I have to say I’m with Tin Legs on Traore, very uninspiring player who has failed to reach his potential at everywhere he has gone. Sadly another like Paqueta and Summerville with no end product

Not over inspired because he has a similar end product to Summerville with less skill, but his pace and power could be handy. We are in desperate need of players and most of the options we have at the moment are slow or weak

I’ve been disappointed with Summerville. Lots of hype beforehand, but what has he done of note since his arrival? Yes, he’s quick over the first 5 and quite jinky, but he rarely has a shot on target and hasn’t provided much, if anything by way of assists.
Traore is different in that he has power to go with his blistering pace, but similar in the shots on target and assist stats.
Both are often ahead of play without support. If Nuno can fix that, it could prove positive.

Sorry Markro, but that is nonsense. They are all professional footballers who can play. We are missing several key positions. The problem lies with the club management and coaching. Our recruitment has been woeful, both in coaching and playing staff in key positions.
We need to replace the board and the coaching and medical staff. We need to offload the deadwood players like JWP, Soucek, Rodriguez, Kilman, etc. Until that happens, nothing will change.

Yes, the players are professionals and, yes to a certain extent they are limited by the coach’s instructions, but they have a responsibility to give it their all. I don’t think any West Ham fan would say they did that at Wolves.
Could another coach get more out of them? I really hope so, but they’ve not done well under the last three.
We’re all desperate to see the side improve and do well.

Awarding that goal is a disgrace. They would not have scored if the ball had not hit his arm, which gave him the opportunity to shoot.
The real irony is that there is no doubt that the goal would have been disallowed if he had scored from that shot.
That means that Areola has been punished for making a brilliant save.

I thought that was for the defender if it comes off one part of the body then hits his hand. Striker using it to control the ball is different.
If the ref gave it as handball then he scored from the first shot do you think var would have overuled? i'd say no.
Also if mavro goes down holding his head that should have been disallowed for dangerous play.
Soucek vs man u if he went down would have got a pen, then youve got amad and mbuemo diving but not cards?
The standard of officiating is appaling either that or corruption.
I mean dan burn had a defender in a headlock last week and got a pen given in his favour.

The talking point clearly was the Brighton goal. Ball ricochet of his thigh onto his arm which he used to control the ball and shoot. Disappointed in VAR but, we look a much different team and well organised with good shape. Yes we need players, but, the signs are encouraging

I agree that YouTube “highlights” should be taken with a pinch of salt, but they do show plenty of information about a player. First touch, pace, ability to shoot/score, eye for the defence splitting pass etc, etc.
Of course, it’s not under the pressure of PL physicality, but no other league is, day in day out.

Had a look. Both he and Kebbal look skilful, purposeful and very hard to knock off the ball (which is key in the PL) . Both have good stats for goal involvement.
Full of energy.
At the prices being bandied about:
Lamadrid = very cheap loan and very cheap option to but (no brainer)
Kebbal = £9m has been mentioned (looks an absolute bargain in today’s market) .
I know Nuno is a fan of Traore, but I’d leave well alone if these two are in the running.
I also want to know what’s going on the CDM and CB front.

He needs to be placed front 3rd, or back 3rd - NOT central midfield.
Paqueta has gone. Always flattered to deceive after a strong first season. Once he started believing the hype about himself, his performances faded.
