And so the rumours are starting that there is little or no money to spend (Here we go again). A little deja vu here.

MAINLANDER

1.) 11 Jul 2022 13:03:11
Lille could demand as much as €68 million (£57 million) for the Amadou Onana. SO far we have had bids of £20m and £25m rejected by Lille for him. Why don't we ask them what price they are looking for and then at least try and get near it but if they want somewhere in and around £57m, well our £25m is a bit of a joke

2.) 11 Jul 2022 22:37:03
Easy when it’s somebody else’s money feller ….

3.) 12 Jul 2022 07:16:09
Be realistic and not contradictory all the time. Typical underbidding by us trying to get a cheap deal. We spent nothing in January and what happened to Kresinkys so called "Investment" in players. They've bid twice so clearly want him so at least get near the asking price instead of embarrassing both us and them

4.) 12 Jul 2022 12:43:36
Depends on what you believe is true, latest report I've seen is that Lille have rejected €30m from an unnamed club but are looking to get €40m. That wouldn't put us to far apart if we are the unnamed club. Have to say 40m is a lot for a 20 year old defensive midfielder.

5.) 12 Jul 2022 13:49:45
Reports suggest lille want £50m.

6.) 12 Jul 2022 21:26:53
We have started talks for SCAMACCA apparently.

7.) 13 Jul 2022 11:33:38
Kretinsky isn't the answer everybody thinks he's an investor who will loan west ham money that needs paying back its just a loan the word investor shouldn't be taken as the moneypitt people think he's a very shrewd businessman who knows exactly what he is doing.

8.) 13 Jul 2022 12:23:10
Mainlander I am being realistic and sorry if you think i'm being contradictory but I stand by my statement, spending somebody else's money is always easier than spending your own. The transfer market is a complex place. A selling club, particularly a reluctant one will put an over inflated price on a player and a buying club will always test the water with a low opening gambit. If a deal can be struck they then meet somewhere in the middle. Then the player has to agree terms whilst being advised by agents as to what is the best deal. It’s a nightmare! I certainly wouldn’t want to have to do it . The lad from Swansea was quicker because he wanted to play for us and the badge. Generally it’s all wheeling and dealing which takes time and effort

08 Jul 2022 10:05:55
Apparently we are in talks for Santiago Ascacibar from Hertha Berlin. Nice if we could get him, Justin Kluivert (who can play either wing and up front if required) and Joakim Maehle who can play either flank. That lot costs roughly £32m which should leave about 50p for an out and out striker (Ben Yedder would be nice) lol

MAINLANDER

1.) 10 Jul 2022 16:19:22
I'd rather we got keane Lewis Potter or Sarr over kluivert.

2.) 11 Jul 2022 10:18:56
I'd take anybody up front right about now!

07 Jul 2022 12:43:46
Justin Kluivert a new name on the hit list from ROMA. Young at 23, can play anywhere on the front line, bags of pace, skillful and £13m. Means we have no chance of signing him but if we could, it would be a nice job

MAINLANDER

1.) 08 Jul 2022 06:16:47
i still like Sar from Watford young strong with pace and proven he can handle the Prem.
Sorry lads we have a record of buying overseas players who can't perform in the rigours of our game

2.) 08 Jul 2022 07:19:25
JOakim Maehle still in our radar apparently. Moyes likes him and available for £13m which seems to be pretty good value. Agreed Devon, I like Sarr and Dennis but I'm not sure we want to pay £20m per player

07 Jul 2022 09:49:13
French side Clermont have rejected a £9m offer from Lille for star striker Mohamed Bayo, with Everton and Tottenham also interested in signing the Ligue 1 attacker (and I believe we are or were lol)

Good morninjg, what odds that Lingard joins up with Rooney at DC United?

MAINLANDER

1.) 14 Jul 2022 10:13:49
lets hope so -

2.) 14 Jul 2022 11:43:26
Given up caring.

He had the best few months of his career with us - including a recall to the England set up.

His money-grabbing eyes have thrown it all away.

3.) 14 Jul 2022 13:22:53
Whilst on a 6 month contract he had a lot to prove and prove he did. Give him a three year contact he will loose that focus so thanks for the memories but time to move on from this. Greed seems to be his demands and surely he is a wealthy young man already and should think about enjoying his last few years as a professional.

4.) 14 Jul 2022 14:03:43
He would only disappoint now I fear if he joined us. Happy enough for him to play out his days in a league no-one watches and in several years people will ask if you remember that Jason Lingley guy or some name like that.

5.) 14 Jul 2022 16:24:40
And I just read Rooney talking to lingard lol no surprise there then.

6.) 14 Jul 2022 16:25:40
If only we could get a younger version of him that's not greedy lol

11 Jul 2022 13:06:09
Its Nice to see us trying to be prudent with our transfer business, however, when it has been made clear that Lille will listen to offers of £35m - it does beg the question why West Ham continue to make low ball offers if they really want to sign the player for Moyes? I'll let you guys answer this one lol

MAINLANDER

1.) 11 Jul 2022 14:59:02
I'd like to say its because we are offering £25 million with add ons to be discussed, but. hahaha

2.) 11 Jul 2022 22:33:18
It depends as if there is a set ammount that will be spent i think it should go back to moyes to decided knowing that by paying more for a said play may mean he's not be able get others
We have to work to a budjet he may think he could make do or promote a youngster or its just no possible as we need to streghten other positions more urgently

3.) 12 Jul 2022 05:51:56
Because there is a 10mill difference in valuation. Why would anyone pay more than they think someone is worth. I negotiate multi million contracts all the time and I don’t think I have once said ‘well if that is how much you want then I guess I need to pay that’

4.) 12 Jul 2022 13:50:47
Well apparently lille want £50m so our bids are well short lol

5.) 12 Jul 2022 20:44:42
I want £1 million for my old mini, does not mean I am going to get it, he may be worth that to Lille but if the two parties do not agree then unfortunately the deal doesn’t happen, move on to other targets.

I don’t think any business man pays over the top for what they want.

6.) 12 Jul 2022 21:18:31
It doesn't work like that if a club put a valuat ion on there player then it's there decision to put a price on there player then it's up to us to try and come close to there price not the other way round we can give our price we think he's worth but not the other way round business doesn't work like that he we think a player is 30 mill and the club want 40 mill then move on or try and get close to that price this is what's wrong with our transfer business imo

7.) 12 Jul 2022 22:49:20
Agreed Whorya, you put your price forward and if you aren’t miles apart you negotiate, if you are miles apart you move on.

8.) 13 Jul 2022 07:13:26
Apparently Rice has a verbal agreement with us to stay one more season!⚒⚒⚒⚒

9.) 13 Jul 2022 10:35:08
Saw that has been denied already.

10.) 13 Jul 2022 10:50:29
Spot on SDL that's why our business is done this way but we have to look at we aren't paying over the top for players which is good for our running of the clubs finance's which is very good business if we look at it this way we ain't paying well over the top.

08 Jul 2022 12:18:49
Notts Forest have spent £59.8m and Leeds £70m so far this window. Wow, I was amazed. Keep an eye on Forest this year they might surprise a few people

MAINLANDER

08 Jul 2022 11:12:08
Apparently we have gone out of our way to clear up who was behind the Flynn Downes signing after Mark Warburton talk and it seems it was on his recommendation Lol. so I ask once again, what on earth is Rob Newman doing?

MAINLANDER

1.) 08 Jul 2022 18:20:06
Rob who?

2.) 13 Jul 2022 10:53:02
I want RN'S job

04 Jul 2022 09:59:56
Surely it is now time for Moyes to drop his Lingard obsession after an embarrassing new West Ham snub.
After stringing us and Moyes along for all this time Lingard has reportedly told the Hammers their offer "falls well short" Its a joke and to add insult to injury we are going back in for MOISE kean who can't get in the EVERTON side and who Juventus want rid of? It gets worse by the day

MAINLANDER

1.) 04 Jul 2022 11:33:29
In fairness Lingard has not strung anyone along, he has never said he wants to join West Ham but Moyes keeps chasing him. Let him go make his dance clips on Twitter and we should look for some hard working players, but Moyes really can’t let go.

2.) 04 Jul 2022 12:06:48
Agree he hasn’t strung anybody along, we were all convinced he would come back to us, he never made a statement to confirm that! He is a Manchester lad, free agent, can pick up £5m signing on fee plus £100k per week, stay in the North West within his family unit, why wouldn’t he, I would do the same staying down South if I were in his position!⚒⚒⚒⚒

3.) 04 Jul 2022 15:49:03
Lingard knows exactly what he is doing make no mistake

4.) 13 Jul 2022 11:28:25
Lingard is at the age where he's only after money full stop

Agreed Devon. I Guarantee Moyes is still waiting for Lingard to make up his mind. Rather than spend £45 to £50m on Scamacca I would definitely rather go for a player already in UK (Possibly Championship Bereton Diaz) and then get Adama Onua (fills two positions for one. I also hope we get some full backs. Losing Fredericks left us a bit thin on the ground. I'm wondering also wahats happening with Matsuaku, Vlasic, Benrahma and Diop?

Replacement found for Noble, Areola signed so 2 keepers, Aguerd bought but Diop maybe about to leave. I still think we need a replacement for YARMO, we need at least one full back for Fredericks and a good starting left back cause Cresswell is proned to too many mistakes. Of course we need at least 1 striker and of course squad players to build the squad because we saw last season how hard it became

Yeah agree with ya Mo. A couple of signings in Jan may well have seen us push on but the guys clearly looked tired at the end of a long season. We missed a trick, but this window is a chance for us to put those things right and push on. And this is why people complain and get frustrated because we want our Team to be successful and when we hear of Villa, Newcastle and even Forest doing some great business, then we begin to wonder if its going to be another one of those windows where we clearly need recruitment (and let's face it, we need some serious recruitment in this window), but as previous windows have showed, we either fail by underbidding and the scatter gun approach or take too long and then the player goes elsewhere. Look at the aguerd move which took weeks. Its the frustration caused by how we conduct our transfer windows and I'm still not convinced we will buy a striker this window. It would be very naive for us to put all our eggs in the Broja basket. For me he isn't proven at this level and are we going to pay £30m for him to play understudy to Antonio? I Doubt it. So forgive us for moaning and whining, but we want to some positive moves from our Management

I think as Mo80 points out, we have a fair reason to be unhappy. As fans we can all see and identify what the needs at the club are, just as we did in January and nothing was done about it (and let's be honest, everybody and his dog knew we needed a striker above all else). I think its these frustrations and the way we conduct bsuiness in the transfer windows that create the negativity. Moyes did a great job of getting the best out of what he had avaiable to him last season and now we have some serious recruiting to be done, especially considering we lost KRAL, Fredericks, Noble, YARMO etc and we already had a thin squad. So if poeple want to come on here and have a moan, they are expressing the concerns that lots of us have.

Its the way we work unfortunately. You need a lot of patience being a west ham fan through transfer windows. Meanwhile, Danjuma is on his way back to premier league to Unnamed club, Spurs are hoping to sign Richarlison in next 24 to 48 hours, Keane Lewis Porter preference apparently is a move to Brentford, numerous Premier league clubs are interested in Owen Wijndal, Jesus to Arsenal whilst West Ham still wait for Lingard to make up his mind. Also, I'm not convinced with BROJA. He is a decent player but there are far better options out there for the money. En Nesyri is a better option
