Lassana diarra is training with us in hope of getting a contract. what do you make of this and do you fell he could be a good signing
1.) Is he really? I think he would be a good defensive option for at least the rest of the season! Solid and pretty pacey too, just getting on a bit now so it wouldn't be a long term thing
2.) Im reading up on Lassana situation and I didn't know Moscow let him go in the summer last year. Why has nobody picked him up? Is there a big injury problem or something. Eds or anyone shed some light?
{Ed001's Note - he was unfit and was unable to sign elsewhere in the summer anyway, I think his registration was still in the hands of the club until after the window shut, which meant he was not available as a free agent until the next window opened. That is if memory serves me rightly.}

Joseph yobo is talking to us about a free transfer on a short term deal as cover. sakho is free to play now and we are still in the fa cup.

Marco motta has been offerd to us as he is a free agent. He would be a good signing from juventus as cover or straight in to defence

Adebayor has said he really wanted to move to us but them tight person spurs refused the move. why have we left it this late to get people, free transfer market it is then, that's if we can even persuade them to sign

Gignac would have been an amazing signing but it just seems we must be doing something wrong as 8 deals feel through in one day, unless there is a deal being made still and we don't know about it

Seems Levy handed a bit of revenge last night as it was he who blocked last minute moves for Kaboul and Adebayor.
Add insult to injury and is it not supposed to be Spurs that REID is joining in the summer.
Personally, I would have swapped Reid for Distin and Cash yesterday. If Spurs wanna play those games

Yeah don't know what's going on, Fletcher looked done and fell through, all other targets the same. what kind of deals/packages are we offering? Amilifintano, Sakho and Hendrie also nearly didn't happen. what sort of clauses etc. are we asking for?

I can't believe we had 8 deals that failed, what exactly are we offering these players, we needed a back up defender and now looks like we will have to try sign a over aged, past it defender and it has been said that roger Johnson is to come back, we can forget top 6 if we get signings like that. dg and ds have let us down today

Whether its true or not, but I heard that all we were willing to offer was loan deals and players we chased wanted permanent moves.
Whats worse is that we've brought back Zarate who made it quite clear that he doesn't want to play for Sam (and Sam never wanted him). Carlton Cole was told to leave and he went to West brom only for that to fall through and of course Reid will now leave for nothing in the summer.
What a joke???
Why did we leave it until the last day to try and get anything done and then as always we used Scatter gun approach "line up loads of targets and see which one we can get the best deal for".
Instead we should be targetting and just buy them.
I still maintain that Sam wants one type of player whereas DGS have other ideas and hence why we have so many issues on Transfer periods
I also hear we may be back in for Johnson at Wolves

Great news for United game sakho and Valencia partnership is back as Carroll is out, we need that spark from the beginning of season and these two together were awesome. just hope it's kouyate back in the middle and not Nolan

I think we should go for Robert huth of Stoke and have cover for rest of season, I recon it would be a good loan deal. There is a lot of free transfers for next season and the one I recon would be amazing for us Fabian schar and he would be ideal to replace Reid

There is so many talented players we should be looking at who's contracts are expired or expiring. Andriy Yarmolenko of dinamo Kiev, Fabian schar fc Basel, giorgin chiellin juventus, Sebastian giovinco juventus, Fabian Delph Aston villa, Andre-Pierre Gignac Marseille, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Nigel de Jong ac Milan, Michael carrick Man Utd, lichensteiner juventus, Andre Ayew marseille, Adrien Rabiot psg, all these players would help us for that champions league push and it's about time that we signed world class players and become the best team in London
1.) Lichtsteiner would be a good option granted we don't land Jenkinson. Need that CB that has the ability to replace Reid because he is gone in the summer. Other than that another attacking midfielder would go down a treat to move Nolan to the reserves once and for all next season. I think it will all happen in the summer, can't see them doing any major business this window

I have heard that we could go for Alexander pato he has been offers to qpr but they don't seem interested. I think he would be a good addition and still has a lot of talent. I still think big Sam is up nolan's backside and we will never get rid of him, he has past it and would be a great championship player

Chelsea are to bid 21 million for Valencia and truly test us, I just feel a bid like that we won't say no, problem is we haven't got a lot of time to replace him and his quality. losing him would be a big blow for our push for top 6. we have been offers Diego forlan but he is to old and not the same quality, there is a couple of good strikers I think could be good for us and cheap, loic remy and alexandre pato, I would prefer remy as he would fit in with our style of play and he is a great finisher.

There is better strikers out there for that money or even less for example Alexander pato and he is younger and for 5million I think it would be worth a gamble. I have heard that Chelsea are going to test us and bid 21 million for Valencia and I feel that if this happens we won't turn it down, the problem is would we be able to replace him and his quality at such short time.
It is terrible how on twitter and tv gold is saying don't go to bed to get us excited that we're getting someone then a hour later he says sorry deals have derailed and the other offers fell like a pack of cards. How can 8 deals in one day fall through what was we offering them peanuts when there happy to pay s*** Nolan big money and keep Carlton cole who wanted to leave. if we can and don't fail with this it will have to be free agents we go for
