So we start the week with Lingard, Broja and Onana and here we are getting toward the end and it looks more like Lingard to Forest, Broja to Newcastle and Onana to Liverpool. Unless things change soon I see we will actually be struggling for mid table this season as the chance to push on will be gone.

Unfortunately its thye way we do our business. SCamacca apparently was all agreed, signed etc and now we are not interested. We should have had the majority of our business done by now but no. Quite clearly we need vast improvements and if we have learned nothing else, we;be learned that teams that do very little to strengthen struggle next season. Remembering that last season we had a small squad and it showed at the end of the season. We now have a smaller squad and we've done very little. Our poriority should have been to get Full backs and striker FIRST, but no, we buy, CB, midfielder from championship and make a loan signing permanent that's IT! Meanwhile Forest have brought in 11 players? How can they and we can't because its not as though they have brought in bad players either. ITS A JOKE

Lingard going to Forest…:? My view… who cares. Let the money grabbing sh*t head go.
The fact he couldn’t get game time at Man Utd was probably down to his mentality and attitude as opposed to he footballing ability.
His behaviour and how he has conducted himself the last couple of weeks speaks volumes.
Believe me, we dodged a bullet here.
Let him languish in the footballing wilderness if Forest get relegated.

I live in Notts and you can't get any tickets at all. Some serious excitement up here for the new season and they forest fans are very hopeful of a successful season and TBH, the business they have done I hope they do. When clubs like us, who had a successful season last season, back in Europe this season amd we cant' compete with the likes of forest? Tells me a big story. I'll not be making the effort to travel down to LS this season. Oh yeah, It now looks like Matsuaku is staying put which just abiout sums up what a shambles and disgrace of a club we are. I really hope we get punished week in, week out because we just never learn how to do business

Don't panic. I'm sure by the time the season kicks off we'd have made such massive signings as McNeil, Barkley, Januzaj and an unknown AM plucked from obscurity who Moyes will mould in to a solid 5 goal a season striker.

The problems at LB will simply vanish now that Masuaku is staying, so that's good. Everything's going to be just rosy and I think we can look forward to a highly satisfactory 16th or 17th place finish next season. COYI!

And Aguerd is injured with no updates yet can't be a good sign.

Wonder what's going on with Onana seems like our latest bid wasn't rejected are they considering it or have we annoyed them that much with low bids they've stopped responding.

Reports would suggest Broja wants the move but tuchel doesn't want to let him go. Unfortunately holds up our business same with lingard now he looks set for forest we will have to look at other targets.

I understand the frustration, at the same time, I am actually quite relaxed about where we are currently.

We had a deadline to turn Alphonse Areola' loan deal to a permanent one on the 30th of June. So we got that deal done. Great Signing!

We signed Nayef Aguerd as a left footed central defender, who will be the long term replacement to Oggy. Great Signing!

We have signed Flynn Downes as a replacement for Alex Kral. In my opinion we are still light in the middle of the park and another central midfielder is needed.

With 5-6 weeks of the transfer window left, we still, in my opinion need a left back, a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a forward. If those four additions come in, I won't see this transfer window being anything other than a success.

David Raum at left back is being looked at. He'd be a great addition.

Amadou Onana in central midfield. He'd be a great addition.

Jesse lingard as the attacking mdifield. Whilst I hate the way it is being reported and the fact it APPEARS he is lookiing for the best financial package, who on this site can honestly say if you had the money to be picky about your next job, you wouldn't explore every option before making a decision? He'd be a great addition.

Armando Broja as the forward signing. Again, he'd be a great addition.

With all those players coming in, be it before the Manchester City game or not, that would have been an outstanding transfer window and our starting line up come September would have been strengthened from back to front, with decent back up.

We need to be realistic here. I would be absolutely staggered if we end up signing any one of Raum, Broja, Onana or Scamacca, since I don't believe a word that's coming out of the media or the ITKs.

In all honesty, at this moment in time I think it's doubtful that we'll even sign a LB or a bona fide striker. Even if we do, it certainly won't be a player of the quality and calibre that we'd all been hoping for - and that probably goes for any other possible incomings, since despite all the bluster and alleged ('phantom') bids, I have a horrible feeling we're looking more at the bargain bin rather than the top shelf.

The good thing about lingard was that no transfer fee was involved now we have to find money from somewhere to buy another attacking midfielder/winger, that might mean less to spend in other areas.

Broja, Onana and Raum would be great signings that's looking like 100m easy. That won't leave much for anything else maybe we could get Januzaj on a free certainly not a bad option. Probably not much in it between him an lingard as Ed mentions below he's never really had a good run of form, arguably his best run of form was about 10 games he played with us. He should be grateful for 100k a week forest are taking a gamble let them them crack on. Sarr/terrier are better younger options anyway if we've got the money

Interesting reports saying Lingard is on a fairly low wage at Forest, they don’t seem to be adding in the signing on fee when doing the comparison.

Well colour me staggered. Scammaca signed for £30.5M + addons and a 10% sell on clause. Really thought it was going to be another case of "one for the cameras" bid. Perhaps all is not lost after all and things are really going to heat up at the LS!
