So fellas another transfer window closes, personally i'm well pleased with our squad now byram looks a great prospect and emenike looks like he could be a hit if his head is right

well done to the davids for really backing slaven this year

with the way villa are at the moment i'd expect us to beat them comfatably tommorow then look upward for the rest of the season!

what does everyone think about the squad and our chances?

tweaked the squad where needed i'm happy we need to be consistent now and really push.

Totally agreed. Squad is better than it has been for a lot of years and now we need to start performing to the level we know we can. We've had far too many off days ie at Newcastle recently and the cup match at Liverpool are just two examples where we simply didn't turn up and our defence kept us in games where we've been sleeping.

We're all talking about this guy. that guy in the summer for 20mil+ striker when we need to take a look at what we do have

Sakho - Great player, gives 110% every time he plays. Let's not forget his run of goals last season, He's certainly got an eye for goal.

Valencia - Another great talent, Top finisher when he's fully fit, Pacey with a great heading ability when he gets the chance.

When these 2 guys are fully fit where will the new striker fit in? I know we've got to have back up but Eminike could well hit the ground running and keep Sakho out as he is playing for his chance to play in the best league in the world after all.

It's exciting times at the minute and I think most people would agree our current squad looks better than anything we've seen before with the potential to be playing Champions League football within the next 3 years and I think this is why we have not gone in for Yilmaz yet as our current strikers when on form are simply better than him and give more to the squad.

to be honest I think it would be a massive gamble to spend 20 million on a striker that has only done it for one or 2 seasons, I think there would be better options for us out there and for all valencia and sahkos qualities neither has a really great goal scoring record in the last few years if we spent 20 million on a striker we could definatly get an upgrade of course depending on who we bought.

Hi strappy well my take on it is that we are only 2 signings away from being a top 4 club 1 would be the so called 20+ goal a season striker and another goal scoring wide man . for me Valencia is not a striker who can lead the line on his own, and Sakho is a brilliant grafter who runs the channels and chips in with goals but will never be a 20+ a season striker . if we keep this squad together without selling any of our better players we are going to be a force to reckon with . and get lanzini tied down to a long deal asap for me if the deal is only £8m that could turn out to be the best deal we've ever had ⚒.

So. No more business being done by West Ham. Interestingly enough, our No1 summer target Marseilles striker Michy Batshuayi is in demand by STOKE who have offered Marseille £20m. It therefore seems our NO1 summer target may be going by the wayside now.

i think tore will be our no1 summer target looking at things now phil but you know aswell as I do things can change all the time if we get into europe our targets could change dramatically I still think yilmaz will be a target in the summer also if emenike plays well he will be made permanent.

I have been told by a very reliable source on the Brentwood Gazette, that Pep Guardiola will NOT be joining Man C but instead will be Bilic number 2 in the Olympic Stadium. My source who I can not name as also confirmed Daniel Sturridge is on his way down to London now on his Bike so as he can prove to WH he is fit

lol warrington totally belieavably except we all known sturridge isn't fit enough to ride a bike hahaha

having said that it wouldn't actually suprise me if we had put a cheeky loan bid in for sturridge considering the fact that klopp has said he wouldn't play him until he trains for 10 days in a row.

And of course, Sturridge thinks that KLOPP Is treating him unfairly. As such, KLOPP doesn't have a lot of time for STURRIDGE so maybe not as daft as it sounds.
