Any truth to Piccoli? Someone I think could be a good forward for us, but understand Cagliari would need a really good deal since they just got him permanently.

There’s some truth in this BUT can’t understand the clamour, not a question of giving another club a massive profit, doesn’t come into it
£25 m for a comparative unknown is a big gamble, we are not Chelsea, what do WH see in him that others don’t
WH have passed on a number of forwards, Guessand, Arokadare etc, and then go for this player, it’s puzzling, I am amongst millions that know nothing about him of any substance
WH have been stung in the past, you know the names don’t need to add them, don’t be under any illusions, if they go forward, for me it’s a gamble
I can only hope and suggest, that WH know something, no one else does! IF he was 8/10 m ok it’s a punt, but £25 m!

Curiously it does seem like we're set to get both goalkeepers at the moment. Not sure what's going on there.
I do think we're destined for some sort of swap deal with City for Paqueta. Don't know who it will involve? I think it is more likely they come up with some system of paying out a Grealish deal. Could be good for us. Not exactly our ideal target imo but hard to deny his ability to step in and put in work immediately if he wants to.

Pretty sure we are getting beat to Adli, probably by Villa. If we were ever really serious.
Piccoli I rate and think he could be good for us but 25m in our current financials feels like way too crazy of a punt.
Hermansen I think may come through as I think we are the best destination for him to be #1 and already know some staff here.

This one definitely comes down to how much City are willing to subsidize and what wages/bonus he expects. I understand we have some decent room in the wage bill but nowhere near enough for the 300k p/w he's getting at City. They'd have to pay 2/3 or more and even then it's doubtful WH would be willing in the current atmosphere.
As far as the player goes I think he would come here if offered. He wants to stay in England and wants playing time.

I think Nuno has had a bit of a bad shake. He was pretty well loved by fans at Wolves, won the Championship and brought them back to the Prem. He got off to a flying start at Spuds but they were even more of a mess than they are now. He won a cup and the league in Saudi. He even got off to a good start at Forest and I'm honestly not sure where it's gone sideways for him with them. He saved them from getting relegated and even got them European football. I'm reading he's had a falling out with owners or something?

Hope he goes to Burnley instead but if he does he's all but guaranteed to score against us. Will we just pivot straight into trying to sign DCL on the same offer?

The thing that kills me on this one is it's already well known we desperately need a striker. If we spend a 6mo/year limping by on Fullkrug and Wilson it's going to become even more obvious we need one and suddenly we're in even more of a hole in any negotiations. Even the dullest of strikers will only be available to West Ham for twice the value. Kicking the can down the road on this one is going to cost us a fortune in the long run.

He's currently injured and Will Still wants to keep him to try and bring Southampton back up. Definitely think any team after him right now would end up overpaying by a lot.
