much difference between him and Fabs. Wouldn't be surprised if a Spanish side came in for him before the end of the Window.

Interesting debate guys if you look at certain players in particular Antonio and Cresswell they have lost pace after injuries the same could be said of Yarmalenko, I understand he hardly played from January then came straight into the PL so there is a case for thinking he might improve

It's really obvious Arthur can't defend well enough but I think we all agree that he is goodish going forward so how about playing Arthur in front of Creswell maybe coming of the bench and moving Anderson inside

I've been a long time fan of Rice and think he is a must on the team sheet interesting watching John Walters on GOS this morning saying both Hart and James Collins think he was West Hams best player last year.
