Plse put into rumours section, NOT banter!
Apparently Emery (Seville manager) in for talks today about becoming new manager. Due to Benitez likely to move to Real Emery has now apparently become our top target as replacement for Allardyce!
COYI!

I thought Lassana Diarra still had an issue with his previous club in Russia in terms of still owing them 10 million or so?
Has that been resolved then or was it just an ambitious try by the club in order to extract some money from the player?

Cheers, mate. Yes, we need to shift some players for sure and this is where Steidten will also need to work his magic. Ings, Cornet, Aguerd will be decent signings for some clubs, so we either need to subsidise their wages or convince them that they're not going to get much game time under Lopetegui.
Won't be easy, but if Steidten really wants Kadioglu he will find a way. Also I reckon we will sign another striker, not necessarily Duran, but a yet unknown Steidten special pearl.

Cheers for your input on here, Joyful, very much appreciated!
So, can we gazump Brighton as well and sign Kadioglu? Would turn our window into a 12/10! ;-)

I just find it strange that a club that doesn't own a player yet is initiating transfer discussions.
I know that clauses are the norm now where a loan player can be bought for a fixed price when the loan expires. I just didn't think the loaning club would be in a position to confidently put a player on the market that isn't even their player yet. It somehow feels weird.

He is Sampdoria's player though, innit? Only on loan at Atalanta.
So surely any pre-contract agreements would have to go through Sampdoria first and Atalanta second, right?

Any chance we will sign anyone on a permanent deal? Or will it be loans only?

I cannot imagine that Moyes only picked targets we cannot afford.
It's also likely he will have targets in different price brackets, not just strikers costing 30m or more. Hence it's up to Sullivan to get at least one of Moyes's targets in, not haggle until all of our targets have fallen by the wayside.

I cannot imagine that Moyes has not identified one single target at the striker position who is affordable.
I'm sure he has several targets lined up and not all of them will cost 30m each.

Ah, got ya Mike! Silver lining and all that.

What is the massive coup then?
Moyes doesn't fill me with confidence.

Most of our players are decent if being played with the right teammates, in the right formation, with a positive mindset.
Noble rarely looks good if he has to play alongside Nolan.
Noble playing with Kouyate, Amalfitano and Downing is a different matter.
A new manager with a more positive and forward thinking approach will get more even out of the players we currently have than Allardyce. We may even see guys like Amalfitano, Nene, Zarate or even Maiga being played in the right way.
We may sign creative pacy midfielders who will then actually get playing time. We may see substitutions that make sense.
My favourite would still be Klopp if the big clubs stay away from him. We might just persuade him that our project is exciting and just the right thing for him.
And he wouldn't need 70 million to spend on new players.
In Dortmund he never had a big amount of net spend to play with, his net spending was alway very modest there.
But even if it's not Klopp, but Bilic, Bielsa, Moyes, Howe, Benitez or God knows who, it can only get better now for us, not necessarily in terms of league position, but in terms of performances, feelgood factor and pride to be a Hammers fan again.
