Sunderland interested in Kuzmanovic
QPR interested in Zupata
Cardiff interested in Montero
All were scouted by us and rumoured to be coming to us. All would fit in the team nicely and solve some of our problems.
What's going on??

What about James Mclean at Sunderland when Martin o neil gave him run of games he looked lethal, would be cheap and then we can concentrate on a carrol back up!

They've just accepted a bid frm Wigan for him.

Exactly my point they wanna sell, we need a winger on the cheapish, he has PL experiance and is half decent!

He is sh*t* why Sunderland want rid of him. quality required not numbers

Allardyce's means of securing Premier League safety last term-by placing emphasis on discipline and organisation at the expense of flair and panache-provided his side with a platform to build upon and grow ahead of the upcoming campaign.

However, West Ham are in serious danger of undoing some of that good work unless Allardyce adopts a tactical Plan B and bolsters his strike force soon.

At present he has just two other senior strikers at his disposal, namely the wildly inconsistent Ricardo Vaz Te and the unproven Modibo Maiga, and neither have adequately demonstrated their ability to lead the line on their own in the top flight.

Carroll has been plagued by injuries since the final months of his time at Newcastle and could struggle to hit the ground running when he returns to Allardyce's starting lineup.

What started as a summer of aspiration for West Ham could soon morph into an autumn of discontent if Allardyce fails to address his attacking issues-and soon.

Totally agree and it could all end in disaster. We need to get of to a flyer and pick up as many points in the early games as possible but we need a flippin right sided winger and striker

And West ham wanted to push on this year for a cup? Anothert stunt to sell tickets when in actual fact the way things are going they are going to lose fans

The west ham board need to dig deep and go get a striker that can get goals.

When have West Ham ever got it right. let's hope this is not the start of a Wolves or a Charlton. The next three weeks will tell all.

Thought this was the banter page, not the moaning bu**er page.

Wolves or a charlton are you serious? even with there signings our squad is still better all round than Norwich, WBA, Newcastle and dare I say swansea's if we are two players away from a really competative team this year!

So then, no rumours on this site since 5th August. Is that it then all the players are settled in there new clubs or rejected a move to West Ham that there is no one left but Defoe. Oh dear oh dear. QPR planning to sign the guy that we could not obtain a work permit for? what is that all about, a smoke screen for our secret striker signing that nobody knows about or just a realisation that we actually can not raise the money from our seemingly overflowing transfer budget

What happened to kicking on from 10th place last season according to the west ham board. How they doing that by bringing in a reserve goalie and a RB

I think we can safely say that West Ham are quickly becoming the laughing stock and an embarrassment to the league what with Sullivan Jr and his merry tweets and the clear inability to obtain players that championship clubs can. The warning signs are already their and they can look forward to a very long season battling it out at the bottom

Wernt we not so long ago apparently signing duvan Zapata but couldn't get work permit now qpr r getting him says a lot bout us

07 Aug 2013 01:07:08
QPR in for Zapata, so what I going on with the information coming out of West Ham. We can't get permit but one week later a championship side are looking to sign him. Something isn't right!

Totally agree. I don;t believe we ever were in for him. If we really had £6.8m don;t you think we would have spent it and maybe gone after Rhodes. We have NO MORE MONEY and we will only get a player in once clubs announce the 25 man squads. We'll then chase any of the dregs left over. All summer we've been harping on about a MARQUEE signing apart from Carroll. look at the hype in the news about bony and none of it was factual. How does a team like Swansea attract bigger players than we can? The reason is because we owe too much money and we have to strike a balance. I know its difficult but WE NEED A BLOODY STRIKER

A team like Swansea you say it as if there a crap team they play great football something we will never do with Sam in charge there on the up and the one a trophey last year

Not to mention their in Europe. Totally agree with all the comments. Bony interest was a smoke screen to get AC to sign. All the other names been touted about are just to sell season tickets and kit sales. Apart from the AC we've only got a couple of freebies and infractions from last year the starting eleven has only improved at left back. We've been promised a lot of things in the build up the OS move over the next 3 years improving the team, climbing up the table and maybe even getting into Europa by the time we get into OS where in reality it's all about survival until we get into OS. Personally I've never been a fan of BFS! However you have to respect what he's done for us over the last 2 years- promotion and finishing 10th. He's had a lot of work to do regarding building a new team. All the teams that he's managed are resolute and hard to beat- great. Your also notice that when he leaves these clubs they generally get relegated which is because he builds a team like he's doing with us which is full of the same sort of player that can only play he's type of football. When a new manager comes in and tries to implement a more expansive attractive flowing passing style of football the transition simply doesn't work and they come unstuck. No doubt were less of a soft touch now, we defend better as a team all over the park and teams find us hard to break down especially at home. As we all know are away record last year was abysmal! and if it wasn't for our form in the confined hostile space which is Upton Park infront of our vocal adoring fans we would have been finishing up around relegation. Yes we've got the OS which should be great for the club kicking on in the long term! But if the owners are ambitious as they obviously are securing the OS and talking about us being in Europe in the next few years and battling with the big boys there's no way we can do that with BFS. Once the club hopefully makes it to the next level BFS's type of player, style of play lack of knowledge tactically and strategically we not do! At the moment however it serves a purpose. At all costs we must remain in the BPL for the next 3 years! Until the OS the owners won't have a lot of funds to splash having to get the 70mil off the books! They went all out for AC because he is perfect for BFS! He will build a team around AC which will keep us in the BPL for the next 3 years and to them that's worth 16 odd mil! Unfortunately from here on out its going to be a SLOW process. A lot of cheap players, a lot of loans, a lot of older players that are coming to the end of their careers etc. No doubt the owners will have to keep the fans happy by giving us 1 better player (marquee) every summer. There's still 3 weeks to go and as every fan knows we need goals! Desperately! AC will be out for the first month and no doubt for another couple of months during the season. As a previous post has said we've only got the unreliable RVT (championship player) or the unproven Maiga. As it stands at the moment were in trouble! No doubt waiting for all the squads to be announced so we can pick up some scraps to get us by. And I'm afraid that will be the theme for the next 3 years, keep us up and get us by as cheaply as possible! (And clear 70 mil of debt) during this time under BFS it's best not to expect too much! Pace, skills, technical ability, craft, panash, youth. Goals! What we will have however is a solid hard working team with guile and guts and a never say die attitude and we may even turn over a couple of top 6 teams like we did last season. The foundation is there! Now we need some pace, some skills and some goals! Who knows we just have to wait and see if they manage to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat? let's hope the latest rumours- QPR after Zupata and SUNDERLAND after Kuzmanovic do not come off! They would add to an already frustrating summer and what with the latest twitter fiasco, it's all a bit embarrassing! Zupatas a young raw talent, bit of an unknown in Europe but in South America they're raving about him as if he's the next best thing. Strong bit of pace and scores goals and would be a good investment at 5 mil. If he were to have a fantastic couple of years in the BPL his value could climb to 15mil. Not to mention hell be in the World Cup next summer. Would be embarrassing if QPR nab him as we apparently dropped out due to work permit issues. As for Kuzmanovic, I for one would not be amused if Sunderland were to nab him for 5 mil. He would be perfect for the mighty hammers! Suits BFS style of play, Big, Strong, long shot, and can spray a superb long pass. The difference however is that he also has a lot of industry. Got good feet, vision and a good all round passer of the ball! He might enable us to hang onto the ball a little longer, get some passing moves going and counter attacks. Again at 5 mil he's a steal! Maybe Sinclair or someone similar on loan for a bit of counter attacking pace on the wings and that should eleaviate a bit of pressure in games and give us another mid table finish. Whoever they plan to sign in the next 3 weeks let's hope they hit the ground running because there's some points to be had at the start of the season with our fixtures!

Nice to see someone has spent some time thinking about the current situation. Whilst I don't agree with some of your views, it makes a pleasant change to some of the blinkered drivel thar appears on this page.
