Those keen to see the back of Moyes will admit it’s been a total disaster since, European football is currently miles away.
At this rate we are going to end up like Watford, constantly sacking managers and only being able to sign mercenaries because the manager that signed you and liked you probably won’t be here in 6 months. It’s a one way ticket to a baron Championship wasteland.
1.) 18 Aug 2025 16:20:04
Whilst I see your point the situation with Watford was slightly different in that it was their chairman and their board continually moving managers on because they didn’t the position the club attained was good enough. I don’t think the fans actually wanted rid of many of those managers because some of them were very good. Same with Southampton.
Personally I didn’t mind Moyes but his last couple of seasons were absolutely dire and many of the things he did then are why we are suffering now. Having a really old squad hardly ever rotating the players so in they were completely knackered. He also got numerous old players on long contracts, really high salaries and we can thank him for JWP and Danny Ings.
We have the double whammy of an absolutely useless board employing totally unsuitable managers with no real plan for the club. Most clubs have directors of football so it shouldn’t matter who comes in to manage as they will have to work with what players the DOF has provided. It is a system Potter should be very familiar with as that is what was used at Brighton and Chelsea.
As I said at the start I do see your point where I don’t believe it is a good idea continually changing managers but Sullivan employed Loppy who nobody wanted and then had to get rid of him. I still feel as poor as he was he should have stayed to seasons end because we were not going to get relegated, and start a fresh this season. But ultimately for me it’s about the football and entertainment and hopefully a bit of success and I don’t think we are wrong to want that.

Certainly getting exciting football under Potter now eh! Think I much preferred Moyesball.

Egg, face? Haha, days like today don’t come around very often.
Support the team, back the manager. Enjoy the armchairs.
1.) 11 May 2025 18:25:40
Especially at Old Trafford. 18 years since we won at Man Utd!
2.) 11 May 2025 20:07:25
We won in fa cup 2016 when payet scored free kick was last time I think
3.) 11 May 2025 20:45:38
2007 was the last time
4.) 11 May 2025 21:08:09
Actually Moyes won at old Trafford in 2021 in league cup
5.) 11 May 2025 21:30:34
Redrobbo, that free kick payet scored was cancelled out, Utd equalised then we lost the replay.

In true Moanlegs fashion - ‘I agree Brooking, those at the stadium are supportive. It’s always those that tend not to attend matches that moan the loudest.’
What part of that says fans at the stadium don’t ever boo the team?
I will wait…
1.) 19 Apr 2025 18:25:17
Well, it was the fans in the stadium today that were loudly showing their dissatisfaction. Or did they intend something else by booing loudly? You can try and twist things said on here, but it doesn’t change the egg on your face. ?
2.) 19 Apr 2025 18:37:23
Moanlegs, it’s copied and pasted. Again, you conveniently ignore a clear question for your attention.
If you can’t understand the sentence above, that’s not really my issue.
As I said before, for most of us this website is simply a laugh and a joke. Why you seem intent on taking posts so seriously and a central theme in your social life is again, your issue, not mine.
3.) 19 Apr 2025 21:49:00
You are entitled to your opinion, but please stop clicking your own ‘agree’ box. It’s too obvious and is indicative of insecurity.
4.) 20 Apr 2025 05:34:58
You do moan a lot to be honest.
5.) 20 Apr 2025 09:09:29
Oh the irony. You need to grow up mate, what are you? Must be around 80, you carry on like the kid at school no one likes.
If you want an educated take, you display strong features of insecurity - arrogance, desire to control the conversation and a need for the last word. Not to mention regularly accusing other users of being other people, an extremely odd behavioural trait.
If you were to look at my house, wife, child, etc etc, you would see that the word insecure isn’t a word in our house. We have everything. You come across as a bitter old man who achieved very little in life. If I am stepping on your toes and interrupting the central theme of your social life I am happy to take a step back, like numerous others have off the website. I must be the tenth person to have come into contact with you and decide they want nothing to do with you. Washed up has been.
6.) 20 Apr 2025 13:15:33
Ooh, you are awful; but I like you.
7.) 20 Apr 2025 15:12:31
Showing your Age Tin. DICK EMERY if memory serves
8.) 20 Apr 2025 15:40:22
Correct Mac. ??
25 Aug 2025 22:18:21
Tinlegs is definitely a closet Ward-Prowse fan. Your posts indicate you would play a 1 in midfield as you have sold everyone else and bought, well, no one.
Any suggestions yet? Attempt number 13…
19 Aug 2025 17:06:33
Who told you that Mac3? Or did you read it?
11 Aug 2025 23:32:10
Hi Moanlegs, attempt number 3. To shift out the 3 players would be, without replacements, inept at best. Can you outline who you would like to see come in and replace those 3 midfielders.
Let’s keep it realistic. I did ask you before last season which strikers you would like to see, you replied Haaland. Hopefully this isn’t as painful and long winded as last season, although we are already at attempt 3.
Considering you know so much, it’s a very simple request. Looking forward to your response.

Ah yes, you are the legal brain here Tinlegs. Give us the legal frameworks in which these lawyers are working. I’m sure there are lots of readers of the website that would appreciate your expert insight.
27 Jul 2025 15:48:41
Have a day off mate. It’s obviously journalism designed to get you to read the article. Entirely likely to have zero basis in reality.
Posting relentlessly, the same thing, just rewritten, doesn’t change anything. Don’t you have anything better to do?
23 Sep 2025 22:00:06
No sorry Gerry point stands. He is quite happy to mock Brooking everytime he posts. Everyone else has asked the same, don't see you calling them out.
All he does is moan and can’t even provide a solution.
So tiresome. I actually think Tinlegs gets hard over the thought of the team performing poorly as it gives him something to moan about.
22 Sep 2025 18:39:01
And who may that be Tinlegs? Lost count of the amount of people that have asked you the same question.
YAWN
25 Aug 2025 22:19:54
He isn’t fit enough to last 90 minutes. All my Manchester United mates say the same, he’s gassing after a hour.
If you want legs in midfield he is not the guy you want. Very telling he can’t get in a poor United midfield.
25 Aug 2025 15:37:47
You are deluded Tinlegs if you think that is true.
Typical armchair, I would follow West Ham in League 2.
I went to every match in the Championship when we were relegated. The Championship is a brilliant division also, if there is no Premier League game on a Friday night I will happily watch Wrexham v Southampton, just as I did this year.
Football is about more than who you watch. It’s spending time with my Dad, performing the same ritual every home game, making memories that will last long after he goes. The European runs we had will stay with me forever, not just because of the football, but because we got to share fantastic evenings together along the way. The armchair just doesn’t hit the same.
23 Aug 2025 15:55:08
I think to trivialise such a serious post is something I would expect from someone who doesn’t attend matches Tinlegs. I understand when you were a boy, match tickets cost shillings and pence but Chris is absolutely correct to post this.
My first matches in the late 90s were kids for a quid. It got me involved with West Ham, that has stayed with me now for nearly 30 years attending matches home and away. The great shame - indicative of the hatred of your everyday working fan. Capitalism at its worst - highest bidders, whoever they are, regardless of love for the club.
