Morning all, last full day in Turkey and will be taking off bang on kick off time tomorrow so won't be able to follow the football and only know the result when we land, anyway out of all the names that have been mentioned so far who would be your preferred choice for the managers job?

Out of all the REALISTIC managers actually mentioned, Nuno Espírito Santo, because he will improve Mads Hermansen being an ex goalkeeper himself and he will sure up the defence. However, he is not a long term solution because he doesn't play the expansive football that excites.
I wouldn't be disappointed with Edin Terzić but think he'd have joined last year if we were actually interested in him. So don't see it.
We were previously linked to Sérgio Conceição but he joined AC Milan and we signed Graham Potter instead, I wouldn't be disappointed with him but think he'd be a risk and I haven't seen his name linked recently, so again I can't see it.
I think all of those are realistic, but I think the first two are the most likely of the three. They are however, the only three names I think are available and not currently attached, that I would be interested in.

DIE_4_WHUFC, Bilic and O’Neil have been heavily linked and are not attached, so another two cheap options for Sullivan ?

Your question was "of the names linked who would I want" and the truth is, only Nuno Espírito Santo or Edin Terzić.
I don't want Bilic back. His teams were not fit enough, the transformation between the distances covered in games under Bilic and Moyes was RIDICULOUS.
I don't want O'Neil either.
Realistic appointment that would excite me, but has the potential to be a huge mistake if he doesn't have an immediate impact, so therefore is too much of a risk is Sérgio Conceição.
No 1 choice - Sérgio Conceição (if we take a risk)
No 1 choice - Nuno Espírito Santo with a very close second choice being Edin Terzić (if we don't take a risk
I'd rather not go for anyone else we have been linked with THAT IS AVAILABLE.
There are a load of managers I would go for currently in employment at other clubs, but I have chosen to focus on the currently available, unemployed options.

I think you are right regarding Bilic. Great first season but our players were so unfit his second season and we saw the results. I think it is because his first forays into management was international management where you get the players already fit.
From names I have heard mentioned over the last few months I would like to see xavi but can not see him wanting a challenge like West Ham. Someone mentioned a couple of German (Schmitz was one) managers currently out of work. Totally agree Nuno would improve us but he could only be a stop gap.

Die for are you serious, Nuno will improve no hands. The only thing that will improve him is if he buggers off to a league 1 or Championship side. Absolutely awful signing by an equally awful manager. Another one on a long contract that we won't be able to get rid of, as who wants a second rate goalkeeper who is frightened of his own shadow on corners or free kicks into the box?

I think the lad will eventually be off- loaded to a lower league side at a vast loss once Potter has been shown the door.
