Graham Potter in an interview with the BBC says West Ham will use the summer to try and improve. This man is a moron! If we don't improve we will be relegated. Try and improve, words fail me.

A win rate worse than Loppy and Avram Grant. I can understand some thought he might be a good manager for us after Loppy but can’t understand why they can’t acknowledge how crap he has been.
Was pleased last week but back to normal this week.

Normal service resumes. Please tell Potter that just because a team selection and formation beats a team concentrating on a cup final, doesn't mean it will work against an attacking team who are desperate to finish in CL spots. How many more losses is he allowed before we get shot of him? I might be wrong and I sincerely hope I am, but I don't see that there will be any better football or results regardless of who he signs next season. I renewed early as I want to move further down, but now wish I didn't. I think renewal will be only be about 60% due to rubbish football, rubbish manager and morons in charge of the club. I Know I am not the only one who can see next season has got relegation written all over it unless the board accepts they have again made a mistake.

I agree Gerry that system and formation whoever we sign just doesn't work anymore slow boring possession with no attacking guile or creativity in midfield we only really looked like scoring in the last 10 mins before that we were awful

2.) 18 May 2025 19:43:43
I can’t comment on the game again today, as I gave up my ticket to a mate and didn’t realise it was on sky! Sounds like mixed reviews, sounds like they played well once Bowen scored. Sounds like Guilherme did well in his 10 minute cameo which is promising. One of my basic criticisms from very early on was a complete lack of consistency and that stands. I can’t see them getting rid of Potter at the end of the season so have to hope he can pull a few rabbits out the hat in the transfer window, but find it difficult to trust someone that thinks it is a good idea to start with JWP, Guido, and Soucek plus 5 defenders. I know it worked last week but as you say the manager needs to adjust the team to the way the opposition play. I probably will renew once more, I haven’t as yet but more in hope than expectation.

I think Potter must be playing for the sack, that has got to be the worst team selection is recent history. Rodriquez along side Handbrake and Coufal RWB. Think he has completely lost it.

I think he knows he's safe. It's going to be a tough watch today, if we can keep it tight at least we have a strong bench to go for it in the second half.

2.) 11 May 2025 14:23:59
“These are none of his players so you can only judge (Potter) next season” - commentator on WHU Match Centre live audio.
What absolute nonsense. If that were true, we could never judge the England manager as the players are never the manager’s players as they are all temporarily on loan!

3.) 11 May 2025 18:31:30
Talk about clutching at straws. Have a day off Moanlegs.

4.) 11 May 2025 20:48:14
We could be real Madrid and just won the league, cup and champions league and some would still moan

5.) 11 May 2025 22:31:19
Today was a rare good day at West Ham. I am not too proud to admit I may have been wrong. So if we win our last 2 matches which after today we should. I will hold my hands up and say I was wrong, he is not a worse manager than Julian Lopitegui . He is equally as good a manager as Loppy, as they will both have 6 wins from a similar amount of games. I’m sure that will make you very proud.
Hopefully we can move up the league and be more attractive to incoming players

There is an article on West Ham World titled "The nostalgia effect" which is well worth a read. As a season ticket holder who has attended all but a couple of games at the LS along with my 2 sons, I agree 100%. I am sure there are those on here that will disagree so let's hear from you, then perhaps we can have a debate without offending anyone.

When the stadium was reconfigured to make it "more like a football stadium" the potential football capacity increased to 68, 013 seats. Instead of doing away with concessions and poking kids and old people right at the back, why don't they just increase the capacity? There are thousands of tourist supporters at the games and games against the top teams are genuinely sold out. I am sure if the capacity was increased and tickets easier to get I am sure the support would increase and more than make up for what the lose on concessions. And the dwarf would get bragging right over the Spuds.

1.) 05 Feb 2025 17:49:11
I think it's to do with health and safety they don't have the license for that amount of people so there is more seats than they are allowed to sell.

2.) 06 Feb 2025 08:47:49
Hi Iron.Al You are correct the don't have the health and safety certs but they haven't even tried to increase the capacity since it went up to 62,500 which was in 2022. They were rumoured to be applying to go up to 66,000 but that was a couple of years ago.

{Ed001's Note - the biggest issue will be the same one that stopped Liverpool going bigger than they did. It will be about transport infrastructure in the area being able to handle the thousands of extra people.}

3.) 06 Feb 2025 12:11:56
Maybe Ed001 but that didn't stop them having 80,000 at the Olympics or 80,000 for the Foo Fighters concert amongst others!

{Ed001's Note - ok.}

Mac3, I have no doubt we put in stupid low ball offers but so do the other teams, who would pay full price for something without trying to get it cheaper? And its not for a couple of quid it is millions of pounds, the other thing is all the waffle spouted by the ITK people and journos, they have to print something and anything is better than nothing. If you go on say news now for another club it is full of teams wanting 50m for players and they offered 25m.

Joyfull, I wouldn't trust Potter to sell programmes at the club, I would have done but no longer. As Sully seems to be sticking with him I sincerely hope that I am wrong but I don't think I will. Only 170 goals scored in his 156 games in charge of Brighton and Chelsea speak volumes, he is risk averse and that is an understatement. I don't mind watching possession based football but not the sideways and backwards style under Potter. I luckily sold my season ticket for the spuds game and hopefully will for the Forest game, I cannot justify wasting 7 hours of my life (travelling and game) at my age to watch this utter dross. Clear the manager out and let's start again in my opinion, who with I have no idea but welcome the thoughts of others.

I agree with what you are saying to a certain extent, but some players would rather come to us than sit on the bench at the Arse or Villa etc. It is up to who ever the manager is to sell the rebuild project to players.

100% agree Redrobbo, just look at what Pereira has done at Wolves, worse squad but achieved nearly a 55% win rate against Potters measly 18.75%. Sorry I would get rid now never mind wait till seasons end, absolute madness letting him reshape the squad only to fail, then we have another manager in to restructure the squad yet again. We need some stability and I am sorry to say that is not Potter in my opinion.

I am sure there are some bargains to be had at Chelsea, being as they just seem to buy for the sake of it.

One swallow does not a summer make. Let’s see how we get on against a team that have everything to play for CL, and a team with nothing to lose. If we get minimum 4 points from those I will believe we have turned a corner ??

While I dislike the board as much as the next man, Sully not wanting us to do well I think is incorrect. He does want us to do well for pure financial means, we are worth untold millions more if we are competing at the top end of the table opposed to just surviving. The answer is he hasn't a clue, he is not a football person and never will be, unfortunately things conspire to make him believe he is the oracle, like him only wanting Potter to be given 6 months and him being proved correct.
