John Arias, Fluminense, , the London club he is in talks with is Palace , NOT WH, contrary to a WH source

Another Timmy pick we could have had if loppy wasn't allowed to pay 45m for an average CB by Sulli. Watch him tear it up in the prem.

BROWNHILL, whilst WH dither around , Ipswich now in the championship, have offered the player a bigger wage And signing on fee, than WH ! and so have another club ( possibly Everton? ) Contrary to West Ham news, and with great suprise, there is no firm agreement with this player, and WH will need to step it up , if they want this player? otherwise he will be another to be marked with an X

The story of the window i'm afraid. Fast approaching is going to be one of the most competitive premier leagues in years and we dither

I must admit I'm losing all confidence in this board. There is always some excuse.

I hear celtic want Irvine? Why then don't we give them Irvine and some cash for Maeda?

Why are our board not thinking along those lines? Chelsea know we want some of their players so why do we ponder and mess about. Pre window everything sounded so hopeful and yes, it's just the start, but, this is already sounding like every other window

Next week it's likely that at long last WH will make a bid for Joel Ordonez Cb Brugge, WH were first but it's been left too long, allowing, 2/3 other clubs to get involved, second others got Euro football, unfortunately don't see it, hopefully I'm wrong

Just out of interest what happened to Raphael Onyedika who we had apparently agreed terms with but then all of a sudden, nothing!

2.) 13 Jun 2025 22:12:07
Agreed with player but not with club as yet? Both Milan clubs are hovering, nothing sealed as yet

3.) 14 Jun 2025 08:11:47
Isn't this the usual West Ham way where we agree terms with the player and then make daft bids to the club and if course the saga draws on and on?

One of the WH ITKs, just got it right, naming 5 player rejections, in fact there's been 9 so far, should we be suprised not at all, there's however a partial answer, couple of months back Chelsea gave WH the list of 14 players no longer needed, now there's 15, it's simple swap 2 plus bit of cash for Kudus, take one on loan with an option, with the bit of cash, make down payment on Cf Fofana 4 players in, when Paqueta goes get Chuckwemeka, so Petrovic, Challobah Fofana Dewsbury hall, Chelsea are desperate to unload people, we are desperate for players there's 5 there, add the half dozen we want to keep, all of a sudden we have a team, it may sound odd but is it, these are proven players, some of the names now being shuffled around for a bid, are just not good enough full stop, every WH fan should be concerned, at the levels of some players now being looked at

1.) 13 Jun 2025 17:21:45
Joyfull, I have no idea why you expect anything different, we are always last to the party every year but manage to sign players. It is mostly speculation in the media that we lost out on this player and missed out on that one. We will sign players, maybe not the ones you or the media want or speculate about but we have ages until the window slams shut. I am also disturbed by the lack of signings, but willing to keep the faith and judge Sully and Potter in a few weeks time and review the situation then.

2.) 13 Jun 2025 17:59:52
Gerry, rejections are not speculation sorry mate! WH had an original list of people, majority of those now for differing reasons have an X on them , In the position WH finished the season, it was obvious that urgent action would be needed, in consideration of the volume of players leaving, it’s a lot of work to install that many replacements, just the opposite has happened, quiet, relaxed, no sense of urgency whatever, yes of course you can buy any odd players to fill the ranks, it can all change next week of course, but I’m not as enthused as you may be, from what has been seen so far, also as already stated level of some targets, may not be good enough, WH need to start restoring, evaporating, confidence

3.) 13 Jun 2025 21:37:43
With 8 teams qualifying for Europe it was always going to be hard to attract players. Add that to who the manager is and Sullivan what have we got to offer? All we can offer is playing in front of a massive crowd who create no atmosphere whatsoever, and before you blame the ground it is the football that’s served up, anyone who witnessed the atmosphere against Sevilla will tell you the ground was rocking. The football and too many tourists is why the place is like a morgue. Not sure how we change it without exciting football and getting rid of the tourists. Friend of mine is a season ticket holder at the spuds and he said their place was like a morgue when they were losing every week.

4.) 13 Jun 2025 22:20:42
Totally right Gerry, it is always the brand of football that creates the atmosphere.
The LS is not a good football stadium, The Bowlyn ground being smaller and a tighter more intimidating stmosphere. The last season at Upton Park was great, the football, the atmosphere, everything. But I can remember going to watch many a game when we were managed by Avram Grant and Big Fat Sam where the atmosphere was dreadful and it was the simple correlation the brand of football and level of excitement or enjoyment it created which was zero and the atmosphere matched it.

5.) 13 Jun 2025 22:21:10
That’s it Gerry WH are finding it hard , To attract better players, so they are looking at some that are seeming to play at a lower level, therein lies a danger coupled with nothing to offer, many players are not attracted. To this manager, that’s were we are, let’s hope it turns upwards

Question to ask yourself is if Evan Ferguson was any good, why have Brighton bought Charalampos from Greece for £30 m at 18 years old! Brighton saw Potter coming and we wasted a £5 m loan fee, on him, now I understand Potters got an interest in Josh Sergeant of Norwich Cf, he's a very average championship player at best, Norwich will rub their hands together, at the thought of money coming in for him, sorry Potter fans I just don't have a good feeling, about him, I genuinely hope I'm wrong

Following last weeks post, you can see, that for every player that the headlines associate with WH, there are 2/3 that don't, so far lots of chat, enquires, but nothing of concrete basis, In football nothings impossible, but very unlikely, the double purchase of Bellanova and an unknown from Atlanta? Not for me sorry, the purchase prices are too high, and these types of player in the Champions league already , and getting at least wages, which WH would struggle to match, don't see it, Bellanova was a target under Moyes, then it was a possibility, but where we are now? For what reason would he come to WH? There is nothing to attract known stars to WH, we must go for players who need to prove themselves, in the prem league, there's plenty of them, can WH find them? That's the problem

How is it fair for Spurs to be in Champions league, they are bottom of the premier league, it's an insult to the clubs at the top of the premier league So poor must be the teams that contested the europa league UEFA need to look at the rules, Wenger is perfectly right, to demand some changes

Joyfull

1.) 21 May 2025 22:18:55
Agreed joyful the europa league should be a decent competition in it's own right not a final between 2 awful teams

2.) 22 May 2025 05:13:45
Luke Shaw after being beaten by Spurs in a crap final: "We're all gutted, it's not how we saw the outcome to be honest, " Shaw said. Are you serious? What player goes into a game expecting to lose? Talk about stating the obvious. Looks like Shaw has all the right attributes to become a tv pundit when he retires!

3.) 22 May 2025 10:36:33
He will be Potters first signing on 150k a week haha, on a more serious note Man U play exactly the same 3-5-2 possession style that potter plays and they are garbage aswell so easy to defend and so easy to counter it's a tactic from days gone by and it doesn't matter who we sign that tactic won't work

4.) 22 May 2025 15:28:28
Leverkusen play the same 3-5-2 / 3-4-2-1 formation as well and they're garbage. Oh wait, finished second in the Bundesliga after going a whole season unbeaten and winning it last year. Their manager is outdated and unwanted too. Oh wait, he is off the Madrid.

The problem both West Ham and Manchester United, isn't the tactics alone, it is playing those tactics with the wrong players.

If West Ham had a dynamic midfield, that could support both defense AND attach, and a centre forward that has pace AND strength (and could obviously hit the target when given the opportunity) the tactics would work.

5.) 22 May 2025 15:29:57
I truly fear for us next season. Potter is clearly out of his depth and Sullivan is going nowhere. We are going to try and sell or release a large proportion of our first team squad. With Potter and Sullivan deciding on who is coming in, and with any decent player deciding to go elsewhere (we are going to have plenty of competition for the signature of any good player), what will be left? Next season will be a relegation battle, and the likes of Leeds will not be such a pushover as Ipswich, Leicester and the Saints this season. Potter does not behave well under pressure and we will not be competitive playing Potterball. My guess is Potter will be gone by Christmas and we are going to struggle to stay afloat in the Premiership.

6.) 22 May 2025 15:52:09
I said this on another website earlier but it is striking how similar West Ham are to Only Fools and Horses
Sullivan the diminutive wheeler dealer that will stitch anyone up, along with the clueless lanky plonker of a brother, Potter in toe! I suppose the only thing is Only Fools was meant to be funny!
I see TS got a job with Barcelona he must be regretting getting the push by West Ham ?

7.) 22 May 2025 18:00:16
Die 4 the formation maybe the same but the tactics are vastly different leverkusan move the ball quickly and attack with pace, the possession football potter plays does not do anything near that, it's not the players he did the same at Brighton with his teams creating nothing always loads of possession but not many shots, as I pointed out it's easy to defend when passing between midfield to centre half to goalkeeper, all you need to do is sit deep press and counter

8.) 22 May 2025 18:11:39
Couldn’t agree more Robbo.

04 May 2025 16:42:22
If Spurs play Man U. In Europa cup final, what a load of rubbish, their euro opposition, must be, Spurs are as bad as us, difference is Levy will spend a fortune, to put it right, will we? Kilman? What can you say? So poor .WH looking at Yahia Fofana Gk Angers, good young keeper, for me I'd rather get him in for a cheaper price, than waste a £18 m bid for Ramsdale

Joyfull

1.) 04 May 2025 17:30:55
Couldn’t bare to watch the game today but didn’t think we would win regardless of who was in the spuds team. Not sure we will sign anyone before the manager situation is sorted out. I was really happy when Potter was appointed as I guess I was like everyone else, duped by the publicity surrounding Pitter. Not at all convinced he is the manager to take us into next season, I think we should cut our losses and get rid, when you compare what the Wolves manager has done with a very poor squad and you look what Potter has done they are chalk and cheese. No I don’t know who should we replace Potter with but giving him time and his own players for me is not the answer.

2.) 04 May 2025 18:35:51
Yeah, I couldn’t agree more, I never understood why Potter was the clear favourite in the first place, but the fans on here and by a huge majority wanted him, This was the only time Sullivan was right, he only wanted to appoint Potter as a caretaker, but he was Harangued by Brady and her husband, and this is the result, Sullivan is now in a corner, twist or stick, does he back a winless manager with lots of dough, or get rid, it’s a lot cheaper to sack the manager, than to get rid of one or two players, that might be useful, he could take the cowards way out, which is likely just to spend as little as possible, to hopefully keep us up, a dangerous game, it’s solely his call

3.) 04 May 2025 22:10:41
Hopefully sullivan will now do the right thing and end this potter is out of his depth, I'm not sure who is right but it certainly isn't potter on what we have witnessed since January

6.) 05 May 2025 12:38:58
We are stuck with Sullivan because he treats our club as a cash cow. If he is determined to stay, he should appoint a real director of football and, unlike he treated Steidten, leave him to do his job properly, including appointing a suitable head coach with PI conditions in his contract. Until that happens, we’ll continue with the cast list of a JK Rowling movie running the show.

If WH weren't. Such penny pinchers! And looked to the future, they should go for investing in a sister club in French Ligue 1 or a club in the MLS In USA, . Chelsea and Bournemouth! Are doing very well out of their respective agreements with Strasbourg and Lorient', we have an agreement with much lower division Vvv Venlo in Holland, which is a waste of Time, WH are falling behind the times, there are clubs in both countries. That WH could work with

First call to Brentford re Daamsgaard, WH enquire is he available for transfer circa 17.5 m Met with subdued humour, as WH told Spurs now with Thomas Frank, and other clubs are in talks around 28/ 30 m! Call to Leipzig re Cb Bashuiba, offer 12 m euro around 10 m, Player just signed new contract valued at 25/30 euro! German club thought offer was plain silly, WH offered Egan Riley, the free agent ex Burnley, virtually same money he’s was on at Burnley, plus a few bits, WH were very keen, player thinks about it, looks to Strasbourg first then Marseille, who offer more, money and longer contract, Looks to me WH out of touch, this is no way to do business, if you havnt got the money no problem , then don’t embarrass yourself, apparently big meeting next week, the whole transfer direction needs sorting out,

Firstly, I want to make it clear that I take no pleasure whatever posting to deride the club I support, I just relay what I hear, two-shall we say minor conversations happened this week, which I think underlines the present situation, I suppose they don’t mean much in context, as the main window starts. On Monday, when the big boss will be back at the head, leading us to pastures anew, so we shall all await, with baited breath the many new players being signed on his return, going forward, , IF a few people want to know, what was said I will post, but unfortunately they underline where we are? Doesn’t give me any pleasure

STUBBO, with your long experience, you have a handle on the situation, according to what I understand, Mavropanos, Cornet and Rodriguez I think will go, but yes we will struggle to get them all gone, and if WH are waiting to sell before they buy, we will get nobody in at all, as our preliminary targets are disappearing, it’s ridiculous, , coupled with this, irregardless of our new data driven technique, it looks like Sullivan does not want to back this manager, the next two weeks will tell the story

Nobody knows the answer to this conundrum, but the feeling is, if he was going to be found guilty, why not do it? If he’s found innocent, the FA are going to get hit with 2 court cases, with big money compensation warranted and wanted, the FA will lose and have to come up with big money, on the other hand, if he’s found innocent the FA may offer compensation instead of a court case, and if found guilty expect an appeal at the Lausanne arbitration for sport
