is any potential deal for konopolynka completely dead? (excuse spelling). we would be a different force all together with a signing like that just doubt the money would be there

edds is it possible that in the scenario that west ham do sign enner valencia, will they still have funds to sign some of the other targets muted such as konopylanka? we are also being linked to micah richards in a few forums and I don't see how our transfer budget could stretch so far unless the fees being touted in the media are being paid in installments? I think we are having a great summer of transfers regardless and look forward to the new season and seeing hopefully a new style of exciting play

coyi13

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to get in to discussing money but all of these players have a number of clubs chasing them - and WHU know that.}

1.) I agree with coyi13. I think additional signing of konoplyanka may be a bridge too far having apparently already signed Valencia for £12m. My understanding was that the kitty this year was £20m and I think we have already overspent. My guess would be all signings now may be loan players. I hope I'm wrong but that's how I think things stand t the moment. My belief is we approached both Valencia and konoplyanka not to sign both but to cove our bases. Kind of first come first serve.

2.) 14 Jul 2014 18:43:04
Thing is, money at any football club is usually not a problem, the papers say we have £20 million to spend, but if you were the owner a club, put yourself in the position, the two David's are worth a lot more than £20 million, obviously we don't have a huge amount of money to spend, but if they and big sam desperately want someone I'm sure they'd try their best to raise the funds.

3.) 13 Jul 2014 10:03:20
Ed, fair enough on the money, can you though share who else is being targeted assuming the Valencia deal goes through. Also can you let us know those you believe are paper talk and unrealistic

{Ed002's Note - I am told it depends on budget. Konoplyanka is possible and a left sided centre back is needed. WHU may look to a loan for a couple of youngsters.}

would like to see us go all out for lukaku this summer if there is even a slight chance of him being allowed to leave chelsea. talk of us having a 25-30 million transfer budget and i'd happily see all or close to that gone should be sign him as we would be a force to be reckoned with and he would bang in 20 goals a season with the right delivery! AC and lukaku up top would be every defenders worst nightmare. and when we really think about it we don't have no many holes in our squad that we could really improve without spending big money anyway, the biggest hole is our lack of cover up front. any other business could be cheap, swaps or frees and big sam is a past master in wheeling and dealing! then money from the odd dead wood sale can be put towards some of the less pressing holes in the squad. very wishful thinking but that's my dream signing for us anyway {Ed002's Note - As it stands right now there is every probability that Lukaku will be moved on in the summer - although there is someone putting a lot of effort in to get Chelsea to give him another chance. Borussia Dortmund, Shakhtar and Roma. He won't be moving to West Ham.}

coyi13

1.) Romelu Lukaku has said he wants to be playing Champions League football next year, and whilst I am a huge West Ham fan, even I am realistic enough to accept that the Moon colliding with the Earth during the match against Hull tonight is more likely to happen than West Ham qualifying for Champions League Football this season. I am not even sure CL Qualification is mathematically possible for West Ham any more.

2.) Lets face it. we will never get to champions league football with the Dirty Daves and fat sam at the helm. Something needs to change in the next few years. Number 1 being the dinosaur tactics!

reports that betting is suspended by some bookies that allardyce will get the sack after a flurry of bets and this afternoons board meeting.

coyi13

1.) We can only hope {Ed039's Note - from what I can gather you wont need to wait very long)

2.) Sam on his way yet anyone know

3.) Finger's crossed

4.) All wrong, according to sources this morning. He is staying. West Ham will give SA 2 more games to prove he can turn things around.
The club is having difficulty in attracting new players and in attracting a replacement for the manager {Ed039's Note - And do you think he will survive a defeat to Cardiff this weekend? I dont, from what I have heard a "mutual consent" package has been thrashed out, like you say, its the replacement that is holding things up. Just delaying the inevitable)

diame expected to sign a new deal over the summer around the 55,000 mark in wages. talks ongoing for Gary Hooper (8million) who favours a london move. similar bony talks for a more expensive 12mil. big sam considering making offers for figueroa on a free or rekindling the olsson flame with blackburn. simpson move to be expected also considering the only drawback in january was his injury preventing any assurances with a medical. new keeper needed to add competition for jussi widely expected to be united's lindegaard or fulhams stockdale. talking fantasy now, i'd love to see moves for scott sinclair, and why not skelenburg, the keeper who fulham are interested in? he is the dutch international goalkeeper and could add a lot of class to the west ham lineup. west ham could similarly do well to raid a few of the likely relegated sides eg qpr (hoillett - previously linked with remy etc etc etc). reading (lefondre?) and wigan (ramis? just missed out on him last summer). but as stated the majority of the second part is wishful thinking. COYI

coyi13

1.) Gary hooper was in estate agents with his father yesterday, stated he's not going to spurs. lokking at house in old harlow. work that one out. West Ham United fans bony has never spoken to the clun neither has agent of rhodes. forget those two. figueroa being chased by fulham, Ivan ramis on csrds. and agent of bendimo speaks to West Ham United next week, West Ham United are not interestred in david stockdale as 1st team gk. don't know where that comes from they are looking at a b undesliga gk can't find out who yet// have just heard they are talking to assou ekouto from spurs. theirs mileage in thT ONE.

2.) I heard that sam is looking at Simpson razvan rat (frees) lindgaard loan tie mo diame down on a long contract and we will sign 3 strikers out of hooper Rhodes Carroll or bony I would expect Carroll and hooper also looking at sending Elliot lee out on loan to a league 1 team to gain experience

3.) Can now confirm bids for al-habsi and ivan ramis. wigan want noble in p-ex if they stay up¬. they have definetly asked about him. if hooper fails expect bid shortly for pele graziano West Ham United still keen on him. and another juve player a centre half. bopth north east clubs in for tompkins. what's the attraction?. EVERTON keen on diame. but are willing to offload miralas and jelavic who interested West Ham United previously. still trying to establish which german gk the interest is in?.

4.) Ter Stegen young gk from gladbach

5.) Why would West Ham let a 24 year old midfielder who is West Ham through and through leave for Wigan in exchange for a 31 year old GK and an older defender! Work it out! Noble wouldn't want to leave either!

i know that 75% odd of fans voted to see sam gone next year in the recent poll but for some reason I can't help but to find this harsh. sam was asked to get us back into the premier league, and he did it first time, no messing about. keep us there, and he did it. keep us there again? He did it! IMO Sam has been a loyal servant to this club and we owe him a lot! why shouldn't he be given another crack at the pot next season? The request from the board for next year could simply be that we play more attractive football and finish in the top ten with perhaps even a glimour that we might compete for europe. he has done everything else so why can't he be given the opportunity to do this too? worst case scenario is that we stay in the premier league for another year (sam doesn't do relegation) and we can part ways at a later date if style of play doesn't improve. it is of huge importance that we are still playing premier league football when we move to the olympic stadium and I think sam is the man to maintain our premier league status. next season we will have a rejuvenated ravel morrisson back to terrorise defenders with his creativity (as said so by the man himself via twitter) and with a few of the right signings we could be a force to be reckoned with. sam has a lot of good things going for him that I feel many fans frequently take for granted, for instance his ability to get the best out of players such as winston reid, mark noble etc. or even his ability to get us solid at the back, considering how difficult we are to break down and how many clean sheets we have kept this year (which goes a long way in the premier league). or even his knack for a stellar signing here and there that other clubs might overlook e.g adrian and stewart downing who he really has gotten the best out of this year. I know he has made a few dodgy signings such as maiga and rat but when we think back to his ivan campo/jayjay okoccha days at bolton its fair to say that he has an eye for a flair player aswell which should excite fans especially when that is the direction we are suppossedly headed in this summer. signing another strikers to play off Andy Carroll up top is pivotal this summer, perhaps someone small and quick (dreaming here but what about remy or chicharito? we have been linked with ba, and there are a few championship defenders i'd take in a heart beat)! for next year, a leaf out of javi martinez's book wouldn't go amiss either. two pacey wingbacks to support us in attack could really change our entire outlook next season and improve our style of play. keeping hold of winston reid is another must, as is a new winger to keep the pressure on jarvis who has been dissappointing more often than not. finally a rock in the middle of the park would also be ideal, would allow noble to control the middle of the park and help him dictate the game as he does so well at times. I read today (in the s*n admittedly) that wanyama is unsettled at southamptom so why not? quality, not quantity this summer, in BFS I trust!

coyi13

1.) You raise some good points I think sam will be here next.
europe our squad is far to thin and lacks quality in depth for europe.
you mention andy needing another striker to play of him its sams reluctance to play a second striker means its hard to attract another striker of quality look at remy /ba/bony none wants to warm a bench bfs sets up to spoil and defend and try to nick a win but don't lose ok he has become very predictable.
half our squad are on the wrong side of 30 we need to start bringing through the youngsters and the andy carroll saga nearly ruined us. I think if we would of had a decent striker we would have finished in and around 7th
.

2.) You watch that 80% against Sam fall down to about 20-30% if he buys the right players and begins to play 2 or 3 dimensional football rather than hit the donkey up front for 90 mins. To line up with either 2 forwards and a supporting man or alternatively donkey with 2 playing directly off him will show he is listening and wants to satisfy the fans. If we keep the same setup as this season its going to be another relegation battle at some point

3.) Our problems this season started from not signing that 2nd quality striker and not having that 4th choice cb.
seems bfs loves an unbalanced squad last season had 7 strikers on the books this season only 2

apparently stoke interested in man city talented youngs striker john guidetti at around 5million. we should be in for him aswell in my opinion or at least players of similar circumstances and quality! west ham brilliant at bringing young players through into first team whilst improving them along the way. he also has played and scored regularly in holland and due to his age he would surely be more agreeable to playing second fiddle to andy carroll when neccessary if we play one up front. sam allardyce take note haha

coyi13

1.) Agreed, if true we should be all over that transfer…but I bet we aint. Mores the pity,

Right age, reasonable cost, no idea his weeklies, but being youth system it shouldn’t be too large.

Ticks all the boxes…which is exactly why it won't happen.

dream come true this summer would be sinclair, odemwengie and kalou. mighty hammers would be a force to be reckoned with! all good value for money and realistic wages

coyi13

1.) How about Emenike Kalou and Vydra. If we make these three signings a top eight finish should be on the cards. If we sign EMENIKE I'm having a party ha.

rumours that lukaku is up for loan again next season and may even be available for permanent transfer of around £15mil. if we were willing to fork out close to that mark for Carroll which I could see happening due to liverpool's stance on recouperating as much of the 35 as possible, why not put that money toward the battering ram lukaku who has nothced up 15 goals this season? {Ed001's Note - they paid 18m for him, why would they sell for less?}

coyi13

1.) Yea I read that earlier but same article said he could be available for around 15. ill try find the article again {Ed001's Note - cheers, probably just a lazy journalist making up nonsense again to be honest.}

Id take neil lennon allright! look at the amount of tarnished gems he turned into champions league beaters on thw cheap. forster, wanyama etc with a few still learning their trade and continually improving whilst still there eg. van dijk

Agree completley with barnie884, would be better off with crouch not that i'd want him either but he'd at least fit the type of replacement to fit in with carrolls style of play

Demba ba went for 8million today aswell granted he would be on big wages but it still puts things into perspective

Couldnt agree more with you if the fee is as reported to be 15mill. sometimes its worth taking the risk though so let's hope BFS knows what he's doing and that valencia turns out to be the 15-20 goal a year striker we crave. one more big money flop and sams gone
