A very interesting question raised in an article by Antony Martin:
What had happened to Oliver Scarles?
Once quite correctly touted as 'the most talented young player' at the club, Scarles appeared to be well on track as a 16 year old in 2022 to be heading for a breakthrough into the senior squad. Since then . nothing. What has happened? Has he been Moyesed? Another good reason why we need to see the back of this Moyes era as soon as possible. Two months and counting.

Moyes has read the riot act to Edson Alvarez who, single handedly, is apparently costing us our future in Europe? Please somebody explain this to me and how any ONE player can be to blame for the downfall of a football club. Manager? Yes. Owners? Yes. But one single player? Amd if he is, then why is moyes playing him?

Added to the question mark hanging over the head of Scarles and several other talented youth players is the unresolved question of Flynn Downes. Disappointingly, Downes has said that nobody from WHU has discussed his future, despite the important role he’s played for the Saints. One hopes that whoever replaces Moyes will have the common sense to get Downes back to his home club and assess him before any decision is reached on his future. I hope we keep him.

Downes is a better player than set piece merchant jwp.

Sure I seen something about how Moyes was saying we have a very small squad which is his own doing. Isolating players, no rotation rarely using bench. Can't wait to see the back of him.

I'm hoping jwp goes back to Southampton if they come up.

Moyes will be here next season. Somehow, we'll sneak 7th and get "European football" again, albeit the Johnsons Paint Trophy version thanks to Liverpool winning the EFL cup. That'll impress Sully enough to offer him a nice fat 4 year contract and Moyes will sign it.

I totally agree merceri - and against the weak opposition we faced. I’m also with Nick on Claret and Booze. Not only will I be on the open top bus in the street parade when Moyes goes, I’ll be driving it! My home will be covered in bunting.
