Just returned from Brentford. Fans do not blame Moyse, although they do blame Antonio for stopping Benny scoring. At 1-3 we all felt the game was won and we would have got 1 or 2 more. It showed today how much we miss Zouma and Alvarez, we did not miss Pacquetta at all.

More tosh. From what I saw and heard, fans are blaming Moyes’ game management. In what world does he think that Ings and Fornals could do any better than Antonio and Benrahma. He’s totally deluded and clueless and every WHU fan website and discussion forum are saying the same thing.
As for not missing Paqueta - how on earth do you know? We lost badly today and who knows how it would have gone if Paqueta and Alvarez had played? It’s an unknown quantity, Mark.

The trouble is, Osh, that thread is made of steel with Sullivan at the other end! I've lost count of the number of times his job has been under threat. This see saw of will he?, won't he? is becoming extremely boring. Until Sullivan gets some gumption and calls time on this Moyes nightmare, we will have this divisive manager in place. Despite some elements of the fanbase still blindly believing Moyes deserves a new contract through some misguided belief in loyalty as a result of the talented pool of players beating weak opposition in a third tier European competition, it is clear to everyone with a heartbeat that he is incapable of managing a team to any level of success in the Premiership. Even after a spend of nearly half a billion pounds, we are in nothing better than an average position. Much like his ten or eleven years at Everton. That is the sum total of Moyes' abilities and probably his ambition. He will not go of his own volition because he believes the bollocks about him being a successful manager! Slowly and thankfully, even the diehard Moyes supporters like Chelmsford are coming around to realising that maybe his managerial skills are rather limited and this talented current pool of WHU players might actually be successful if they weren't being shackled by an incompetent tactician. The divisive nature of his management on the fanbase would disappear overnight if only Sullivan would sack Moyes. A new manager could build and coach a strong team for the rest of this season and the summer pre-season in readiness for a real assault on the Premiership next season. Come on, Sullivan, show some metal - in fact, show some Irons!

Difficult game tomorrow. I feel a draw would be a good result. Villa are good at home. Our next set of fixtures are: Everton, Brentford, Forest, Burnley, Palace. Be good if we can collect 10 or 12 points from those.

Good game for us to measure where we are tomorrow. Having played City and Liverpool - we are not on their scale, whereas ourselves, Villa, Spurs, Utd, Newcastle and Chelsea are in the race for 4-6. Nicking points from these games are crucial. I think we'll get a draw v Newcastle. Hopefully, Antonio is fit so our 11 is unchanged.

The starting XI has been announced. Antonio is the only real weak link, but at least it’s not the overpaid Ings. Let’s hope he has one of his rare good games.
I hope Soucek maintains his improved form. No doubt Kudus will be introduced at some stage. As long as Fornals stays on the bench.

Look how deep we've sat in the 2nd half compared to the 1st half and you ain't going to get offsides playing that deep we sat higher in the 1st half and it worked a treat but the ref bottled it in the 1st half with BRUNO GUIMARES should have been sent off but hey ho.⚒⚒⚒

I'm not going bang on about the ref here, but if we do go on to lose, then we have a stronger case for a replay than the red whiners do after their spuds game!
That said, Moyes possession-less game plan runs into massive problems as soon as the opposition has more than your one shot on target in the stats columns.
I reckon they'll score again and we'll have someone sent off before the end of this game.

Personally, I think David Moyes cost us 2 points with his selection. What does Kudus have to do to get in the starting XI? Again, Antonio very poor.

I think we played really well overall, lovely build up for the first goal with Ant playing a prominent part, then lovely cross from Emerson giving the rejuvenated Soucek an open goal? Kudus goal was superb. Yes we can all be picky here and there but I was well pleased with our play. Agreed Ref had a Toon shirt on when he booked Emerson for asking for a yellow card, then let Almiron off when he did the same. Hope he gets slated on MOTD tonight ?????⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒COYI

Those of us at the game all felt if Bowen had scored the sitter in the 1st half it would have been a different result. We were in the Carpenters Arms talking about it after with quite a few fans.
Replying to Chelmsford. I did not say he had a bad game, but his 2 misses did lose us the game.
Everton's 2 centre backs were very good.
Regards to punishment. Players have to pay their own fines, and they usually put money in a charity account that the captain/manager looks after.

Moyes was correct in stating there was very little in the game. The difference was Bowen. Today, he missed 2 easy chances. We all say how good he is, but yesterday his 2 chances; the left footed one in the first and the header in the second cost us the game. It was a poor performance. Once Kudus was booked he was non existent. Overall, no one played bad, but no-one played well.

Totally disagree. We've had one bad game and you are falling apart. Show some character. Only City, Liverpool and Villa have beaten us. All 3 are fine sides. Show some strength!

I'm a Southgate fan. He's got us to a final, semi and a quarter final. Please don't say with this set he should be winning. The best set of players we've had came under Erikkson. We have 2 world class players in Kane and Bellingham. The rest are very good. The team to avoid until the final is France. Apart from that, we have no-one to fear. France are similar to us.
