Question for some of the long time posters, Chelmsford, Markro, Markwhu. Do you guys remember the really angry poster who always wrote in Capital letters so it appeared he was shouting all the time. His posts always ended "EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION AND that's MINE " . can't remember his name but his posts were always hilarious .

Think that was Phil to be honest, he used to post on here when I was first here about 5 or 6 years ago, used to get a bit frustrated as we all do but was a decent guy haven't seen him in a while now.

Chelmsford as always you make very sound and reasonable points but I think we might have to sacrifice the likes of Bowen to be able to increase squad numbers. As mentioned on a previous post I think Bowen is worth Phillips and Origi …. not a bad deal. The only clubs really investing in new players at the moment are those with very rich owners or those that have a commodity to sell (Grealish etc) . I really don’t want us to sell our top commodity, Declan therefore we need to look at other ways to generate funds for deals. In PL terms we are skint, C.V. has hit hard and this will not be a normal transfer window. Areola, Phillips, Origi, Lingard and Rice retained with the loss of Bowen, Andersen and Balbuena would constitute a good window in my book. Any additional loans/ frees on top would be a bonus.

Imo we haven’t signed anyone yet as we have limited funds available and Moyes has been waiting to see what happens with Lingard. Now he hasn’t even made the Utd squad I expect us to make another move this week and to take stock after that. If we get JL Moyes might think that Bowen could be made available to Liverpool in exchange for Phillips and Origi ……its a chess game guys and sometimes you just have to wait for a move to be made …….

Ed02 I think you’re definitely on to something here. The rumour mill seems to be Sima is favoured again which kills 2 birds with one stone if he was bought instead of Danjouma. Sima can play out wide, covering the loss of Bowen and centre forward as additional back up to Antonio and Origi. Areola, Manjankovic (apologies if mis-spelt but you know who I mean), Origi, Phillips and Sima would be a good transfer window.

It was a great result yesterday and delighted to see we’ve just continued the form of last season. I hate putting anything negative on here but when I do its directed at the posters that constantly complain about the slow movement in relation to signing new players. Running a business is a challenge at the best of times, I know I run my own. But running one in times of a global C.V. has been an absolute nightmare! I’m not a huge fan of the current owners but i'm sure they are not trying to set us up to fail in Europe. As the incredibly knowledgable Ed02 has said on numerous occasions financially we have been damaged more than most and this to a large extent must be down to the ridiculous salaries given to the pelegrini/ Husilos signings …. remember, the manager and director of football everybody wanted to stop Sullivan getting involved in transfers?! Unless we sell Dec, which surely nobody wants, there will be limited funds available to spend on squad players, which yesterdays performance showed us is all that's needed. Cover for Antonio and a couple of CB’s should be sufficient.

Been a while since on here, was Dabber Iron but forgot my password. Came off for a while due to certain posters whinging all the time …. they didn’t like Moyes, then they didn’t like Lingard. Soon changed their tune though after finishing 6th! Supporting West Ham is and always will be a Roller Coaster, if you don’t like it then don’t buy a ticket to Alton Towers! For the poster who says were heading for the Championship before we've even kicked a ball …DISGRACEFUL! All entitled to opinions but that's not one, it’s pure negative Clap Trap!
