Mike can you clarify the Arnie link to Roma on these websites seems all silly talk to me but they keep popping up.

It’s worrying how many outlets are reporting it but it can’t be true. Makes no logical sense, just makes a good story.

Looking at the latest posts from mike and others it looks like we are after a DM, a winger and then possibly a LB. Can’t be anymore after that surely! Amazing window so far. Not sure we need a LB, think creswell will do well next year and Masuaku will flourish under MP.

The way the Arnautovic rumours seem to be gathering momentum leads me to think that we are ready to offload him in order to recoup a chunk of our recent splash out on our unprecedented spending? I cannot see it any other way, from his second half performance of the season last year, there is no way he couldn’t have attracted interest and I menti9ned this at the end of th season! He is 29,so he must see it as his last big pay day with a transfer, the board will see it as good business to help balance the books! They have placated the supporters. With all the some so called “marquee” signings to soften the blow, a very shrewed move by them if it turns out that Arnie moves on! More importantly I see nobody is coming out to dispel the rumours, Nor does it seem Arnie is prepared to deny deny it with a comment, so he is bound for for the rainy climate of Manchester I fear or maybe a sunnier destination? I just hope my theory is wrong, I think in the short time he has been here, he has been quite fantasticly exciting to watch when moved in a central position, terrifying the defences, please Arnie don’t go, but this all but wrapped up and his destination is already pencilled in but in an envelope marked “ top secret”, I just hope i’m not on here at the close of the window saying, well I did predict this,!

Agree Chelmsford, clearly he is after a big move (possibly to a Champs League club) and can't blame him.
If he does go, we will be able to reinvest in a top striker.

Chelms, it would very strange from my point of view if the board would be willing to sell Arnie to recoup cash, it would be like buying all the extras on a brand new car but throw away the decent engine.

It could be he may be wanting a move if a big club comes in as you say he is 29, or that MP may not think there would be room for him with his system and attacking players coming in may feel a more direct number 9 so to speak is required.

Mike said no link but soppy talk, but as you said there is quite a lot of media on this, it could be they are all as usual being lazy and copying one made up story and regurgitating previous stories to make a big story

I hope he does not go as we all do, BUT if MP decides he can go that would be good enough for me, he knows what his doing and I have complete trust in his choices, and well done the board for backing him.

Its not so long ago as Mike reported there was a contract on the table for DM . how lucky are we the board changed their minds, not in a million years would we have this with Moyes choice of players.

I agree that An was a wonderful signing for us but i'm sure that MP has his scouts out already.
An as stated is 29 and had a great 3 months with WH which added to his worth it sounds good to me if we get 40+ mil for him as i'm sure MP will not let him go until he has someone in mind.
I do not want him to go but sometimes its all part of the bigger picture which we will see within the next 2 months.
Atleast we ar going forward and our new signings has a good feel factor which has been missing since Payet caused so many problem to our club.

I would be amazed if they let Arnie go, after all the transfers so far the board are actually getting the fans unified and behind them. To then sell your best player from last year would be completely counter-productive. To even entertain selling your best player on a long contract the asking fee should be far far higher than £40m.

Agreed on both arp snd wh4 but if Man U pushed it and he wants to go i think MP would show him the door. He was the big fish in a little pond 2nd half season which suits his ego, will he perform now he may not be center of attention with all the new players I like to think so but at 29 and a chance to play for man u cpuld u blame him? , Where does this leave Rasford? He needs to move away from Man U under Jose, give em Arnie and £20m and do a swap I say the only reason Jose wants him to stay is because of the fans backlash if he was sold, Jose is a journeyman manager and has no time for developing hence reason saying jump in with a swap while we have someone they want.

I knew we had something up our sleeve regarding ARNAUTOVIC as to recouping some money back would rather sell kouyate noble and antonio whos worth 25 mill in todays market so them three will recoup 27 mill lol.
