reece Oxford wanted by Borusia Man City and now Everton. Am I missing something or are West Ham If those 3 clubs want him he must have something - just hope this isn't another Quinna sotuation.

Before the game yesterday I realistically thought we would be lucky to keep it to a 3-0 city win so want too surprised at 4-0

I think had we taken all our chances this could have been a high scoring drawer Antonio could have had had a hat trick Arnie ce close twice and even Zab could have got on the score sjheet had he shot instead of passing inside the 6 yard box

We now have a run of 8 winnable games only hope that Arnies injury doesn't prevent him playing 100% and with the threat of Carroll coming back we have a bit more of a strike partnership

I actually think we missed Snodgrass yesterday and it is obvious to the 54,000 home supporters that Creswell should always start on front of Arthur

Subs seemed a bit strange but were we going to get 3 goals? Probably not so better to let Carroll recover a bit more and come back fired up for the visit to Newcastle I'm still optimistic of a top 20 finish lol.

Sun reporting Stephen el Shaarawy is wanted by MP, Mike. Any inside info on this one as I really think this could be a real step up.

1.) 22 Nov 2018 17:59:29
Yes mentioned this fortnight ago, he’s more like it. IRONMIKE.

2.) 22 Nov 2018 18:57:21
Cheers Mike.

3.) 23 Nov 2018 21:11:57
Yep most def a good one, but back to whu today sadly, I'm hearing / reading that lanzini might indeed be out until next season ( let's hope that's all ) so ( if fit and able ) would nasri be a short term fix?

4.) 23 Nov 2018 22:05:56
Nasri of Arsenal, Man City yes, but what would we be getting now? IRONMIKE.

5.) 24 Nov 2018 18:27:52
True Mike,

15 Nov 2018 20:21:49
So the PL teams have agreed or should that be greed to pay Richard Scudamore a £5M bonus that could have been £5 off my season ticket or better still given to kids football

Still with a bit of luck HMRC will consider it an income and tax him nearly half of it.

1.) 16 Nov 2018 07:16:44
You can't be taxed on bonus pay mate.

2.) 16 Nov 2018 11:57:05
Am i missing something? . can´t be taxed on bonus! . yes you do.

3.) 16 Nov 2018 17:26:05
I’m pretty sure that he was paid plenty to do the job and I hear he will still be “consulting” - why on earth would he be offered £5m?

4.) 16 Nov 2018 19:09:08
Thanks Costa tax and NI are taken as it's classed as part of your pay just like a waiters tips.

5.) 16 Nov 2018 19:24:51
Yes, 100% he will be taxed on it!

So think of Sully having to effectively pay £ 125k to HMRC on Richard behalf and £ 125k to Scudamore.

12 Nov 2018 17:09:17
So according to the Evening Standard Nasri on a 6 month contract from Jan 2019 at £80K a week and Rice is still on £2.5K the phrase the lunatics are running the asylum comes to mind.

1.) 12 Nov 2018 22:05:48
The Sun now suggesting it’s on the verge of collapsing as the medical suggests he is too unfit. I would prefer too they sort out Rice and bring in players who aren’t only for six months like Nasri as we need to build a stronger squad for next year and the year after.

I watched the 2 part documentary this week 'out of their skins' and had forgotten how different things had been.

I have to say that I was disappointed that not one mention of how instrumental Ron Greenwood had been in the 60s and 70s. In 1968 he signed Clyde Best who played over 180 top flight games. In 1972 some 6 years before WBA played 3 colored players he fielded Clive Charles, Clyde Best and a young Ade Coker in a starting 11 that beat Spurs 2 0 Ade scoring in that game in fact although he only played 11 first team games. He Is still fondly remembered by us Hammers old codgers he went on to have a full career in the USA as did Clive Charles

A lot of mention was made of Viv Anderson as the first black England player but not one mention was made of the England manager that played him in that game. Yes you guessed it Ron Greenwood. When asked why he picked Anderson he said 'I don't care if he's yellow, purple or black if he can play football I'll pick him'

Ron Greenwood was a legend far ahead of his time.

Just watched part of Sean Dyche post match interview and he was talking about doangans pen

Really refreshing to hear an opposing manager say it was a pen but because Grady didn't roll around he was ignored.

Dyche point was that referees need to stop giving pens for artistic effort and give them when they're fouls - it's on You tube if you want to have a look.

20 Oct 2018 19:51:04
Was it just me or does anybody else agree that Martin Atkinsons performance today was a disgrace allowing advantage when we had none a blowing up whenever Spurs had a free kick plus lots of other oddities what was the re tandem goal kick all about.

1.) 20 Oct 2018 21:06:02
Atkinson was awful.

16 Sep 2018 17:56:05
What a result Declan Rice man of the match.

1.) 16 Sep 2018 18:42:28
I agree with you there mercerl Rice was fantastic.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 19:36:16
Stevie and other posters that predicted a win, my hat off to you optimists😄👋 what a prick I look saying we would lose, but what the f—- do I know😂 fantastic performances by everyone, up front Yarmelenke, Arnie, Anderson, great Arnies goal and assist👍 Yarmies 2nd goal super👍Defence were super as well, Noble run his legs off, Rice very accomplished, every other player was great, can’t have any criticisms with such a workmanlike performance, well done lads. Really nervy watching on Sky, now can relax tonight and watch it al again on MOTD😂😂😂⚒⚒⚒⚒.

3.) 16 Sep 2018 22:28:35
Rice and Obiang would have to share MoM for me. They must started v Chelski.

4.) 16 Sep 2018 23:29:28
Likewise was pessimistic and was wrong, a great win. The only thing I do still feel justified about is the defenders aren’t as bad as people think and it always looked to me like it was the midfield not giving them support so they were stretched out of position too often. Today with Rice, Obiang and Noble tracking their players and supporting the defenders we looked better. Wilshire might just be a luxury we can’t afford at the moment.

5.) 16 Sep 2018 23:24:04
Agree with you there Markro. They all earnt their places for the Chelsea game. Bring Jack on for Nobes after 60min maybe. Jack needs to know he isn't an automatic pick until he shows some class and form. Imagine if we had Manu fit! I feel MP is learning what his players can deliver in competitive games, and their weaknesses. Hopefully he can keep putting balanced teams out going forward. Long way to go still, and two tough games coming up.
My only thought may be Frederick's to come in to deal with Hazard's pace? Or can Zaba's experience be enough?

16 Sep 2018 07:47:08
Guys just watched a recording of the BBC show "The Premier league Show" and a throw away comment that mentioned West Ham have now lost more games than any other team in the PL era.

Have to say that this depressed me more than anything else that has been going on.

1.) 16 Sep 2018 10:54:08
mercerl, you’ll be forever being depressed on and off following our lot, I get pissed off and angry for a while not depressed! Many worse things in life mate, look at the Hurricanes and flooding in Carolina and the Philippines, people losing children, families, everything they own, now they have a reason to be depressed☹️ Hope that doesn’t sound like a sermon merc, apologies if it does, don’t like the thought of it getting to you to much! I will be watching it later live, so I hope we see effort and closing down and no short stupid passing in and around our 18 yard box! ⚒⚒⚒⚒COYI.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 11:23:30
PS mercerl, 😂could be worse, you could have been a Man U supporter, they expect their lot to win the league and every game they play and they have the most miserable manager in all the league😰😰😰😖😖😖at least we don’t expect win but are ecstatic when we do, prefer it that way as long as are in Premiership which is looking perilous in the early days!

3.) 16 Sep 2018 11:56:41
You know my old man is a Gooner and wanted me to follow. My mum and uncle took me to the Boleyn aged six and and have been a Hanners fan ever since. Never regretted it and when we do have the occasional win over Arsenal it’s all that much more pleasing. Easy to support the top teams but true joy comes from supporting teams that won’t win each week but when they do 😀.

4.) 16 Sep 2018 12:26:51
Sdl, without a doubt, I honestly believe that👍Think that applies to the top 4 or 6 clubs supporters, they have been bred on success in the past and expect nothing less, bit of a culture shock when they are knocked off their perches😂😂Those that get less in life of everything appreciate things more when they do get them! ⚒⚒⚒.

Thanks for that update Mike I. Really think Rice is the start of another group of youngsters coming through as they did 20 years ago Diangana has proved sometimes you just need to be given the chance really need to tie him down

Any update on the Arnie situation.

Good post Stevie funnily enough in Commiserations Corner after yesterday's game we asked the same question even wondered if we had already seen Arnies last game for us personally I hope not but if a big offer comes and seeing he is out till at least the 10th January it could be a scenario.

Having been Rice's biggest fan for the last 2 years I would hate to lose him can see him being another Michael Carrick and we all know what happened their

If anyone at the club reads this page I think you all should ask yourselves "why haven't we locked down a new contract" come on guys wise up.

Thought that we played really well for 9 men because Anderson might as well have not been on the pitch Leicester lucky to get the deflection otherwise that would have been a. Brilliant 3 points.

Great shout Stevie watched Motd and he seemed at the heart of every move that Newcastle made can see him linkng up with Arnie really well.
