Not sure if anyone else agrees, but the more I watch Snodgrass, the more I'm starting to really like him. nice little assist just now for Martinez.

I honestly think he'll be a very good squad player this season, i'd definitely look to keep hold of him!

1.) 31 Jul 2018 19:35:25
It seems as if MP might agree with you, TK.

2.) 31 Jul 2018 20:52:57
Too slow so can't get past anybody.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 22:24:28
I agree, but he isn't the only player who lacks the pace to take players on, Noble can't either. The key point is whether they can adapt to Pellegrini's one touch football, because if they need too much time on the ball and if their movement off the ball is poor they are going to be a liability. time will tell. There are a few positions, no doubt Pellegrini would like to improve but the finances restict him. I think there will be a few coming and going before the window closes. Hopefully we will see a quality midfielder or two come in and a striker.

4.) 31 Jul 2018 23:02:40
Spot on HAMMERSFAN regarding both devoud of any pace and if you play in midfield you can't be pedestrian. COYI.

5.) 01 Aug 2018 00:20:48
Of course a midfielder can be slow - Pirlo rated as one of the greatest ever and he was very slow! Great player though.
Noble plays fantastic passes as does Snodgrass- Pelle knows his stuff, trust him.

6.) 01 Aug 2018 12:11:11
Pirlo was a free role and a one off noble is great now i know that glen.

7.) 01 Aug 2018 12:11:38
Pirlo wasnt asked to track back.

11 Jul 2018 13:48:35
Welcome Andriy ⚒ - Balbuena next to come!

Hopefully this time next week we will be welcoming Anderson!

I honestly think, if we hold onto Obiang, him and Wilshere will be strong in the centre of the park, and with the new attaching and defensive acquisitions (and goalkeeper) and with effectively a new signing in January (Lanzini) this could be an extremely promising campaign!

Mike and Ed’s. I’ve seen reports that .................

{Ed002's Note - You are on the wrong page - this is the West Ham page and it is nothing to do with WHU.}

29 May 2018 14:25:25
Any news on the rumoured 20 million euro bid for Barcelona's CB Marlon? I think he'd be a great acquisition, he plays out from the back, very similar to Rice and if we're playing a back 3 - Rice, Ogbonna, Marlon would be pretty handy and very mobile.

TKHammer

1.) 29 May 2018 14:51:56
I haven't seen him play but isn't he a couple inches short if we play in a back 4? What does everyone think? Especially if he ends up playing alongside Rice.

Rice 6.1
Marlon 6.0
This could make us weak at set-plays.

2.) 29 May 2018 14:58:46
Dont worry mate he leapd like a salmon.

3.) 29 May 2018 15:13:57
Argeed Noel - also, we need to get this Mario deal over the time, he's still an Inter player after all and if he has a good world cup we could end up paying double for him or losing him all together to another team.

My observations for the night

-Antonio isn't a footballer, his control, awareness and brain are absolutely shocking. Would be lucky to find a championship team who'd want him
-Grady Diangana was my absolute stand out man of the match, I thought he beat his man, had an end product and caused them problems. He also tracked back and dig deep.
-Chicharito can go to any other club who's willing to pay his 140k a week for doing absolute nothing.
-Pérez looked like he wanted in when he came on, so I can't knock him. The same as Snoddy, he was whipping balls in and running his socks off.
-It's now absolutely clear to everyone on the planet that Masuaku can not defend. Ogbonna as well, he seems to have gone backwards within the last 18 months. He shouldn't be anywhere near the 1st team squad.
- Adrian displayed today on the 3rd goal why Fabianski is arguably our best signing this season. 4 yards out and he's not coming to claim it? Absolute diabolical.
-Rice continued to show why he's probably our best player after Arnie at the moment

Drastic changes needed for Saturday - 3 points is an absolute must.

Hiya TKHAMMER I've said this for the past 6 months when he first came I thought great athlete and bigger club than forest we could turn him into a footballer which for a while we did but he's gone mate and must be outed he reminds me of ROUTLEDGE very pacey and no end product he's feet don't interact with his brain when fit SILVA the young Portuguese lad must take his place OGBONNA knows he ain't going to get in the first eleven so is just picking up his wages and basically on holiday mode I'm a massive fan of CHIQUARITO well I was his professionalism is nothing sort of laughable I've never seen a forward flagged offside and he must be taken off the wage bill it's an extremely difficult situation when your a club that doesn't win nothing and squad players who can't get in the starting eleven and ain't picking up medals and trophy's they lack professionalism and think to hell with this I'll just pick up my money and go along for the ride it's happening far too much at West ham but what do you do and we then regarding a CERTAIN ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL we hum and ar over paying him a realistic wage for what undoubtedly he's worth yes I'm talking about a players who's progress since being taken off at half time against Liverpool is remarkable IMO and I for one and I'll hold my hands up said he wasn't a midfielder was totally wrong and he's done that through hard graft and a few of our players need to have a hard look at themselves because it's not right and I'm sorry but if MP cannot see MASUAKU ain't a L/ B then he shouldn't be a manager I actually feel a bit sorry for MASUAKU as he clearly ain't comfortable and I know you shouldn't undermine the manager but someone tell him it ain't his position surely MP has done his homework it ain't good and by a long way. COYI.

2.) 01 Nov 2018 07:18:43
Well said on Rice Worya, contract needs sorting NOW.
ANTONIO creates a lot of chances, but it's all pointless if he can't do anything with them, zero composure. I agree with getting SILVA or HOLLAND in for him, but I'd give PEREZ a go there first. Move Antonio on in jan for any offer we can get.
Worryingly though, he was better than ANDERSON. At least he had an impact and caused problems. Anderson's corners were terrible, and he kept coming short to take free kicks on the half way line when he was playing in the 10 role. He has SO much talent but atm his head is all over the place. Decisions are wrong, positioning is wrong, he just looks like he hasn't settled. We have to give him more time, but in the short term Pelle may need to drop him.
Masuaku poor again for the 2nd, shift him on and maybe get Monreal from Arsenal?
Adrian should have come for the third, but Og could have done better also.
Should Antonio have had a pen at the end?
Once again better than spurs, but they come out winners. Difference was quality in final third. There top quality squad has it, ours (Antonio and Anderson) did not!

3.) 01 Nov 2018 23:25:36
Encouraging that Holland and Silva were arguably ahead of diangana in the current set up. He has really taken his chance well and looks like he's enjoying himself! Antonio had a great chance to put him through but poor touch.

Need Rice to sign asap. Hopefully a few others will break through this season think they are inspired by how well rice is doing and now diangana playing with such confidence.

Few players that have got to be looking at an exit in Jan get them off the wage bill. Ogbonna scared to make a tackle doesn't look bothered looking foward to Pellegrini trimming the squad of the dead wood and bringing in the players we need next window.

4.) 02 Nov 2018 12:11:27
Hi nlckinho imo RICE is a future ENGLAND captain and a definite ENGLAND player for many years on ANDERSON I think he thought it would be easy and he'd stroll through games and his undoubted talent would shine through but it ain't ITALY we are playing in the pace is so much more frantic and pressing and he ain't grasped it yet BALBUENA played in a slow tempo league in BRAZIL and he looked dodgy at first but he's adapted and so should ANDERSON it might take a season like HENRY who reminds me they way ANDERSON is playing because HENRY was the same like a rabbit caught in headlights but he's very talented that's not in question but you can't keep playing him on this form he needs to be taken out for a few games and show he ain't untouchable. COYI.

31 Oct 2018 16:11:36
I'm seeing Chelsea maybe in for Rice. This would be an absolute calamity if it happened. He was at their academy for 7 years.

DGS need to offer him 35-40k and get this boy signed up, at least then if Chelsea do come knocking we can slap a £50+ million price tag on him.

TKHammer

1.) 31 Oct 2018 23:24:56
If we don't tie RICE down to a very large contract and he moves there will be utter carnage and I wouldn't be going to any more games one for my safety and my morals because he's our best player with ARNIE, BALBUENA, DIOP, FABIANSKI.

28 Oct 2018 12:18:18
Morning gents - I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me. Trying to get tickets for the spurs cup game but the website is saying I don't have the correct priviledges even though i received a text from WHUFC saying that I can log onto my account and purchase 4 tickets?

Is there anyone who has 2 spare tickets for sale or has any spare going? It is my Dad's birthday on the Wednesday and want to get him over there?

Thanks.

Was at the Arsenal game tonight with a colleague from work - I tell you what, Ozil made a very average side look fantastic. what a player when he decides to turn up!

Shame about Yarmolenko, wish him a speedy recovery, but all the more reason for Anderson and the other creative boys to step up. The defence is looking fairly solid, so you can't use that as an excuse anymore. Creativity and goal scoring is absolute paramount now!

TKHammer

1.) 23 Oct 2018 11:58:24
Wish we were that average😂😂⚒⚒.

2.) 23 Oct 2018 15:13:15
Hate to say it, but the third goal was fantastic.

06 Oct 2018 10:17:07
After last nights performance - Antonio should be dropped to the u23s and sold in January. He should never wear the shirt again, he'd been on the pitch for 5 minutes and was walking around as if he'd run a marathon.

Bad attitude, no technical ability (which is what our team is now based on) and no work ethic. Get him out.

TKHammer

1.) 06 Oct 2018 12:57:53
His personal problems have overtaken his limited ability. IRONMIKE.

2.) 06 Oct 2018 14:07:30
If this is the case, and he’s not in a mental state to play - then he should be nowhere near the 1st team squad.

3.) 06 Oct 2018 21:14:01
Hi TK I’ve been saying this for a long time regarding ANTONIOS fitness he’s a sprinter not a footballer in terms of fitness and surely they test the players fitness and if they ain’t sticking to diets and regimes they shouldn’t be paid or fined at the very least he’s too muscle bound imo I’ve been slagged off for my views about ANTONIO TK and I’m glad you’ve brought this subject up mate and it ain’t just me when I heard palace were interested I was praying they would pay the £20 million been rumoured as we could have got a decent player with that but for me him and Noble who people know I don’t rate one bit just too slow to play in midfield and he’s been playing ok as a more advanced midfielder but if people can honestly tell me he’s a better player than WILSHIRE then the worlds gone mad but JACKS got to realise when fit he MUST put it all in because abilities never been in question for me personally and play two holders in RICE and OBIANG with WILSHIRE in an attacking midfield role and I quarantee he will thrive in that position. COYI.

4.) 07 Oct 2018 00:43:17
Who actually has slagged you off? I'm on most days s and have never seen this.

5.) 07 Oct 2018 08:57:09
hammerdave, think Whorya is referring to me with. The “slagging off” I would call it strong disagreement on Wilshere and his ability, fitness and workrate! Whorya is very pro Wilshere, whereas I am anti Wilshere and thought it was a complete waste of signing a well known injury prone player, hoping he will get over his injury problems, we have enough long term injuries now without recruiting more! However agree with Whorya on Antonio now, was previously an admirer of him, but would take a reasonable offer in January if it arises?

6.) 07 Oct 2018 10:59:49
I understand with noble - but what you can’t fault with Noble is that bloke is running at 110% intensity and effort for the 90 minutes. Antonio puts in absolutely nothing - he doesn’t graft and it’s infuriates me.

7.) 07 Oct 2018 13:25:37
Interesting debate guys if you look at certain players in particular Antonio and Cresswell they have lost pace after injuries the same could be said of Yarmalenko, I understand he hardly played from January then came straight into the PL so there is a case for thinking he might improve

It's really obvious Arthur can't defend well enough but I think we all agree that he is goodish going forward so how about playing Arthur in front of Creswell maybe coming of the bench and moving Anderson inside

I've been a long time fan of Rice and think he is a must on the team sheet interesting watching John Walters on GOS this morning saying both Hart and James Collins think he was West Hams best player last year.

8.) 08 oct 2018 10:53:46
i thought you’d pipe up dave a man who’s never got an opinion but always comments on other peoples post hiya chelms i wasn’t actually talking about you mate but admire your honesty fellow on thewilshire subject it’s fine for people to have an opinion and yours i don't agree with on wilshire but one thing ido know one of as will be proven right chelms and hand on heart i wasn’t referring to you on antonio but he’s finished as a west ham player mate that we both agree on it’s all about opinions chelms and we both post ours shame others can’t i ain’t on here to gain enemies just voicing my opinion hope your good chelms . coyi.

9.) 08 Oct 2018 17:49:16
Whorya, I like the way you get straight to the point😂😂😂yes i’m good mate, hope you’re ok to? Yeh love a good debate where we can all speak honestly, love Wilshere to prove me wrong where WH can benefit from him and any other player come to that, I am anti Hernandez as well but would be well pleased if we actually saw him run around and do something! Boring bloody. International break now, just hope if any of ours are involved they don’t pick up any bad injury like Lanzini!,

10.) 08 Oct 2018 18:16:54
Everytimee I read this it seems like you think everyone is against you when people just disagree.

Don't think anyone slags people off. they just have different opinions.

Antonio. shame I used to like him just not the same player.

11.) 08 Oct 2018 19:59:14
Hiya CHELMS not bad mate having a few problems with kidney stones at the minute mate reacurring problem mate but nothing compared to what a lot of people are given bad hands mate anyway on to footy mate on CHIQUARITO I was a fan but am starting to change tact on him as I think he could be on the money train like a lot of footballers get a lot put in their bank but give nothing back on the pitch to their respective clubs mate and he’s starting to fall into that category there’s no doubting his fulinishing in the box but his all round play ain’t good enough imo and think him and Antonio need to be moved on mat we will be a lot stronger team when Lanzini Carroll and jacks back I know you don’t like him but let’s not keep going on about it as I know you’d be all for him if he puts it all in and becomes a WHUFC icon we all want what’s good for the club mate that’s for sure it is all about opinions and like my wife I’m always right 😂😂😂lol. COYI.

12.) 08 Oct 2018 21:53:59
Whorya, with your wife, my wife and you, who needs GOOGLE, 😂😂😂 sorry mate, couldn’t resist that, but you did say it😂😂 hope the kidney stones improve🙈🙈.

13.) 10 Oct 2018 09:38:37
Well said mate cheers chelms😤😤😤.

14.) 12 Oct 2018 13:24:47
Yarmolenko really needs to get fitter as he ain't strong enough or quick enough to track back on the right hand side to help out the R/ B either he gets fitter or he just plays a free role which we can't afford luxerys the guys 28 so should be in his prime but he's got the pace and fitness of a 36 year old and I disagree with him beating players down the wing because 90% of the time he cuts back onto his left foot but I'm not sure on him as he was a very good player 2 years ago but surely he can get fitter at 28 because IMO that's all that's lacking is his fitness and he should be close to getting fit as he's been playing for Ukraine also. COYI.

I really hope not - why would we want a washed up 31 year old who’s well past his best, and has just come back from an 18 month drug ban.

We get enough bad press at it is. this would be so toxic to the dressing room and club as a whole, sending out the wrong message.

I agreed with you Warrington - Did anybody else hear Jamie Carragher on talk sport supporting Rice's decision to decline the 12k contract?

Now I bloody hate Carragher but I absolutely agree with him - Home grown players who come through the academy seem to be punished for doing so. If rice was a foreign player who had been signed last season, with the performances he put in last and this season - he'd be on 50k+ easily. Diop is 2 years older than him, unproven in the prem, but I bet he's on 50-60k.

Get him tied down to a 50k contract - he's fit, he's keen, bags of ability and I think he will be our future captain, I have absolutely no doubt about it. Letting him go would be an absolute calamity. D&S Get it down.

Unlucky from noble, probably is a red. but would probably get away with a yellow 70% of the time.
