It looks like most of our transfer dealings this summer, lots of talk but not a lot delivered.

Whilst I don't necessarily think that Payet is going to leave, there have read a few things on this site, amongst others has made me doubt whether or not he will stay this summer.
1. He has a supposed knock which has prevented him from making any form of appearance since he returned to West Ham from his holiday. The club hasn't really told us anything about it, or when he could return
2. Since his agent publicly said that reports quoting Payet as saying "I am 100% staying" are false, we've heard nothing from either of them
3. We've gone from having no money left for transfers. To suddenly looking to sign a couple of players and none of the players we are looking at are cheap options. Zaza is expected to cost in excess of £20 million, and we are still looking to add further players to the squad
4. The similarities between this Summer with Payet and the Summer Bale moved to Madrid are uncanny. It could just be a coincidence, but at the same time, it could just as likely be that the clock is ticking for Payet' time at West Ham
And when you consider that Real Madrid have been given a transfer ban (which they've appealed against, giving them this summer to make transfers and prepare) approaching. They've only really signed one player this window, Morata. They have sold a few fringe players in Jese and Cherychev but this isn't the type of transfer dealings I've come to expect from Madrid and they do typically sign players on deadline day.
Personally, if Payet wants to leave then I'd rather the club said that it's a possibility that he might leave. But then again, the fact they've been saying he will stay "unless a ridiculous amount of money is offered" hasn't exactly ruled out the possibility of him being sold.
I know Payet was EASILY our best player last season, but if he wants to leave then I'd rather sell him and bring in some others to replace him. Zaza is a start, but if he does go we need to replace Payets creativity and sure up our defence.

I can see what your saying die4 personally I think he will stay, after the euro exit and the lack of creativity we have at the moment to sell him would be stupid, plus we would look a bit silly with all the talk of him staying, the big shirt at the stadium and the fact he can't so much as fart without there being a full page article on our Web page, then there was the statement Bilic made about us not being a selling club anymore, add this to the fact the new guys haven't started out particularly well and there will be a lot of unhappy people, I think with the now signing of zaza it's just because ayew and carroll are injured and we need help in that position the fact that we ave played 6 games and a striker is yet to score aswell may ave swayed that
like I say I don't think he will go and am not worried in the least about it.
