Those who think we are a long way away from the pitch should take a look at AS Monaco's home ground. And there is plenty of atmosphere there tonight v City

And their capacity is a quarter of ours!

Great point and really good performance, personally thought we were better than Everton overall.

Slaven to sign short term contract till end of season after Arsenal game is my take on things as Sully will get his way. If they are going to do it get him in now to work with players, going to lose next to with Potty in charge.

Stupid the rumours floating they want to let Potter take charge of the next 2, so the new manager has the international break and an easier fixture to begin with.

Just get rid of him and put Noble and the u21s coach in they play good football, we might get a bit of bounce with those in charge for Everton and Arsenal, then new manager in for international break and another bounce against Brentford.

Although our better players will be away on international duty during that time isn't ideal.

2.) 22 Sep 2025 12:40:48
I can’t understand all this talk about Noble. We all know he was a good player and West Ham through and through, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be any good at coaching. Remember Bobby Moore? And who says he wants to coach? Maybe his preference is as a director of football. I admit I haven’t followed his career since his technical appointment at WHU and I might be wrong, but love of the club and ability at playing is not an automatic passport to coaching. What we desperately need at the moment is a proven coach, even on a temporary basis.

3.) 22 Sep 2025 15:28:34
Sir Trev did a great job when he stood in. But as you say doesn’t mean he (noble) would do a good job. I think the under 21s manager would be a great shout but that tw#t Sullivan won’t let him take the reins even for 2 games

4.) 22 Sep 2025 18:05:48
@tin, point is I think Noble and Robson will get then coming out fighting until the new manager comes in after Arsenal and I doubt they do any worse than Potter club seems happy enough to write these games off.

5.) 22 Sep 2025 18:39:01
And who may that be Tinlegs? Lost count of the amount of people that have asked you the same question.

YAWN

6.) 22 Sep 2025 21:22:28
Al, I agree, but I don’t think just geeing up the players would be enough. Robson is a good shout though. Keen would also have been a good fit for a temporary post until a proper Director of Football could make a decision, had Keen been a bit younger. The point is, I think an established coach should take temporary charge as caretaker until an appointed Director of Football is in a position to choose his head coach on a performance indicator basis. This is the direction the club should be moving, not just appointing a manager replacement which would just start the manager merry-go-round again. Change has to start somewhere.

7.) 22 Sep 2025 21:48:47
IronGeez why are you having a pop at Tinlegs? Give the guy a break.

8.) 22 Sep 2025 22:41:24
I agree with Tinlegs, a temporary coach appointed to avoid relegation and to avoid a knee jerk incorrect long term appointment is needed imo. In order to put some stats around this I think we need to win 11 and draw 5 of the 32 games left this season in the hope that 41 points is enough to stay up. That means we need to win 34% of the remaining games. The following stats are taken from wikipaedia :

Dyche - 34.41%
Nuno - 48.13
Bilic - 44.53
O’Neil - 31.00
Benitez - 48.3 (since 2019 29.9%)

As Nuno is likely to only want a long term contract of the 5 above Bilic is the safest bet, all the others are likely to take us down.

9.) 22 Sep 2025 22:44:37
Yesterday I said Dyche but having read the stats I would say he’s likely to pick up more draws than wins and again would take us down

10.) 23 Sep 2025 21:22:31
Unai Emery?

11.) 23 Sep 2025 22:00:06
No sorry Gerry point stands. He is quite happy to mock Brooking everytime he posts. Everyone else has asked the same, don't see you calling them out.

All he does is moan and can’t even provide a solution.

So tiresome. I actually think Tinlegs gets hard over the thought of the team performing poorly as it gives him something to moan about.

Joao Palhinha of the spuds said they deliberately targeted Hermansen and Potters zonal marking so that is why they were playing for corners etc. saw a photo earlier of one of the corners and we had 4 players on front stick marking no one and the spuds has 4 on the back stick with no one marking them, then Potter comes out and says he thought we defended the corners well. The man is an absolute moron and needs to go now and take his zonal marking and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Gerry N P

1.) 15 Sep 2025 17:59:13
At half time, the corners were all replayed time over in the dressing room
Nothing was changed, 2 minutes later, unmarked player scores
Moron is the correct term, maybe not even strong enough
He will soon be relaxing at home, checking his monthly wage packet
Brady should resign, for appointing this idiot, in the first place she won’t no shame
Sack him, he becomes the scapegoat, for everything that's wrong at WH

There’s a ton wrong, with WH, Potter is the focal point, unfortunately the board can’t be sacked, they share the problems, more than equally

2.) 15 Sep 2025 18:52:34
I think Brady could and should be sacked as she isn’t a shareholder but a paid employee. I did hear that the lady who fronted up the Saudi consortium that took over at Newcastle was interested in a position at West Ham. Not sure if there is any truth in that or just wishful thinking

{Ed001's Note - Amanda Staveley - she is looking to broker another deal similar to the one for Newcastle. As far as I am aware, they have not yet found a club to buy.}

3.) 15 Sep 2025 19:24:15
Cheers Ed001. Nice to know it’s not complete tosh.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}

4.) 16 Sep 2025 09:15:46
WH have not had a FORMAL approach from Amanda Staveley, principally because, Sullivan s value of WH is far in excess of it’s true worth! if you delve into the figures, over the last few seasons, take into account, stadium lease, players values , debts, and other various assets, and debits, WH have a value between 700 /800 m, maximum , , At and around that appraisal Staveleys consortium, would be interested, , However Sullivan thinks the clubs , worth 1.2 billion minimum, he’s dreaming, further to that, if we get relegated . The hit is so big, the value is likely to sink to 500 m, maybe less, If Staveley made an offer of 700 m the other directors, would likely force the sale, in a stampede to get out

5.) 16 Sep 2025 12:36:07
Let’s hope that happens, an offer, not relegation

09 Sep 2025 11:49:46
Joyfull, you were saying about Ten Hag, what about Nuno, sacked by Porto, Wolves, Spuds, Al-Ittihad and now Forest. Nice few earners there. Probably rock up at our place as he is for free. Only got 38% win rate at the tricky trees but better than Potters 25.% or whatever is.

Gerry N P

1.) 09 Sep 2025 15:09:30
I think he’s a good manger, I’d take him, I would have tanken ange aswell. Do t get me wrong if potter manages to beat the spuds then fair play, but he ain’t going to do it wit just walking pace or Rodrigues in there that’s for sure, spuds are a different beast under frank

2.) 09 Sep 2025 17:29:12
I think Nuno has had a bit of a bad shake. He was pretty well loved by fans at Wolves, won the Championship and brought them back to the Prem. He got off to a flying start at Spuds but they were even more of a mess than they are now. He won a cup and the league in Saudi. He even got off to a good start at Forest and I'm honestly not sure where it's gone sideways for him with them. He saved them from getting relegated and even got them European football. I'm reading he's had a falling out with owners or something?

3.) 13 Sep 2025 10:22:08
Sorry Late reply GERRY, agree, marvellous career, for the lucky few, do six months / a year maybe, in a massively well paid job, fired, take a few months off, waiting for the next stop on the merry go round

Hammer D disaster at Tottenham, really? I wouldn't call a win rate of 47% a disaster, David Moyes had a win rate of 44% in his second spell and Moyes has the best win rate of all our managers!

Joyfull, that is how they look at it, small fee but get 5mil off the years wage bill. Rather than him sit there doing nothing, fee plus wages in effect 8 mil for the player. We can’t shift these players in stupid wages as clubs can’t afford them so this is the best deal for the club.

100% agree Stevie66 everyone needs to stop the moaning and get behind Nuno, he turned Wolves round and got them into Europe and then did the same at Forest. In between he got hounded out of Tottenham, despite having a win rate of 47% which is better than our highest win ratio which is Moyes at 44%. His replacement Postecoglou had a win rate of 46%. He might not be everyone's choice, but he is here now and time for everyone especially, at the LS to get behind him and the team. COYI and welcome to our club Nuno.
