thoughts on Rafiu Durosinmi rumours? Sounds like we are lowballing (classic)

CMMV

1.) 30 Dec 2025 14:24:07
Sounds like he has had problems with ACL injuries. But we have to gamble now. They say he is similar to demba ba, who whilst didn’t manage to keep us up but I thought he was a really good player and scored plenty of goals in few games

2.) 30 Dec 2025 16:16:28
I'm seeing that Strand-Larsen looks promising, loan and obligation to buy this summer.
Then this guy could be a younger understudy.? He's scored a few over in the Czech Rep so might be OK but that injury makes it a cheapish gamble. I suppose anyone coming in now in Jan would be a gamble.

Any idea what's going on with Guilherme? Rumours that we'll sell him in January. Think that would be crazy - a loan I can see working but will come back to bite us if we let him go permanently

CMMV

1.) 12 Nov 2025 22:17:32
Its a very bizarre situation indeed. None of the 3 managers he’s had at WH appear to rate him yet Steidten paid £20m plus for him. I wonder if he is a problem child? The snippets we’ve seen I’ve felt given a run there could be a really good player there but I’m not a professional football coach …there is obviously something not right

2.) 13 Nov 2025 09:19:11
There’s no problem with Guilherme, as a player or person, he hasn’t met with perceived expectations, that’s the nub of it

WH want to part with him ( and others ) , obviously would like to get their total outlay back, looks unlikely

There will be customers for a loan, WH would prefer a sale if possible

3.) 13 Nov 2025 10:40:50
I agree selling him would be a huge mistake imo, kid has a lot of potential he just needs a run of games which i don't think will happen here so why don't we look to loan him, then we can review in the summer.

4.) 13 Nov 2025 11:34:14
Think is Joyful if he hasn’t met the perceived expectation then there is a problem with him as a player ….

5.) 13 Nov 2025 12:07:40
There must be something up with him our squad is extremely light at the moment and he still doesn't get a look in, he should be a perfect replacement for summerville when he needs a rest as he has similar attributes

6.) 13 Nov 2025 12:44:11
Dabber, Guilherme is training well, that’s what I mean is nothing wrong as a player

7.) 13 Nov 2025 12:49:27
Bang on RedRobbo

8.) 13 Nov 2025 14:34:04
I can’t agree. The kid just needs more experience.

9.) 13 Nov 2025 22:44:59
Don’t get me wrong, I like the look of him but 3 coaches have ignored him. Personally I hope Nuno gives the lad a go otherwise how does he improve. It’s really odd given how thin our squad is ….

10.) 17 Nov 2025 01:31:57
Whats the point in haveing an Academy if our youth are not getting the chance to progress to the first team

11.) 17 Nov 2025 11:30:52
You’re missing the point. Everyone agrees that good youth players should PROGRESS to the first team, but they shouldn’t be suddenly landed there without a graded development. That could be detrimental.

any truth in the Sudakov rumours?

CMMV

1.) 21 Jul 2025 12:59:06
Enquiry has happened, WH have made countless enquiries, this window, basically is the player for sale? In this case I would say yes, Sudakov is quality, and that’s the type of player we should be signing, ATM better than Macatee in my book, price won’t be less than 30 m euros, probably Shaktar will ask for 40 m euros, I think that WH will fail, if they try a loan with option, loan with obligation might succeed, outright purchase will succeed, but at what price?

08 Jul 2025 11:37:41
Linked with Arnau Martinez - right back at Girona. Any truth in it? Think we need a left back more than a right back really.

CMMV

1.) 08 Jul 2025 14:56:51
Lots of links, lots of enquiries, lots of talking, up till now, not many realistic bids

2.) 08 Jul 2025 15:14:11
Yep good at talking mulling pondering interested in! Horse rubbish

18 Mar 2025 11:48:00
Anyone know what's going on with Guilherme? Looked great in the few moments he's had

CMMV

1.) 18 Mar 2025 14:39:02
Look at it this way, if he doesn’t get his chance, in the next 9 games, you can indeed ask the question, what is going on with this player? If he’s not quite there play him, with the youngsters, or send him out on loan, or sell him, no point in having a perennial bench warmer

2.) 18 Mar 2025 16:18:46
To me it’s almost as baffling as when javier mascarano could not get into our first team. At the time maybe one of the best midfielders in the world. I know there were other things at play there…

Kieber Lamadrid - what's this all about?!

CMMV

1.) 19 Jan 2026 16:42:58
Have a look at YouTube.

The Venezuelan league isn’t much to go by, but the lad can play and has both flair and an eye for goal.

Loan with option to buy for £1m has been mentioned.

Why wouldn’t you?

2.) 19 Jan 2026 18:05:08
Had a look at him. Nothing special, but at that price who’s complaining? However, the question has to be asked, ‘Is another left winger a priority position? ’ No.

Cannot believe there are fans who want Bilic or Parker, let Pardew!

Agree that if we don't get 3 points against Forest the club should pivot to planning for the championship.

In my view that could present a real long term opportunity to gut the club of dead weight, antiquated processes and structures, and start all over again.

Focus on youth, get a young attacking manager, model our recruitment on the likes of Brighton and Brentford, accept it's a long term process and back the club.

Obviously very hard with Sully and co in charge but you never know, this could spell the end of him.

The worst option in my opinion is to do the expected, hire an average manger from the merry go round, approach things the same, but miraculously expect different results

CMMV

1.) 04 Jan 2026 11:11:03
Most sensible post I've heard for a long time. Fingers crossed its what they do.

Offload our assets now and get best price and prepare for next year

2.) 04 Jan 2026 11:18:04
Whilst Sullivan is there nothing will change
WH spent £2.5 m setting up, a data driven system, for player recruitment
What for I don’t know, never used, dumped after 4 months, Sullivan has his cheapskate ideas, he won’t change, whilst he’s the chief shareholder, I fear for the future of WH

WH will be massively devalued in price as, and if, we drop, we can only hope that some consortium, will see us as a future prospect

3.) 04 Jan 2026 11:53:29
CMVV, I mentioned Pardew as we are going down. Everyone needs to accept that. With Pardew it would give everyone breathing space, plus Pardew is a Cup man. Hopefully, he could take us a few rounds in the cup.

4.) 04 Jan 2026 12:21:02
My point is that it's at best a short term fix. It's not the appointment of a future-facing club that plans for the long term. We all know the rot runs deep. I think that means we should accept that a few years of pain while we totally remake the club is worth it for the long term pay-off. Pardew might take us far in a cup - though I have my doubts on that anyway - but I'd sacrifice that for the overall health and success of my club in a heartbeat.

5.) 04 Jan 2026 12:58:00
CMMV, I think you misjudge what a lot of people are saying. For example, I for one have suggested Bilic as a TEMPORARY coach until the end of the season. That IS a short term solution for the remainder of this season. If we are destined for Championship football next season, at least his team would provide some entertainment as opposed to the ‘backs to the wall’ stuff we’ve become used to under our last several coaches. And who knows, we might, just might, escape playing Bilic’s gung-ho attacking football? I don’t think many see Bilic as a long term fix. As I said in previous posts, we need a young progressive coach who can cut his teeth in the Championship. If we do, as expected, go down that is. If we stay up by some miracle, we should go all out for someone like Silva or Frank (if he leaves Spurs), but realistically that’s not going to happen under Sullivan and Brady.

6.) 04 Jan 2026 13:48:40
Doesnt matter who comes in they will be set up to fail under Sullivan. Nothing will change under the current ownership, relagation doesn't magically make them good owners that know what they are doing, they are clueless.

Stadium is awful, and we will be stuck with it in the championship.

Only good thing if we go down is that we have a good batch of youngsters coming through, but they will be poached when we likely fail to come back up.

I can see us ending up like Leeds or Sunderland, the big difference is they had proper football stadiums, we need a new owner that will buy the stadium reconfigure it or builds a new one.

Hope i'm wrong and a win against forest is the catalyst for a good run of games, but it looks like sullivans incompetence is finally catching up to him, if we stay up its only prolonging the invetible until Sullivan steps away.

7.) 04 Jan 2026 14:17:19
Loosely connected to ‘gung-ho’ managers, I just accidentally came across the Clive Anderson interview of Brian Clough on YouTube. Now that is what I call a football manager. If you haven’t seen it, it’s well worth a watch. Cloughie fits well into Dabber’s idea of a disciplinarian. They certainly don’t make ‘em like that anymore!

8.) 04 Jan 2026 15:07:21
You’re not wrong there Tin Legs, Cloughie would have ripped them apart yesterday ….what a character!

25 Aug 2025 21:14:26
Surely we go for Mainoo?! Stinks for Sullivan if we can get a loan deal

CMMV

1.) 25 Aug 2025 22:19:54
He isn’t fit enough to last 90 minutes. All my Manchester United mates say the same, he’s gassing after a hour.

If you want legs in midfield he is not the guy you want. Very telling he can’t get in a poor United midfield.

05 Aug 2025 08:12:18
If Chelsea are trying to offload Jackson we should be all over that.

Also still no legs in midfield. getting worried

CMMV

1.) 05 Aug 2025 12:50:51
Chelsea value him between 80 and 100 million. ? Bob Hope and no Hope I'm afraid a complete non starter.

2.) 05 Aug 2025 14:25:18
Think towards end of the window he is someone they will have to accept stays or goes out on loan with option for around 40mil max!

big big mistake selling Magassa in my opinion. fans won't want to hear it but he is way better than Potts. Should be keeping him and starting alongside Fernandes
