with mikael antonio being ruled out for 4-6 weeks meaning we play with a false 9 or jarrod bowen leads the line with so much at stake is it worth looking at taking a look at a uncontracted player short term deal with some good bonuses subject to them being in a good fitness state sturridge/ costa might be worth a cheeky punt also puts the player back in the window.

I don’t think any would be able to hit the ground running. Perhaps get Lingard in the false 9 role and rotate it during matches with Bowen, maybe even, dare I say it, Benrahma.

2.) 09 Apr 2021 13:36:26
whats the worse thing that could happen if they come and train with us at least gives dm/ ai a chance to have a look at there fitness levels gives us a different option some players do keep them selves in good condition.

West ham have met the Gomez price.

bkkhammer

1.) 08 Jul 2019 00:19:08
Too much he's not worth it, I seen him play 8 times last year he's slow as, would rather get someone with pace up top, just because he's young everyone thinks he's amazing. he isn't to be honest.

2.) 08 Jul 2019 06:16:23
I kind of agree. Feel like we need pace. Although. Ashton wasn't fast but was great. Hope to be proved wrong. Pellegrino knwos what he's doing.

3.) 08 Jul 2019 09:02:15
Haven´t we go to lodge the whole amount to trigger the release clause?

If that´s the case then we haven´t met the release clause we´ve just promised to pay them the release clause money but probably in instalments which i´m sure isn´t the same!

Fernandes has joined Mainz for an undisclosed fee.

1.) 03 Jun 2019 21:38:40
Shame, I had hoped MP would have another look at him over the summer.

2.) 03 Jun 2019 22:13:39
maybe he looked at him all season in italy and wasnt what he wanted?

3.) 04 Jun 2019 12:43:28
Dont forget we will sign at least one CM, and still have Cullen coming through, who is WHU through and through, home grown, and is the kind of player we need as he does not get forward much. Not to mention Obiang and hopefully a fit Sanchez as backup.
I liked Fernandes, but he is a player who likes to get forward, and we already have that in Lanzini, Wilshere, and Snods. We need a player who can support Dec like Noble does, only with the legs of Snodgrass. With Cullen, and a key CM signing such as someone LIKE Gomes, then there is no place for Fernandes who was on +40k a week (far more than Cullen) . I think our centre midfield will look like this next season.
Dec and Key signing
Backed up by Sanchez (backup to Dec) and then Noble rotating with the new CM and Cullen as backup.
Lanzini, Snods and Wilshere will all play as the attacking players in a 3 man centre mid, and can also play out wider if required.

4.) 04 Jun 2019 23:19:49
I've watched CULLEN and if that's the type of player you are looking forward to then we are doomed NICK IMO if you didn't know he was a west ham player before the playoff final you would never had said cor what a player he is you can see why hrs at West ham he's found his level imo and would be crazy if Charlton put a bid in for him to turn it down. COYI.

5.) 04 Jun 2019 23:20:59
Fernández has gone on a permanent to MAINZ.

RIP Glenn Roeder.

{Ed077's Note - RIP}

1.) 28 Feb 2021 18:30:55
Very sad 65 is no age at all!
RIP.

2.) 28 Feb 2021 18:48:24
If he were a player now he’d have played MANY times for England. He was a ball playing centre back amongst a time of ‘up and at em’ centre backs.

RIP.

3.) 28 Feb 2021 18:59:52
Thank you for all your efforts at West Ham RIP Glen Roeder.

4.) 28 Feb 2021 19:53:36
RIP Glen Roeder, a gentleman of the game.

5.) 28 Feb 2021 21:51:15
Let’s make sure we get a win for Roeder next week! RIP.

6.) 01 Mar 2021 10:26:22
Highly regarded in the game. 65 is way too young.

Even though the spuds are in talks with joe Rondon we should definitely follow it up worse case levy has to pay more for the player.

Just wondering what fellow hammer fans think about this carabao cup seem to have games every 2 weeks with the way the transfer window is could run the risk of injuring fringe'/ squad players do we just blood the youngsters.

with a lot of clubs have limited funds due C.V. 19 and lack of spectators I've seen post saying we have between 40-50 mill to spend plus what DM generates from sales anderson lanzini amongst a couple of others who maybe are on there way out, what's required 2 strikers DM cover for RB and if funds are available GK to challenge for top spot don't think that will happen in this window. good chance to also bring through the youngters.

id go with pope over henderson would have more of a chance prising him away from burnley on a much lower price that man u would demand for there GK.

im not struggling to understand this ed02 i'm just speculating about the bigger picture if they opted to push forward with this mad plan if it was one team ok but 12 is a big number which could rise to 15 gives them a big voice if they have to negotiate a new deal based around the champions league format proposal . We all know its about money over the past few years a lot of big clubs have been shown to be flaky. The worse thing was those that arranging the new champions league format were secretly where working on something else, Devious f@@kers also with all the players could be potentially free agents?

your missing the point i am trying to make Brazil/ Argentina are not going to agree to not having there best players notbeing available they will want some form of compromise then major sponsors will also want the best players on show then if they organized a competition at the same time as say the euros competing for air time most of these major sporting events are staged to avoid clashes of major events i know what your saying about fifa how many of the brazilan squad are in those 12 break away sides also spain and england also have a high percentage of players within those squads money talks that's all i'm saying.

bkkhammer

{Ed002's Note - The situation is very clear and simple. Players for clubs which are competing in any unaffiliated league will not be able to play in the World Cup, Euros, etc.. I am not sure why you are struggling to understand this.}

seems to me the time of the announcement is critical to there aims they state they wish to remain in there respective leagues and create a closed of competition with guarantees of being in the in the money . they already have there goals and this league idea seems in my eyes to give them leverage over uefa/ fifa in talks about changing and shaping future competition rules and more importantly payments. i'm against it personally but do you think Argentina/ brazil will stop players like messi etc from playing for the nations side. Seems the leagues/ uefa are pissed because the clubs are going to try and dictate payments and we all know how greedy these governing bodies are, already you can read between the lines they will ban players etc small talk is we want to keep everyone happy.

bkkhammer

{Ed002's Note - The position of FIFA right now is that players would not be available for selection if they play for non-FIFA clubs.}
