Rumours on twittter are that Cardoso has passed his medical/ ready to be announced.
Ascacibar 22 year old DM is heavily rumoured as well as Ajeti a swiss striker who has a 1/ 2 goal rate.
All are young and hungry. There has been a suggestion amongst twitter/ agents accounts that the 'we have no money left' line is a little bit of a smokescreen too. Exciting times ahead?

I really hope so!

2.) 06 Aug 2019 17:57:38
Don't wait up.

3.) 06 Aug 2019 22:04:58
Haha, Gold has been joking all day on twitter the same.

4.) 07 Aug 2019 14:09:10
Ascacibar not looking likely according to twitter, shame as we could do with a spare CDM (not Sanchez)

5.) 07 Aug 2019 22:59:18
It doesn't suprised me when another £10 mill is suddenly made available.

Trevor Sinclair has said there is a rumour Payet is on strike trying to force a move to West Ham!
I doubt its true btw, just thought it was interesting.

Glen1540

1.) 27 Jun 2019 11:14:54
Hahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha.

2.) 27 Jun 2019 12:13:12
We Need a striker haha.

{Ed002's Note - Firstly, I cannot believe that anyone would be fooled in to thinking a player is on strike whilst on holiday during the close season.

As for strikers, West Ham are trying to get something done and press for Maxi Gomez which could easily spark a whole sequence of moves Taylor-Crossdale has already joined Hoffenheim allowing Joelinton > Newcastle allowing > Dwight Gayle > Fulham which will see > Aleksandar Mitrovic > Real Betis facilitating > Loren Morgan to Celta Vigo and Maxi Gomez > West Ham type thing.}

3.) 27 Jun 2019 16:55:12
the domino effect. let's hope we can get something done.

4.) 27 Jun 2019 19:01:07
There is a lot of business seemingly waiting for the starters orders ed, is the internationals competitions putting a lot of it on hold? ( not talking west ham in particular just generally)

{Ed002's Note - It is not putting off discussions but players are away playing and others are on vacation.}

5.) 27 Jun 2019 20:57:30
Are u aware if there's anything in the payet to WH rumours? And do you know if Gomez fancy WH at all?

{Ed002's Note - There has been no discussion with Marseille about Payet. Gomez wants CL preferably.}

6.) 27 Jun 2019 22:58:05
Cheers, ed!

7.) 28 Jun 2019 03:56:19
Ed oo2 it was a joke about we need a striker.

{Ed002's Note - What?}

8.) 28 Jun 2019 05:05:53
Fantastic insight as always ED002.
Sorry for posting rubbish, great info about Gomez - any idea if any champs league teams would be interested?

{Ed002's Note - I think Barcelona have stepped back completely, Valencia have been showing and interest as have Spurs.}

13 Jun 2019 14:23:32
Been a few rumours on twitter re: Balotelli.
As he is available on a free, I would be tempted to take him, anyone else?

Glen1540

1.) 13 Jun 2019 16:08:15
Glen, too disruptive for me👎.

2.) 13 Jun 2019 18:31:39
Sort of player that would become a cult hero, better than anything we have, has worked with Pellegrini before I'd give him a go to be honest.

3.) 13 Jun 2019 19:44:31
Anything in this one, ed?

{Ed002's Note - No - he is working on best options in Italy, not England.}

4.) 13 Jun 2019 20:05:08
I’m in two minds. There’s no doubting his ability and on a free, it sounds almost too good to miss, but he is a nutcase and has a history with Arnie of being the Chuckle Brothers.

It could be an MP master stroke, but it could go t*ts up.

5.) 14 Jun 2019 07:15:02
Been re-thinking the Balotelli rumour after looking at poster comments and now have changed my mind🤣 As Marko says could actually be a master stroke by P and H👍Wow! What a draw he would be to the ⚒⚒ fans, he could get us really buzzing or we could end up with 10 men quite often😂 but yeh really think we should go for him now if possible as long as he has no dodgy injury history, would get tongues wagging here that’s for sure and put bums on seats which the 2 Daves will love£££👍 also he could fuel Arnie into actually getting involved more as Arnie thinks he’s the natural number 1 up front and might not want to be outdone!

6.) 14 Jun 2019 09:45:50
I would love it but posters are spot on, has a bit of an attitude problem.
Thats a shame eds, would really like him at WH (although, didn't he and Arnie have problems at Milan? )

{Ed002's Note - He had lots of problems at Milan but I don't recall specifics.}

7.) 14 Jun 2019 21:57:09
41 league goals in 76 games over the past 3 seasons and that includes him having his obligatory hissy fit during one of them. Available on a free? Complete no brainer, instantly becomes the best CF the club's had for years and he's still only 28. Pros outweigh the cons in my eyes.

12 Jun 2019 14:59:13
West Ham sites are saying deal done for Fornals btw.
Sources seem disparate in the transfer fee, anywhere from 24mE to 30m£.

Glen1540

1.) 12 Jun 2019 22:44:40
If true then surely Lanzini will head out?

2.) 13 Jun 2019 10:15:02
Someone disagreed - so do they/ you think if Fornals comes in Lanzini won’t be on the way out? I asked as a question as interested in views but just disagreeing doesn’t help. I can’t see how Fornals and Lanzini play in the same side and rumours suggest Lanzini wants out so interested in views.

3.) 13 Jun 2019 10:47:43
I think fornals will play in a deeper position.

4.) 13 Jun 2019 11:20:35
Both are skilful dribblers with an eye for the killer pass. Fornals crossing seems top class from the clips I’ve seen and he is two footed.

I could certainly see Anderson, Lanzini and Fornals as both wingers and a 10 in any combination.

The other important point is that MP is building a squad, not just a 1st XI.

5.) 13 Jun 2019 11:41:43
Personally, I think playing Fornals deeper would be a waste of his talents.

I'd like to see us play 4-2-3-1 with Anderson, Fornals and Antonio being the 3.

Rotate in Lanzini and Yarmolenko when their both fit as well and I think we've got a solid pick of players to choose from.

6.) 13 Jun 2019 12:43:50
I'd like to think Fornals is more of a replacement for Noble in the long run than Lanzini

Sitting slightly deeper and upping the tempo with the transition from defence to attack with Lanzini sitting behind Arnie

Just my thoughts.

7.) 13 Jun 2019 13:18:00
Its about being able to rotate the team and coiver for injuries fornals and lanzuni won't be in the same starting team one will be on the bench coyis.

8.) 13 Jun 2019 14:22:46
Fornals is a bit like Wilshere, attack minded with a good pass. Reckon Pellegrini will play with what he has but try and keep Wilshere/ Rice/ Fonrals as a Midfield with Wilshere/ Fornals taking turns attacking.

9.) 13 Jun 2019 15:56:03
Formation we played the most last season according to whoscored and I'd probably agree is 4141. So Rice sitting in front of the back four with snodgrass and Noble infront of him. Maybe Pellegrini is wanting to upgrade those two men just ahead of rice one more defensively capable and one more attacking to alternate with what we have.

That would give us a very strong midfield and would explain why we have been linked with so many in the centre.

10.) 14 Jun 2019 09:46:52
Forgot we had Snoddy! Maybe he is the one going to leave?

12 Jun 2019 13:05:13
Being reported in Spanish press that Pablo Fornals has already signed/ / nearly signed.
If, and its a *big* if, this is true - this is a massive statement of intent. The lad was valued at 27.5m by transfermarkt only 6 months ago and is quite highly rated within Spain for what is a bit of a naff Villarreal team.
Even if we were to get him for 30m it is actually a bit of a coup.

Glen1540

1.) 12 Jun 2019 14:42:27
Glen, as I said before in a previous post we had a possibility of a heads start as Pellegrini and Husillos knew him from their Malaga days, so very believable and hopefully true👍.

2.) 12 Jun 2019 14:56:24
Cheers Chelms. Do you actually live in chelmsford by the way? Am up towards the Walthams, drink in the Compasses at Littley Green ;-)
Must say, it is a lot quieter with Husillos at the helm, annoying for a rumours site but good for getting a decent deal I think.

3.) 12 Jun 2019 16:43:22
assuming this is true then we have got a great deal there. keeping my fingers crossed. COYI.

4.) 12 Jun 2019 17:12:14
Glen1540, yes mate I do, am in the Gt Baddow/ Galleywood area, you are further out than me, moved here in 2007 from Dagenham👍 Nice places around there although we eat out mainly around our area, but looked up the Compasses and gets a very good rating for food👍Prefer to hear when we get our business completed rather than let other clubs know who we are after, then starts an auction!

5.) 12 Jun 2019 22:12:11
Let’s hope he doesn’t turn out to be Payet Mk 2. We already have Arnautovic with a questionable attitude, so don’t need more.

6.) 13 Jun 2019 07:23:01
NH19, we seem to have had bought several players with very questionable attitudes in the past, so tends to make us wary of some new signings, it obviously happens elsewhere, but we aren’t interested in them😂Arnie, should have been sold in the January window for £30m straight away to China, he still does very little in a whole game! We need another front man that roughs the opposition up and can score goals, so it’s up to whose is available and wants to come to us, I would prefer an already established Premiership player personally or at least home grown if possible👍⚒⚒⚒.

Looks like we are buying a young Portuguese centre back. All over twitter but have no proof etc. Ed's. Any idea if 1) it is real 2) if it is the 18 year old who did well at the u21 championship?

Glen1540

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea, sorry.}

1.) 05 Aug 2019 14:45:53
Adrian to Liverpool, good luck to him, was very loyal with us, suppose there’s more prestige being Liverpool’s number 2 than ours, but how much playing time will he get more than with us? I wonder if enough effort was made to retain his services. Roberto’s Not had glowing reports in pre season games has he? The wage difference on 2 Keepers can’t be much savings on Adrian’s to warrant letting him leave? Disappointed at that, if he had returned to Spain, fine, but he was a free agent so good luck to him, hope it doesn’t come back to bite us should Fab get injured? ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 15:31:34
Totally agree Chelmsford if he scores a Pen for Liverpool against Everton he'll become an instant Legend p.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 18:24:52
Mercerl, 🤣😂great yes well remembered they’d make him an Honorary Scouser and add him to the Beatles Statue🤣😂👍👍⚒⚒⚒.

{Ed001's Note - if he did that I would even let him date my daughter now she is 18.}

4.) 06 Aug 2019 05:17:09
Lol Ed001 I hope your daughter doesn't read these forums.

{Ed001's Note - no mate, she is 18, her dad's work is not cool like it was when she was 8! They grow out of thinking everything you do is great sadly.}

24 Jul 2019 08:29:08
So with Chicha reportedly wanting an exit this summer I am a little lost as to who will replace him?
Hugill looks on his way out too so will be left with:
Haller, Antonio (as Back up) and Xande Silva (once he is better and returned to fitness) .
Anyone (including eds) have any idea what the plan is? Are there a couple of loan deals or a cheap buy we are looking at?

Glen1540

1.) 24 Jul 2019 09:32:21
There was always the possibility of a complete front man clear out: Carroll, Perez, Hugill and Hernandez and I think most of us on here weren’t averse to the idea.

However, if Hernandez leaves now for approx half of what we paid for him, given that we don’t appear to have much in the pot, I can’t see us spending big for a plan B striker.

MP rarely uses two front men and it must be a given that, if fit, Haller will play, but it would be foolish not to have a decent back up CF. We are now packed with attacking midfielders to support Haller, so any incoming striker will know that, failing injury, the bench is where they’ll start.

It has been stated that Hernandez wants to leave because of lack of playing time, so who will come to us to fill his squad place?

Interesting times.

2.) 25 Jul 2019 11:12:09
Great they have all gone or are going . Hernandez’s strike rate has fallen, he isn’t a starting striker and is getting past it. Hugill was a pathetic purchase even for us . Carroll always injured and very one dimensional, Perez why on earth did we buy him? He was crap at the Arse why did we think he would begin scoring at our place? Even the greedy Austrian could never be called prolific despite his talent when he decided to try. In clearing out the whole bunch we are losing 20 goals? Hardly going to miss them .
If Haller is half as good as we believe he will cover that bunches returns easily .
We still have Antonio
I guess that Anderson will play in the forward line too .
Then there’s the midfield which should weigh in .
But
There’s a Colombian at Rangers who we should buy
Unlike most strikers playing for us of late he knows where the back of the net is, has no injury problems and should come relatively cheap ( compared to £10M for Hugill Haller was cheap!, ) .
I know he plays in a pub league but some decent strikers have come from there, and it’s not like he is getting 9 or 10 a season .
Ok he is a nutter, but we love a nutter . And certainly Costa ( Chelsea one ) was as bad but in reality was lauded for his aggression and winding up of opposition defenders .

3.) 25 Jul 2019 17:41:02
I’d take Morales and send Diangana the other way.

03 May 2019 09:31:44
Thought I would ask which youngsters people would like to see in first team action next year. This is just a follow up from Ajax beating Spurs, have had an academy grad in their first team for over 20 years and think we should follow suit, so here are my picks:
We have Rice but think the following should be given a chance next year:
Xander Silva
Nathan Holland
Ben Johnson
Conor Coventry
Ajibola Alese.

Glen1540

1.) 03 May 2019 11:37:44
Morning Glen would add to those Josh Cullen and Marcus. Brown as well as Grady Diangana getting a bit more involved and I also think with Adrian likely to go then Nathan Trott could be number 2

Of all of them I was very impressed with Ben Johnson to get your debut against Man City and not be overawed was v impressove.

2.) 03 May 2019 16:14:02
Holland is the one I'm excited to see quick good feet a proper player, don't get the hype around Cullen nice tidy player but don't think he got enough about it to be premier league quality hope I'm wrong.

3.) 03 May 2019 20:53:56
A real good question and a difficult one I’ve not seen enough of the youngsters Ben Johnson had a great game against but a poor 2 game returning from injury. mp has proven he ready to give youngsters a start if they have they proven themselves . you can’t rely on the youngsters but you can start introducing them to playing with the1st team with over playing them. i like to see Silva making the bench Carroll definitely gone Peres will go Chico providing meets his wage demands will go I’d like mitrovic woods Silva and Arnautovic up front and sometimes push Anderson into his favorite no 10 role.

4.) 03 May 2019 21:33:21
Agree with much of the above.

I’d like to see Trott promoted to no.2 after Fabulouski; Holland and Silva given more first team chances. I haven’t seen enough of Coventry, but would like to see Johnson as reserve full back on either side.

My feeling about Diangana is that he still has a lot to learn. Lots of fizz, almost no end product - he needs to be loaned out to learn more basics.

Marcus Browne is a real talent and needs to be in the first team squad. He has been consistently good wherever and whenever he has played.

5.) 04 May 2019 09:25:06
Agree Makro - Diangana has potential but chucking him in the first team once in a blue moon is not good enough.

18 Apr 2019 10:26:43
Score predictions v Leicester? Going for a 2-1 win with another Chicha 'header'

Glen1540

1.) 18 Apr 2019 10:49:20
All depends which West Ham side turns up!

I'd like to go with 2-1 as well. Hopefully Felipe Anderson keeps up the form he showed at united, and maybe the linesman/ ref will get the decisions right this time!

2.) 18 Apr 2019 12:25:17
Good positive predictions lads, but Leicester are no pushover on their day but neither are we! As TK says depending on what WH team turn up? I have a soft spot for Leicester as I had £20 on them to win the Premiership title in 2015/ 16 at 110/ 1😂 I placed the bet in November as they were so exciting to watch from the start, I won £2200👍 Had I placed the bet a month earlier they were 750/ 1, so could have won £15000😳 All the pundits were saying they won’t keep it going but I thought they were by far the most exciting team to watch that season, Jamie Vardy was amazing that season, the best in the Premiership terrorising opponents with his pace and finishing! So yes we can win, but so can Leicester!

3.) 18 Apr 2019 20:22:27
I think it will be a low scoring game, so I'm going for a 4-2 West Ham win.

4.) 19 Apr 2019 07:24:08
Stevie, low scoring 4-2🤣 I don’t like predictions involving us, we’re so unpredictable, so I just have hopes of winning against certain teams, this could be a winnable game, but good side Leicester and of course always got Schmichael
still to get past! Just hope Arnautovic isn’t playing, we play so much better without that lazy, sulking man! COYI⚒⚒⚒.

5.) 19 Apr 2019 23:14:40
CHIQUARITO is extremley doubtful.

6.) 20 Apr 2019 14:51:06
Fancy 3-1.

12 Apr 2019 12:11:50
Ok, so say we can get 75m through player sales.
Who would everyone like to come next year?
I imagine positions to be filled are:
LB, MC (dependent on Wilshere) and SC (possibly x2)
Bit of Friday fun but try to be realistic :-)

Glen1540

1.) 12 Apr 2019 13:10:57
I'd say we would need a RB aswell if Zaba goes mate.

2.) 12 Apr 2019 20:08:50
ST ST/ winger
CM
RB LB CB.

I'd say this is probably the minimum we need over the next few windows.

All our strikers look pretty uncertain if they will actually be here next season. You could take your pick of any the strikers we have been linked to anyone of them on paper will be more useful to the squad than what we currently have particularly Carroll and Perez.

Personally I think the players we want rid of won't bring that much in. So I think the whole 25m to spend plus sales is boll*cks as that won't get us much at all.

One of the less known strikers we have been linked with I think looks quite impressive is 21 year old Christian kouame he can play LW and striker. Looks very quick tall and strong he's also looks very skillful and creative could be an absolute gem which is what we need as the funds aren't there to spend big in each position.

As for midfielders the one i'd love us to go for would be Ibrahim Sangare check him out look at his stats, he's been linked to Everton as a direct replacement for gueye but I think he will be an upgrade, many bigger clubs are now looking at him if various internet sources are to be believed.

3.) 12 Apr 2019 20:51:29
Loftus Cheek and Giroud would be my buys.

4.) 12 Apr 2019 22:51:19
Loftus cheek wants to stay at Chelsea. I don't think he's a viable option now it seems he is getting more game time also.

Giroud is old but top scorer in Europa league he's probably happy where he is.

I'm hoping for an emergence of CB Alese and RB Johnson be good to see if they can provide cover and eventually break into first team would certainly save us money It would make sense for them to be given a chance before seasons end. Then we can concentrate on the other areas I think we are desperate for a quality CM to replace Noble and partner Rice.

We should stop patching up our squad with older players on high wages and look to youth with actual sell on value and potential.

We need to look closer to home and try sign a quality home grown player. Che Adams would be a good shout but not cheap, Shelvey springs to mind also I know he's had some stick but on his day he's quality pings passes and not afraid to get stuck in, fingers have been pointed at his attitude I'm unsure on exactly why he has this reputation he's been loved by the Geordies and surely if their was any issues that would be ironed out by the fact he's west ham.

5.) 13 Apr 2019 08:01:05
who are we selling to raise 75mill?
just so i no who needs replacing.

but for a start
chris wood-st
che adams-st
angelino-lb
all 3 would increase our home grown quota

followed by a midfielder out of
arne maier
exequiel palacios
nahiten nandez
james ward prowse.

6.) 13 Apr 2019 16:27:46
I think the 75m comes from selling, Adrian, Masuaku, Obiang, Snodgrass, Perez, Hernandez and Arnautovic without selling the latter I think the rest could bring in 20-30m.

I'd rather any of the following over Chris woods- Gomez, Mitrovic, kramaric, Wesley Moares. Woods is good for Burnley but I don't think he would fit Pellegrinis style of play.

Angelino of PSV may be a good shout at LB and their RB Dumfries certainly has the physical attributes for the premier league.

It would be smart for us to splash out on a quality full back can't remember the last time we did. They are so important in the modern game its a shame masuaku makes so many mistakes and positional sense always looks terrible as going foward he's very good if his delivery was better might justify him making mistakes here and there.

The midfielders you mention all look very young with good potential but already look on the radar of bigger clubs. So may be out of our reach.

One things for sure pellegrini and everyone involved in transfers who ever that is at West ham has their work cut out for them. If business carrys on like it has in the past under the Dave's then we will yo yo around mid table occasionally competing for 7th and flirting with relegation. We do have big potential though if we can sort out the way we do business and hold on to players like Rice if and when they come from our academy.

7.) 13 Apr 2019 19:37:07
woods is a similar type of player to mitrovic and gomez just much cheaper and has a bit more pace imo.
strong enough to hold the ball up, great in the air and can run the channels-something mitrovic and gomez lack the pace to do.
id suggest the list you offered shouldn't include arnie
we start of with 25mill (as rumoured)
chico-10mill
mass and obiang 10milish each
snoddy, adrian and perez 5millish each
already gets us to 70mill
chuck in fernandes 7mill, byram 5mill and oxford 8mill
could get us to 90mill without losing arnie

90mill i'm going with
woods 25mill
che adams 17.5mill (what birmingham wanted in jan)
angelino say 20mill
leaves just over 25mill for midfielders
id look at the championship see if we could do deals there for some young up and coming players aswell using diangana and hugill as makeweights.

{Ed002's Note - And what about all of the other costs associated with the transfers?}

8.) 13 Apr 2019 20:17:07
Gomez and mitro are better at linking the play and better at finishing also younger. Woods yes is very good in the air as for pace I can't say non of them are known for it, either way very little in it.

I forgot about byram, fernades, Hugill. It's best not to get into prices too much as ed points out it's not as straight foward as it may seem. Payments are in instalments then there's agent fees buying and selling, player fees and probably loads of other things I don't have knowledge of. I'd imagine we will have to pay out just trying to find some of those players a new club no one is hardly chomping at the bit to get them.

Masuaku did well tonight, cresswell hasn't covered himself in glory recent seasons either. It's a tough decision to make and I'm glad I'm not making it maybe Pellegrini will stick with what he has there who knows? I'd certainly like to know what positions we have prioritised.

To be honest Chelms, not a lot going on. Even twitter is almost silent about us these days.
Personally think the main focus will be on player sales and feel most of us will find that quite boring?
Rumours I have seen on outs (From back to front)
GK - Adrian (Trott deemed worthy of 1st team)
LB - Masuaku
RB - Zabaleta, Byram (loan)
CB - Oxford, Ogbonna
MC - Obiang
LW/ RW - No one yet
SC - Perez, Carroll, Arnautovic
A few youngsters to be released as well.

ED002 gave a decent snapshot of players we are interested in/ have no hope/ likely a week or so ago and he is generally on the money.
Can start twitter roundup again if Mike doesn't return but frankly most is rubbish.

{Ed002's Note - I think a lot of effort needs to be made to hang on to Declan Rice.}

Last night reminded me of the Gerrard FA cup final, played well against a better team but one player made the difference.
