ssn are reporting that Enner Valencia is done, but the snag we hit is that his team turned around and demanded an extra 3mil. We have now paid 15mil for Enner Valencia.

Really not happy.

You've got Caciedo on a free, Riviere going to Newcastle for 6mil, Chicarito and Welbeck available for 10mil. Even Remy is available for 12m.

Im in the same boat, he really needs to find the back of the net a hell of a lot if the 15m is correct, would have much preferred Chicarito or Remy and spent the rest of the cash strengthening other areas. let's all hope he makes us eat our words though! I just can't see a guy who has been up against Mexican league back lines, bring home the bacon when he comes up against Kompany, Terry, Mertesacker and stick them past Cech, Hart, Lloris, Mingolet etc etc the list goes on

I for one am happy with all of our purchases this year I think by January he will be fireing on all cylinders and will be banging in the goals until them Carroll will get plenty with the new system we will be playing

Couldnt agree more with you if the fee is as reported to be 15mill. sometimes its worth taking the risk though so let's hope BFS knows what he's doing and that valencia turns out to be the 15-20 goal a year striker we crave. one more big money flop and sams gone

The figures being reported are wide of the mark! Valencia's club announced the deal is 6.5 mil plus 2 mil add ons with 10% of next sale therefore a good deal and some way off the 15 mil being stated

4) You don't know who would join/won't join. If we are prepared to offer the likes of Kieron Dyer/Lucas Neill 80k a week who's to say we wouldn't pay a top class striker the same.
