Anyone know when the legal case is regarding increasing seating capacity?

Glen1540

1.) 17 Aug 2018 14:15:48
It wa# going to be soon, but it’s now looking like October. IRONMIKE.

2.) 18 Aug 2018 17:13:19
Dear oh dear seems like last year all over again defence non existant gona be a long season all.

3.) 18 Aug 2018 17:42:48
Even when we were winning our defence looked dodgy
6 goals conceded in 2 games and not scored
from open play
We were so slow in midfield it got embarrassing
It all seemed so positive even snodgrass
seemed half decent with his corners
Noble and Wilshere looked dead on there
feet after 55 mins
3 defenders around Wilson and he strolled
through them far too easy.

4.) 19 Aug 2018 08:46:53
Hi guys

Not good yesterday, we have got to get Noble out of the team. He has not been good for a couple of years now and as much as he is West Ham we can not afford to be sentimental!
I thought Balbuena would be a bargain but but so far he looks slow and off the pace, why are we not using Diop?
Here is my team for Arsenal:

Fabianski
Cresswell
Fredericks
Ogbonna
Rice
Oxford (sitting in front of back four)
Wilshere
Obiang
Arnoutavich
Anderson
Hernandez/ Antonio

Let’s start using Oxford, let’s us see what he can do and let him progress. Tired of hearing his potential.
Tough few games coming up and if we keep defending high we are going to get slaughtered, need to get points on the board sharpish otherwise it is going to be a long season.
COYI.

5.) 19 Aug 2018 13:02:16
Like your line up Bobby but not so sure about Oxford what I saw of Sanchez yesterday for the short time he was on the pitch looks good and he was moving forward all the time reminded me of a bit like Alex Song in his first season for us.

Although Fabianski made some good saves thought he could have done better for the Wilson goal the ball went through his legs I've always liked Adrian and can't see much difference between him and Fabs. Wouldn't be surprised if a Spanish side came in for him before the end of the Window.

6.) 19 Aug 2018 14:13:58
Cannot continue with noble and Wilshere in same team, we need legs in the middle of the park. We will continue to get overrun in the middle and leave the defence exposed, rice does not have enough pace to break up play and his better position will be centre half, I would like to see Diop and Rice as our preferred option in next few months. I like Pellegrini but I am fearful that we will continue to leak goals playing high up.
COYI.

7.) 19 Aug 2018 16:00:47
I feel we need to sort out defence and centre
midfield as a priority and go back to basics
Fabianski

Cresswell and zabaleta as fullbacks
Then 2 from ogbonna Diop and Balbuena
and possibly all 3 but think Pellegrini will want to
only play 2 of them
Sanchez as holding midfielder wif Wilshere
Then arnie on left, Yarmolenko on right
and Anderson playing the 10 behind Pérez.

8.) 19 Aug 2018 16:00:56
I agree Bobby. Our midfield was far too stretched, I think we need obiang in there with Wilshire and one other. I don't think the players we have in that position are fit and agile enough to play as a 2. We need to sacrifice an attacking player to give us that extra body in the middle of the park. I think obiang with rice and let Wilshire be the one with a little more freedom to support the front 3, otherwise the way we expose our defence is going to see us get battered every week. pretty much like last year.

9.) 20 Aug 2018 11:41:50
cheers Mike, hope it goes well -.

10.) 21 Aug 2018 00:51:07
Hiya Bobby your surname wouldn't be Cole would it if so I know you?

11.) 21 Aug 2018 18:15:10
Hi Bobby couldn’t help but notice that you say ‘why aren’t we playing diop’ then don’t include in your starting XI!

12.) 22 Aug 2018 19:18:12
Simply because I think Rice and Ogbonna paired up well toward the end of last season, at this time we need to shore up as much as we can.
I would like to see Diop come in but just get a few points on the board and gain confidence.

13.) 25 Aug 2018 21:45:03
Not the result but what a massive improvement especially ANDERSON and our midfield without NOBLE exactly what I've said for the past three seasons he ain't good enough and thank you mark but that for me is your last start injury aside for west ham when will MP get that MASAUKU can't defend I actually feel sorry for him surely someone will tell MP Masuaku was converted into a left mid I understand CRESSWELL ain't fit but OGBONNA would do a better job there than MASUAKU but for me we caused arsenal as many problems as we have every done in previous seasons. COYI.

{Ed0333's Note - I think Anderson is an astute buy for you guys. I like Yarmalenko also, I think when he gets match fit he’ll become a crowd favorite.

14.) 26 Aug 2018 16:31:35
Totally agree Ed spot on as normal mate.

{Ed0333's Note - why thankyou my good man. I think it was always gonna be a big ask with so many new players and having them fuse immediately. If you get two gems from those brought in I’m sure you’d take that. I’m sure your aware it’s gonna be long season and one which I’m not sure your manager will survive.

15.) 31 Aug 2018 17:01:45
Cheers ed exactly my thoughts mate.

{Ed0333's Note - I think you need a young, hungry manager with a 3-5 year blueprint. I’m really not sure how throwing money at Pellegrini who clearly is not gonna be the there long term and giving him a sizable war chest is going to be positive. Your owners are an absolute joke and have no idea about football. Conversely I would have made Rafa Benitez a financial offer he could not have refused with 3 year contract and he would have got you challenging for European places. In order for your club to evolve you need those two morons to step aside.

26 Jul 2018 18:31:24
Any interest in Ballotelli Mike? He is still available and free other than agents fees/ wages.

Glen1540

{Ed002's Note - Why would Balotelli be free to WHU?}

1.) 26 Jul 2018 19:10:26
he signed a one year extension with Nice but prior to that he was a free agent. ended up in a spot of bother in true balotelli form, because he skipped training as he was that certain of a move to marseille which didn't materialise and is now training alone. so may be available but not free.

{Ed002's Note - The contract was signed more than a year ago - he is training alone because there has been a bunch of grief - he is not moving to West Ham.}

2.) 26 Jul 2018 19:21:34
my mistake i read it was a recent extension. don't believe everything you read on the internet.

3.) 26 Jul 2018 20:22:35
Even if was available, Why would MP be interested? Way too much baggage.

4.) 26 Jul 2018 21:09:52
You're right Jason he has but it wasn't so long ago we signed another hot headed Italian with baggage and look how he turned out! Didn't MP manage Balotelli at City?

5.) 26 Jul 2018 21:19:35
Sorry fellas good debate but I concur not for me IRONMIKE.

6.) 26 Jul 2018 22:46:01
Fair enough. Cheers for the info.
Any rumours regarding a striker?

7.) 26 Jul 2018 23:06:05
It’s going to be the Paraguayan angel Romero, this is a gamble but a cheap one expect him to roll up next week IRONMIKE.

25 May 2018 09:06:46
Hey IronMike, any chance of a punt on Balotelli? I still rate him and more importantly for the Davids, is a free transfer.

Glen1540

1.) 25 May 2018 11:09:56
Glen, great shout, I also rate Balotelli and he's been on fire at Nice. Bit of a live wire though!

2.) 25 May 2018 12:22:31
Good god. and i see some fans want Song back! we need to move on from these used to be players. we need young hungry pacy players who want success! we have enough old or injury prone players in the squad on silly money which for me need to move on or play a bit part from now! the squad has gone stale! new blood needed, proper shake up!

3.) 25 May 2018 12:37:06
Costa, Balotelli seems to have matured and scored 23 goals last season for a mid table Nice team.

4.) 25 May 2018 12:59:02
Risky business is BALOTELLI IRONMIKE.

5.) 25 May 2018 13:04:08
Nice weren't mid table they were right up there for a long period decent players in their squad with seri etc.

6.) 25 May 2018 13:45:34
Arnie was risky business and look how he turned out . As Glen said he’s free and there’s no doubting his talent . look what happened the last time we had a hot headed Italian cenre forward!

7.) 26 May 2018 22:37:14
Hiya Costa hammer spot on mate we shouldn't go anywhere near song or BALLOTELLI as he's a marked man in England meaning every fer would be on his back not justified in my opinion the guys a great goalscorer and it was him that beat ENGLAND in our last big tournament scoring the winner back post header I'd rather stay away but he's talenTed but when things go right for him. COYI.

30 Apr 2018 12:27:47
Any news on Moyes being given more time to ruin us?

Glen1540

1.) 30 Apr 2018 13:31:00
Not holding my breath but if we think about it he is well suited cause he is clueless as well as the board.

2.) 01 May 2018 07:25:29
Some fans are never happy. Moyes has got us to a position where our fate is in our own hands. he hasn't signed any of these players and it's not his team. under Slav we would be down already. As for Carroll. he can f'off any time he likes. wage thief. I'm not Moyes biggest fan either, but at least give him some credit if we stay up.

3.) 01 May 2018 09:37:28
Credit where credit is due. Moyes has I believe done the best with the rubbish that's been available to him, except of course we rightly expect better. It all comes back to the board and their big mouths stating they were going to take us to the next level in our new ground!

I now see that they have. A new level of making money for them. Do we change Manager in the summer or will nothing change no matter who is the manager? I think we all know the answer?

How can this be turned around does anybody out there know because the board certainly don't and I've given up caring.

4.) 01 May 2018 09:56:55
Hi Phil you haven’t given up caring mate as you wouldn’t keep coming back on here and rightly venting your anger and frustration . I was all for giving Moyes a fair shot and to be honest felt at Christmas we had the right man for the job. It’s what he’s done over the last month that gets to me in terms of selection. Swapping 3 subs like for like on Sunday at 4:1 when Carroll was sat there summed it up. Like him or not Carroll can turn a game in your favour quickly, we saw that against Stoke. My biggest issue though is lazy players walking instead of closing people down, getting the ball and turning into cul de sacs as they haven’t got a pass on or trying to play out from the back when they haven’t the skill or confidence. As for Adrian . words fail me!

5.) 01 May 2018 10:45:37
Talking of cul-de-sacs, why can’t our captain see a pass to his left? He gets the ball in midfield immediately turns Inside! How many times have we seen him do this and not see the player on the outside? Just wondering why?

6.) 01 May 2018 11:35:46
Because he has very limited ability Jason or doesn’t trust the percieved ability of the person on the left either Cresswell, Evra or Masuaku .

11 Feb 2018 09:09:47
Article in Daily Star (yes I know) stating Sully is going to delegate transfer dealings from now on and improve scouting, any truth to this?
ps. thought we were excellent yesterday, all hernandez needed was to start with quality behind him :-)

Glen1540

1.) 11 Feb 2018 10:27:00
Let’s s hope he dos let go and get an expert in! And not just give the job to jack :)

2.) 11 Feb 2018 11:00:15
Yep, Sullivan video on official site in which he says complete restructuring of player recruitment and then they are trying hard to make things better!

3.) 11 Feb 2018 12:36:12
This must mean that tabor is coming in .

4.) 11 Feb 2018 14:02:17
It's just more bull to stop the march, only a complete idiot would have more revenue, less running costs and manage to spend less money.

5.) 11 Feb 2018 15:06:27
I do believe it's talk to appease the fans we can only wait and see I just want to see performances on the pitch and points on the bored we don't need no march yet.

the plan also states the manager has to see the players live and they must have been scouted 5-6times. they better get started moyes will be very busy and should be going to games right away like we seen in January. this is all good but when we decide we want a player we have to be willing to get the deal done yes of course you haggle. but please no derisory offers and dragging transfers out a lot longer than they need to be maybe you pay more than you wanted to but it's better than losing out, panic buying having a thin squad struggling in the league then having to invest in January when prices are inflated anyway. you may aswell have just coughed up in the summer.

let's hope Michael tabor can get on board aswell for extra financial backing.

we do have a good first 11 but we must look to improve to help retain our best players. also want us to see us sign young quality players. really build a strong team for now and the future.

6.) 11 Feb 2018 15:56:30
Hes said he'll delegate the player scouting and identification.

Who do we all think is still going to be doing the price negotiation with other clubs? No way will he delegate the actual deal making.

Which means we'll be slower and more methodical identifying our targets, and equally hopeless at then getting them over the line.

Also begs the question how we'll sign anyone in the Summer when the manager won't have any games to go and see players at.

7.) 11 Feb 2018 16:07:38
Amongst the million questions that the possibility of m tabours possible money injection raises, is one of more better ( followed by loads more lol ) would you insist on a director of football to deal with all transfer dealings? . I hope so.

8.) 11 Feb 2018 22:41:43
Cheera for replies guys @jasonb, I agree wholeheartedly with you.
A DoF is urgently required as Sully seems to have burnt his bridges with a fair few clubs. Knowing the right palm to grease/ shoulder to rub is soooo important unless you have 100s of millions to spend.

9.) 12 Feb 2018 08:57:44
Its a move in the right direction bringing in a DOF but are we dreaming to think the chuckle bros. will let someone else handle our transfers.

19 May 2018 22:10:09
Given Pellegrinis history I cannot believe he is coming to us. I travel to Malaga regularly and got to see his teams in action - they play high tempo attacking football and don't care who the OPPO are.
Am really glad he is coming, just wished we had got him younger.

Glen1540

1.) 20 May 2018 16:39:45
Hopefully dgs don't try to control him as I believe he would probably walk away if they did.

2.) 21 May 2018 11:36:10
High tempo football . well that would rule 50% of the squad out right there! . and definitely Toure!

15 Jan 2018 16:00:21
To be honest, not fussed about new players - team we have is doing ok.
Would like to get rid of Sakho - would even be inclined to terminate his contract to get him off the books.
CB - Burke over Oxford, send Oxford on loan to a lower league club (should sort out attitude problem? )
MF - if someone wants Kouyate, sell him and keep Rice in the team with Fernandes/ Quina good and promotes youth. Obiang, keep as he has moments of brilliance, just needs his confidence back
Striker - If someone wants Carroll sell for whatever we can and keep hernandez and promote Martinez.
Job done, cannot see what ignings we need when youth can fill the gaps for 4/ 5 months.
Ironmike, what do you think? Are the youngsters ready?

Glen1540

1.) 15 Jan 2018 16:31:08
SORRY, for me only Rice. If we had to depend on our youngsters this season 😥 IRONMIKE.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 17:06:10
Tend to agree with Mike here Glen have seen the U23s a few times this season and they are not the same without Rice

Martinez is big, fast but not too skillful also needs to be a real team player Sad that Holland is injured at mom as I think he could have pushed on through this season.

3.) 15 Jan 2018 17:35:56
Thats a real shame. Have reallu liked rice this year, seems a real talent.
In your honest opinion Mike - do we need any more players? Judging from your response a CB would be handy.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 17:39:06
ps. what chance of sakho departing in any way?

5.) 15 Jan 2018 19:29:16
WH are desperate t9 get rid of Sakho he’s a damn nuisance WE need two quality midfielders at present that’s the priority, IRONMIKE.

6.) 15 Jan 2018 19:39:05
shame about Holland he was touted as one of the closest to make the breakthrough aswell. not sure on his injury status hopefully builds himself back up and maybe could be in contention for late on in the season. shame sounded like an exciting prospect.

7.) 19 Jan 2018 22:35:31
Rice could play against any team in the premiership. A great head on him and he oozes calmness when on the ball. He will make a few mistakes but even our senior players make more mistakes than he does.
I have to say I have been a little disappointed in creswell this season. Not the same hunger and desire as when he first joined the club. Am I imagining this?

{Ed025's Note - there is an article on newsnow suggesting a swap between creswell and tom davies of everton, how would you guys feel if that was to come to fruition?..

07 Nov 2017 09:40:58
Now Moyes is in, will just have to get behind him.

Glen1540

1.) 07 Nov 2017 10:25:42
Agreed mate we have to.

31 Aug 2017 13:01:25
ssn suggesting that Sakho's meeting with one of the Davids delayed as he is watching his horse run at the 3.20 in Chelmsford.
Seriously, one is sunning himself in Spain on deadline day and the other is watching his horse? No wonder our business is never completed on time!
I would let Sakho go personally, he has done well in the past but clearly he needs a change. Would like to see us try and hijack the Llorente move (cant see it happening) or Perez from Arsenal on loan.
Has anyone heard whether we are in for a defender?

Glen1540

{Ed001's Note - I think you need to calm down mate, the horse is one of Sakho's advisors. So they are going to watch it race. It is nothing to do with the West Ham ownership.}

1.) 31 Aug 2017 15:25:03
Fair enough, my mistake.
Still would let him go - if no chance of a replacement give one of the academy lads a go.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, just thought it was only fair to point that out as the owners are getting hammered enough for their genuine failings, no need to hammer them for things they haven't done!}

2.) 31 Aug 2017 15:42:59
Haha!
To be honest, they are not *bad* owners - they just need a hand managing the transfer side of things.

{Ed001's Note - they defo need to get a DoF to help them and to keep out and stop interfering.}

20 Jan 2016 15:49:33
Do not know why we are not looking at Giovinco in MLS playing for Toronto.
Relatively young, proven goal scorer and would likely suit the Premier League with good pedigree.

To be fair, Giroud always plays well (Missus is an Arsenal fan), has a habit of nicking a goal and similar to Carroll.
If we can ship out Hernandez and give Carroll away may be a better replacement than either of them? Would get us through until end of season when we could look for younger players?

Spot on Stubbo - we have spent 100m on quality players who will improve the team.
Only better thing would have been getting rid of deadwood but still fantastic.

In all honesty cannot see anyone buying a 30 year old who will cost around £50m.
If, as I suspect, Arnie is pushing for a wage rise to 150-200k cannot say I blame him when Hernia (sorry, bloke is always injured/ lazy so my nickname) is on 140k.
Own opinion is that if a club comes in with over 45m, take it and reinvest in a decent striker and a back up from South America. Otherwise, give him and Rice *exactly* what they want.

We can attract top, injury prone, players with this policy.
Agree with it for the likes of Carroll/ Wilshere but Rice? They need a 2 tier system.

Can only think of Payet, Tevez, Demba Ba or Ravel Unless it is something left field like Andre Ayew/ Alex Song?
Kinda hope it is Joao Mario though, he had started to play well last year.

I got 59 and was being pessimistic *but* injuries happen etc. I also put a wee bet on a top six finish as reckon it may be in reach (especially if Man Utd continue to implode)
